Kevin Durant’s Fresh Start with the Brooklyn Nets
durant’s decision to join the Brooklyn Nets in 2019 was seen as a fresh start and a chance to build something new alongside Kyrie Irving and later on with his previous teammate James Harden durant sat out the entire 2019 2020 season recovering from a torn Achilles injury but thanks to this injury expectations skyrocketed the following year and once James Harden was traded to Brooklyn in January 2021 the Nets instantly became title favorites despite these expectations the trio couldn’t seem to stay healthy for long enough to play an extended amount of regular season games with each other let alone long enough to compete in the playoffs in fact it was that bad that the trio of Durant Kyrie and Harden played just 16 games together over 3 years but when all three of them were on the court together they were extremely dominant with a net rating of +3.3 and an offensive rating of 119.6 six
