Houston Rockets Sign Steven Adams My Thoughts!!

yo what’s going on guys this is Houston Sports Talk back in the video today and today the Houston Rockets um have resigned Stephen Adams to a three-year $39 million deal it’s the first move of the Houston Rockets off season love to see this signing for the Rockets bring back Steven Adams uh with especially how good he was this year in the postseason for the Rockets in in their sevename series in the playoffs the Rockets were a plus 44 when Stephen Adams was on the floor and they were a minus 44 when he was not on the floor he played 22 minutes in the postseason sorry 22 minutes per game in the postseason averaging seven rebounds per game and six points per game he also averaged over one block per game and one assists per game from the floor Adams did shoot 60 or yeah 60% from the floor for Adams on three attempts per game um and then the regular season Adams did not play as much the minutes were way down in the Redwood season compared to the postseason and I hope in this next season Adams gets and I love Alpring alpring is great but I believe that Stephen Adams will get more minutes next season because it wasn’t the entire season that Emeoka experimented with the with the Steven Adams Alpring double big lineup that worked a lot it wasn’t until uh midFebruary in Anthony Davis’s Mav’s debut that Emoka tried that so now that I think Adams is more healthy than he was coming back this season from that injury and you’ve now there’s now more time to give Adams minutes if he’s going to be on the flooring unit at times i I would say that Adams averages more minutes next season uh than he did this year this year in the regular season was only 13 minutes per game for CNS i bet that number goes up i don’t know how much it goes up but I think it goes up and he averaged four points per game and six rebounds per game um but I think you know you saw his value uh when you started to see him play more at the end of the season with the double big lineup and Adams’s numbers were a lot better um in the last couple months of the season around January to around January to April before the postseason started because he was playing more because you know he it wasn’t cuz like from from October to February for Stephen Adams it was the only way I’m on the floor is if Alrenon is off the floor but then beginning of February it turned to this thing you know I might I’m very good chance I’m on the floor if Alpine Jenun’s on the you know off the floor but I might be on the floor um if he is as well and they did a lot in the postseason in that seven game series against the Warriors another thing I will note is that he was the best rebound he was the best offensive rebound in the NBA had the best offensive rebound percentage in basketball last season so that’s another thing to note for for Adams and um you know so I I I don’t think there’s anything wrong with his signing i think I would have loved to seen him make you know 11 12 million a year and not and not 13 but if that’s what it takes to get Adams back you have to do it um I know there were a lot of and here’s the problem there are a lot of teams that the Rockets are consider as competitors in the Western Conference going after him you don’t want Stephen Adams going to a competitor in the West like the Lakers or the Warriors and so and I I know you know some people might think Stephen Adams is old but he’s actually still really young at 31 years old so um I I don’t I don’t think there’s anything wrong with this deal i love this deal for the Rockets i would say the only problem was there’s no options in this deal so far it hasn’t been announced it could be announced i don’t know but there have been no announced options in this deal no player option no team option i would have loved a team option on at the end of the second year for this Rockets team but I maybe Adams didn’t want to do it but this is the first VC signing of the offseason i I think you’ve got things moving fast already and and you know it’s not it’s not even the end of the NBA Finals yet or only four games into the NBA finals you’ve got a signing with Stephen Adams resigning with the Rockets uh just yesterday Russell Westbrook declined his player option uh there’s talks about how next week the trade uh for Kevin Durant should happen and uh the NBA finals should still be going on if if if by then so uh the offseason is moving and the NBA season is not even officially over yet so that’s crazy let me know your thoughts on the signing of the Rockets in the comments section and peace out
