if you needed one more reason John Morance’s not leaving Memphis we just got it but there’s still one thing nobody’s talking about obviously the Grizzlies just traded Desmond Bane to Orlando and the fact that Memphis got four first round picks two rotational vets for a third option on a $27 million contract is absolutely insane this is the biggest signal that the Grizzlies still believe in J and now they have capital to build around him and Jiren however it is a massive coincidence that Morant fired his agent one day before this deal happened all I am saying is J has three years left on this current contract and this summer is the first summer he’s extension eligible so the most likely reason he fired his second agent in just 2 years is because he wants his contract now and not later this Desmond Bane trade means that’s exactly what he’s going to get and I’m so excited shout out to Orlando Magic i think they have a great future as

To everyone saying the magic got fleeced I disagree one of them picks is worth getting rid of kcp trash ass and atrocious contact and Cole Anthony is trash too so it’s pretty much 3 picks for Desmond bane who is extremely underrated he’s already been one of the best shooters in the league for the past few years but he’s developed big time and became an all around great scorer and he’s a strong defender he has the strength to guard wings and forwards so it’s not a bad trade at all

Memphis: B+ You get off the Desmond Bane contract which will get really expensive quick. You get Cole Anthony who can be rerouted because you have Scottie Pippen Jr. You take on the bad KCP contract but you get 4 FRP including the Suns 2026 first unprotected. That can mean either a lottery pick or a top 5 pick in next years draft. This trade also allows GG Jackson, Vince Williams, Jaylen Wells, and more to get more opportunities. And you get a swap which is probably going to be in the 20s. Overall not bad for Memphis

Most of the picks the grizzlies got won’t be good. Memphis did get a Phoenix swap in 2026 which is good, plus, Cole Anthony is a stud. To find out who truly won the trade is to see if KCP can prove that he is not on a bad contract and same thing with Desmond Bane

I’ll come out and say this . Desmond bane is a hell of a player and this is a win in three years move for Orlando that could actually pay off in time . What they gave up is crazy 😂 but I’ve also seen first round picks not come to fruition time and time again .
