Indiana Pacers NBA Finals Media Availability | June 15, 2025

hey Tyres uh a couple years a couple of years ago in that uh first in season tournament run NBA cup run that you guys had we asked you about um how you guys got there and if LeBron was like the final monster of a video game or something like that um and you said that it felt like you guys weren’t supposed to be there like you guys were beating teams every time it feels like similar now to these playoffs how did that run help you guys uh get where you are now in this final two play of runs yeah I think every uh moment throughout our journey as a group is a stepping stone you learn from the good learn from the bad to get to where we are today so um you know all the good games all the bad games highscoring games low scoring games uh they’re all lessons at the end of the day uh to get to where we are today and uh here we are so um yeah it’s all part of the journey over here on the left Robert Okonnell Wall Street Journal tyrese You mentioned the other day uh in 2011 maybe not being the most massive Rick Carile fan is there that team the 2011 Mavs is going up against LeBron in the finals can you walk me through as a guy who grew up you know loving LeBron’s game what do you remember of watching that series the emotions the frustration of seeing them pull that upset uh was it maybe your first intro to what a Carile can do with an underdog team i really I really recall that being kind of like my first intro to like to like basketball like my earliest recollection of watching the game is like 2010 NBA so like um I feel like that was really the growth of uh me as a basketball fan and really starting to appreciate the game more um but yeah I don’t know if I necessarily remember a ton of like the X’s and O’s stuff i I remember I was confused as to why you know Dallas was winning i didn’t necessarily understand it um but yeah no I I think that it’s funny to look back on and think about you know I think think about that all the time in in my journey here in the NBA is you know how much I’ve watched and learned and how I’m now I’m here you know in it so um yeah know it’s funny to think back on and here I am with with Coach Carile now so it’s uh it’s definitely pretty cool vince on the right Tyrese Vince Goodwill Yahoo Sports this has been an emotional four games so far to this series a lot of swings with the way game four ended and the disappointment of it how do you flush that if you flush it at all how do you put that behind you mentally emotionally well I mean there’s still a lot of games to be played you know there’s still uh a lot that can happen i think uh you once you get to the playoffs I don’t think it’s so much about flushing things because you really got to take every game see where you did well see where you could do better and and and learn from that so I don’t I think in the regular season it’s different you play 82 games play a team game 10 that you probably don’t see again till game 60 so it’s just like all right flush it and move on to the next in the playoffs it’s a little different you don’t really get the the the right to to flush games you got to learn from everything um and watch the film and see where we can get better in every area so uh yeah game four didn’t end the way we wanted it to uh but you the biggest thing is you can’t let one spiral into two you know you can’t take the disappointment of of that game and let it be a snowball effect you know it’s it’s uh you got to be ready to go for game five here again a hostile environment and um you know the the we’re both two games away you know so um anything can happen from here and so you just got to kind of move on as quickly as you can see where you can get better watch the film which we’ve done a lot of over the last two days have a good practice today and uh get ready to go for tomorrow michael here Michael Grange from Sportsnet in Toronto and I’m just wondering for a young team what’s impressed you maybe even surprised you about the way your group has uh risen to the level of competition of fatigue that what’s demanded uh of teams trying to win a title here in the finals yeah there’s no no surprises to be honest with you i I know our group very well um you know I I I am proud of our resilience you know we’ve had to find different ways to win you know for the last like two three months so uh proud of that and we just continue to respond so um you know it’s it’s not the time to necessarily reflect on how the year’s been you know we still got uh a lot of work in front of us but definitely excited about our group and uh look forward to continue to compete with these guys tomorrow joe I know a lot of these sound similar but it’s a two- two series and I’m just wondering how you feel about where you are right now like whether you’re trying to handicap what’s happened or what’s to come or just how you feel about it uh I feel great i feel great uh you know that’s the best part about playoff series is uh you know when you get the chance to respond i think that’s the great thing about sports you know it’s uh you’re going to have good games you’re going to have bad games but there’s nothing like the game to respond you know so I look forward to doing that with this group and um you know coming out and competing and um you know we got to be ready for a a really big challenge that lies ahead with this with this team and in this environment so I’m really looking forward to doing that with my teammates and uh seeing you know how we respond tim on the left tyrese I know when you’re playing in it who’s watching doesn’t matter but one of the big storylines coming in was these are two quote small market teams whatever the ratings haven’t been great what would you tell people who for whatever reason chose not to watch this what they’re missing i do not care to be honest with you uh this is high level basketball and I’m excited to be a part of it so I mean I couldn’t care less we go last two on the right and then Alvo in the middle joseph Po clutch points uh Tyrese just um over the past few years what you’ve seen out of Aaron Neith you know just coming from a a younger player still trying to find his way in the league to the starter that he he uh he’s become and just some very impressive performances throughout this postseason just overall what you’ve seen from him uh throughout this time yeah I uh you know when we traded for DA I didn’t know a ton about him uh I knew we were we were in the same draft class and kind of always mentioned as like two of the top shooters in our class so I knew I knew that but I didn’t really know anything about him to be honest um and the more I’ve gotten to know him there’s not another guy out there that I’ that I’d rather go to war with you know to be honest with you he uh I know that he’s going to give 110% at all times uh he works his tail off to get to where he is and um you know I think I’ve said it many times but every NBA team wants to have a guy like Aaron Nesmith you know his his effort is unbelievable his energy his attitude um all those things you know I know he’s going to show up every day um and be the same guy and I think that’s what I appreci appreciate about him you know the most alvaro last one in the middle al Martin Ridmo every player I ask uh to reme to remember their best games their most outstanding games their games in which they did something on offense in your case you had almost had a triple double so they they they remember the stats even what are your best defensive games uh that you can remember and did we see one in these finals yeah that’s a it’s a funny question i’m not not necessarily known as a great defender uh you know I I don’t know i think any time or any game that I can just be in the right spots for us uh is important you know I think that you know through this playoff series especially uh game three I thought we did a great job defensively of closing the game so um for me I think uh I don’t really look at where I am individually as a defender it’s like team defensively you know I feel like more times than not if we’re having a good team defensive game I’m as solid as can be so that’s kind of how I try to look at it i hope that uh our best defensive e effort lies ahead you know that’s that’s that’s the goal so um yeah look forward to the challenge mark Spears ESPN’s Anandscape i want to ask you about Coach Mack guy that’s been standing outside the locker room for years years i know he’s always has some pleasantries to you just want to see what your thoughts are on him with who coach Mack uh outside the attendant outside the visiting locker room oh yeah i mean no it’s good good you know it’s great to have um and all the support you know like just just to have that you know is always amazing and um means a lot you know means a lot to us michael Pascal uh Michael Grange Sportsnet Toronto how are you doing good um I just wanted to ask you uh your team is a relatively young team and obviously in the finals for the first time uh what have you made of their ability to adjust to kind of manage the mental challenges just the rapid game plan changes all that stuff that goes into playing good teams over and over again um you’ve been through it but just standing aside have you seen your team manage it and and why do you think they’ve managed it well yeah no I think um obviously I think that that the experience from last year was was great for us um just in being those like in those games that that mattered a lot and um and I think we’ve learned a lot from those games and um and just being now at this stage like I I I just think that we’ve had like those games under our belts where the guys feel comfortable that um when we haven’t done things well you know we we’re able to correct it so uh I think that experience is there and and and and we’ve been in those situations enough for us to understand you know like what it takes dan Dan Deany Yahoo Sports um you’ve been guarded by Alex Caruso a lot in this series uh similarly kind of versatile player to you can do a lot of different things on the floor what kind of challenges does he pose when you’re facing up with him and seeing more of him down the stretch last game i know you guys got stagnant in the fourth what kind of challenges does he pose um I I I don’t know i think we just got to keep keep playing um being ourselves and um yeah just just play pace of basketball steve on the right uh Steve Ashurner NBA.com uh certain foul calls or non- calls seem to get into fans heads quite a lot and they get upset by what goes against their team how do you guys guard against calls that you particularly disagree with getting into your heads and and derailing what you’re trying to do we just got to keep playing um there’s nothing you can do about it right so it’s just we just got to got to keep playing um find a way to you know be ourselves no matter what and um and yeah like I I’m not going to get into you know the little foul things it is what it is um just want to focus on the game over here on the left um China paces Stockcom um in the last game post conference you said the team execution is not really well in the fourth quarter and after the film session what was the key takeaway for you to improve wait say one more time sorry i Yeah the last game that in the end of press conference said um the execution was really well was not really well so what in the room session what was the key takeaway for you the team to improve in this game um yeah i don’t think I’m supposed to be giving away the game plan but um no I think we just got to be ourselves yeah I don’t know how to answer that question but I’m sorry sam on the right sam A the athletic Pascal your your teammates talk a lot about your leadership and how vocal you are in this team i wonder if you go back to 2019 in Toronto how different were you as a leader back then and how vocal were you on that team and and how much did that experience you know they talk about how you bring that up now telling them like don’t take this for granted realize what the opportunity is how how did that shape you well I was in a leader then I mean I on the floor I mean I played you know I was one of the guys you know one of the guys that would you know go and um get get things happen for us but off the cro I mean I was year three like I mean we had so many veterans on our teams like that’s been through way more than I could ever imagine as a player so I was I was mostly just like you know grateful that I had those guys around and um just kind of lean into the the confidence and the way they played to to to to help me just just play my game and and be free and I think this time around just like having been one of the only guys that’s that’s been there or like one of the few guys that’s been there um and I’m year nine or 10 or whatever it’s like I have way more you know to to say and and I can um impact not only by saying things but also on the floor um but but just just having years under my belt and and also the experience like I’m able to just again say what I think but at the same time I always say like everyone’s going to have to get through it you know on their own and um I can tell you whatever but you have to experience it yourself and and and I think the most thing is just be yourself and do the things that got us here in the first place and and we can’t change it now jamal on the right pascal I want to ask you about the the defense uh and just in this year and change since you’ve been here how have you seen this group grow defensively and just what did it take for you all to get to the level that you’ve been playing at you know in the finals and just throughout the playoffs yeah I think it’s you know I think just from when I first got here you know like most of the narrative was like oh yeah like they play fast they don’t play defense right like that’s that was the thing and um I’ve seen the just the growth of everyone you know like um the coaches been doing an awesome job preparing us for games um and everyone is willing to um to put the effort the effort in and and also I think when you see the results you know like from the defense you know like you you have no choice but to commit to it and um I think the guys have been tremendous i I can name so many guys you know obviously Drew as like a kind of like the leader where like he’s going to guard the best player every single night we got double A um you know Miles blocking shots like we have so many people that can do so many things but it’s mostly a team defense and um everyone is committed to it I’ll say third your last question uh Pascal considering how the game four ended I think it’s fair to say that Indiana missed a good opportunity to go up 3-1 in this series uh considering this is a final series that can be so exhausting in a long series uh do you thinking uh skipping your coal is uh uh the right way to uh to do right now wait doing what is the right way to to to be relaxed to to forget all the things that No I mean we got to move on right like it’s like we have a game tomorrow so um I think we got to understand what’s at stakes at stake here and um as much as we want to win I’m sure that the guys over there want to do the same so every game is going to be a battle and um I I don’t really look at things like that way of like oh missed opportunity or whatever like we all go into this wanting to win and and sometimes you’re going to win sometimes you’re going to lose and I think I I we just got to move on and and that’s something that we’ve been good at is just moving on to the next um and no matter what the odds are and and no matter what it is like we always believe in ourselves and and we go out there and we give the our best and and we live with the results so um I don’t look at anything in in life as like a misopre i just know that there’s always something that’s coming up and we just got to believe and move on to the next and um do everything that we’ve been doing to get to to where we at today so um we’re going to keep doing that first question Joe here in front hey Rick happy Father’s Day yeah you too yeah thank you uh I remember at the early in the Cavs series DA asked you about why there is no momentum in playoff series you guys had a good discussion about it but applying that to now when you’re in the finals and it’s 2-2 and you had the loss that you had does the fact that that games don’t seem to carry over does that make moving on from what happened easier to get ready for game five i’m not sure I understand what your question is that is that Say it again the fact that there is there doesn’t seem to be momentum that carries over from one game to to the next in a playoff series does that make it easier then to move on from as tough of a loss as you had in game four i I don’t know i think there’s momentum i mean it’s hard to exactly gauge i think maybe some of it fades with longer stretches between games but you know between three and four was one day um I thought we had I thought there was momentum there i thought we played well for three quarters and then struggled in the fourth and so and had a much better start in that game so I don’t know it’s not you know haven’t given it a lot of thought it’s kind of you know for us and for the coaching staff and the players it’s analyzing momentum is um not really part and parcel to what’s going on like right now you know and having to do a better job going and getting the ball off the boards and you know and avoiding fouls and um and things like that so but it’s an interesting question second row on the left product from China paces.com how’s Jarvis Rocka doing will he be able to practice today no he he’s um he’s doing better he’s he’s off crutches and he’s walking um with with a slight limp now so it’s it’s very unlikely that he’ll be able to play in this series um but he is doing better and it it would be great if he was available because I I do think he would help us next row back in the left from ESPN Brazil Pascal Sakan last game we had a great first three quarters with 20 points but uh who’s that sakan oh yeah yeah but he had only one shot in the last quarter uh what was the problem that you guys couldn’t find him in in the rhythm to to make him keep playing yeah talked about it yesterday um that can’t happen um he’s a guy that you know if we’re not playing through him he needs to touch the ball more u problems that hindered us in the fourth quarter were inability to rebound the ball um unnecessary fouls you know those things have us taking the ball out of bounds after they score or having to take it out after a free throw and then then they can really set their defense and then you know the game becomes slower um so you know those doing better in those two areas the rebounding and the and the fouls I mean that that will help us but it’s a challenge i mean they put a lot of pressure on you in the fourth quarter i mean they’ve got they’ve got some great great players that you know cause major problems next back hi Coach Tensson from China uh so you were up double digit at one point in the third quarter and had control of the game for mo most part of the game and then but in the force you were out score 31 to 17 and then eventually you lost the game how much does that kind of a loss affect the team mentally or physically especially in the playoff series and how much of a role do you think officiating played in the last game well I mean tough losses um are a part of a playoff series and you know it’s just you know if if this was easy I mean they’d be pulling people off the street to play in the NBA finals you know and coach it’s just not and do what you guys are doing i mean you guys are the best in the world you know everybody else here is perceived to be the best in the world at this moment and so um it’s difficult you know so um but you you you look at it you take it for what it is and it becomes pretty clear the things that you need to to do to to be better and our job you know as a staff is to take those things simplify them communicate them in a in a simple concise way and so that we can do better and so um you know that’s it as far as officiating i think I think it’s awful what I some of the things I’ve seen about about the officiating um and Scott Foster in particular i’ve known Scott Foster for 30 years he’s a great official he’s done a great job in these playoffs we’ve had him him a lot of times and the rid the ridiculous scrutiny um that’s being thrown out there is is terrible and and and unfair and unjust and stupid on your right Sam i read Sam Amik the athletic i had a Pascal question but but now you have me curious i when you’re in the middle of the finals I don’t know your your consumption habits what came your way in terms of Scott and the commentary that I’m not getting into it i’ve said what I’m going to say okay you have another question ask it if not we’ll move on uh I’ve heard that you were a fan of Pascal long before you guys obviously went out and targeted him when did he first cross your desk as a guy that you thought was special uh and then once you got him in the building I wonder as a leader he just talked about it a minute ago just what have you seen from him beyond his talent as a leader with your group well he’s just he’s extremely versatile i mean I don’t know was Dwayne Casey the coach when they drafted him i think he may have been and Dwayne Dwayne did a great job of developing him and they they had him with the 905 in the in the G-League and you know he really had to earn his way and and as as you watch a guy’s career as he um as he ascends you know coaches take note of the steps that players have had to take to get to where they are and I I always thought that the fact that he had to really earn it um and that he had continued to get so much better so much better and you know appeared to have this humility about how he approached everything just made him very special and so you know year and a half ago now when when we had the chance to to trade for him there was no doubt to me that he would fit into our team and adjust to our system um but frankly there was no doubt to me that he would fit into any team any style um and play at an extremely high level and so we’re fortunate to have him um his experience is has been a major part of the growth of our team and our young young guys uh over the last two years and you know we’ve we’ve just we’ve just got to make sure that you know he gets more than one shot in the fourth quarter and that that he’s touched the ball more jamal last question on the right rick I want to ask you about your defense and the growth that you guys have had really in the last since the start of last year till now just what did it take for you guys to get to the level that you’re playing at during the finals and throughout the playoffs well it’s been it’s been a first it was a decision that this is important and we had to get the players to cosign on it and and they did and it just we just went to work you know and and I mean this was December of I guess it was 23 when we kind of had that moment of you know this offensive barrage is not going to hold up which we were putting on in the whole league you know and and so um we went to work um Jenny Busk has been a big part of this um her and Jim Bolan uh work work our defensive stuff you know Jenny’s um the one during games that that is um charge of matchups changing defenses all kinds of stuff and and she’s done she did an amazing job and it’s not just it’s not just the coaching of it there there’s a there’s a relationship building element that’s absolutely critical to to recruiting a group of players young players over to your way of thinking when it comes to something like defense that um you know in in today’s age of of young players and development this is not something that um players in in the AAU level are leaning into saying you know I can’t wait to get in there and do the shell drill you know and do things like that you know so um we have exceptionally great guys on our team as does Oklahoma um Oklahoma’s been building their defensive thing you know for for many years now and they’ve done a they’ve done a terrific job um but if we were going to ever get to this point um our defense had to get better and and and Jim and Jenny have have had great had great impact on that thank you coach with the data digested how do you guys respond and how do you feel about emotionally about giving away that chance and still having um you know emotionally to pass it you know seeing Mr finals is about about response um can’t dwell on it too much you know task ahead and um it’s all the little things i mean um I think we did enough you know offensively you know to win that game you know it’s about making our minor adjustments to move forward chef said little things too and I asked him about those last four minutes did you notice anything specific that you look back like we needed to do this or that better to close down let’s continue to keep playing fast keep playing with pace you know it’s a it’s how we play it’s how we made our mark so it’s uh you know just not not coming off our principles have you recovered how are you feeling now compared to Yeah I’m all right man there’s no excuse this time of the year it is what it is you know people get sick all the time you know um you know it’s you can’t stop the train from rolling so just take what it is do my medicine get rolling what do you think is the pressure right now which team has more pressure right now with three games in front of you um I don’t like to look at it that way you know i think it’s just a um which team has more pressure you know i mean we’re both feeling pressure you know we both got to go out there and perform so just a matter of going out there and just uh you know making the m of the moment but do you think this game five is similar than game one they’re playing at home uh you mean you you can It’s 0 yeah you know you say that it’s 0 0 again in the Cincinnati series miles you guys have been so good after losses we talked about this streak for like three months now you guys haven’t lost back to back just what has this team continued to do to make adjustments after L’s and come back and bounce back um I think we play better you know with our backs as well um adversity is something that um you know is going to make bring out the best in you so u I think that’s really what it is just a response is that the same thing though you guys are down 15 17 in some of these games you come back and just this team almost needs a thumb on it a little bit to just the push yeah know at times I mean like again you know when your back’s against wall is typically when um I guess the way we’re made up of our backs against the wall is typically where I get our best basketball so yeah other questions i made this really easy thank you you guys made out of nowhere beat the buzzer bro i was looking I was looking up a step my bad uh you guys made winning on the road just seem easier than obviously it is to do this postseason what is the key to winning winning road games especially on this stage um steppp in the moment you know really realize what it is you know it’s a hostile environment and um you know again I think um it’s what you dream of you know what I mean playing in environments like such you know for the highest things possible so I think that’s really what it is you know we come together you know and um you know when moments get tough and um you know figure it out um I know you guys had film today without revealing too much obviously what was like the mantra the mentality going into that room that you guys like talk about yeah I mean there’s just stuff that we need to clean up obviously um don’t want to divulge too much information but um we can play harder we can play better um and there’s things that we can fix and we will third game here in Oklahoma City uh you guys kind of look back at game one and what did you kind of like see from that examples and talk about um you know you you don’t want to kind of go back to the past um you know you want to look what you can clean up and obviously there’s some stuff that you can take away but um you know you look at what we did last game and um fix some stuff um but you know we we obviously won here in game one um but this is an amazing crowd and we know the what the atmosphere is got to be is going to be like so we have to be ready given that circumstance it’s the first time you guys are two and two throughout the whole postseason does anything change at all how do you next game yeah I mean we just we just got to continue to be who we are but to another level um both offensively and defensively go ahead DJ um well with the 76ers you work the Lindes now you you working with Jenny years can you it was fun actually watch you guys warm up in Philadelphia I went there many times and can you trace a comparison not between them but the evolution of women being involved in the NBA right now I mean I feel like breaking barriers is it’s amazing what’s going on um you know right now um working with Lindsay was something that I cherish and still cherish to this day um when I was in Philly uh we are still close to this day and obviously me and Jenny have a special relationship um you know those two are incredible human beings um and incredible coaches um who have just been amazing to everyone they’ve encountered yeah so about your game uh you come to the the courts when you come from the bench or whatever where you study it feels like you want to put the house on fire i mean seriously and how do you get the grip you know what happens to you when you come it’s something that you prepare for the coaches prepare you for um I think it’s just for me I feel like I’m a different person off the court than I am on the court i go to another place competitively um and just try to bring an insane amount of energy and get our crowd into it get get our teammates energized and um just try to change the game yep what does it do for you guys when you’re able to create some chaos on the court when you I mean injecting chaos I feel like is good um you know it it changes the game obviously sometimes it can go against you but when you can change a game and you know from just playing hard and creating chaos um other guys it’s it’s uh infectious so um I mean I that’s really my I have a long long answer but just being able to change a game in that way is pretty effective people here in Oklahoma City some media people here have said “Oh they look uncharacteristic against you guys.” But it seems like everyone you play in the playoffs look uncharacteristic from that chaos standpoint how do you guys live so well there where you seem to be controlled when everyone else isn’t um I I feel like our coaching staff does a good job of establishing that chaos in practice and the way we want to play and um you know that’s that’s really it you know Rick has done an amazing job and his staff has done an amazing job of establishing a culture and a and a style of play that is hectic it’s up and down and um you know it’s it it might not be pretty at times but it works so um credit to them tj we talked to you guys so much about ability to respond throughout these playoffs this is the most extreme version of that after a heartbreaker like that and it’s the finals what do you guys have to do differently the same to do that again i think you said it we we have to respond um I think we’ve done a good job of that throughout the playoffs um of responding after a loss and we’re going against a great team so we obviously have to clean stuff up but we have to take things to another level and like you said just have a response how long did you feel like you caught yourself soaking after one like that the team collectively doing that versus bouncing back mentally yeah I think in a win and a loss um there’s the high of the win and then the low of the loss but you’ve got to flush it the next day and I feel like we did a good job of you know flushing the win but obviously it didn’t work out the next game we’ve got to flush the loss and we’ve done a good job of that as well what did feel about that fourth quarter that got away from you guys especially late yeah I mean don’t want to get too much into it but just uncharacteristics uncharacteristic stuff from us um that we need to clean up and and be better and there’s another level we can go to sorry i know hey TJ happy happy father’s day what was it uh what was it like growing up with your dad as your coach impact your basketball yeah I mean I appreciate it um I wouldn’t be here playing in this league without without him he’s been my coach since I could dribble a basketball all the way up till high school so I owe so much to him and I mean I feel like you guys see the way I play um it’s it’s because of him he was incredibly tough on me and expected a lot from me and I didn’t understand it at the time but um he saw something in me and wanted to continue to push me and um now I’m I’m just so grateful and and love him so much for it in terms of bouncing back after game four what’s been the mentality you guys saw film today without revealing any secrets what’s been going to get just going out there and uh being relentless you know we know what we have to improve we know what we have to you know focus on going to the next game and we just have to execute any other questions yeah what else did you learn from the last game and like some things that you want to make better into coming into game we just got to be better with leads be better with lease take care of the ball and we just got to play play Pacers basketball that’s the most important thing and I know just going back to game one you won here what’s you know the things that you want to take from that game one going into this game as well just uh our aggressiveness you know our aggressiveness and you know our um us being relentless going to the game was the most important thing you know we were able to adjust uh you know after the first quarter but we have to be able to to to throw the first punch tomorrow what is the key to win this game tomorrow morning tomorrow night uh play as hard as we can where do you think is the pressure right now which team has more pressure now pressure um that’s a hard question i don’t think it’s pressure i don’t think pressure is the right way well we don’t feel pressure you know and I think it’s just about you know the the team that’s going to be able to commit the last mistakes and take care of the ball the most is going to be the team who wins the game do you feel this um this is a zero series right now this game five is similar that game one that you won here no it’s a new game it’s a new game um you know what happened inside the pool but That was a situation playing here with the fans you won you already won in that situation i mean we we played here before we won here before i think that um like I said for us tomorrow’s is 0 all we got to do is win next game i was just wondering if you guys went over two already if you did what were some things that you noticed especially in that fourth quarter uh without saying too much we just have to be we have to play paces basketball you know until the you know the time ends and I think that we have to be able to um take care of details in these playoffs is there anything you can draw from uh just understanding it’ll only be us in the building tomorrow and understand we got to bring our own energy and fight from the beginning is there anything else that you guys have taken away from that fourth quarter in game four that you guys can maybe Yeah that’s it though how do you how do you you get up off the I know you guys have responded to losses every time but that’s on this stage as tough as it gets uh yeah I mean we’re a resilient group we’ll be ready to go tomorrow you know we take our lumps we learn from them and you know we’ll be better game versus uh rest of the night you know you watch the game back and you realize what you could do better what you would do differently and um you know you just got to live without regret so we’re going to learn from those mistakes call it little things in that late fourth quarter stretch what did you see the same thing how did you cut yeah little things getting stops rebounds fouls um all the controls seven wins this postseason road half your wins how have you guys made winning road look easier uh I think it’s just you know a testament to our group how close we are understand once again we are the only ones in that room for each other um and we just have a few of them have you found it to be more difficult as a series has gone on you guys further in the playoffs uh yeah i mean this is all this is a tough going play you know there’s a lot of and we understand that i think we just the more you understand the better prepared for it you know what do you think is the pressure right now it still has more pressure now with just three games um I mean every game is the most one game and you know at this time in the season so I think pressure is equal and this game five is probably similar than game one in terms that they’re playing at home uh you already won that game zero yeah pretty much uh you know it’s the best of three series now you know they got home court um brand new series like I said pretty much like a new game one easy through the film and seeing how everything kind of unfolded there late how some things just kind of unfortunately slipped away there at the end yeah it was a little tough you know obviously um close game felt like we could have won it but um adjustments to be made and things to get better at and um new opportunity ahead of us tomorrow knowing how good a job you were doing on SGA and getting switched off him at times how frustrating was that for you just individually not frustrating because I’m not looking at it as a personal matchup or vendetta in any way it’s uh it’s about our team and getting it done um so I think we we’re going to look to do better in that in the future um I think it took me until the morning you know we regrouped as a team got together talked about some things and um got to have a got to have a quick memory amnesia with these types of things you know it’s uh big big game you know a lot of emotion goes into it so but try to flip the switch the next day for sure that’s a thing about you Uh I think the resolve of our whole coaching staff and in our whole in our in our team you know we have a tight-knit group who um in times when it gets tough comes closer and and um refocuses our minds in the right places has anything about this finals experience kind of caught you a little off guard in terms of physicality or fatigue level the noise yeah as to this is the finals um I wouldn’t say so honestly i think this is now probably our sixth or sub playoff series together and I think the series are similar you know they’re tough they’re going to be adjustments every game there’s a lot of um emotional ups and downs of winning and losing so I think it’s come with it the last six series i was asking just like does that summer experience of an Olympic tournament did it feel like an NBA playoff series or did any of those lessons from that kind of scrutiny prepare you make you a little bit better yeah I think the Olympics with how it’s just a one game thing uh the possessions mean so much everything is just detail oriented and very it’s got to be precise and um I think that that that carries over very well into into the playoffs yeah pressure from now who has more pressure um I’m not really sure i haven’t really thought about the pressure of it um we’re more just worried about the next game and how we can compete to win similar in that it’s in Oklahoma City uh it’s going to be a tough game to win i mean uh we got to be tightknit together we have to weather the storms of the of the crowd and the momentum um and it’s not going to be easy yeah I mean I think we feel I think we feel comfortable i think it’s you know long time ago so talk to me about the intensity talk about the intensity um it’s it’s intense i mean this is the the top of the top competition you know guys are playing hard there’s there’s everything to win and there’s everything to lose you know so um we’re just out there trying to compete and um play as hard as possible get things done you know when the last time you talked to just Yeah I think I talked to him before the playoffs when we played him over here um trying to get those shoes other than that n I mean any loss it it motivates us to to play good but uh like we definitely we definitely feel like we gave that one away in the fourth quarter um but like I said we just we we’re watching film getting better from it and uh we’ll see how tomorrow goes faster um it’s just certain adjustments being made uh all the coaches is watching film seeing what they’re attacking us on defense like when we’re on defense what they’re doing attacking us what they’re getting um and even offensively what we’re doing wrong offensively um and like I said we was playing a little bit slower in the fourth quarter not playing our type of our brand of basketball and and that’s why we didn’t play so well in the fourth so uh like I said we going to just look at the film get better from all these games and and go into this game tomorrow uh hopefully getting a win yeah we just got to go out there and be dogs uh and come get this win um we know we coming into a hostile environment uh they have they have great fans we have we have the best fans though but uh coming in here uh with a fan base uh we just got to come in here be our team or be ourselves and be resilient where do you think is the pressure right now which team has more pressure in this pressure uh I don’t I don’t really know who has has more pressure it’s it’s 002 or 22 uh so it’s an even score it’s just the first to win two games um but I don’t think it’s pressure i just feel like we just got to go out there and do our job this game is probably similar game one at the end uh yeah uh we try to go into every game though with the mentality to come in here just be dogs and and get a win um we we gave up that that game four uh loss uh we gave it to them so if we just got to come in here and get this win tomorrow

  1. There you go Obi! Let the Dawgs loose tomorrow. Visualize a win. See the game in your mind. See yourself reacting to the good and bad. Focus on each moment as it comes. You guys got this. Time to go up 1-0. Go Pacers!!

  2. I don't know if it's me or not Nesmith hit three shots when they are being led.He seems to be aggressive when they are in deficit but when they are leading he starts to miss them.May be his sense of urgency get down when leading.I want him to aware of that.Lets go pacers

  3. Not even gonna speak on SGA and Jalen Williams. They will get theirs.
-Don't let Caruso score 20 or more off the bench. Stop this guy! He's turned into Klay Thompson!
-No more Dort three's!!!! He has a slow release and will only shoot them if super wide open.
-Don't let Wiggins score like he scored in game 2.
Achieve all these goals and the Pacers will have a chance.

  4. Guys lock in make the score difference so big tomorrow that even the referees cheating won’t help okc. Lock in and stay poised. Real basketball fans saw wat happened in game 4 and are behind you guys. Be dogs and get it

  5. Carlisle's bromance with Scott Foster puzzles me….I wonder what he includes in the 2 minute report…..Let's call a spade a spade

  6. mfs in the comments wanna blame the reffs but wont complain how they werent able to get in the paint cause they got locked up and mathurin blowing his FTS pathetic fans now i really hope okc blow yall out tomorow

  7. These reporters need to step up their game…some of the dumbest questions, over and over. No wonder players give them pat scripted answers

  8. We need to see TJ and Mathurin play big again. Miles gotta stop bricking 30 footers. Take it to the rim!!!

  9. Pacers should go big this game with
    Haliburton
    Nesmith
    Saikam
    Turner
    Bryant
We still have shooting but we have rebounding and more rim protection

  10. Pacers in 6/7
    100%
    It’s over for okc
    They don’t have legs anymore
    shai is dead tired
    chet is injured tired

Pacers play together as a team
    Indiana Pacers in 6/7

  11. I still believe you can do this! Both half way so treat like every game last, it ain't over till the series over at 0 on the last game, Lets go pacers 💪

  12. For me, if Hali can overcome the defense on him as early as 1st Quarter then Indiana will prevail on Game 5. The sense of urgency on him will be the key to win this one and team effort will flow the whole game. May the result be in Indiana's favor. Let's Go Cer's 🔥

  13. Love our whole team but you think it was some negotiation behind the scenes for us to go over we are some dogs don’t get me wrong and we should be up 3-1

  14. Down the stretch Hali was playing hero ball with those airball step back 3s. When the game slows down take the ball to Pascal because he is the only player on this team who can create a double team.

  15. The question to our athetes and coached were so imbecillic. Frankly the foriegn press asked less stupid questions. I think in nba finals you may not ask a question unless you actually played the sport.

  16. 1 Corinthians 12:12-31 let's not lose sight of the true goal. It's easy to get wrapped up in competition and allow other things to provoke us to act the way of the world. CHANGE THE GAME! GLORIFY HIS NAME.

  17. I would think that OKC has much more pressure on them overall, as one of, if not the most, favored teams ever to win the championship. Like, if they blow it, that will haunt all of them for the rest of their lives. So really that's quite an advantage for the Pacers, to play loose and free and just have fun, and that could help them win it too.

  18. Spurs fan here i think yall win game 5 and the series only thing is Nembhard gotta defend j dub to secure the W

  19. you can tell they’re pissed, chips on everybody’s shoulders is a bad sign for that thunder team. we’re a hell of a team without a chip on our shoulder, we’re unstoppable with a chip on our shoulders. terrible officiating but we shouldn’t have left the game up to officiating in the first place
