It’s CONFIRMED…
i hate this as we have multiple new reports surrounding the boston celtics and some massive updates regarding their free agency and brad stevens plans for this team including one that has fans absolutely fired up we’re going to break down exactly what those are and discuss what this means going forward is this changes the landscape of the offseason we also have a few other reports to go over today folks involving the boston celtics before we do it all if you’re part of the percentage who aren’t subscribed to the channel this is the place to be for daily celtics content so make sure to hit that subscribe button and thank you guys again for your continued support ladies and gentlemen with the you know nba finals concluding very soon the celtics unfortunately not in it we have some big updates surrounding a couple players who won’t be returning according to a lot of sources here to the boston celtics and let’s dive right into it now this one kind of came out of nowhere but if you you know super you following the celtics super closely you kind of had an idea that there was a possibility that this was going to be you know on the horizon here and that is surrounding luke cornet and we’re going to be diving into the depth trap we’re going to be doing all those things but i want to drop this here and this is a big report that dropped last night so the celtics are likely to lose backup center luke cornett in free agency with boston’s massive tax bill and their plans to lower it cornet will find interest from contending teams who can offer more annually and i mean luke cornet a very very good interesting you know tenure as a boston celtic but i really really liked his game with the celtics and the fact that you know with the tax bill the cba everything we’re going to be diving into that we also have a report on drew holiday as well surrounding leaving the boston celtics it’s going to be a bittersweet you know off seasonason because bitter in the sense of there’s going to be a lot of guys who are leaving guys that helped the celtics win a championship leaving the team but on the flip side this is a much needed you know it has to happen it’s just the way that the nba works and they were never going to be able to extend every single player and luke cornett seems to be one of the guys who you know was out there now there was there was some rumblings sorry about you know luc cornet returning to you know boston on a team friendly deal all these different things earlier on in the offseason but now it seems according to evan cury there that he is not going to be returning and that he’s going to be gone and they’re going to let him walk because of the other avenues they have to take to cut salary at this point and let’s look at his stats in boston now he’s been with boston won a championship with boston of course last year he was a pretty big contributor you know to the team in general right and someone that when he was brought in we think back he was brought in i guess technically technically from milwaukee but realistically he was on three different teams he was with boston back in 2020 2021 if you remember that went to cleveland you know milwaukee was basically bouncing was almost out of the league came back to boston and in 2022 really found his stride he is a backup center through and through right and you think back to last season even like this season that just happened 73 games he started 16 of them given some of their you know center woes chris alzen has been injured a lot he averaged six points five rebounds he is a baller and i love luke cornett he is a perfect backup center he is big is he a good defender no but he not necessarily like a great defender but he’s a very capable defender and he’s someone that is always in the right spots and he’s just someone who plays the game of basketball correctly and that’s why he contributes to winning basketball and as crazy as it sounds like obviously when luke cornet came over you were thinking okay you know who is this guy how well will he actually do he did extremely extremely well and they’re going to miss him like as much as you know there’s some like memes and jokes about lucernette they are going to miss him he’s 29 years old going to be turning 30 by next season whatever team he joins is going to have a very solid backup center and there’s been some rumblings about him going to the lakers i mean he would fit perfectly over there as a backup center and the celtics now have to replace their backup center will they use some of their young guys some guys you saw last year i’m sure that’s kind of you know finding guys on cheap contracts on rookie contracts is going to be the play but it’s not like luke cornett was going to get a massive contract anyway but for you know the amount of money that you’re going to spend on cornet and he’s going to command in the free agency market especially off of the best season of his career like undoubtedly maybe compared to you know his second year sophomore year there with new york he you know he contributes to winning basketball and i’m curious to see what you guys think about cornet down below are you sad do you think they should resign him i know there’s some people talking about that i think ultimately you know it makes some sense here and it’s it’s going to be interesting because you also have drew holidayiday now let’s dive into him a little bit a recent article dropped and we’ll touch on cornet again before we wrap up article dropped basically revealing who’s most likely to leave the boston celtics number one in tier one at the very top of the list according to this insider of the athletic says it is drew holiday the obvious salary cutting option now of course this is an insider from the athletic this is a article slashreport um you know he’s not firmly saying that drew holiday is 100% gone but again it is you know take it with a grain of salt but this is what he said even if the celtics takes a less aggressive approach to salary cutting holiday is an obvious trade candidate he’s set to turn 35 this week he could be 36 by the time tatum plays his next game holiday’s offense dips this past season but he remained one of the best defenders in the league and of course his contract’s huge right it’s going to be easier to get off of christopheringis than it is drew holiday though his contract isn’t exactly team friendly at this point he’s the type of veteran a contending team should want and that’s the biggest thing you look at you know his stats last year of course you know he’s dipped a little bit since coming to boston in the points department still one of the best defenders didn’t get any accolades for it a weird year in general he is an elite role player and an elite you know third fourth best player on a championship team if he’s your third best player fourth best player you you can win a championship we saw that last year and obviously you can argue who the third best player is the fourth best player regardless tatum brown and whoever else for jaylen uh you know for jason tatum and jaylen brown not having chris stops you know porzingis and drew holidayiday is interesting now chris stops i don’t think is as big of a deal but drew holiday he makes so much money of course signed that massive extension he’s under contract with the celtics now for you know a while he’s going to get at least for a little bit longer he’s not you know a rental in this for any team that trades for him rather he’s not going to be expiring he is an elite defender and if there’s a team like you know out there like i’m not not necessarily lakers but teams out there who let’s say they strike out in kevin durant all right let’s say giannis doesn’t get traded you now open yourself up to needing a role player every team can use a wing every team can use a a point of attack defending wing and if you know his contract yes it’s bad in the sense of it’s a little bit of an overpay but you’re at the point if you’re a contending team where you’re saying “hey we don’t have an avenue to get a free agent like him there’s not many out there.” or a trade like him that you have to give up a ton of assets multiple first round picks or anything like that you can kind of like i think the celtics will be able to get off of his contract and maybe get a little bit less assets because of his contract not being team friendly but that’s fine like get out of it you reset get a little bit of assets back for drew holiday and for the other team it makes a ton of sense and i think that there’s a point now where we’re not going to have drew holiday or luke cornet and probably not christopheris on this team the center position is very very you know bad of course you have al horford you have you know you have kada other than that like do we have faith in xavier tilman do we have faith in al horford if he returns like there’s do we have faith in kada i mean we all do we all love him fan favorite can he be a starting center let me know down below right now but regardless of that you can see this here from celtics drew holiday luke cornet sam sam hower’s another one video coming out soon chriszingis all gone cba ruined our league the reality has sunk in right it has sunk in these guys are going to be gone um a lot of players on the celtics that we know that contributed to the championship it’s just their time to go the big question is though how do brad stevens and the geniuses in the celtics front office manage this how do they change their team to make it so they are a team that now is reformed and can actually work alongside what’s going to be jaylen brown next year it’s going to be jaylen brown’s team jaylen brown and dererick white there’s some rumblings about derrick white being traded are the assets you’re going to get for derrick white worth the team friendly contract there’s a lot of different things they have to weigh here but we do know drew holiday almost surely gone luke cornet gone and it’s a very unfortunate reality and um i think at the end of the day though folks celtics will be good they won a championship just last season and i’m excited to see what brad stevens has up asleep ladies and gentlemen you guys are absolute beasts thank you guys for continuing support tons more content coming things are really about to heat up so you want to make sure to hit that subscribe button thank you guys for watching you guys are the best cheers

Hate to lose him😢
The word is undoubtedly. I'm hearing a lot of "undoubtedly"
How is the 6 man and his contract not part of trade talks. Love Pritchard on offense but he is undersized on the defensive side. If he’s ready to start why not see what we can get for him if we’re looking to upgrade the PG position
Lukes only going to leave if someone stupidly offers luke 10-14M. He already turned down a 9M offer from utah last season to re-sign back with boston for 2M. He loves boston and he has settled his family down in boston.
P.S. nick, jrue isnt a wing. Hes a guard.
He's going to start wetting 3s again no matter what team he goes to. We are going to eagerly pursue a similar player to him.
Not impressed what they plan on doing.
If Holliday leaves, Korner shouldn't have to.
Hate to see him go, and will be a bit surprised. Still in his prime and healthy, I'd give him 10m if I were the Brad. Sacrifice the old, the injured, and the big ticket items, keep Luke.
I think Queta could step up if we lose Luke
Trade Holiday. Trade Brown. Clear that money, get first round draft capital for a rebuild and the great 2027 FA class. If Holiday gets you the rumored Gafford and Washington from Mavs and Brown for the number 2 overall from Spurs, do it. Next season: Pritchard, White, KP, Gafford, Washington. Bench of Quetas, Davison, Scheierman, and Oubre (mid level FA). Draft Ace Bailey at 2 who is comped at worst to Michael Porter and at best Kevin Durant, due to his ability to score from all three levels. Hauser gets traded as well. Horford gone and Kornet gone (thank god – not worth the contract he will get).
You sign Naz Reid. Averaged 15 and 6 last season.
Luke will return $18M/3yrs
Drew Holiday can't even spell his own first name!
$22 to 27+ million 4 years contract 🧐🤨🤔
