the Celtics were relying too much on old guys who showed you all postseason they were not able to be good in consecutive games unless they had multiple days off and that’s Horford and that’s Drew Holiday now would I blow it up no do I recognize the Celtics financial realities are such that they are going to have to make some significant changes yes here are the changes I would make if I were Boston you let Horford walk and you trade Drew Holiday and you keep together Tatum Brown White and you hope that Chris Staps next year is healthy at next year’s trade deadline because Chris Staps is an expiring contract i would look and see does it make sense to offload him or to keep him if we think he’s going to walk in the offseason either way be depending on is Tatum going to be back for this playoff run but the next time Tatum’s healthy I would definitively want Tatum Brown and Derek White together

The simple truth about the Celtics is that they are 3-point chuckers and applied the same metrics as the Rockets when Harden was on the roster
It works until it doesn't and then it looks like a very ugly brand of basketball
The Celtics need to change the way they play. Go back to driving to the basket and stop relying on the 3-point shot
The only issue is that Derrick White is a little undersized and will be 33 in 2027 when they’re all healthy again. Not super old at all but I’d expect decline for sure.
