so could the Atlanta Hawks be trading away Trey Young to the Sacramento Kings this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadewayorld.net The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself This trade would see the Sacramento Kings receiving Trey Young and the Atlanta Hawks receiving Tamar De Rozan Malik Monk a second round draft pick this year a second round draft pick in 2026 2027 and a 2029 first round draft pick So in my personal opinion I could actually see the Kings being a very viable landing spot for Trey Young if he were to be tangled out there on the trade market this off season I’ve seen some mixed opinions about Trey Young’s future in Atlanta Could this be time for the Hawks to kind of cut bait build around Reese Daniels etc and maybe get what they can for Trey Young while his value is still pretty high can Trey Young you know carry this team to the playoffs and go on a bit of a run lots of questions being asked regarding Trey Young’s future in Atlanta Now if he were dangled in the trade market the Hawks could be interested The Kings would definitely be interested in his services The Kings are looking to sort of capitalize on them having sort of a big three right now Uh with you know any of those players I would say being available for an upgrade for a younger more talented player which in this case Trey Young he kind of checks that box like Trey Young is a very electric player He can get uh you know he can score the ball out well He can shoot for you know the lights out of a building He can get double doubles on a daily basis with his pick and roll game as well as his playmaking mentality So I think Trey Young going to Sacramento and playing alongside Zack Lavine and Damontes Sabonis Like having a good pick and roll threat with Damontes it sounds pretty awesome to me Then having Zack Lavine as more of a third option sounds pretty perfect So I think this could actually be a really cool and a really good fit basketball-wise for Trey Young going to the Kings Now if for the Atlanta Hawks as I mentioned before if you want to kind of give the keys to some other players on this team Demar Rosen’s a tremendous player to bring in not only for the locker room but also in the right spot too offensively speaking as more of a number two or a number three option offensively Like he’s a good player uh from the mid-range He’s a good veteran player Uh he can put up 20 plus points next year and still be a good compliment to these players like Reese Daniels uh Johnson etc Things could be looking up in Atlanta So this could actually be a good trade that benefits both teams in my opinion Uh plus you’re getting back a couple you know three second round draft picks in a first So that’s not bad there for a team in Atlanta that doesn’t have their draft picks because of that DeJonte Murray trade So if I had to pick a winner for this deal I’m going to go with the Kings by a tiny little bit But as always leave your thoughts
