It’s FINALLY Happening… | Daily Grizzlies News & Rumors
welcome back to another edition of Grizzies Daily i am your host Walik this is episode 25 can we We already at 25 episodes but let’s just jump straight into it uh we got some pretty good news regarding the Grizzlies and the offseason and offseason moves at that uh Denny Adia he is apparently on the radar for the Grizzlies reports have come out that the Grizzlies are making calls for the Portland Trailblazers forward uh offering multiple picks and players for him uh this is a good sign because I actually like Denny Obdilla uh he’s coming off a career year where he a 168 and four on 47% shooting from the field um and overall just watching Denny Odilla he has allstar potential uh multiple games where he had a triple double or near triple double so uh I like the idea of having Denny Ad on the team i really do he’s a guy that can work by himself he can also work with the team just overall a great player a great young player at that to have on uh on your roster you know and that was evident because at one point people looked at Denny Abd as a potential bust but then the Blazers gave him a chance to really work and I I liked what I saw i liked what I saw from Denny Abd he he’s honestly outplayed multiple great players in this league on multiple occasions it just doesn’t get enough attention because he’s on the Trailblazers so the potential addition of Denny Adia I absolutely love for the Grizzlies um the only thing is with the multiple picks I would say is definitely going to be like two or three picks included in the deal just because the trade market right now was in the craziest state that has ever been in i mean you got you got moments where Mikuel Bridges he was traded for five first round picks then you got Rudy Gobear uh they so many picks were given up for Rudy Goar so that kind of thing so you really just have to you really just have to remember that the trade market isn’t what it used to be before because if it was excuse me because if it was we’re looking at a whole different conversation when it comes to acquiring Denny FD but as far as the players uh without a doubt in my mind that if it really came down to it I think the Grizzlies would be willing to trade a guy like Santi Alama and Brandon Clark mostly because Santi is a guy that the Blazers would love he’s tall he can move uh obviously there’s questions on defense but he’s he’s essentially kind of like Denny Odia so you so you try to trade for his replacement makes sense so I think Danny Alia to Gri to the Grizzlies um I think it’s a possibility we see that deal i think I truly think it does uh happen which I cannot go against i like the deal but at the same time would like a little more experience but if you can get a guy like Danny FDA then I’m all for it so I can’t can’t really complain when it comes to that so yeah that’s just something that we’ll be following throughout the entire off season just hope for the best uh as the Grizzlies try to figure things out and really bounce back from the year of last year so hope hopefully for the best uh something else that uh we also found out just a reiteration of things the relationship with John Moran and the Grizzlies is strong and that’s according to sources um very very good news to hear obviously this is something most Grizzlies fans kind of already knew we we really knew this already um I mean John Morant on multiple times even when it came to trade rumors he’s denied all of them the Grizzlies have denied all of them uh Zack Kleman has said on multiple occasions that John Mar isn’t going anywhere he’s not getting traded he’s not getting chopped around the team is going to build around him and that’s why this D of Dia news is good because the team is working to build around him with better talent and that’s something that you know you look at these other teams that’s absolutely what you need you need better talent now like I said I’m all I I I really do want experience and one thing you have one one thing people have to understand I emphasize experience because if we’re watching the NBA finals right now we’re watching two very young teams compete and I mean compete in battle but at the same time there’s been multiple occasions where the vets on that team have truly propelled them to where they are now i mean you look at you look at the Oklahoma City Thunder Alex Caruso he’s a vet and look where they got and then you look at the Indiana Pacers TJ McConnell tj McConnell not a name that you would even think would be as impactful as he is but guess what he’s a mentor and he’s a high energy guy that brings a lot to the team i mean the guy got five steals in game three without those five steals Indiana doesn’t have nearly the momentum that they did so I mean you really just have to look at what other teams are doing that’s why I’m so adamant about veterans because you don’t need the best veteran out there you don’t need to be like “Oh if we need a veteran we need Kevin Durant.” Now yes that’s ideal but you can def you can get what other teams have at the for for a much lower price i mean it’s not asking for much it really isn’t so you know you just think about those things you’re like “Okay you know maybe the team can make that work.” So really that’s just how you got to look at it and that’s how I’m looking at it so um that’s just something that the Grizzlies really need to follow and obviously with John Moran and their strong relationship maybe John Moran can give us some pointers on who they should go after and what what kind of players they should bring to the team so maybe this is on a level of we’re looking at the input that John has um from a player level that can help the front office so definitely something that may work out may not but one can only tell as long as the Grizzlies are actually trying now uh something else involved with John Marine this is just slight news he did leave Mike Miller’s free um Mike Miller’s uh agency which is Live Sports Management uh John Marine joined him last year after leaving his original agency uh so unclear why he would leave in on such um such short notice with with just a year uh maybe there was a disagreement that both sides had that just realized it wasn’t going to work or maybe John wanted to go to a different route i mean he does I mean soon he’s going to ask for a new contract and maybe he felt like the agency wasn’t really putting him in the right direction for a new contract so one can only hope that this means something positive for the future when it comes to Jamar uh have no idea what agency he has in mind about going to there’s so many out there uh so many that would want a guy like John so uh yeah just slight news right there just something that was uh making the rounds and was simply confirmed by multiple sources so uh once again unsure how the deal came about what exactly caused both sides to part ways so hopefully we end up finding out more but something else I want to get into before I end this episode um we’re talking about probably one of the most controversial former Grizzlies sounded like calling him a former Grizzly because he barely played but uh Chandler Parsons on the Running Back uh I believe it’s a podcast i’m just going to call it running back um he they had Tony Allen on as a guest and Chandler Parsons proceeded to say that the Grizzlies needed to relocate to a city like Las Vegas and all I have to say is from a guy from a I expect 100% a guy like Chandler Parsons to say something like that because he doesn’t think before he talks this is a guy that takes every chance he can to make fun of the Grizzlies or say things controversial in front of the players which is why a lot of fans they see these clips and they’re like the team shouldn’t even entertain or join the show at that now granted it’s all probably because of the deal with FanDuel Sports Network that broadcast Grizzly Games other than that that team has none of the players on that team have no reason I mean no reason at all to join that show uh we saw GG say some things that you know a lot of people like maybe you shouldn’t have said that and just other cases where you know Cha Parson tries to bait guys into saying the wrong thing or something controversial just so he can prove a point so um yeah Chandler Parsons he’s a clown uh he’s never done anything good for the Grizzlies don’t even know why he still really talks on him as much as he does i mean you look at it Chandler Parsons literally does not talk about any of the other teams that he’s played for and he’s played for some good teams the Rockets the Mavericks and some other teams that I can’t really remember but you know just he’s a good player he was a good player but it’s just like you you you try to play the villain role on a city that really does not care about you at all and it’s been known that but Channel just tries his hardest to be the villain and he knows with this platform he has all the capabilities of doing that so really just anything with Chandler Parsons’s name in it we take with a grain of salt over here we don’t really care just something that really just sparked my interest because that’s probably the first time I’ve ever heard someone in I guess the media i don’t really classify him as media but somebody in the media just as saying the Grizzlies of all teams should relocate even though it’s been on record said by multiple players that the Grizzlies is one of the hardest play the Memphis is one of the hardest places to play in but it’s also one of the best places to play in energy wise even on ro even the teams that play on the road say that Memphis is a great city to play in so really just clown behavior just a guy that wants every big market city to have a team and just take away the true fandom and just have a bunch of millionaires at courtside just to look pretty so nobody really cares about the fandom and he’s sure one of them because if he did he wouldn’t have done what he done and actually cared about the fans so yeah anything channels in it we don’t care about that that’s just as simple as that but that’s all I got for today um like I said when it comes to news such as Denny ADA or John Mor we’re definitely going to stay on top of those all throughout the offseason especially with Denny Abdia uh with the calls being made right now is a possibility that hey they may be close to a deal just you know till we get some things out but we we don’t know that right now so we just got to wait and see
