Freezing is the reason
TJ is what he's supposed to be.
Dude is a freaky good talent. Defensively has the skills to be scary. Steal rate last year only behind Clark, Block rate was right there with Rudy. And that's been where he's been in those limited minutes for 3 years now, consistently 2-3% steal rate and 4-5% block rate. And he's done that in the G league and college. He's a freaky athletic defender there.
Now he lost his rotational minutes with a lack of offense and then the boneheaded 10 seconds losing his guy on a back door when defending off ball… But I still have hopes, you can see the pieces there for a great defending switchable wing with rim protection ability too. Not a great floor stretcher (think Jaden outside of his freaky year a few years ago from 3). Rebounds about the same rate as Naz and Julius. I know year 3 it's kind of time to put up or move on for him, but he's a bit of a darkhorse for me this year for rotational minutes. And I think he could see them if the Wolves aggregate players going out for someone like Durant.
