Hakeem & the Rockets caught Shaq slippin in the β€˜95 NBA Finals πŸ‘€

that was my fault we lost why you say that cuz as a leader I didn’t lead after we beat the Bulls I let up took your foot off you beat Mike we straight we done played Houston before i think it was one and one or you know even series the King going to get 30 i’m going to get 27 right and off the record we had 8 days off me and D scott was doing stuff we weren’t supposed to be doing and they had they had like a little parade and all that we was just celebrating right so it taught me never celebrate too early and then when we get in the game we hanging with him and then it just you know Nick’s you know can’t blame it on Nick my fault cuz I didn’t get the guys ready but Nick misses the free throws mhm we go down 01 second game we go down 02 we go to Houston we know we don’t have a shot so we get swept but it just taught me never to celebrate too early and it also put that hunger in me and I said “Okay if I ever get back to the finals ever again I got to dominate 40s forget that 2810 i be talking about I got to be in the 40s that’s why when we made it to the finals I was trying to put up big numbers cuz if we don’t win it’s going to be my fault and as a leader I accept that i want that and once you say Shaq ain’t that’s why they lost it’s his fault i accept all those challenges because that’s how it was for me as a youngster growing up with a drill sergeant

  1. Naw Shaq! Hakeem gave you Da Bizness! I saw πŸ‘€ it. Olajuwon's 🦢🏿 work was impeccable. You couldn't deal with Hakeem "Lateral movement!" In Kevin Garnett voice. 🧐

  2. I mean, if stars today were like Shaq that would be better… he owned it was his fault, when he played well. Some guys today get their average, get swept, and scream that need more help. Accountability matters.

  3. Seen that magic vs bulls game that shit hurt as a kid thinking your city is going to win another one… Mike had that look when shaq hugged him never again this going to happen

  4. 1995 Finals Rockets vs Magic 4-0
    Hakeem Olajuwon:
    32.8ppg 11.5reb 5.5ast 2.0stl 2.0blk

    Shaquille O’Neal:
    28ppg 12.5reb 6.3ast 2.5blk

The individual matchup was a lot closer then the media and fans like to make it seem. So to say the magic got swept because Hakeem was fuckin Shaq up is just wrong. The rockets just dominated as a team, they shot better from the 2 and from 3, had 2x the steals, and half the turnovers the magic had, not to mention they shot almost 3x the amount of free throws than the magic. Rockets also got a lot more production from the β€œothers” whereas penny and Shaq were really the only ones to show up statistically during those finals.

  5. To be honest….back then detroit, boston, and lakers were loaded….one thing for sure..if Hakeem would had had jordan even from rookies in the same team…all those dynasties wouldn't had happened…..Jordan and Hakeem the best ever to suit up…

  6. That year Hakeem Olajuwon..best defensive player, mvp and finals mvp…to this day the only player to only done that feat…..

  7. Shaq wanted to be a big party Animal. He should of won more Championships! He should of went down in history as the Greatest center of all time.

  8. Hakeem did not guard Shaq at all. I felt it was cheating cuz i was just a lil kid at the time. They talked nonstop about Dream vs Shaq finals then it was Kevin Willis the whole damn time πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  9. I am getting so old. I was a sophomore in high school when Shaq came into the league and Dream was like Shaq and I mean yea he was dominant but not on the scale that Shaq was dominating and I said then he was the best and always will be

  10. People forget Orlando was favorite. That’s why I hate this revisionist history of people saying hakeem beat Baby Shaq when people in 1995 were trying to say Shaq was already better which is nonsense.

  11. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE HEART OF A CHAMPION. THE ROCKETS ONLY TEAM TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP WHILE ON THE ROAD THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRETY OF THE PLAYOFFS 47-35 reg season & 15-7 as a #6 seed

  12. He’s definitely a real one, instead of blaming the refs or his teammates he put that on him. Mad respect for the big guy

  13. you guys are missing the point Shaq saying they didn’t prep right and deserved to get smoked he’s not hating on Hakeem

  14. πŸ‚ πŸ’©.
If any of us say or said Shaq ain’t πŸ’©, he give us the Chuck treatment.
And he failed to put in the work yet again later in his career.
