FULL ESPN breaks down Thunder vs Pacers Game 2 NBA Finals: SGA is BACK, OKC takes revenge at home

clinging to a lead here in game one of the finals the knicks cleveland milwaukee are all telling the okc fans “we told you so this team is relentless doesn’t matter what the lead or the score is.” alexander spins pulls up jumper off the mark won’t go rebound nmith the pacers with a chance to win it hallebertton driving pulls up jump shot it’s good it’s good with three ten of a second remaining tyrese hallebertton does it again indiana takes game one but whether it’s hans or hal solo never tell them the odds because when it comes to saving the day odds don’t matter to heroes but for us mortals they definitely add to the unbelievability of the pacers playoff run so far let’s go back to the first round game five against the bucks pacers had a 0.5% chance to win when they trailed by 7 with 40 seconds to go in before closing out the game and the series next round game two against the cavs pacers with a 1.1% chance to win when they went down by 17 just before the end of the third they were also down seven in the final minutes and then to open the eastern conference finals indiana had a 0.2% chance to win when the knicks went up 14 with less than four minutes to go pacers won in ot after hallebertton’s bounce of a lifetime and how about game one in the finals on thursday pacers with a 1.4% chance to win with just under nine minutes remaining down 14 but once again the numbers reflect what your eyes have seen maybe the most clutch playoff run of all time now the odds of indiana winning all four of those games one in 650 million go play the power ball with that might explain why even with a 10-0 lead the pacers are still hefty underdogs to win game two and the series thunder favored by 10 and a half and they led by double digits for just 20 minutes of game one all for a little more insight into this pacers run we bring in nba champion kendrick perkins and perk let me ask you this how would you describe what it does to a team’s psyche when they know good and well that the pacers have an opportunity to run them down regardless of time and score well first of all hey big bro excuse the background okay i’m in okc i’m in okc i’m in my hotel room everybody understands okay i’m just letting you know but like they said my church come as you are okay so i’m here but look now but let me but let me say this to you it does a lot for your psyche if you’re a team that that lacks confidence right but this okc team they don’t lack that and i know that they’re young but they have old souls i got to give a lot of credit to the pacers right they fought to the end that’s who they are that’s their identity they play for the full 48 minutes the thunder knows that now the best thing that happened for the oklahoma city thunder was the semifinals against the denver nuggets because they got tested in every way i believe that they will respond in game two but sga knows he has to be a better defender they they picked on him a little bit in that fourth quarter chad homegr he know he has to actually show up to the nba finals he gave them absolutely nothing on the defensive side of things they attacked him downhill no run pro run protection be second in the postseason and block shots so they’re going to do their job this other team will be better they know that they have a fight on their hands despite them being the favorites they got to come out here and compete at a high level and do it for 48 minutes and they know that yeah cuz i mean that was a gut punch what happened to him game one at home so there has to be some type of emotional response from them in game two but you kind of touched on it but what are the real adjustments from an x’s and o’s perspective that okc needs to make for them not to fall down 02 in this series well one don’t go with that damn extra small lineup where they don’t have one big man on the floor all right i bet you they won’t do that again you cannot go with five smalls otherwise we will see what we saw pascal and ob to having a field day secondly the sga he did his part he got to be a little bit more efficient offensively but jay dub has to show up to the nba finals he has solidified himself as a bonafide number two option right and i get it you’re going to have bad games is how you respond he talked about the pressure today in his uh interviews today at practice he said he basically he love pressure that means it comes with responsibility i expect him to have a big night and be that robin that 1b that we’ve been seeing him be to sga throughout the course of these po uh postseason yeah cuz game two is crucial here for the thunder uh teams that go up 20 in the finals have a record of 32 and5 in game two sunday 8 eastern 5 pacific on abc kendrick perkin and his mirrors join us here on sports center appreciate you so reflective okc needs to bounce back now with the pacers up one- nothing look game one sga had 38 points to lead all scorers but chad homegrren and jdub jaylen williams like perk said not so great they only had 23 points combined okc specializes in bouncing back after losses but as tim mcmahon tells it to get the dub in game two the thunder need more from their other two as mark dagenalt said usually delivering in the finals is not on the curriculum for third-year players it’s a credit to jaylen williams and chad holgren that they have thrust themselves into that situation they were major factors in the thunder’s run to get here but their finals debuts were disappointing okc’s young stars embraced the burden of needing to be better in game two just try and think of myself as somebody that’s very uncommon i don’t ever think that i’m in my third year cuz then that allows me to make excuses so i usually just go out there and play pressure is a privilege so i enjoy being counted on and doing that i just think i’ve been counted on since feel like last year to be totally honest just in regards to like being there for two and the rest of the guys and now we’re here in the finals so i don’t really see it that much different you know i feel like i could have slowed down um and you know kind of finish some of those plays at the rim you know obviously it hurts a one-point loss uh you know one single difference on one single play uh could have decided the game throughout the whole game williams and homegrren don’t need to look too far for proof that a third-year player can play a starring role in the finals the pacers pascal seakkum is a prime example he was in his third nba season when he had 26 points and 10 rebounds in the raptors championship clinching win in oklahoma city tim mcmahon espn of course okc would like to lead the series but the thunder might have the pacers right where they want them i mentioned how good they are after a loss 17-2 this season coming off a loss including the playoffs in the nba cup the best since 1986 1987 lakers who ended up winning the title hallebertton has gone 12 for4 on go ahead or game time shots in the last two minutes of games this season with four of them coming in the playoffs and let’s relive all four of them first round eastern conference playoffs bucks pacers game five less than 10 to go in ot hallebertton drives past giannis and lays it off the glass they win it 119 118 and they end that series in five games how about eastern conference semiis pacers cavs game two 12.1 seconds left in regulation down two howie misses the free throw gets the board resets step back three come on watch this ty jerome can’t handle it step back three win 11 points in the fourth quarter pacers win game two and he had a message for those players who voted him most overrated uh yeah i mean overrate that that’s all you need to say pacers win a series in five eastern conference finals game one 5 seconds to go in the fourth they’re down two hi thought it was a three to win it but instead his foot was on the line they go to ot they end up winning it anyway yes reggie miller did that against the knicks in the garden it was warranted i understand history and then nba finals pacers thunder game one take a listen to how the finish sounded on our very own broadcast driving pulse off jump shot it’s good it’s good with 3/10 of a second remaining he’s not afraid of the moment he is the moment mr big shot tyrese pacers win it with.3 seconds left here’s jamal collier with more the indiana pacers have not been satisfied in stealing only one game on the road throughout this postseason indiana is 7-0 in games one and two during the playoffs and they’ve started each of their last two series with back-to-back road wins the key to that is staying present in the moment tyrese hallebertton said which is a lesson the pacers have picked up from their coach i think that’s just the way we are approaching it um because if we try to look too far in advance i think that that’s where you know you have moments in today or or yesterday that don’t go the way that they should so you’re just trying to take it a day at a time and that’s the biggest thing that coaches preach to us and we preach to each other as a group is how can we just have a good day today to prepare us um you know for tomorrow everybody’s pattern after a loss is to come more aggressively so you know he’s going to be more aggressive williams going to be more aggressive chad’s going to be more aggressive the whole team’s going to even be even more aggressive defensively and you know the the challenge for us is to be able to match that carlile refers to a playoff series as a series of seven chapters where each game takes on a different personality indiana was happy to strike first but they know not to get ahead of themselves because game two story still hasn’t been written in oklahoma city jamal collier espn all right jamal thanks a lot yeah so hallebertton getting it done in four games in this playoff with shots to either tie or take the lead in the last two seconds of the fourth quarter or overtime twice as many as any other player has had in a single postseason since 1997 it’s gone with 3/10 of a second remaining tyrese hallebertton does it again indiana takes game one screw meza here with nba veteran quinton richardson there and david dennis jr our nba analyst here now q i’m going to start with you because not a lot of people saw the patriers winning game one especially with how the first half started turning the ball over left and right and then in the second half flipped the script and we saw that jumper that tyrese hallebertton hit for 3/10en of a second so what are you going to be looking for with the pacers in game two i’m going to be looking for them to not turn the ball over 20 times in the first half they can there’s no way you can expect to win games when you’re return when you’re turning the ball over in a way that you haven’t done the whole season long and so for me they have to do a better job of taking care of the ball which they did in the second half but they were lucky i feel like they they reap the benefits of of okc not turning around and taking those turnovers and scoring on them so for me they’re really going to have to take care of the ball and do do a overall effort have a better overall effort of taking care of that ball because the next time okc i think they will score off those turnovers yeah i’m going to take it on the on the flip side here and talk about okc and the fact they did not convert over on those turnovers i can’t think of a time where i’ve seen a team have 19 turnovers in that first half on the road the most we’ve seen in a half in the finals in decade and not be down 20 25 points a lot of credit goes to the indiana pacers and their transition defense but okc has got to be better at converting those turnovers into points cuz what we saw in the second half was a pacers team that was ready and better equipped for that defense they only had six turnovers and the thunder only scored twice uh two points on those turnovers they’ve got to figure out if you’re the thunder how to score and put that pressure on the pacers whenever they turn the ball over yeah and to your point okc becomes the first team to force 25 turnovers in a game one in the nba finals and still lose the game so we’ll see if they can make an adjustment there because in game two we know both teams will be making adjustments so q what are you looking for specifically for in that okc side i’m looking for them to get chad hungren going early man chad was only two for nine in that game he didn’t have a great game he didn’t have great impact on the game i felt like that he would play better i feel like he needs to play better for them to have a better chance to go ahead and handle their business but for him he was he was mia for me i was looking for him to come out and have a big impact on the game and going two for nine only getting six rebounds he missed a lot of stuff like he was missing some of those shots in those turn off of those turnovers they had in the first half which allowed them to stick around so i feel like they need to figure out a way to get him off early so they have a better chance tonight tomorrow night yeah one of the ways to get uh homegrren off early in those in in the start there is you start that lineup again you go back to that hardenstein and homegrren lineup i was surprised that was one of the more surprising developments that they did not have that lineup to start the game and they never went to it that lineup got you to the finals and what you’ll see what what you’re seeing there is you’ll see that lob action between the two that twoman game that’ll help homer get the offense going but also they’re going to get on those boards they were outrebounded by uh by 17 rebounds in that game and there was a crucial rebound late that they missed uh that seakum had on the putback get those two guys back in the game i think they overthought a little bit by not having them in the game in game one they should be able to be do you want to hop in on this i i i agree with i agree with you 100% right there double d i felt like there was no need that was their starting lineup the whole season i felt like they flinched first by just starting off the series by doing that without being forced to or anything they just gave them that i feel like they definitely should have stuck to their guns and had their starting lineup out there yeah we’ll definitely keep our eye on that and as we’re here in connecticut i know q is going to be enjoying himself at his pool uh going to go out there have a barbecue i know he out there having a good old time grilling and everything i ain’t seen the sun in bristol in like three weekends since i’ve been here what’s going on man well we know we’re all going to watch the game sunday on abc regardless now despite the loss the thunder still double digit favorites in game two so remember tomorrow 8 eastern on abc thanks guys richardson david dennis jr back with us here on sports center david we have no shortage of highlights to choose from this guy four-time scoring champ and hell we forget he might have been as good of a quarterback had had he decided to go the football route what’s your favorite memory of ai well despite the fact that i had the cornrows too uh when i was watching him i know you i’m sure you probably had you rocking the cornrows too for me it was round two 2001 vince ai this was like as a kid this was goku vers vegeta this is the rocking stone cold this is two powerhouse the most popular guys in the league trading 50point games up till game seven coming down to the last shot i mean this was box office marquee captured my imagination as a basketball fan i talked about this for the entire two weeks that season that series was going on unforgettable matchup ai vince carter hey i gotta go i gotta go back to a moment that none of y’all would know about this is all the way back to 2000 literally right after i got drafted before i ever played a game in the nba i went to alonzo morning zo summer groove in miami larry hughes has the same agent as me obviously they were teammates larry said “come on we gonna go out you come out with me and ai we go out i’m a young kid i ain’t got no jewelry i ain’t did nothing yet.” double d i ain’t got no two chains or nothing i had like some weed stuff on hit in the limo with ai ai looking at me like he he don’t even know me he just meet me and he looking at me and i had like a whack three chain on cuz i was number three in college too so he like nah you can’t wear that he had the big big boy chunky ice age stupid crazy iced out three he took that off and took my chain off and put that on me i was the man the rest of the night though nobody could tell me nothing i thought i was just floating around the whole club this my first time ever being out with these guys i’m with the nba guys and ai told me to put the chain on that was it i mean that just talks that just goes to show you he was the he was the cultural icon then and for him to embrace me like that without me even knowing him that just tell you what type of guy he is so super salute to ai man happy birthday you’re a cultural icon you already know what you a hood hero he wins q wins so summer group 2000 game set match uh we got game two of an actual competition nba finals tomorrow thunder 10 and a half point favorites q what is the qr code by which okc must live to make this series even before they head back to naptown i think they do the same thing man they got to keep the feisty defense on on holly on hallebertton keep keep switching those guys out keep keeping his game suppressed because even though he hit that game winner he did not have the type of tyresese hallebertton type of game that they want him to have if they could keep him uncomfortable keep him turning the ball over something that he doesn’t do all the time like that that’s the key for them because he’s the engine for this team although he he he keeps them going the pace up he gets them in transition he gets guys the ball he’s the engine that makes them go if they can continue to make things difficult for him and keep them slowed down that’s the qr code all right so david he wants feisty perimeter defense something maybe menacing plenty of candidates for you to choose who’s who’s your dennis the menace you’re eyeing for game two so they need some of that defense on nimhart as well i want to talk about a play at the end of game one that i cannot stop thinking about is nimh hart on a switch getting sga on him one-on-one what where did this come from where did this package come from what are you on right now were you doing this just make that kind of shot two minutes left in the game this is the shot that i cannot stop thinking about nimhard getting the ball in the second half taking the ball out of hallebertton’s hand a little bit stabilized that offense he didn’t have any turnovers in that second half okc seemed to be taken off guard by the fact that he be doing some of that ball handling i want to see if we’re going to get see some dort some caruso on him in that second half they can adjust to that nimhart was a huge huge factor in that offense and that shot as much of the hallebertton shot was as clutch and unpredictable a shot as i’ve seen in game one crossover crossover step back three if that doesn’t go down we might not be talking pacers up one might completely change this series game two tomorrow tips 8 eastern on abc boys thank you oh hallebertton yeah we all couldn’t help it actually we kind of told you about it yesterday we gave you our opinion on it if you don’t believe in hallebertton and the pacers by now we can’t help you they’re clutch and with hallebertton’s latest heroics he joined a pretty exclusive group he became the third player in the last 30 years to hit a game-winning shot with less than one second remain in the nba finals the other two the dream the king michael jordan i know them and i know these guys we talk clutch game winners kendrick perkins who’s in langston’s clothing store in okc we’ll talk about the chaps he’s wearing later we’ll get into all of that uh kevin weekes from edmonton and mina kimes from the nfl perspective okay perk we’re going to start with you because hi has been incredibly clutch throughout the playoffs where does he now rank in your list of top clutch performers in the league i gotta go with number one because not only did he do it in the first round he did it in the second round he did it in the third round and he just did it in the nba finals and majority of the time it’s on the road right it’s on the road so that’s what make that’s what makes it even better the fact that he’s coming up clutch and silencing the crowd i have to put him number one right now cuz he’s earned it just in this postseason yeah and you wonder perk if that clutch gene he’s shown us throughout the playoffs is going to be enough to lead them to a title so the the purpose of this conversation is to touch on the clutch performer from each sport so kevin i want to go to you now who’s your most clutch performer in the nhl hold on first of all i’m going going back back to hi hi hallebertton unbelievable what he did perk perk you didn’t get that one in perk i thought i thought that would have been on the tip of your tongue but you didn’t get that one so you got to give you got to give me my thoughts i didn’t know it was i didn’t know i didn’t i do i look you came in with the energy but christine and matt i blame you guys because first of all y’all didn’t tell me we was doing the same thing that we did the last show otherwise i would have came i would have came in with a whole lot of more energy i didn’t know the debate got it yeah i understood and tim mcmahon report that the knicks are looking at mavs coach jason kidd to replace tom thibido it sounds pretty preliminary they haven’t asked for permission to interview him kid did the interview for the knicks before he got the job that he currently has and tips obviously got that one this is uh interesting as we welcome in our nba reporter tim mcmahon he’s joining us alongside perk and tim what more can you tell us about the knicks and jason kid well you going to say howdy first well howdy matt uh this is preliminary this is the new york knicks doing their due diligence on jason kidd among other candidates they have not approached the mavericks to ask for permission they would have to be granted permission to interview jason kidd you know to to make any sort of an offer certainly uh we will see it’s a there’s an anticipation we’ll get to the point of them requesting permission we will see if the mavericks would grant that they are under no obligation to do so and the knicks ability to make a trade well their draft capital those assets have been depleted significantly by the deal that they made given up five first round picks for macau bridges last summer and again if you’re going to fire coach tibido right a guy a guy that’s helped build that culture and the energy and brought that energy back to new york then you have to go after a coach like jason kid right think about this jason kid is a coach that he coached jaylen brunson so he know what jaylen brunson likes right jaylen brunson is familiar with him and you have to bring someone that’s in there that’s going to be neutral that’s going to hold guys accountable and also that’s respected um you know and tim i’m just interested to see i mean um does jay kid have interest as well well i would say money talks and i think the new york knicks have a whole lot of that they do they do perk i appreciate you for everything okay i was going to say i appreciate you for everything that you just said but i really can’t concentrate that hat is i’m not going to it looks great what’s wrong no they got they i’m telling y’all we got a they got a beautiful collection over here at langsters a beautiful collection and i thought it just we’ll talk about that i thought it me jaylen williams said it sucks but we have been here before talking about getting their hearts ripped out at the end of a game one that they dominated for most of the game this is what happened to them in the second round against the denver nuggets when aaron gordon hits that three at the end of the game after the uh thunder had blown a 12-point lead you know shay gos alexander says how you lose really doesn’t matter it’s first to four you know the pacers got to get three more thunder got to get four more but you know whether they lose at at the buzzer or they get blown out the thunder have proof and they can bounce back from either one of those scenarios and the pacers are happy to be up 1 guys but they know they got to clean up a lot that first half when you got that many turnovers you give up 38 points to shay gillis alexander you you they’re down 15 in the fourth quarter tyresese hallebertton said it that’s not the formula they know they got to be better in game two if they want to continue to make this a series and push this thunder team to try to pull off this major upset but they’re certainly happy to be up 1 considering the way they played in game one yeah they have everybody like on this panic on this panic kick right now i was like “oh yeah uh oh the pacers are now the favorite they’re going to no they not everybody keep a cool booty right it’s one game it’s one game the thunder have been in this scenario before like tim just talked about with the denver nuggets.” and what happened to the denver in the second game they got stomped and that’s what’s going to happen in game two the thunder have filmed him they’re going to build off of that and chad homegrad is going to be better especially on the defensive side of things everybody keep your heads off what you’re saying oh yeah yeah keep your head remember in there though i did know that that’s kind of western for you remember that’s it’s a new style yeah i don’t know if i like it game two by the way sunday 8:00 p.m eastern on abc i can’t wait to the shows today in oklahoma city what’s that saying fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me tyresese hallebertton making the whole league look like a bunch of dummies he drained a jumper with.3 seconds on the clock last night completes another pacers rally and they steal game one of the finals this is his fourth go-ahad or tying shot in the last five seconds just this postseason you guys in fact a reminder of all the holy crap moments game one eastern conference finals against the knicks pacers rally from 14 down in the last three minutes hallebertton gets a big time bounce and indiana wins in an ot choke back to game two second round against the cavs pacers trail by seven in the final 50 but hallebertton’s three with 1.1 seconds remaining gives indiana the improbable win and then in the first round it was game five against the bucks pacers trail by seven in the final 40 seconds of ot and then another furious rally hallebertton’s game-winning layup sends milwaukee home papa hallebertton was talking his mess afterwards it’s just been absolutely ridiculous speaking of which we say hello to our nba champ blacker texas ranger also known as kendrick perkins who’s in oklahoma city right now and um i want to get to the western where in a second but last night on this very show you said that last night was a must-win for the pacers if they were going to have any shot at winning this series based on what you saw last night from the pacers how do you feel now well well they they got them one in they caught the thunder slipping there in game one and listen let me say this i i know tyrese hallebertton is getting all the love and rightfully so for the game winners and being clutch but last night was really about the others right it was about tj mcconnell it was about you know uh ob toppin pascal seakum uh aaron uh uh we talking about nimhart like those guys were the ones that got it to that point nimhart was a dog last night on both ends of the floor in the fourth quarter and i am a believer of the pacers um i believe if they continue to play that way and make those type of shots they absolutely can beat the thunder in the seven in this series but i just don’t believe that they can miles turned a bank shot off the uh three-point bank shot sideep in the fourth quarter i i don’t see them doing that consistently okay uh by the way nobody’s done what they did last night consistently that 15-point deficit matched the largest fourth quarter comeback that we’ve seen in the nba finals in over 50 years but you mentioned it you don’t seem to be chickening this thing right now for the thunder what’s your take on the collapse is this just like a bit of a blip or a really major concern heading into game two well i mean look they’ve been here before right i think when you look back at the denver series they lost game one of the of that uh of that series jokic went off of 42 aaron gordon 22 he had a g game winner and what did the how did the the thunder respond in that game they smoked them in game two this is a team that has a lot of pride they also are very mature with championship leadership and alex guso that they know how to stay even kill they don’t get too high they don’t get too low i will say that sga left out of the arena he was pissed off a guy that never really shows emotions which is a dangerous thing for the rest of the league i believe that they defense will be there for 48 minutes chad homegr played the worst game of the postseason far as his individual performance he will be a defensive force in game two in the rest of this series right it doesn’t come down to that shot when you rewatch that game is all the little things the missed free throws like the missed layups all of those things adding up but they vegas agrees with you they have the thunder as a 10 and a half point favorite for the game um by the way i’m really glad that you got a much better hat perk because i saw you on the 5:00 pm sports center and honestly it was giving a little bit of like party city hat that thing was sitting on top of your head like it was a eight gallon hat not a 10 one well well well the thing is i actually borrowed that hat from someone right and then i was waiting on mine was getting fitted you know what i’m saying like it had to get fitted i saved this i saved this here for this show you should be appreciative yeah it was not giving cowboy it was giving howdy duty like how how i look right now this is like see that by the way the fact this guy lives in texas and this is his first 10 gallon hat is insane kendrick perkins we love you thank you we’ve got much more on this pacers thunder matchup with tony and pablo in tonight’s pti bonus topic i like get it to your closer that’s what they say if we can get it to our closer we’re going to be all right and that’s what the others did the others got it to their closer he stepped up in a big way he did he did step up and knock down the shots but it’s the others again for me right because you don’t get to that last shot without the play of them to that last shot ob to 17 points off the bench let me say this he’s the face but the player tyrese hallebertton is the most popular player on this team he’s the face but the player that’s been the best player on this team consistently has been pascal siaka the eastern conference finals mvp you talk about having a first half he was the one that was in the mix of things and we expect that out of nba channel we have a lot of criticism and we’re critiquing why did dagno make a adjustment to his starting lineup you know why because it was the pascal saka matchup that’s power see when you start to move the needle you get in coach’s mind because he made that adjustment of going small because he was worried about who was going to guard at pascal pascal seakum has not been getting the praise that he need i get it he want eastern conference player uh uh the infant conference player mvp but this man is on a mission he’s on a mission he is the best player consistently on this pace team and if we’re talking about circumstances that don’t get the praise that they deserve we should also talk about the pacers defense because what led the highlights in all shows was the final shot but really it started with the big stop so let’s dive into the tape as i show you exactly what happened on this gamewinner sga can make the shot in his sleep but everyone knows it’s coming they load up pascal with a tough dig nith able to dig off the nail he had a shooter jdub available but instead we know this is automatic but look at that ferocious rebound then you’re off to the races no timeout because we know this guy is clutch again great spacing here instead of getting downhill you had a wide open layup speaking of pascal instead this is the money shot it does not matter it’s almost like he blacks out when it comes to the final shot of the game he just feels the confidence he feels in rhythm they know the spacing they trust the system but the system does not apply just offensively it was that defensive possession that you know it had me wondering too guys it had me wondering it was like no bigs on the floor you need a rebound you don’t like they were able to play their game when it mattered most and it started on the defensive end and then led to another iconic shot remember that chris finch sound that we s we talked about yesterday in the western conference finals when he said we we played this locker room sound where he said “you need to take away chad homegrren you need to take away jaylen williams let sga do his thing.” that feels like what the indiana pacers successfully executed last night because shay went for 38 points he didn’t exactly have a quiet night but he said “you know what we’re going to take away the others let shay play his game down the stretch.” when he missed that shot you thought “oh my goodness here comes the indiana pacers.” but in the first half you know what i was looking at i was looking at the turnovers for indiana it did not really make sense they had 25 turnovers on the game to the thunder seven that 18 turnover difference that’s the largest by a winning team in a playoff game since the team turnover ever just say ever technically schwarz is going to yell at me if i don’t say it in the technical since 1977 but here was shane gildas alexander after the loss the series isn’t first to one it’s first to four um so we have four more games to get they have three and that’s just where we are we got to understand that and we got to get to four before they get to three if we want to win nba championship and it’s that simple um it’s not rocket science we lost game one um we have to be better well it sucks but we have been here before um obviously like the denver series probably honestly around the same thing to be totally honest so it’s first to four so regardless of it’s the finals or you know round to win four games so we’ll take that and be ready for game two perk you ran into sga in the hallway after the game right he was hot he was hot he was out he was the first person out and he was pissed off and rightfully so right like he he this is who this team is though they got a lot of pride and now i think it’s personal right we talk about that canadian blood we saw him and nimhart going at it did you see him you see him check this play out i ain’t lying i was watching i was in the arena here it is right there nimh hard press the defender look at this watch shay we never see sh look hold on that what you doing let me give you a shot oh now i’m right back at you man watch out yeah whatever whatever i’m with that now here’s the thing right we know this here’s another play going downhill uh sga tough late but they went back and forth not them hard watch him get in his bag he want to switch watch this here woo watch this here he want to switch all right now it’s time for you to slide those puppies canadian teammates yeah i would like to have this dance i would like to have this dance i would like to have this dance ah come here it’s a six-point game it’s a six-point game all of a sudden he cut it and now this look look the hand checking it’s real beef there now here’s the thing now you know what i’m saying we talking about the mvp i’m not taking anything from them hard series we sure you want to be poking that bell right especially because you know that after coming back you you’re going to get okc’s close to best shot in this next game but when you look at the box score richard there’s about 51 reasons why it should have been okc that won this game well i i i look at no one for me i’m not worried about okc i like you can’t get too high you can’t get too low and you can’t lose game two no well no you can cuz i’ve lost game two and i still have a championship ring oh yeah yeah so i just i’m just letting just letting america know what happened there no but but i say that to say is that you’re going to get punched in the gut you’re going to get hit hard can you get back up they lost in in to denver they lose game six they’re forced to a game seven at home they answer that call the finals perk you lost in a game seven but i believe you also won in six before that so it’s like that’s multiple losses where you got to answer the call and i believe okc is going to answer that call now i tried to tell y’all yesterday the pathway to the pacer success and the reason why the thunder lost and were able to have this amazing comeback we saw uh by indiana was literally the corner threes and y’all laughed at me but it is the truth look at the numbers right here they’ve shot 10 of 16 on corner threes the second most made corner threes by any team this postseason this is a team that loads up in the paint so far the pacers have made the most threes in the postseason and guess what they found the one area of weakness and then they made it their strength and you think about it if you’re going to try to accomplish a huge comeback how do you do it faster than most teams how are you able to do the improbable four game tying or go ahead type of shots it’s because the threes get you there in an accelerator so you may not be playing well but it doesn’t matter when you shoot six for 10 from three in the fourth quarter it doesn’t matter when you’re going up against the knicks and one of your players right there can knock down six threes in a quarter it may not be loud it may not be sexy but it’s sure as heck effective for them so i think if you’re if you’re the thunder you’re looking like we’ve got to slow them down there’s perimeter shooting down well two things one did we lower this table because yesterday it was covering up my stomach i don’t like the way that’s that table that be a high table let’s fix that here’s the thing right here’s the thing what what it showed me about them hitting threes is that now the thunder they’re they’re going to be in the scotland report they’re going to respect those what i’m saying they’re going to respect them more do we think obie topphen is going to be left open do you think guys are going to are you making up face i don’t think he should have been there i get it richard wait let me answer the question you yell first you first i think to say that on the sky report i think okc’s defense they’re the best they don’t take anybody for granted i think they made some mistakes some guys hit some shots obviously they didn’t capitalize on the turnovers that was the biggest thing that was supposed to be an 18 point that was kind of what was funky right in the first half when you’re looking at the fact that they had 20 cuz they upgraded it from 19 to 20 turnovers in the first half and you’re saying wait why is this 7 11 eight-point game that didn’t make any sense but don’t y’all think the shift in the starting lineup kind of told you that they were a little bit more worried than perk hated that shift in the starting lineup it was it was seakkum but i will say after checking with matt williams and having a deep conversation i wanted to get some facts that starting lineup was a plus two in 16 minutes so that wasn’t the deciding factor in the game the problem was was that you went with five smalls down the stretch to close the like got the wait the bigs are i mean the smalls for indie are bigger than the smalls for okc so when you talk about obby toppen when you talk about smith when you talk about pascalakum versus cruso william so that’s the difference that’s saying something because the smalls if you will for okc they play much bigger than they are this has been the perfect start by the way to these nba finals one-point game what the heck but uh richard jefferson has a schedule to keep apparently we have to let him go i’m out bro i got a lot of jobs man i wear a lot of hat we are proud of you you need them hats for that head coming up here on nba today what is okc into oklahoma city but they failed to capitalize on them they scored just 11 points off turnovers that’s their fewest in any game this postseason now sga he did fill up the stat sheet right he scored 38 points to become the first player to score twice as many points as any other player in a finals game since kobe did it in 2009 he’s also the first player to do this in a finals debut since george mike did it in 1949 and with that the thunder they led by 15 with 9 and 1/2 minutes left that’s when the pace indie closed on a 32 to6 run they held okc to four of 16 shooting from the field 0 of five on threes the rest of the way here’s tyresese hallebertton with our lisa salters we got the stop uh you know and coach trust us in those moments to not call timeouts trust me in those moments guys trust me and uh just try to make a play so uh man basketball’s fun man winning is fun that’s that’s a great win for us brian winhorse and udonis hasslam are joining us for this conversation uh and brian ud you had uh you you have the pacers winning the series i did but unlike me didn’t have them winning game one strange but brian you said that this was the this was the road map this was the blueprint this is how they wanted to play yeah so i first off the way that you make a a win as a lower seed which is what the pacers are is you obviously take a game that you shouldn’t probably win they did it the last two rounds i got off to a good start that’s what happened so that was definitely on their list but as i was talking to people from the pacers before the game they couldn’t have been more complimentary about when i make i mean on get out make let’s she wants hello foreign [Music]

  1. Hey big Perkins and others!. Game 2 are a crucial game for both the Pacers and OKC. OKC will make some key adjustments. However, how would the Pacers win game 2?.
    1. Spacing, run and switch in transitional offense and defense. 2. Who get the best rotation and can play a better transitional game for 40 minutes will win the NBA CHAMPIONSHIP 2025. 3. The Pacers must take quick and decisive shots. Don't wait for OKC to set up they defense. Take good shots, while moving with the ball are basically pro-basketball fundamentals. Again, don't slow the game down. 4. Avoid foolish turnovers by Pacer Nation.
Can Coach Rick Carlisle make the require adjustments to seal a huge win tonight?. Yes. Nevertheless, this game 2 will be a huge battle. Why?. Both teams feel each other out in game 1.

  2. Pacers are a TEAM.
All of them Pacers boys can shoot the ball. What would happen if the whole TEAM were clicking at the same time.
Go back and watch game 4 highlights in the Cavaliers series.
Game 2 Pacers and the Thunder
    The boys smell blood.

  3. I don’t know what is going on with the NBA no days but every game that plays I noticed they always said game one and two now. Who are you guys? Are you guys hypocrites? Are you guys trying to fool? I know wanting I do not depends on the NBA to make my life I work for my life and I learn skills so God bless the NBA to so it helps and continue to help and most people should be happy that there is a basketball and a football RS. I really don’t know what would happen to the people That don’t wanna work and don’t wanna learn something to better their life. I’m here in the United States of America and I am proud to be here. I am happy to be here and I’m buttering no one so I do not expect anyone to bother me. This is my phone foolishness you guys coming with on my page. Listen up everyone, even the president after United States I would like everyone that bothers me to leave me alone. It’s time you guys get off my back and leave me alone and move on with you guys life they gave me clown and then they clown me and set me up for people to kill me so we don’t have sense and knowledge and understanding, they can come forward to me. I know you guys need to stop. What do I have to do for you guys to stop? Are you guys pushing me to do something that I don’t make out of to do and don’t never ever want to do I am not telling anyone to tell you guys to stop I’m telling who he is messing with me to stop and that is Englishand I have nothing more to say so I hope the judges liars everybody everyone in Aurora listen to what I’m saying this Sunday morning. Just leave me alone and my business plan simple.

  4. "Never tell me the odds." Is Captain Kirk's line to Spock. Tonight's game will be different. I don't see how OKC could be much more aggressive, but their hair will be on fire.

  5. How do these guys call themselves sports analysts when it’s clear they know nothing about the Pacers. They hardly mention them, outside of talking about Haliburton’s last second shots. The Pacers are a championship team; that’s why they’re in the Finals. Those comebacks were largely in the context of series that the Pacers were either 1) in control of or 2) establishing control. They weren’t comebacks to save the series. Wake up!

  6. Hey fellas why yall letting these ladies Crack all these jokes? Perk that got YOU and she just told old boy he need sunscreen for his head😂😂😂 I don't mind jokes but if you dish it out you gotta be able to take….roast them broads😂😂😂

  7. The refs let them play that was the difference without the refs OKC are a good team but not better then the pacers I hope everyone sees what the refs have done for the game

  8. The comments are awesome! I have no dog in the fight but I bet Pacers back in May to win the whole thing. Best TEAM in the playoffs and they’re proving it

  9. Perk sounds dumb! He guaranteed that OKC would win game one. Now he trying to put the blame on OKC starting line up. After they gave up a15 point lead in the forth quarter. He's a talking head!

  10. These guys are clueless. Watch the games. Believe your eyes. OKC won the first half at home, the Pacers won the second half and the clutch last two minutes and won the game on the road. And these guys still are not giving them credit or a chance. LOL GO PACERS!

  11. ……..The PACERS Has A Better TEAM CHEMISTRY……..The PACERS Will Win Again Tonight & Will Become The 2025 NBA CHAMPIONS!…….

  12. Man please go back and look at the old Chicago bulls intro now that made it feel like the finals when they put that spotlight on that bull in middle of the court man that was the real NBA finals
