Dylan Harper Blockbuster Trade to Philadelphia 76ers For Jared McCain?! 2025 NBA Offseason
the Philadelphia 76ers are going to attempt to trade for the number two overall pick and this could create so many fascinating possibilities now I’m going to start off with the 76ers side obviously in this year’s draft Cooper Flag is number one for a reason but Dylan Harper is the likely number two overall pick but in a lot of the years Dylan Harper could be graded out and scouted as a number one overall pick talent but the thing is the team that holds the number two overall pick San Antonio might not be 100% sold on drafting Dylan Harper when you’re talking about the Spurs they want to build the perfect team around Victor Webmanyama and a lot of that can include getting elite shooting around him and while they traded for De’arren Fox he’s kind of similar to what Dylan Harper showed to be at Ruters and then Stfane Castle he was great he won rookie of the year but Castle Fox and Harper aren’t exactly sharpshooters from three-point range so if you’re thinking of building the perfect team around Victor Wmanyama then you could explore different options but also you want to cash in because Dylan Harper whether it’s a trade or the Spurs sticking and picking should be picked at number two overall because he will be the best player available after Cooper Flag goes number one overall but then the next question is how do the 76ers plan on getting that number two overall pick they sit at number three so they could trade up one spot if they want to get Dylan Harper even though the asking price can be rich because of what teams think of Harper or they could look to stay at number three and use a player such as a Jiren McCain and maybe try to package some picks down the road to get this number two overall pick now last year the San Antonio Spurs traded the number eight overall pick to the Timbers which ended up being Rob Dillingham the Timberls didn’t trade up they just use future assets to get that pick so maybe the Spurs could look at a guy on the Sixers roster like a Jared McCain what this could do is you could have the 76ers sending Jared McCain who they clearly hit on last year despite that knee injury but then for the Spurs he could be a knockdown shooter and for the 76ers you can get a guy in Dylan Harper who can be an overall star in this year’s draft so those are just some interesting possibilities but at the center of it all Dylan Harper is likely to be picked at number two
