he said the three teams he would sign an extension to was reported last night were San Antonio Miami and Houston so the two Texas teams in Miami and I thought it was going to be San Antonio okay so where are you on that because a week ago you were heavy on San Antonio i was i think San Antonio has become very unpredictable for the next 12 months because I thought Fox was a lock to stay and I don’t know if it makes sense to have Harper and Fox on the same team and I wonder if they just take Harper at two they don’t do the Durant thing they trade Fox and they just kind of they don’t their windows not now basically they do the Durant thing that’s a different move because you’re you’re saying WBY Durant Fox number two pick our windows now and maybe they look at Dylan Harper highlights and videotape and every game for the last month they’re like our windows not now let’s build around Wimpy and Harper and figure out the rest later that’s why I’m a little cooled off i think that’s where he wanted to go initially and now I think he ends up in

Might be karma for Fox for forcing his way to a team and giving the Kings no assets; now the team he wanted may view him as expendable

The Spurs only make favorable trades. So yeah if the Suns come back and want Vassell/Barnes and the 14th pick and a couple of seconds the Spurs would probably take him, but they are not pushing their chips in on a 37 year old. They aren't giving Castle/Harper/Fox or meaningful trade assets for a guy with 2 good years left
Two years the Spurs targeted Fox. Two years they kept and gathered assets from Chicago and Sacramento and the draft to be ready to get Fox to San Antonio. You think Fox is on the trade block you're an idiot. The Spurs are locked in on Fox/Wemby as a pairing for at least his next 5 years

I feel like you’re either rolling the dice within Wemby’s final 2 years of his rookie deal OR, as they alluded to…. You work out what a Wembanyama Max (or even SuperMax) deal looks like from 2027-28 onwards and build a squad for 2 years from now, and try and project overall team salary taxes and aprons. Durant would just be a $55M/season rental. And Fox has one year left on his 2021 Max deal from the Kings so you need to be 100% on that one – if he stays, he gets a max…. And if they draft a replacement, you get out asap.
Trade fox and future 1sts for Giannis and then #14 and others for KD… Draft Harper at 2. Roll out Wemby, Giannis, KD Harper and Castle next year.
Whatever you want to say about his legacy, Kevin Durant has had a career unlike any other player in NBA history. Not sure if that's a good thing.

I feel like when you have undeniable talent like wemby, why waste time building only to risk losing him to injury again. I would hate to see Wemby turn out like Embiid where he's already worn down before the help ever comes.

They’d be stupid not to take Harper, they’d be so loaded to have 3 pgs with different play styles and see which one fits Wemby the best, why rush?

Unpredictable is right. Harper might be leverage & insurance in case Fox asks for the max. But that doesn’t explain the KD situation. Unloading Vassell’s contract would be huge. Trade for KD and if he wants the max, let him walk.

I’d go to Minnesota idc about the haul they’d have to give or maybe give Ant, KD, and Gobert are winning the title. All they need is a PG and they’ll find the depth
You can never have enough creators. Look at the teams in the finals – 6 or 7 of the starters on the court can create for themselves or others. Because of wembys versatility, the spurs can put 5 creators out there
