Philadelphia 76ers Trading For The Second Overall Pick??
yo what’s going on guys this Houston Sports Talk back another video today and today we’re going to be talking about the Philadelphia 76ers trading up to draft Dylan Harper that would be the assumption here it was a report by NBA Central that they’re the sorry the San Antonio or sorry the Philadelphia 76ers have engaged the San Antonio Spurs about potentially trading up for the number two overall pick philly is at number three so basically all they would be doing here is just stopping San Antonio for drafting Dylan Harper there there is I am 100% sure that if they want to trade up to number two it’s because they want to trade for Dylan Harper because if there there’s nobody that you need to trade up for besides Dylan Harper um because I think everybody knows if Dallas keeps their pick which it seems like it’s already been confirmed they’re going to keep their pick and most likely draft Cooper Flag cooper Flax going number one and it seems like the Spurs don’t if the Spurs don’t trade their pick they’re drafting Gillan Harper so if Philly wants someone outside of Dylan Harper there is no need of trading up for that pick because you know if you want if you want VJ Edgecom or you want or or you want Ace Bailey or someone else I don’t know at number three there is no need of trading up but it tells me that they want Dylan Harper um and that is why there are these reports about them potentially talking about doing a deal here’s the thing though it’s going to cost a lot i know you’re only trading up one spot but you’re you’re what if you’re San Antonio this is what this is what you’re letting i know you’re still getting a solid pair of Edgecom or Bailey if you if you settle at number three if you’re San Antonio you pair a guy like Edgecom or or Bailey next to you know Winyama that would be great but you’re also missing the opportunity on Dylan Harper you know going to San Antonio that would be great for them so I think if you if you are just I think if you are the if you are the sorry if you are the San Antonio Spurs you ask for a good package back in of draft picks and so I know you’re only moving down one spot but I think you’d have be number obviously Philly would get number two i think San Antonio would get number three back that belongs to Philly i think you’ve probably got to give up you know at least two or three draft picks i think it’d be pick 35 uh in this year’s draft would go to San Antonio i think most likely San Antonio would probably ask for the 2028 first round pick that Philly has that belongs to the Los Angeles Clippers that could be a very valuable pick um I know 2028 you know three years the Clippers could still be a playoff team but neither James Harden or Kawhi Leonard will be under contract by then kawawaii sorry james James will be 38 and then Kawhai will be 36 or it might be the other way around i know one’s 36 and one’s 38 in 2028 it might be James being I I think I I might I might have got it mixed up kawawaii I think it’s Kawawaii will be 38 and James will be 36 I believe i know i know it’s 30 and 36 but I I I kind of mixed it up there um but I I believe it is I believe is Kawhi will be 38 in 2028 and then Harden will be uh Harden will be 36 in 2028 but um so that could be a very valuable draft pick and I think you ask for an additional second round pick a future second round pick as well so two sec I think you’re even though you’re trading down one spot I if you’re if I’m San Antonio I’m asking for two seconds and that Los Angeles Clippers first round pick in 2028 to move down from two to three because apparently I mean we know that this first team really likes Dylan Harper that’s their guy uh so you know but I I think it’d be great to pair Dylan Harper with with Tyrese Maxi um you know Harper averaged 20 points per game at Ruters this year he’s a great facilitator he’s a great defensive player um I think he’d be a great addition for Philadelphia but it’s going to cost you I think a lot of additional draft picks outside of pick three only to trade up one spot um and you’ve got other great prospects like Edgecom and and you know you know and you know Ace Bailey that you could pick at number three is it really worth it to trade up you know you know cuz you’re going to have to give up you know multiple seconds and probably that 2028 firstrounder that belongs to the Clippers to move up let me know your thoughts on the Let me know your thoughts on the potential trade up for the 76ers in the comment section and peace out
