before NBA 2K Clark Kellogg was an NBA star in the making one of the most heralded players to ever come out of Ohio Kellogg spent three years at Ohio State before the Indiana Pacers took him in the first round of the 1982 draft over the next three seasons Kellogg was impressive he was a talented scorer on offense and although he stood just 6’7 he was one of the best rebounders in the league he averaged 20 and 10 in his debut season and finished as runner up for rookie of the year he continued as a nightly double double threat for the next two years his first three seasons saw him average about 19 points 10 rebounds and three assists but then knee problems derailed his promising career across his next two seasons Kellogg appeared in 23 games at the age of 26 he announced his retirement fortunately he transitioned to an extremely successful broadcasting career but when you talk about the biggest whatifs in NBA history Clark Kellogg should be in that conversation

His NBA Career has become mostly forgotten, but for a brief period in the 1980s, Clark Kellogg was one of the most promising players in the NBA. He only played 3 full seasons for the Indiana Pacers, but he was a double-double machine, and if not for knee injuries, he may have been one of the greatest Pacers of all time.
