did you know the washington wizards are cursed and no i’m not talking about the draft lottery this stat may be the craziest thing i’ve ever heard and it proves the wizards franchise is cursed so as most nba fans know the wizards haven’t had much success in the last 45 years since the 1979 1980 season they’ve racked up the most losses in the nba with 2,159 they’ve only won five playoff series in that span and haven’t even touched the conference finals but here’s the wild part none of that is the curse because in each of the last eight nba seasons a former wizard has been on the roster of the team that won the nba finals in 2024 christophs porzingis in 2023 acp thomas bryant ish smith and jeff green 2022 otto porter gary peyton jr and chris giaza and i could go on dwight howard mcgee jared dudley markeff morris all key parts of the 2020 lakers championship roster former wizards have won 19 championship rings in the last eight seasons so what does that mean for this current nba finals the underdog pacers have former wizard thomas bryant on their roster while the thunder they don’t have any former wizards on their roster so will the curse continue or will okc finally break it i’m derek and i know both go subscribe and you do
