i don’t think he’s on their timeline i think that a lot of this is just going to take a lot of time and if I was that Philly front office if I was Daryl my be worried that he is somebody that’s just a project right now i don’t know how great Ace is going to be at coming in and playing like real minutes and helping you win this year i think he has a lot of room for growth i think he’s definitely going to be like a real NBA player for quite a long time but I don’t know that I see this year being wildly successful and this is a year where Philly and that front office has to

Joel is a ticking time bomb. Pick someone to help you survive that eventuality. A guy with this upside and 3 position ability is a no brainer. This is a wing league not a busted ball stopping center and tiny scoring PG league.
This is a goofy take, if you have Embiid, George, maxey, grimes abd mccain you don’t need ace to rush his development or be a star right away, when George and Embiid are gone it’s a core of ace, maxey McCain and grimes
I don't care about the Embiid/George timeline, those guys aren't going to be the leaders on this team when they're ready to win anyway. Pick the guy with the highest upside who also fills a position of need (I realize we have George but you'll need someone to play SF when PG inevitable misses 2/3 of the season again.)
Its very rare that any 18 year old steps in and helps lead a team deep in the playoffs his first year. Its not reasonable to expect that, even of Flagg. Ace would be the #5 or #6 option on the Sixers. There is time to let him grow
What timeline? Joel isn’t going to all of a sudden get healthier as he ages. If you have an opportunity to take a young talent like Ace Bailey, then you do it.
