for you today we have a list of preferred destinations david uh ESPN is reporting that the Suns are working with Kevin Durant to find a trade and that the early suitors include the Rockets Spurs Timberwolves Knicks and our Miami Heat we’ll talk about what the Heats trade package could look like and what they might need from Kevin Durant to make it happen here in a second but we should start uh I think at least with a look at the other teams and what it is that they could potentially offer because that’ll give us a good baseline in terms of where Miami comes in and how their how their trade package kind of stacks up to them so uh when you see this list Miami Minnesota San Antonio Houston New York potentially and we’re already getting some other reports from the New York Post that maybe the Knicks aren’t involved but let’s just throw the New York Knicks in there just for the sake of argument when you see that list how do you like the Heat’s chances [Music] i feel like it’s kind of fair i think it’s a they could make a competitive offer in years past it felt like they were really more or less desperate for something to really have to break right the Lillard trade in particular comes to mind like they just did not have the kind of assets that could compete favorably against other teams and while I think some of the teams on that list definitely have more to offer than Miami at least Miami’s offer isn’t as glaringly bad as it has been in years past we talked with Keith Smith yesterday and he talked about how after the Jimmy Butler trade Miami is actually in a better position to pull off a trade like this because they have more resources other kind of salaries and obviously now they have three first round picks that they can move including the 20th pick uh in the draft later this month so um look let’s let’s let’s jump right into this um the Spurs and the Rockets can easily beat Miami’s best offer we know this my biggest question with them and we can get into what those trade packages could look like right the Spurs it would be Kell Johnson and Harrison Barnes or salary and then some sort of combination of young players right they’ve got Jeremy Sohan Malachi Brham couple of other guys on that roster they would not I don’t think it would be crazy if they made the number two pick available for Durant i don’t even think they would trade Stfan Castle maybe they could be negotiated into giving up Deon Vel um maybe but I’m not really seeing that in any of the sort of the fake trade ideas that have been out there right and then they’ve got but they have like a billion picks right so they can give Phoenix um all the picks that they need to basically reload and then you know some decent young players role players etc um the Rockets it sounds like any deal from Houston would have to involve Jaylen Green and then it’s an assortment of players salary picks and of course they’re holding on to a lot of those Phoenix picks right they have all those Phoenix picks that they got from Brooklyn in the trade that they made last uh summer and so I think the Suns would very much like to have their their picks back if they were going to move on from Kevin Durant the big question with San Antonio and from Houston is do they even want Kevin Durant right i I haven’t heard any reporting that links the Rockets to Durant in terms of um a heavy pursuit maybe if the cost was really low they’d be like “Yeah I get like here’s here’s Jaylen Green and a couple of firsts and some salary filler you know but I don’t know that they’re going to put their best stuff on the table it feels like they’re maybe chasing something bigger so if they don’t put their best stuff on the table well that’s good for Miami in a potential Durant pursuit.” And then the San Antonio thing is interesting too and you asked me about this the other day about that report and there’s a lot there’s been a lot of reporting now lately that you know maybe San Antonio is a realistic destination for Kevin R i just don’t know how much of that is smoke or or or real at this point yeah seems like they’d be operating at a different timeline i I don’t I mean having Chris Paul on the roster is one thing but that was mostly Yeah i Yeah it’s tough to envision San Antonio being the right suitor although they I think they’re clearly the front runners in terms of asset uh allocation or whatever they they have the most resources I think in terms of all the other teams there houston i mean is Jaylen Green as the centerpiece of that trade is that something that’s of interest to Phoenix i mean especially when you already have Deon Booker on the roster i mean that would kind of relegate Green to what I’ve long said has been his natural a sixman and I don’t know that that’s necessarily what you want to go out of your way to acquire but I guess the same argument could have been made years ago for you know any team looking to trade for Tyler Herro at that point in time that was his perceived ceiling was that he was going to be just a sixman and a good one at that so I there’s there’s a lot of different permutations there again Miami I think they have a a pretty good place in terms of where all these teams rank so I it’s not as dismal as it might have been in years past do you want to get into the specifics of what Miami might be willing to offer or anything like that well before we get to that I want to talk about the New York and Minnesota offers because I think those are the more interesting ones right like the Spurs and the Rockets are sitting there in terms of we kind of have all this stuff but we’re not sure we want to use all this stuff on KD 37year-old Durant is he right for a Webinama Spurs team is he right for a really young Houston Rockets i think the Rockets are still waiting for Devin Booker that’s what I think uh but we’ll see right tbd on that um and obviously if Giannis were to come available but that doesn’t sound like it’s going to happen now more reporting about Giannis potentially staying in Milwaukee but um Minnesota that that seems to me to be a team that should be and probably is inclined to trade for Kevin Durant we know that they had conversations before the trade deadline right that was reported that’s out there um and the Knicks I don’t know what they’re doing at head coach it doesn’t seem like they know what they’re doing at head coach they’re just they’re calling coaches who currently have jobs and trying to get them but um sorry not interested yeah I’m I’m waiting for the Eric Spolster report the Knicks called the Heat about Eric and Pat Riley faxed them and said “Bleep off.” No I I you imagine the the drama it would create if Miami is the one team that actually allows the Knicks to contact Eric Spolz knowing that he was not ready to leave or anything like that that would be so interesting uh the Knicks call see what happens calls yeah see what happens um the Knicks if they offered Carl Anthony Towns that could probably beat any Miami offer towns is a polarizing player but he has got a really close relationship with Devin Booker like they are best him Devin Booker D’Angelo Russell those guys are best friends um so I would imagine Devin Booker would say yeah do that one if if he were even asked and I’m sure Durant would be fine with going to New York he’s been to New York before he’s made that decision so uh but I don’t know if they’d be willing to i don’t like do you trade Carl Anthony Towns for Kevin Durant towns is what 29 30 years old like do you trade him for Durant i don’t know i don’t know that you do that and then the other version of a Knicks offer would be something like Muel Bridges Josh Hart Mitchell Robinson they don’t I think they can only trade one first round pick and it might not even be that um then you’re gutting your depth pretty substantially so I I don’t really know what the best Knicks offer would be i don’t know what I don’t think you can move I don’t think you can include uh obviously no Jaylen Brunson i wouldn’t even include OG Anobi that to me would be I would draw the line there it’s like we need that guy for defense um especially if we’re moving all these other pieces but um any thoughts on the Knicks offer before we get to the Minnesota i mean Cat I think that’s the huge X- factor there i think you know obviously there’d be interest from Phoenix because you could say you know this is our pairing of the future two allstars etc i mean and he’s a really good player so you the sale to the fan base is we’re going to continue to remain competitive we’re getting everything that we possibly want and we’re going to continue to build our team here you know just switching out all-star names there i think Phoenix has been reportedly looking for an answer at center which is Towns’s position he certainly fits that i mean at least offensively correct yes um I I think New York might be interested in I think there was enough you said polarizing and I think maybe this is just might be the fan perspective i can’t speak to the front office’s view but you know maybe Tib’s commitment to Carl Anthony Towns might have been a factor in his dismissal i’m not sure if it was or not i we haven’t really gotten any kind of reporting or clarification on that but I think that time might be done as good as Towns is I think they if they’re interested in finding a player or if they can find a player that’s significantly better or even comparable and I think KD still still fits that bill they’d be willing to move on from Towns despite the age difference or anything like that just because I think Towns deficiencies defensively were a pretty glaring problem during their playoff run and they just you know I I maybe it’s being maximized maybe that’s just fans talking and yelling and kind of screaming at what went wrong and everything else like that but you know this the way to sell it for this team and for that fan base they had expectations of winning a championship they thought they were going to cruise to a title after beating Boston and they obviously did not meet those expectations and so that being the case at least you can sell well we got KD you know maybe a couple years later than we thought we were getting him but we got him and now he’s going to be able to bring that championship mentality to this roster and so I I could see the appeal for New York there um as far as how that stacks up versus Miami’s potential offers yeah again if if you were including towns in that kind of deal it far eclipses anything Miami can bring i still think the best offer might be the one from Minnesota and I think that might be the one that Miami has to worry about the most we’ll get into what Minnesota can offer and then what the Heat can offer next here on Locked on Heat today’s episode is brought to you by Game Time there’s nothing like the NBA playoffs and the intensity the buzzer Minnesota package for Durant this one to me is really interesting i think this checks a lot of boxes for Phoenix and it could be really competitive I think with anything that Miami offers so the one that has been bouncing around league circles and different podcasts and people who are plugged in that keep talking about this stuff Rudy Gobear Dante Danchenzo and Rob Dillingham for Kevin Durant maybe there’s some other stuff that goes back and forth but that’s basically the deal i think that’s an awesome deal for Phoenix goar solves your need at center at least in the short term dante Demezo is a very good player he makes sense you need more role players that’s sort of the idea here and then Rob Dillingham was a top 10 pick last year and you you and maybe he’s your long-term point guard and back court mate with Deon Booker right so you’re getting the young talent under team control you’re getting the good role players with Goar and Danchenzo you’re way deeper than you were you got you’ve addressed basically the the center spot the perimeter and the back court in one fell swoop maybe you can get a draft pick out of it too i don’t know there’d probably have to be a third team involved to get Phoenix a salary cap relief that they need that’s sort of the tough part and with Minnesota where they are is Jay McDaniels going to opt in or out or not Jay McDaniels rather Nas Reed and what do they do with Nikil Alexander Walker like it’s it’s tough but it sounds like it can get done between Minnesota and Phoenix of all the deals we’ve talked about that’s the one that I think is the best but maybe maybe I’m wrong i don’t know what do you think may Why would the Wolves do that i mean are they in that scenario where they be convinced that they can bring back Reed yeah so you would bring back that that’s where I’m at too with it is you would bring back Nas Reed and I guess you’d start him at the five and just say we’re I guess we’re just not going to play any defense now right it just it’d be Durant Nas Reed and just a lot of Jamie McDaniels covering a lot of ground and asking Anthony Edwards to pull more weight on the perimeter i mean he’s very good already but um I don’t love it for Minnesota but I love it for Phoenix and that’s why I don’t really but again you know I’m listening to the the Low Post earlier this week and he’s like “This is the this is the deal that people in league circles are talking about like executives from other teams to be to and he made that point very clear it’s not necessarily coming from Minnesota but I just I can’t see the Timberwolves being like in in two years we went from a roster with three really good centers to one right after making the Towns trade and and then a potential to go Bear trade that doesn’t make much sense to me yeah I I neither do I i think that just blows up a lot of how they’ve built her identity over the last couple seasons and it’s not like they had an unsuccessful year too they made it to for the silence yeah yeah so you know that’s almost how I’m looking at it in terms of the other suitors i don’t know what their interest in acquiring KD is like if if that’s the rumored deal or if these deals that we’ve discussed here are the basically the structure of what any potential deal could look like with Phoenix it probably isn’t worth it to acquire KD um I think the only team I mean the team with the strongest interest in acquiring him would probably be Miami and so it might just break down the way Miami wants it to is that despite not having the best potential package other teams will just say “Nope too rich for my blood.” And they might just wind up Yeah because the idea right in acquiring Durant is to win a championship and if you’re Minnesota and you can just drop Durant onto your roster that solves a lot of your problems that you had in the Western Conference Finals but obviously that’s not how it works you got to match salary you got to send stuff out you got to get Phoenix to say yes i wonder if there’s a way where you can convince Julius Randall to opt in to $30 million and then use his salary and then have him sign an extension in Phoenix but then you’re that like now Julius Randle holds a lot of cards right like he’s like “Well do I even want to play in Phoenix?” Maybe he is interested in playing in a warm weather city with another allstar and Deon Booker i could see Julius Randle being like “Yeah I’m good with that featured role.” Done yeah I’m good and and they’re going to give me a bunch of money but then if you’re Phoenix you’re like “Well we don’t want to give Julius Randle a bunch of money we’re trying to get out of all the money that we’ve been spending maybe it’s not $55 million maybe okay well we can give Durant or we can give Randall $40 million a year which still sounds like a crazy amount for Julius Randall but it’s still $15 million less than what we’re paying for Kevin Durant.” So I don’t know it It would be very complicated and I don’t and that’s why I say like the Minnesota thing is complicated the Miami Herald did confirm the ESPN report that Miami is interested in landing Kevin Durant um I I think another part about this when we’re talking about is what do the Suns want and and I think what all these ideas have in common good players draft picks and salary cap relief potentially and Brian Winhorse said on ESPN that the Suns are looking to get a compare a comparable package to what they traded for Kevin Durant which I found alarming but then he added I’m not sure they’ll be able to get that and I’m pretty sure they’re not going to be able to get that at this point durant is just older and it’s a different situation so yeah um the Miami offer let’s just get to it we’ve we’ve teased it enough i think it’s Wiggins and Duncan Robinson i think those parts are in there no matter what no matter what other way the shape of this deal takes i think Wiggins and Duncan Robinson have to be in it wiggins plays the same position obstensively as Kevin Durant you just plug him in if you’re Phoenix you’re like “Cool we got a three and D wing we’re happy with that.” And then Duncan Robinson you wave him we talked about this with Keith Smith yesterday you just wave Duncan Robinson and you save just a bunch of money right off the bat you don’t have to stretch you don’t have to wave and stretch him 50% of Duncan Robinson’s contract is non-g guaranteed you just wave them you could wave and stretch the extra $10 million if you wanted i don’t think they would but you would save a bunch of money right away and then you kind of get into this part of all right you want the young players you want the picks how do we get this done and I think then you’re just on this sliding scale of Himez Nicola Yoic Kel Wear throw Pella Larson in there and then Miami could trade up the three first round picks and obviously I think they they would be trying to keep Kelware out of the deal is my feel i think so yeah and uh I don’t know if you could depending on how these other offers are but that would be a last resort and I think would have would require a long meeting in Miami whether or not you included where in that deal that sounds like the basis for it i mean it it sounds like a lot i mean when you put it out there and I and I know that’s you know some of those pieces won’t be some of those players won’t be being moved uh and that would hinge on where’s future i think that’s probably the the the big factor like I think you can feel comfortable from the Heat Front Office perspective that you’ve seen enough of the other players where you can accurately say that while we expect that they’re going to make a leap we wouldn’t be too agrieved to part with them before they’ve made that leap with where I think there’s still enough potential there and he he brings a clear added value he’s a sevenfooter you know and and that’s very rare and not only that but a legit shot blocking presence that can stretch the floor and has shown that ad adaptability and also allows BAM to slide down to his more natural position of power forward so I that’s I think absolutely would prefer wear part so I Yeah I’m sorry like the wear part i put it out there on Twitter and you know I’ve gotten responses about like hey if the Suns can get KL wear they call that into the league office right away all the pieces that I talked about other than some of the draft picks that could potentially get included from San Antonio and Houston but from all the individual pieces and players Yeah you can make an argument that Khal Wear from Minnesota San Antonio Houston New York all of it you can make a a real case that Clawware is the most valuable individual piece that I that we’ve even talked about so far on the show given that he’s so young showed great promise as a rookie the position that he plays and he’s under team control and cheap and is kind of a plug-and-play starter it’s there’s still you know we’ve talked about his defensive deficiencies he needs to get stronger better rebounder all these things but there’s no doubt that his ceiling is really high yeah uh I don’t you could argue that that’s the best individual piece and again if I’m Miami I’m not doing it right so what we know about the Heat is that they did have a conversation with the Suns before the trade deadline and it was very similar to the deal that we were talk well I’m sorry it wasn’t similar to the deal because it included Jimmy Butler so it would have been Jimmy Butler a couple other things and we’re not really sure what those other things were i’m not sure it ever really got to the point i just think that the two sides are so far apart that I don’t know it ever got to the point of like here’s our offer XYZ123 here’s our here’s the stuff we’re offering you because I think those conversations were so far apart from the beginning that it was like Phoenix was asking for everything and Miami was like uh we’re not we’re not giving you everything and unless you were willing to budge we’re not doing it and Phoenix was like we’re not willing to budge and like all right cool talk to you in the summer um but I I think that package is really competitive I think it’s really competitive with some of the other things that we’re talking about here um we got to take a break uh and we’re going to take a look at what he can offer or or not just what he can offer but the cards that Kevin Durant holds in this whole thing he might be able to really swing this thing for Miami if he wants to we’ll talk about every style every home we’ll be right back [Music] so I want to read to you straight from the ESPN report here because I find the language in the report very interesting quote “The Phoenix Suns and Kevin Durant’s business partner Boardroom CEO Rich Kimman have met multiple times over the past week and are sifting through trade scenarios.” Sources told ESPN on Wednesday “The two sides are expected to work together on potential destinations.” Uh end quote he goes on Shams does to report the destinations that we’ve been talking about here um what stands out to you about the way that that’s phrased just the idea of climate and KD working together with the Suns for an office the collaborative effort there i mean we saw what happened with Jimmy Butler locally and how uncolaborative that was and so uh just the fact that this is such a departure from that is really partly what stands out that they’re trying to gauge and and sift through all these multiple offers and try to find the one that’s the best deal I guess for all parties involved um that is the interesting part to me also right it it if this is as collaborative as it sounds where again based on the language here it sounds like Kevin Durant and Rich Kimman his representation here and I’m not sure why we always have to include the fact that he’s the boardroom CEO because nobody knows what boardroom is um but uh the fact it sounds like they’re looking at the trade proposals right that I know that they’re sifting through trade scenarios so is the scenario of is the scenario simply you might get traded to Miami is that just is that the beginning and the end of the scenario or are they looking at what could potentially be leaving those teams because whatever team Kevin Durant joins Kevin Durant’s going to want to compete right so I I think that’s part of the collaborative effort here is that that that trying to strike the balance of I want to play here with these players i don’t want to get them to give up so much that I can’t compete in this new location anymore and all of these things and I think that this is really smart by Phoenix by the way because they have bungled the Bradley Beal thing so badly that I don’t know any that any star play and and frankly the way that they that what Devin Booker has had to deal with in his career in Phoenix is insane i I can’t believe he has not demanded a trade yet but yet but uh I think Phoenix needs to work handinhand with somebody as respected around the league as Kevin Durant is to to try to refurbish their reputation with star players a little bit here and if they’re going to I I think they have to do a little bit of whatever you want KD is what we’ll do here not not to the point of we’re not going to get anything in return like you got to you know strike a decent enough deal but uh there I I think Suns fans might end up being pretty surprised by what they get back has that ever been the case like I’m trying to think has that ever been not just reported publicly like this but I don’t can’t recall any time where a players representative was like “Listen look we’re doing you a solid by having you trade us but at the same time don’t trade us to a team that’s going to get gutted.” So I mean I can’t imagine KD and Kimman telling the Suns for an office I’d love to go to Miami but don’t trade where because I really want to play alongside him and Phoenix going “Okay we get it.” How much of a difference does that ultimately make like it’s great that there’s this collaborative effort here or at least what Shams is reporting but to what extent is that collaboration actually going to be in effect like how Phoenix could ultimately say “Well that’s great that you don’t want that but that’s kind of what we’re hoping for and that’s the the center of what we’re looking to acquire in any kind of trade for you.” So guess what you’re going to a team if you’re Phoenix right you you kind of you’re negotiating with these other teams and you’re kind of also negotiating with Kevin Durant right where if Kevin Durant does say we keep using Khal Wear for instance but like if he’s like “Hey I I really would like to play with KL Wear if you trade me to Miami.” Phoenix then is negotiating with Climman and Durant being like “Hey we really need Kell where we think you could win in Miami anyway without or what right now you’re kind of doing you’re playing all these different kinds of sides here.” Um let’s also remember though they kind of owe Kevin Durant they threw him under the bus before the trade deadline kevin Durant did not like being involved in legitimate trade talks not trade rumors i think we got to we we throw that term rumors around rumors indicates or suggests that they weren’t real these were real trade conversations that were happening and Durant was like “Wait you’re trying you’re thinking about trading me like you don’t just decide to trade me without me demanding a trade that’s not how this works i’m Kevin Durant.” So they kind of owe him a little bit I think in this one too um I get it but but also I mean given the fact that they replaced their coach they replaced the general manager and James Jones etc is it is the stench of that former administration gone or is it still kind of lingering in the room there and that’s kind of why you think it’s so important sounds a lot like Spartan sounds a lot like Spartan i don’t know i just wonder whether or not um they’re even concerned about that like I I I think Phoenix doesn’t really seem like they haven’t historically been a destination place for free agents anyway i’m not sure why it just hasn’t been viewed that way so I don’t know that they’re all that concerned about well we got to fix our reputation around the league because and I can imagine that would be really important to the owner Matt Ishbia like is so in front of camera that it it changed when Ibia got there i’m going to spend all this money i don’t care trade it all go get the star players it he is he is pushing a lot of buttons in that front office right you could you could change out the GM and the head coach and whatever it’s Ishbia has become the face of that franchise right and so I just very strange um it very Jerry Jonesy right and kind of how it feels um here’s the part that I ultimately what this means to me the working together part um Durant is going to have a say and to your point we don’t know how much of a say or but he’s got he’s got a seat at that table he will have a say and if he says that he wants to go to Miami that changes a lot and it really helps Miami because he’s a free agent in 2026 and if he tells X team hey you could trade for me but I’m not going to sign an extension all of a sudden that team does not want to trade as much long-term stuff for Kevin Durant yeah and if Durant just says “I I I would like to.” If says publicly makes it known in league circles however he communicates it and gets it across if he gets it across within league circles I want to be in Miami that could really help the Heat keep Kel Wear multiple picks all that kind of stuff out of a potential package and that’s what I think is really interesting here um and and this is what if I’m a heat fan that’s why I wanted to talk about this language here because we know now that the Suns are working with Kevin Durant on this trade because this was not the case in February when they were shopping Kevin Durant they are now working with him handinand and that means Kevin Durant will have a say and that means Kevin Durant could play the card that really helps Miami or any other team but you know we’re talking about the Heat we we looked at this from Miami’s perspective and the other suitor’s perspective what do you think KD would want in terms of his preferred destination because I think the Spurs might have been like at the top of the list just to play with generational talent and Webyama and etc but with Pop Gone at least his role changing dramatically is that appeal still there and I don’t know that it is um and does he think that I obviously Kevin Durant thinks the world of Kevin Durant and he should but does he think that the Spurs are Kevin Durant away from being out of the playoffs to competing for a championship kevin Durant’s also a realist you know he’s he gets it and and you know maybe trading Kell Johnson and Harrison Barnes and a couple of these young players off the bench doesn’t sound like a lot but that’s two three four players of depth and and we’ve seen in the NBA how important depth is i want to go to this New York situation where he’s like “Hey that maybe if they still had Tibs I think they would have had a better chance at getting Kevin Durant ironically enough because at least that’s some sort of stability you know Tib was there for five years and he made basketball the main thing and if we know anything about Durant basketball is the main thing for him right he just wants to hoop so I I kind of think New York’s out of it i I’ve I don’t really buy the Knicks as a destination frankly i don’t buy Houston i I think they can beat any offer i don’t think they will for Kevin Durant and we just talked about the Minnesota thing i think he would be interested in playing in Minnesota yes with Anthony Edwards but it gets back to the point of wait you’re not trading Goar i just played on a team with no rim protection i’m not doing that again right yeah that’s that’s the way I see it too i think the idea of is is basically it comes down to Minnesota or Miami which is two very very different teams at least geographically and what they might be but I don’t know if that’s as appealing for him or not like I don’t I don’t know what his preference is like he was willing he chose as a free agent to go to Brooklyn and I mean Brooklyn is Brooklyn New York etc i mean that I get that idea but then there’s so much of of unknown when it comes to what matters to him so you get the vibe anytime he has chosen where he wanted to go he’s chosen a sort of upper middle to big market right san Francisco New York and then even when he got traded from Brooklyn it was Phoenix and Miami so these are all bigger markets like he’s never decided to go to a small market like Minneapolis right yeah i wonder if the vibe in Miami is enough um does he like the is the reputation of Miami’s militaristic or intense or whatever approach is it offset enough by the good vibes and the hoopology the idea that we we know hoop here in South Florida i wonder how they would have to sell it to him or he would be You don’t think Durant would like the military part of this i don’t think so the stability yes right but at his at this stage in his career I don’t know that he wanted to necessarily go to what Eglund Air Force Base or anything like that like I don’t think that he want would want that sort of approach to the scene because because you don’t really hear about superstars wanting to do it the team way right superstars are like “Hey I’ve done it this way and I’ve I’m a future I’m a first ballot hall of famer doing it my way i’m not going to do it your way i’m going to do it my way i guess my only push back against that would be I don’t know what how much of a difference there is between the Durant way and the Heat way that guy is militaristic that guy is the guy that stays an hour after practice doing his shooting drills that guy I don’t know if you’ve seen a picture of Kevin Durant i don’t think he’s going to have a problem with the body fat test no uh it Yeah I don’t know that there is much of a difference between the Durant and the Heatwe and so you’re right um no but you No but you great you bring up a great point too like superstars could be a little bit like ah what is it really about the good news is that Bam is there and they’ve have they have a relationship and he could get the real intel from Bam and Bam can tell him like “Dude it is this way.” But also when Jimmy was here they didn’t make him do all that stuff so you know they kind of give you a little bit of leeway here if you’re the right player i don’t know i just You’re right i don’t know um I I I think Udonis Hamlam brought this up on uh ESPN today and and we got to end the show here pretty quickly but uh how you know he he basically made the pitch he brought his championship ring to the NBA today set and he b he made not a direct pitch because he would never get involved in tampering let’s be very clear about this uh but said “If I were Kevin Durant I would look for a very strong voice from a head coach and and a lot of stability and strong voices and strong leadership in the locker room with a championship pedigree.” So probably not talking about the New York Knicks uh yeah yeah uh thanks for making Lock he eat your first listen today for your second listen check out the locked on NBA big board show nba draft expert Rafael Balo reacts to every workout interview and rumor History going repeat it's self the heat going take to long worrying about getting kd miss out on good role players then it's bring the run it back gang
JC we need a PG KD isn’t what we need. I just hope we don’t give up on Niko for him, and give the 2030 frp we need to draft a playmaker this year.!
The Suns don’t owe anything to KD! He is an employee, they paid him the max and he hasn’t won 1 playoff game with them
hope we don't trade for kd
We need KD to play with Ware in Miami! Bam and Ware are the two players you do NOT involve in a Durant trade
Four KD videos in 3 days cause there’s nothing else worth talking abt w this franchise lol
Ant man favorite player is KD. Ant could benefit from that trade. HOF player and a champion can teach Ant.
Trading a talented 7 footer who can shoot, for an aging star that already has two championships and only a year left on his contract. Doesn’t take a meeting, should be an easy no thanks.
Spurs are the betting fav there literally minus Money now Vegas knows something
-160 isnt smoke lol Vegas doesnt make bad bets
We are just delaying the enivtable retool for a 37 year old who btw, ends every season injured or beat in round 1. Great 👍
KD should not break the bank to get plus you have to pay him also. Also how is he worth more now than the trade deadline.
Why move the #2 pick?
Obviously, I don’t know KD personally. But judging by his choices since leaving GS, he seems to care most about playing with whomever he likes, living in a city he would like to live in and basically just wants to hoop and go home and chill.
He's not interested in running the franchise, being the captain of the team, having a lot of star treatment demands, and although he likely wants to win, it doesn't appear it's championship or bust for him.
Because contrary to popular belief and the BS narratives that fans and media have put out there about him, KD is absolutely satisfied that hie's already a 2X champion, and doesn't need to prove he can win without Steph/GS.
He knows they recruited him to their team because they ABSOLUTELY NEEDED him to win more championships at that time and he delivered
Why would Kevin Durant choose the heat. There’s no real logical way. His best bet is to choose a Spurs or the Rockets. They have a great roster that he can actually benefit from Miami doesn’t plain and simple in Miami. Doesn’t have anyone to offer to entice to get Kevin Durant.
i wouldnt be surprised if the wolves got kd if we tried to get randle
if im the heat i would keep the 20th pick(hopefully clayton jr) in a very deep draft…at all cost….they can get 2 future firsts & even 2 future seconds & a pick swap as well…not pick 20…its too deep of a draft..p.s. bam, herro, ware & davion is untouchable unless its for giannis or edwards
Everyone can pay enough for KD
The question is who wants to overpay and that’s why Phx is waiting.
