everything is on the table for the right player and according to the latest reports Carl Anthony Towns is the main player that’s likely to be traded this off season and the main reason for that is his contract shout out to Sports Illustrated and The Athletic for giving us this following information here according to them the New York Knicks enjoyed their best season in the last 25 years after acquiring Carl Anthony Towns in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves however there is a chance that he may be a oneandone in the Big Apple the Athletic explains why Towns could be traded this off season carl Anthony Towns based off of his contract alone could be a casualty if the Knicks decide to go big game hunting so moneywise we understand primarily why Carl Anthony Towns is likely going to be traded this off season but is there another reason he could be traded well shout out to James L edwards of The Athletic for providing this information for us as well too according to him a year into the deal both teams are finished in the same spot he’s speaking about the Minnesota Timberwolves and the New York Knicks however this war is far from over with both teams losing in their respective conference finals they will use these players Carl Anthony Towns and Julius Randall to try and advance further in the playoffs next season either as trade chips or as pieces to their puzzle here’s the exact quote from The Athletic zooming out both teams came out winners in the trade a rarity for a deal of this magnitude they were two of the NBA’s final four thrilling their fan bases with exhilarating rides to the conference finals and yet they both feel like unfinished products still searching for the final pieces to move them from contenders to champions i want to mention that again because that’s very important the Knicks right now are still searching for the final pieces to move them from contenders to legit champions that’s the main reason they could be looking to move Carl Anthony Towns because they’re looking to make championship level moves sports Illustrated continues here by stating the Knicks need to capitalize off of this deal either flipping towns for a better value or placing players around him that will help improve the team the Athletic continues by stating “However with the franchise’s determination to bring a championship back to the Mecca for the first time in over 50 years anything could be on the table this summer not only is Towns the most likely to be traded because of his contract but it’s also most likely because the Knicks want to make a gamechanging trade this off season and if everything is on the table that means Towns is as well too but the only player worth coming to this table that has Carl Anthony Towns at it is only one player it’s one Giannis attent that is the only player right now that the Knicks should trade Carl Anthony Towns for if it’s not Giannis then it’s no one there is no reason to blow up this team unless you’re getting Giannis run this team back next year under a new head coach if you can trade for Giannis you don’t have to gut this team and essentially you can have it be a swap giannis for cat you do that trade each and every day because that trade is a championship level move and that trade gets the Knicks one step closer to the NBA Finals and an NBA title exactly where they want to be and let’s go back to some key points mentioned by The Athletic the Knicks according to The Athletic are still searching for the final pieces to move them from contenders to championships now I wonder what move could they make to turn them from contenders to champions let’s see i know it’s trading for the Greek freak it’s trading for Giannis and if Leon Rose can somehow someway manage to get a deal done for New York to land Giannis I’ll start building the statue for Leon myself right outside of MSG because a move like that a move that monumental deserves a statue and let’s not take anything away from Leon Rose i say it time and time again because I feel like I need to because so many people keep saying the Knicks don’t have a shot the Knicks can’t do this the Knicks can’t pull this off they said the same thing about OG Anobi the Knicks did it said the same thing about Mikuel Bridges the Knicks did it said we couldn’t upgrade the roster even further from there we traded for Carl Anthony Towns now they’re saying we can’t get Giannis keep saying that Leon Rose will prove everyone wrong this off season when he makes that blockbuster gamechanging trade for Giannis and unfortunately for some Nick fans especially the Knick fans who love Carl Anthony Towns if the Knicks want Giannis they’re going to have to trade Carl Anthony Towns there’s just too many reasons why that trade makes sense but the number one reason it makes sense is the money the contract the dollars giannis and Cat almost make the exact same money all the Knicks have to do really is add a couple of bench players to that deal in order for it to make sense and work and if Giannis forces his way to New York by saying to Milwaukee I only want to play for the Knicks then maybe the Bucks feel pressured they think this is the only offer for them on the table and then they fold and they accept that offer again a lot of things have to go right in order for New York to trade for Giannis but the number one thing on the list in order for the Knicks to trade for Giannis is for New York trading Carl Anthony Towns and clearly according to multiple NBA insiders not only do the Knicks know that they are clearly looking to make a blockbuster trade this off season a trade that turns them from contenders to champions and there are not that many trades out there that can do that for the Knicks but there is one player that if the Knicks land him can absolutely do that for this franchise and that is Giannis Attento and Carl Anthony Towns might be the casualty that lands the Knicks Giannis and if that’s what it takes to get him I might be on board with this trade because right now like Leon Rose like this Knicks front office I want New York to maximize their championship window and the way to do that is to add the
