so could the Phoenix Suns be trading away Kevin Durant to the San Antonio Spurs this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a tweet on X from NBA Central which says Kevin Durant reportedly prefers a trade to San Antonio pero hoops now this news has been talked about for the last couple days now like Bill Simmons for example came out and said that he believes that a trade between Phoenix and San Antonio has already actually happened and been agreed upon but both teams are waiting to announce that so that’s a possibility although it’s probably unlikely that’s going to happen especially in today’s day and age it’s really hard to keep stuff like that internal but could a Kevin Durant trade happen this off season to the San Antonio Spurs yes it absolutely could and especially now uh with Giannis likely staying put in Milwaukee all signs point towards Kevin Durant being like kind of the next biggest fish available on the trade market this off season uh San Antonio wants to add another star player uh to surround De’arren Fox and Victor Winyama with and I think Kevin Durant’s actually the perfect superstar to go there san Antonio is a good organization a bit of a smaller markets over Kevin Durant at this point of his NBA career this could be a cool landing spot for him especially to him going to a team that has some good young players uh WBY of course is the future of basketball in my opinion especially defensively speaking i think Kevin Durant kind of uh you know makes a good big three here uh with uh you know um Victor Wanyama De’aran Fox and of course Kevin Durant now what exactly would a Kevin Durant trade uh look like well the second overall draft pick could very well be heading back Phoenix’s way now if that doesn’t happen Phoenix can get back potentially some future draft capital the Spurs have a lot of that so maybe it could be a package of players like Devin Vel uh Jeremy Sohan maybe someone like Stefan Castle maybe he comes back to Phoenix so whatever the case may be the Spurs have a ton of options in my opinion as I mentioned before if you’re Kevin Durant I think him going to the Spurs is a pretty cool landing spot for him and he’s closer to a championship in San Antonio than when he is compared to uh if he were to stay in Phoenix so in my personal opinion this could very well happen in the immediate future uh what do you guys think a San Antonio Spurs Kevin Durant trade actually looks like leave your thoughts thanks again for watching and I’ll see you in the next one

Spurs won't trade the #2 pick or Castle. Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson would make the money work. So, possibly the 2025 #14 pick, Vassell and Johnson + a couple of future 2nd round picks. Anything else is overpaying for the aging Durant.
