a big trade happens in the middle of the NBA finals this is how it impacts the Dallas Mavericks so the Orlando Magic get Desmond Bane the Grizzlies get Kavius Cowwell Pope cole Anthony four first round picks the Grizzlies get worse they’re a worse team now desmond Bane was really good fringe all-star type player and they get KCP cole Anthony were role players but didn’t have great years for the Magic this year they could be better with the Grizzlies grizzlies could have some more depth but they won’t be as good desmond Bane is a very good player which is why the Grizzlies got four first round picks for him and so the Grizzlies will be a worse team next year who knows if they’re loading up all these picks to try and get somebody better that’s something to definitely watch out for they could be a big buyer in the trade market because they still got John Morant they still got Jiren Jackson Jr they’ve got a bunch of depth still there and they’re trying to figure out what to do with that but they will be a worse team next year the other thing is it takes Orlando off the board as far as a guard trade suitor the Mavericks need a guard they need to trade for a guard go get one and now they got their guy in Desmond Bane they’re going to be a second apron team now the Orlando Magic are they’ve got a lot of salary they can’t make another move the other thing I’m seeing about this trade is a lot of Mavericks fans bemoning the fact that oh the Grizzlies got four first round picks to the Mavericks only got one first round pick for Luca yes that’s true should the Mavericks have gotten more for Luca absolutely should have gotten one at least one more first round pick the Lakers have another one they’re just holding on to that they should have given to the Mavericks for sure should Daltton connect maybe Austin Reeves whoever Gabe Vincent even like should they have thrown somebody else in the deal absolutely mav should have gotten more but these picks are not going to be that great the the 16th pick in the NBA draft this year okay fine we’ll see who that ends up being 2026 first there’s a Phoenix pick swap we’ll see what happens with that who’s better there and it’s going to be you know Orlando’s picks in 2028 and 2030 and those picks are not going to be good picks orlando is going to be a good team they’ve got really young talent that’s going to be good and so these are like not the highest first round picks anthony Davis is worth more than any of these picks probably all these combined and so I get it the Mav should have gotten more for Luka but all right

Was a Mavs fan when they got Green. To this day I still don't see Bane as that great of a player. I thought 200 mil contract the Griz gave him was stupid and 4 1st rd picks for him is stupid. Magic are crazy.

The grizzlies will be the worst team
Grizz can now package the picks and go get someone else that can help in other ways… interesting move. Magic got a ball handler, pause, and a 3pt threat, who isnt exactly bad on defense. Bane is more than passable on D, and of course, as any grizz fan can attest, he is a worker! Through all the injuries, Bane was always there trying to keep the team afloat. Magic will be better next year but only if their injuries don’t flair up AGAIN.
Magic had to overpay cause the grizzlies are taking on kcp’s horrible contract (43 mil a year)
It’s not about the picks. The Magic had to give up that much to offload the KCP contract and Cole Anthony. Bane is under contract for the next four years so basically a pick per year. I think it’s a great move for Orlando.

The grizzlies are way better team than the magic.They just had a lot of injuries.
The grizzlies could trade five first round picks easily now. And cleared up their cap space. They clearly did not get worse.

I think your opinion of Anthony Davis is too high. I mean he can be really good sometimes but then sometimes he be really pedestrian. He’s shown that he cannot be the #1 on a championship team in New Orleans and the Lakers. Not to mention the constant injuries.

Injuries happen picks can get good.. But AD got to be worth 5 first rd picks if Bane is worth 4 anyway also Austin Reeves must be worth 4 now too.. I will also say giannis was the 15th pick and what was jokic..
disagree about the picks Suns are falling apart, so their picks could be great.. they were out of playin this year with whole roster, KD is gonna be traded now. As for Magic picks, many teams plans fall apart, remember when nets traded their picks to Boston? those picks turned out to be Brown and Tatum.. got Celtics a title..
