so could the Phoenix Suns be trading away Kevin Durant to the Minnesota Timberwolves this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayworld.net The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Phoenix Suns receiving Nas Reed Dante D Venenzo Rob Dillingham a 2026 second and a 2029 second and the Minnesota Timberwolves receiving Kevin Durant So there actually has been some speculation the last couple days uh regarding Kevin Durant first of all getting traded relatively soon as well as the Timberwolves being one of five reported teams to be interested in making a Kevin Durant trade Now the package that I’ve seen personally uh would be Rudy Gobear Dante D Venenzo and Rob Dillingham So the second round draft picks are not involved nor is Nas Reed So uh there’s definitely a good possibility that uh this Timberwolves roster could look pretty different next year with Nas Reed becoming a free agent Uh with someone like Julius Randall possibly opting out as well and some other players on this roster with some uncertainty the Timberwolves kind of want to keep this this group together like they had a tremendous season last year Uh they were you know they fell short of course for the NBA finals once again but if they’re able to sort of add that one last piece in this case that would be Kevin Durant This could possibly be the difference maker for them and winning a championship So I know in a perfect world you want to keep Nas Reed Dante Danchenzo and Rob Dillingham in the fold here But Kevin Durant’s a player that for the short term that kind of fits the uh the bill for this team I think adding Kevin Durant to a team uh with uh Julius Randall uh with Rudy Gobear and then with Anthony Edwards of course they could easily win a championship next year So I wouldn’t be surprised if someone like Rudy Gobear maybe replace Nas Reed in this deal and then maybe that kind of works for the uh for both teams I think if you’re the Phoenix Suns you like this package though You’re getting back kind of players that kind of check all the boxes The only thing you’re not getting back in this scenario would be future first round draft picks That kind of hurts there But without a doubting the winner of this deal would be the Minnesota Timberwolves But uh those are just my thoughts As always leave yours down below
