“This Isn’t The Formula To Get It Done.” | Chris Finch WCF Game 4 Postgame Sound | 05.26.25
ult to get over the hump tonight absolutely you know it’s they had 40 between the two you know you’re not going to beat a team like this um if you’re certainly turning it over 20 plus times and letting them have a bunch of second chance opportunities and we knew that so Shay and Jub just really had it in the fourth like what made it so difficult to defend and keep them from getting um you know they got to their spots and they they you know they rose up and made shots over us but we got to do a better job of trying to contain that first dribble like we did um game three did a much better job there so Chris you have a balance between Ant going off and given what the game gives him how do you think he played tonight um you know I thought uh second half was more aggressive he got downhill we got him off the ball a little bit more uh when he got to the paint I thought he found some people made the right plays um you know I think uh first half he lagged behind a little bit too much you know he needed to get out in front so we could stretch the floor and screen for him a bit um but uh second half was much better so Chris similarly what did you think of Julius tonight mhm yeah i mean it’s you know um didn’t have a great night obviously uh bench was really really good so I rolled with them uh you know those they were finding shots for each other uh they shot the ball extremely well from the three-point line um which you know we did a good job of finding those things um and uh you know that that’s the guys that we we chose to go with there so on the on the offensive rebounds was it from your vantage point a matter of of just effort or was it Yeah it was you know they they a lot of them hit first they rebounded well out of their area you know they came from distance to get stuff um you know I think some of them were long uh those you know those we were all trying to crack back and some of them were long and we weren’t able to get those particularly uh later in the game so it was a two-point game was the difference in a two- two series or 3-1 how do you kind of emphasis upon your guys that there’s still more series to play yeah for sure 100 you know 100% um but you know this isn’t the formula to get it done you know and I think that’s the most important thing to take away from tonight so Chris you mentioned pregame about the decision-m when you guys are making quick decisions those turnovers go down how much of that did you see in terms of Yeah they um you know we didn’t I didn’t think we started the game with that you know kind of mindset and mentality and imposing ourselves offensively um you know we turned it over seven times in the first quarter and a lot of those were just you know trying to play in traffic taking on matchups that um invited more you know attention and more of a crowd um and not kind of really going anywhere so Chris uh Nquille leads you guys in scoring and is taking on difficult defensive matchups just what’ you see from what he gave you yeah he had a great night you know he shot the ball well um he you know he got to the hoop he made the right play uh he battled at the tail off you know defensively um you know he’s outstanding he’s really been playing well of late so and Chris how about Dante just like what he gave you off the bench yeah really good again um it was good to see him out there knocking down the shots like you know um and again those guys really did a good job of finding each other moving the ball um and uh and they had really good looks as a result of it the defensive looks that you give Shay like how do you kind of make the decision in game whether throwing a couple at him or just kind of trying to go one-on-one and make it tough on him kind of individually that way what’s I mean he’s 13 for 30 you know i mean just obviously went to the line 14 times that’s too much but uh you know 13 for 30 is a pretty good uh defensive effort there when when it comes to um you know two-point percentage i know he’s really really good but um you know it’s it’s it’s the 16 for 37 from the three-point line that hurt us a lot more than the 13 for 30 did so Jaden came out really aggressive today just what kind of boost did he give you in that first quarter and is that something he can kind of do more throughout the game yeah he’s been doing a good job all series i mean he’s um he’s been really aggressive he’s he’s you know shot the ball well um and you know he’s had a matchup that he feels that he can take advantage of when the ball finds him so he’s he’s been doing doing a great job any other questions thank you

Should’ve played Clarke Naw TSJ Mcdaniels Minot lineup. Now you’re going to get eliminated. Bring in Mike Malone Arod!
Rebounds? Turnovers? Julius 5 points. Edwards 12 pts? That’s why you lost Finch. No need for a hissy fit about foul calls on shai this time lol the man had 32 with 6 free throw attempts
zero adjustment other than shoot better
okc been doing the same thing since gm1 to surround ant and no counter
new coach plz
TO MANY T.O. AND RUDY IS 7'2 and only getting 9 rebs get rid of him
having second thoughts about FINCH… we look underprepared
I keep hearing that Finch is a respected, good coach. But I have been saying for several years this team plays like a poorly coached team. They lack the discipline to win important games. And during the regular season they show that by losing to bad teams regularly.
Finch you have no idea on how to use in game substitutions
Edwards is overrated he doesnt come through when they. need it the most thats what superstars do! lackluster guy so far
I still don’t like the Townes trade. Who’s responsible for that decision?
Well the reffing was horrific and stopped any momentum we could muster up. Game changer.
Don’t feel bad you guys put up a good fight vs the best team in the league, thunder winning it all we gunna beat whoever makes it out the east too so don’t feel like you aren’t good you just aren’t good enough and nobody is
WHY DO YOU KEEP RESTRICTING MINUTES ON MIKE CONALY??!
Time for a new HC?
Some of those "turnovers" were ridiculous. The announcer would say "stripped" but on some of them they weren't getting ball at all. Just hitting the arms. Disrespectful to the guys that can actually strip the ball.
Ant needs a strong scorer to pair with and he is set
OKC is a better team-thats okay-I love this Wolves team
Finch is a great coach
OKC is a way better team
Love Edwards he will get that ring someday
too much time at maynards and not enough time on the game plan!
Wheres the cutting to the basket i never see any of that. Just drive and kick and waiting at the three point line. How can you have a greag offense when no one is moving and trying to get open
After we blew them out by 40, Adam Silver made the call.
“Refs, do your job to boost OKC.”
Time to let buddy go as a coach. He lacks game plan on offense an defense, you stopped doing what worked on defense an you can’t get Ant open shots. He isn’t running a midrange plays for him.
It's a wrap!!!
Ty to the bench y'all showed up and out Damn good job bench!!!
All he have to do is remind them of last years conference finals feeling after that loss to the mavs
Resign finch
Fire this guy. Not a fan of this team, but my god does this dude just bitch and moan instead of thinking about the actual issues. No wonder he crumbles in high-pressure situations.
