NBA LIVE! Oklahoma City Thunder at Indiana Pacers LIVE – NBA Finals Game 5 I June 16, 2025 2K Live
in the NBA this figures to be a lowcoring affair but it should be an entertaining one Kevin and if you’re a fan of high intensity high energy defense there’s a lot to love about this matchup here’s the starting group for the Indiana Pacers the perimeter pairing with Nemard and Matan seakim is the four and he’ll be next to Turner at the five and it’s Hallebertton in at the point guard and it’s Williams finishing it off and despite the size disadvantage attacking the heart of that defense you know what guys honestly I didn’t think he’d win that battle i mean that’s a lot of height to give up now here’s Turner hallebertton outside just five to shoot that shot misses and it’s Williams with the ball for the Thunder the rebound by Turner and it’s Indiana’s ball defeated by the Wizards in their last game they’ll try to put that one behind them actually I thought they might be able to sustain that momentum that they picked up in the fourth quarter but was not meant to be and foul on the shot so he’ll get a chance at the line seems like every time Greg we see Tyrese Hallebertton he’s wearing a big smile on his face talk about a guy who just loves this game hallebertton is such an enthusiastic player and that positive attitude really infects his entire team that’s good from Hallebertton tyrese Hallebertton is flatout special clark and you say it all the time he is an absolute machine on offense he really is an orchestrator a maestro of platinum level capability his turnover numbers outstanding he’s a guy that flirts with the 50 40 90 shooting splits and is going to lead the league in assist I think a better part of his career going forward that’s how good he is and what an advantage you really feel like you can always trust him when he’s at the line jordan against Matan from 10 ft out off the left rim and out you know they don’t score on that shot but they’re going to be happy with those kinds of possessions [Applause] outside Turner i got to help and a wide open look for Hallebertton off the mark there with the three-point shot hard to figure out how he doesn’t knock that one down no defender in sight williams passes Dart and the basket is good and he’s got a chance here for one more at the line boy you’ve got to appreciate the passing there results and a great look the Thunder shooting their first free throw of the evening and and when you got a team percentage of about 81% uh you’re going to be one of the elites in this league guys that says a lot about the poise of this team i mean they’ve been so calm cool and consistent at the stripe this year i mean that’s impressive [Applause] just about two minutes into the game first quarter basketball pass to Turner over Hardenstein and Turner the bucket on the assist by Hallebertton watch out now when this guy gets into a rhythm it is something to behold dort against Matan offensive rebound the Pacers have gone one of three from the field to start this one so far Nemhard the pass to Seakum turner with a screen on Caruso mathan finds Turner and contact on the shot so he’ll be shooting free throws here last season Miles Turner became the Pacers all-time leader in block shots that’s a pretty impressive feat when you consider some of the Pacers who’ve played there historically germaine O’Neal Rick Smith Roy Hbert come on now great work by Miles Turner so we need to give him his flowers now and I think he’s going to continue to add to that shot block total ties it up and this next one could give them the lead yeah you know he’s become a solid big man in this league miles Turner understands his role and is starring in it and does a really good job I think playing to his strengths [Applause] good and that drops so they now lead by one there has been a lot of discussion about the length of the NBA season GA do you think 82 games is the right number well I do it’s worked well for over 50 years so why change it and if we do change it it affects records and how we compare the game across eras and Mark Dagnel calls timeout here he wants to check in with his team and regroup let’s see the stat sheet here for Alex Caruso on defense the Pacers here’s Williams it’s good for a second make he’s made two of three so far boy he is looking confident love how they’re using him so far and you know what they’re going to keep using him i mean he’ll be the centerpiece of their offense today you can bank on that hallebertton and Vases to Matherine inside and finished off by Seakkum a highlevel athlete with underrated burst seakum continues to impress with his ability to finish now here’s Dors 14 points from him the last game against Memphis turner with the steel now here’s Matan the fast break chance and it’s good for two and using that body to his advantage matine will learn to control his strength as he grows in the league hallebertton against Gilis Alexander williams looking over the floor to the paint a nice shot by Hartinstein hartinstein’s got his second bucket of the night and once he got to the 10 I think he was surprised to find himself that wide open well this early they should be showing a lot more energy on defense it’s not there thunder trailing by three outside Gilis Alexander hardenstein with a screen on Hallebertton tries from the block the kick out to Williams screen by Hartinstein six on the shot clock tries yet again shooting foul as the whistle blows he’ll shoot two free throws no question he got bumped on that shot yeah the officials didn’t need to talk that one over it was obvious the Thunder have gone one for one making their previous attempt at the line rebound that free throw good from Hartinstein top and he’s jacked in for Miles Turner i got to push it on the miss swish it on the miss the rebound he hits one and misses one each at the line clark when you think of siblings who have played in the NBA the Lopez brothers and now the Toppen brothers come to mind can only imagine how cool a feeling that is to be able to play in the NBA with your brother it’s a dream come true for anybody to get to the highest level of pro basketball and then to have a couple of players from the same family doing it together come on man doesn’t get any better than that here’s Dort following the score by Indiana pass to Hartenstein on the wing gilis Alexander he’s covered by Hallebertton and that’ll be two free throws coming up officials on the call with the foul it goes on Tyrese Hallebertton and able to get himself to the line sga so crafty inside there to get the contact this is his first free throw of the game and you know guys he had a big game at the free throw line in their last outing a matter of fact a lot of his points came from the stripe he was feeling it you know there’s been some improvement in his free throw shooting this year his percentage has taken a little jump compared to last season first one falls for him and this guy just does everything scores passes good rebounder just an allaround terrific basketball player diligious Alexander hits them both and so Seakum will bring it up for Indiana hallebertton outside pass to Matan jin sets a screen for Matan good on the three-point shot matan’s got five and with each made three Matan’s confidence rises an encouraging sign and while we’ve got a moment let’s send it over to our terrific reporter David david thanks very much i was able to talk with Mark Dagnold for a minute now in talking about Tyrese Hallebertton I wanted to know about the strategy for him out there coach said Hallebertton is so quick and such a deaf ball handler i think it just comes down to keeping up with him matching his pace not letting him get one step ahead so that’s the game plan back to you thank you David now here is Hallebert you saw him go on a scoring rampage last game stay there dort against Matan no good that time nice defense from Dort thunder trailing by five here’s Caruso here’s Hartinstein lays it up off the glass hartinstein’s got his third basket of the night right there and you can see he’s got a little bounce in his step three out of four to start here’s Neard defended by Caruso the three near shot is good oh this is the kind of start they were hoping for yeah shots falling off to a very good start offensively as a result [Applause] williams against Toppen gil Alexander and it goes down two points and good work inside sga will make more room for himself on the perimeter when he can be effective down low on the wing mathan defended by Dorch and he’s going up for the Luke and Toppin throws it down toppin is a Skywalker obie insane verticality [Applause] hallebertton against Gilas Alexander hits the layup after the sweep pump fake to freeze the D gil Alexander’s got his second bucket of the night pacers leading by four hallebertton kicks to Tophin seakum high post [Applause] outside Matin and it’s off from three-point range thunder have gone an even 50% from the field they are seven of 14 for the game and the ball goes out of bounds last touch by Seakkum and they also show up in the top five in assists a major focus for them sharing the basketball and really keeping everyone involved and as you said their rebounding numbers are among the best in the league greg they work so hard inside success on the boards is an absolute priority for him isaiah Joe he’s checked in for Gilg Alexander joe with it he’s covered by McConnell hartinstein passes to Joe connects from three-point range and that’s exactly what he’s looking for draining the triple mcconnell scanning the floor pass to Matan [Applause] here’s Toppin and he gets the bucket and the Pacers lead by three that’s exactly where Toppin wants to attack you inside at close range joe passes to Caruso caruso sets the screen for Williams back to Caruso [Applause] pass to Hartenstein and the shot goes in hartinstein’s got 10 [Applause] indiana’s gone two of five from three-point land here in the first quarter back to McConnell beautiful dish and the layup goes down and those are the kind of nice inside looks they’ve gotten here in the first half and here is Williams playing Memphis he was nearly unstoppable joe passes to Hartenstein [Applause] oklahoma City needs to get off a shot fires from the wing a second chance effort and that’s two points on the layup he’s got 12 yeah they got that one but early on it’s it’s really been a struggle for them to secure that defensive backboard and because it’s still early I wouldn’t read too much into it there’s still a lot of game left after exploding onto the NBA radar in 2019 Seiak Park has been a sure thing on offense well you know what you’re going to get from Pascal Seaka i mean whether it’s in the open floor or in the half court sets he’s a guy you can count on delivering when you give him the ball in those situations his offense never takes a night off rebound first free throw is good a big man who can score rebound and pass this is why Seakum has become a huge piece of this team looking at who’s out there now for the Thunder Williams he’s checked in for Hartinstein aaron Wiggins comes in for Dorch and it’s Kase Wallace in for Alex Caruso indiana also making some changes isaiah Jackson he’s checked in for Benedict Matan and Alec Burks subbed in for Andrew Nemar thunder trailing by three pass to Williams some nice passing by Oklahoma City here the kick out to Williams shoots over Toppin pacers with the rebound boy that’s got to be terribly frustrating there i mean with the defense not hustling and he still misses boy he wishes he had that one back and Jackson throws it down hard punch counter punch impressive offensive production early on hey guys this is going to be fun now i mean we’ve got ourselves a shootout on tap here williams gets the bucket shots are just flowing for him right now having a really strong quarter outside Jackson pass to Burks over Joe and again it’s Indiana boy a really nice job to take what the defense was giving him there 58 seconds left to play in the first quarter here’s Williams again oklahoma City you know the defense has to be better i mean you can’t give up that look pacers leading by three seakum deciding where to go with it goes back up that’s in he’s got two made now and he’s shooting two for three well we’ve seen that movie a few times haven’t we an easy bucket in the paint well listless and lifeless at the defensive end i mean especially inside they’ve really got to pick up that interior defense now here’s Williams eight points for him and you don’t ever want to get into the habit of letting the offense get to the rim yeah I couldn’t agree with you more i mean that’s the message they were sending with that foul nothing easy inside the Thunder shooting their sixth and seventh free throw attempts tonight and that one falls for Williams gilgis Alexander’s checked in for Kase Wallace and the Pacers also making a change hallebertton’s checked in push on the miss we’re pushing on the miss and he makes both free throws [Applause] there’s 25 seconds left in the first quarter of the game to the inside and Jackson throws it down hard nice feed from Hallebert he’s really put in the work to become an outstanding passer gil Alexander against McConnell here’s Gilis Alexander another guy who really kicked it up a notch for his team in that Grizzlies game off target from outside and they’re scoring pretty well as we conclude the first quarter pacers out in front up by five and for 2K Sports we’ll be back here at Paycom Center right after this and for those of you just tuning in the second quarter of action is where we’re at right now and a chance for just a second to check out the scoring breakdown for the Pacers their chemistry that’s what really stood out so far in this one to me look at the number of assists they’ve been able to rack up so far and additionally they’re doing a terrific job getting to the line tonight and they’re turning all those trips into early points and here’s Hallebertton he’ll bring it up for the Indiana Pacers leading by five they host the Kings after this game to start a three-game home stand with that game isaiah Joe is out there with Aaron Wiggins then there’s Shay Gildish Alexander then it’s Williams and it’s Wallace in at the shooting guard that’s the group for Oklahoma City getting going here in the second the shots good from Hallebertton good job that time by Hallebertton to get some help with the screen and then got a shot right off of the pick wallace against Hallebertton nice shot by Wallace wallace has got his first points of the night pacers leading by six hallebertton outside the road three-pointer and again it’s the Pacers from deep and getting going here in the second quarter his second three-pointer of the game [Applause] teardrop shot and that one is off and and typically he has the touch to finish when he’s in tight but not sure on that possession jackson kicks to McConnell pass to Burks from downtown [Applause] here’s Jackson persistence pays off as they finally hit a shot jackson’s got the lead up to 11 now for the Pacers mcconnell against Gilgis Alexander over McConnell it’s rebounded by Indiana we’re now about two minutes into the second quarter pass to Hallebertton the three and it’s Shay Gilis Alexander with the rebound driving to the basket bucket is good gilgage Alexander’s got eight points and the move and the basket sca has the defense shook now McConnell he had a 15-point outing in their last game against Washington jackson a screen on Gilis Alexander and that’s a foul called on Sheay Gilis Alexander that’ll be his second foul of the game [Applause] second quarter of play with almost three minutes gone to the middle here’s Jackson and the dunk by Jackson yeah and in terms of size not your typical center but man he plays as big as any of them thanks to that terrific leaping ability with a short break in the action gives us a chance now to send it over to David Aldridge kevin the Pacers obviously push the fast break tyrese Hallebertton says the emphasis is getting outlets and running playing fast that’s a good identity to have it’s a team that people want to play for and it’s a style you don’t want to play against you’ve got to be ready to play us kevin the idea is for them to wear you down they fly David baseline to baseline they can really go here’s Wiggins and he gets the whistle two free throws coming up greg you look at the great coaches what are one or two of the most important qualities for success that you see well for me Kevin I think you got to be able to adapt tactically i mean that’s huge and especially in the playoffs but most important can can you motivate and unify a locker room that leadership quality is what really puts a coach over the top the first free throw is good a different look for Oklahoma City hartinstein he’s checked in for Williams and it’s Alex Caruso in for Kase Wallace the phaser is also changing it up turner comes in for Isaiah Jackson and Andrew Nehard’s subbed in for Alec Burks on the miss on the miss and both free throws good for Wiggins pacers leading by nine allebertton looking around let it go with a three thunder with the rebound no other way to put it just a poor shooting performance for him but luckily his teammates have picked up the slight from deep gilas Alexander it’s good from long range gilas Alexander’s got 11 points well this is why SCA is a focal point of this offense because of that ability to score [Applause] now here is Hallebertton covered by Joe from past the ark and Tyresese Hallebertton hits from deep hallebertton’s got nine points in the quarter and he’s now made three-pointers here in the second starting to get it going caruso a screen on McConnell come get it come get it gilg Alexander passes to Caruso the rebound by Turner indiana leading callebertton for three good and McConnell gets the assist mcconnell’s got four assists in the game you know throughout this quarter guys they’ve had no answer for him defensively and he’s been absolutely relentless now here’s Wiggins he had 10 points in the win against Memphis gil Alexander against McConnell second shot opportunity and it’s sent back by Turner what timing from Turner i mean that’s a big part of of blocking shots reading the shooter and then timing it perfectly to send that shot in reverse and too much time in the lane they get called for the 3second violation a moment now to look at the yearto-year scoring output and how it has been trending for Pascal Seakum and looking at his offensive numbers from the past few years it seems like teams around the league have kind of figured him out uh he’s having to work a lot harder for his points and they haven’t been coming nearly as easily as they used to catching up on the changes for Oklahoma City jaylen Williams comes in for Aaron Wiggins and it’s Dort in for Isaiah Joe [Applause] here’s Gilis Alexander and there’s two points working on the glass paying off that time yeah coach’s pet peeve there no box out those are free points you’re giving away you got to work harder on the glass now here is Hallebertton he’s got 16 and with this break why don’t we check out the hottest shooting point guards over the last month Shay Gilis Alexander number one and he’s been even more accurate with his shooting than he’s been with his passing just a terrific percentage from the field this isn’t a power forward we’re talking about i mean this is a point guard he’s knocking down shots from 20 ft like they were layups and the first one drops hallebertton is just one of those young guys that has a really well-rounded game makes shots pretty much from anywhere on the floor and the Thunder making a switch here williams has checked in [Applause] hallebertton hits him both seems like Hallebertton is always looking to do a little more always making the extra effort that’s fairly rare turner against Williams gilgis Alexander surveying the D whistle blows basket is good so a chance here for a three-point play well I love what he’s done in this first half at least so far increasing confidence every time down the floor you can see it the Thunder have knocked down eight of nine free throw attempts i’d say those numbers read pretty well one shot that’s good from Gilas Alexander and guys this is the way to stay in the game they’re doing a masterful job from the line perfect this quarter neard finds Matarin now Hallebertton and he drives in shooting foul as the whistle blows he’ll shoot two free throws hallebertton just too good for the defense there great tenacity and physicality on that drive three trips to the line so far for him in this one in their last contest guys he was unconscious from the foul line splashed them one after another it really was quite a display from the strike you know one thing about getting going at the free throw line like he has this season it can continue to carry over that’s good from Hallebertton no wasted trips at all they’re taking care of business at the line one way to protect the lead knock down those free throws and 100% free throwing for the quarter that’s superb [Applause] hallebertton hits them both thunder trailing by 11 outside williams gets rebounded by Indiana seakum’s got rebound number five here tonight a slight rebound advantage for them one more column in their favor and it’s all adding up well you take a look at all of the stats the team stats that is and that’s one of the many areas that they’ve had the advantage and as a result they’ve got a big lead now here’s Dort following the miss by Miles Turner dort against Albertton right side Gilis Alexander yep that one goes in there gilg Alexander’s got 18 points in the game and he’s clearly led the way offensively the question is can they ride him and get back into it back to Hallebertton that falls nice feed that time from Turner and the Pacers lead by 11 boy has he put his foot on the pedal here this quarter he’s doing a terrific job in terms of leading their offense the shot by Williams no good indiana’s gone past the three-point line for 13 of their shots they’re six of 13 hallebertton against Caruso shot clock at six siakum kicks to Hallebertton for the three gilis Alexander pulls it in gilg Alexander’s got his fifth rebound right now in the game and the layup is good gilg Alexander’s got 20 i tell you what guys there’s not much more he can do i mean he’s been on fire yet they still trail in this game here’s Siaka two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul that one on Williams we’ve seen the league uh Clark crack down on physical play more and more over time you know I think in general that’s a good trend and direction and change game was extremely physical and rugged in the early 80s and even into the early mid 90s but things change and I think the change is for the better it’s about player safety and protecting players so I think it’s a good thing overall and the Thunder making a change here joe’s checked in tj McConnell he’s checked in for Indiana [Applause] good on the second free throw thunder trailing by 10 joe with it he averages more than 12 points a game that’s some dependable production the floater pacers with the rebound seakum’s got six rebounds now in the game the shot is good and so is his shooting tonight three for four with a harmonious blend of length and strength Seakum has become a dependable interior scoring option now here’s Williams he’s got 10 mcconnell with it williams picks him up pass to Seakkums up and here is Turner shoots over Caruso seakum on the follow seakum’s got the lead up to 14 now for the Pacers and Kevin they dialed up their activity this quarter we’re seeing them convert a lot of those second chance opportunities well the hustle and the effort the um persistence all of that paying off in a big way and that’s something that makes a coach smile and Mark Dagnold calls timeout wants to talk some things over might be seeing some things to adjust aaron Wiggins he’s checked in for Oklahoma City right now let’s check out the standings in the Eastern Conference and see how the playoff race is shaping up you take a look at the Pacers they’re in seventh and looking to hold on to that seed for the playoffs and right now for the Pacers they’ve shown me some very good things this season but that next step those qualities that could make them true contenders just haven’t been there yeah and you know we’ve seen them enough to know by now they’re not going to make that switch from good to great at this point not this year anyway now here’s Williams 10 points for him dort passes to Williams dort with a screen for Williams four on the clock puts up a three and Dorch gets it to go and the three-point shot wasn’t always there for Dort but he’s put in a ton of work on it and it shows mcconnell finds Yakum turner with a screen on Williams here’s Siaka that one is good he’s only missed one shot of his six taken on the floor no doubt about the consistency when it comes to scoring the basketball for him tonight a real nice lift for their offense outside Dorch [Music] back to Williams fires for three and again Oklahoma City with the triple boy he’s really been dominant in this one unfortunately he hasn’t had much help outside Matin [Applause] we’ve got 123 left in the first half of basketball and Seakum has it in the corner the bounce over Williams lands soft on the front of the rim and drops seakum’s got 15 points they’re finding lanes to the hoop now with consistency five buckets in a row from the paint and on the flip side the defenders have to show more fight on the interior they’ve got to offer more resistance here now here’s Williams he’s got 13 wiggins a screen on Seakum and it’s sent back by Turner miles Turner denying another one one of the league’s best shot blockers year in and year out and right now let’s watch that terrific swat yeah quick thinking pays off big what a block [Applause] just three to shoot caruso the pass to Wiggins watched again and that’ll be Oklahoma City as it goes out of bounds thunder retain possession and we got to take a second look to admire that outstanding block and a block like that sends a message one that says we’re not giving up this lead here’s Wiggins he gives the team some steady offense a bit under 10 points a game [Music] indiana leading by 12 here’s Nehard he’s averaging just around eight and a half points a game mcconnell finds Matan seakum left side turner with a screen for Seakum buries it from three-point range he’s got 18 oh the numbers speak for themselves seakum showing great versatility on the offensive end now here’s Dors looking at his point production he averages almost 11 points a game right side Williams over Seakum and Williams gets it to go on the assist by Dort and so it’s the Indiana Pacers 13 points up at the end of the period they’ve got their field goal percentage to thank for that they’ve been hot from all over the floor tonight back to the action in just a minute [Applause] [Music] you know right now for the Thunder they’re pretty entrenched in their power ranking spot hard to see much movement from them this late in this year and that’s not a problem for them they have a great roster and all the tools they need to make a lot of noise in this postseason now let’s talk about that first half what an impressive performance for the Pacers i love how they’ve kept the ball moving make the defense play musical chairs out there musical chairs i I think you mean hot potato because they’re burning that D whoa that’ll do it for our show tonight thanks for joining us and we’ll send you back to Kevin Harland for more Hoops action [Music] and with the second half upon us we’ll find out if this game becomes the route that it’s threatening to be tyrese Hallebertton has been sensational yeah he’s just been raining down on him from deep here talk about dialed in well you know the stroke looks fantastic even when he’s had a hand in his face it hasn’t affected him at all and here’s Hallebertton he’ll bring it up for the Indiana Pacers on the court right now for the Pacers Allebertton in the back court Nemard to his side seiakim is the four and he’ll be next to Turner at the five and it’s Matin in at the three slot and it’s not easy to get that shot on target with so much contact seakum just shakes it off determined to finish through it’s time now to hear from our Hall of Fame reporter David Aldridge what’s the latest David thank you Kevin now Pascal Seakam is nominally a power forward but his versatility at both ends of the floor allows him to play a number of roles seakum says that’s where the NBA has been going it’s always positionless basketball and I feel like it can do anything and in today’s game Kevin that means tremendous value for Siaka back to you doesn’t it my goodness David he is something else thank you very much [Applause] first one falls for him and you know because Turner is such a good free throw shooter for his position defenses really can’t send him to the line too often he’ll make him pay williams he’s checked in for Oklahoma City no good on the second free throw thunder trailing by 14 down low here’s Williams and it’s slammed in by Williams well Dort makes the smart play there he spots a wideopen shooter and just gets him the ball pass to Methin back to Hallebertton [Applause] outside Turner for three seakkum gilgis Alexander pulls it in gilgis Alexander’s got his sixth rebound on the night to the paint williams kicks to Dort just five on the clock yep that one goes dors got five three for three and that’s always a good way to start the second half hallebertton passes to Nemo [Applause] outside Matan and a miss there on the triple for Oklahoma City they’ve gone three of three from the field since halftime hallebertton against Williams williams has a screen for Williams good on the shot and that shaves the lead to single digits williams has got 20 and still perfect in the second half four straight legs indiana leading by seven [Applause] pass to Nemo hallebertton against Gilas Alexander outside Matan boy you look at the toolkit Matan has coupled with his production and his maturity boy he’s got a chance to dominate in this league this is his first trip to the line tonight [Applause] free throw good mathan Matan has a little bit of Mitch Richmond in him you know a guy I love watching work strong aggressive quick talented as a scorer man he’s got game and that’s good as he hits both of his shots thunder trailing by nine outside Dort [Applause] back to Williams and the layup’s good off the glass 22 points here for Jaylen Williams the ball movement on this run has been fantastic and is a big part of why they’ve been able to get these good looks [Applause] got a piece of it and stolen by Caruso pass to Dort now here’s Williams back to Dort oklahoma City moving it around it’s stolen by Matan gilas Alexander again to Allebertton turner with a screen on Gilis Alexander turner passes to Siako six on the shot clock here’s a look at some of the players that have exploded in the second half of the season these are the scoring leaders since the All-Star break shay Gilis Alexander number one he is making his mark in a big way and with big points you love to see guys get better the later in the season we get throw good sakam [Applause] and he makes the first but misses the second thunder trailing by eight we’ve gone about three and a half minutes into the third now pass to Williams and here is Dort no good on the triple and not allowing the shooter even an inch of breathing room on that one and guys that’s exactly the kind of high impact defense they want to see out of him here’s Gilas Alexander he gets that one gilas Alexander’s got 24 well they’re getting stops and they’re attacking on the offensive end and you know it’s taken a big run but they were able to get back into this one very impressive no quitting these guys now here is Hallebertton he’s got 22 he gets it in there like the way Hallebertton continues to take more responsibility on the offensive end his game Warren said he does that williams against Turner williams kicks to Dort caruso the pass to Dort back to Caruso the Pacers pull it in the biggest lead of the game 15 points [Applause] dort against Matan pass to Turner here’s Nemhard lets the three fly the three-pointer is right on target and now it’s an 11-point pacer lead and Gilgus Alexander’s got the ball here for the Thunder they’ll be playing host to Chicago for their next game and that’s the third of four straight played at home good the nice assist for Williams 26 points for Shay Gilis Alexander pacers leading by nine outside Matan hallebertton against Gilis Alexander fires the three rebound by Williams williams has got his fifth rebound in this one and Williams here we go and the slam by Williams and you know we can’t measure heart i mean he’s not as big as the other power forwards but his jumping ability and mindset is incredible siakum passes to Hallebertton [Applause] and a wideopen look from Matan hands it from downtown mathan’s got five points now in the quarter a young guy who is ready to attack mathan gets the ball and goes straight into his shot and a wideopen look for Gilas Alexander and they come right back with their own three-pointer one triple for him in the first half now he’s hit another pass to Matherine turner with a screen on Dort to the middle and it’s Turner finishing it off the more math he creates for others the more dangerous he becomes thunder trailing by nine and Mark Dagnol calls timeout here he’s ready to talk things through with the team tyrese Hallebertton with a strong contribution so far in this one he can’t miss from deep the defense has to regroup here and I think they’ve got to change things up because he’s locked in from behind the arc [Applause] isaiah Joe he’s checked in for Dort and Indiana with a change here too tj McConnell he’s checked in for Benedict Mathan [Applause] you got him gilgis Alexander kicks to Caruso some nice passing by Oklahoma City here caruso a screen on Hallebertton outside for Gilas Alexander joe controls the rebound and puts it back up and in oh great timing he is one tough customer on that offensive glass you know it’s like he has a six sense of where that rebound is going and that six sense guys might be better than just about anybody else’s it all started with the pass that’s what coaches love to see ball movement seakum against Williams outside gilis Alexander and he lays it straight in gilis Alexander’s got 11 points here in just the second half he has definitely shown up to play he’s done his part really just trying to battle his team back into it and Turner throws it down well you can’t let Turner get that deep inside when you do he’s going to abuse you with a throw down right on top of your head here’s Gilg Alexander and it’s McConnell with the rebound and so it’s McConnell with it he’ll bring it up for the Pacers the biggest lead of the game 15 points mcconnell a screen on Williams [Applause] pass to Turner and a bit of a battle here for the ball the official signals a jump ball here lock at six come on come on come on seakum kicks to McConnell fires the three thunder with the rebound williams has got six rebounds here tonight here’s Joe scores off the crossover joe’s got four points this quarter and he’s been passive today but maybe that’s what he needs to get him going because for them to be successful he’s got to be a little more selfish turner passes to Hallebert and there’s the whistle 3-second violation first in steals and they’re also pretty solid in terms of offensive rebounding top 10 in the league in that category a lot of hustle from that group and at the top of the league in steals their defense has gotten everyone’s attention this season you know Greg it’s amazing how much energy they put into their deep wiggins has checked in for Gilis Alexander topin he’s checked in for Indiana burks comes in for Hallebertton wiggins a screen on Burks here’s Williams pass to Wiggins and out of bounds as the Pacers gain possession a moment now to see the numbers for Williams since the All-Star break he’s been unstoppable he’s averaging about 19 points per five rebounds and four assists and you talk about guys who just have a nose for putting up points he is one of them yeah he sure is and he rarely has backto-back bad games if he has an off night he usually follows that up with a big night and Oklahoma City making a change here wallace is checked in the Pacers also with a sub jackson he’s checked in for Andrew Nemar no no no seakum against Wiggins pass toppen indiana again missing thunder trailing by seven williams in the post seakum’s there now here’s Williams outside Williams back to Williams good and it’s Williams who picks up the assist williams has got six assists now in the game they didn’t have much of a problem getting the ball into the post that time now here’s McConnell they look to him for part of their offensive attack right now averages nearly 12 points a game here’s Wiggins and it’s Wiggins with the jam got to take care of the ball they’ll punish you if you’re that careless that’s right and that’s severe punishment right there exactly i mean when you’re running neck to neck those kinds of mistakes tip the scales burks goes to the reverse layup and drops it in and the Bazers lead by five beautiful reverse using his body to shield the finish nicely done wiggins outside on the wing wallace Williams has a screen for Wallace outside Williams shoots over to Williams can’t hit pacers leading by five pass to Burks back to Seakum [Music] jackson a screen on Wiggins to the inside and the dunk by Jackson and he can do a lot more damage to the rim than that when he wants to oh you’re right and with the lead they’re enjoying I’m surprised he didn’t put a little something extra on that one well I think he did plenty of damage nonetheless I mean it was only with one hand but he still threw that down pretty hard i don’t know what’s happening defensively but they’re not putting up any resistance i tell you what it’s it reminds me of one of my college coaches he used to say “That ain’t going to get it done that’s five straight baskets in the paint now.” And guys point of emphasis for the league is to really crack down on illegal screens yeah you know he might have gotten away with that a few years ago but not anymore no way now you’ve got to be stationary on those screens no extra hips or elbows or they’ll fall now here’s Wallace looking at his point production he averages almost eight points a game there’s 18 seconds left in the third quarter seakum inside covered by Joe toppin can’t get it to go joe passes to Williams over Seakkum and with that shot the Indiana is cut to just three points on the basket from Williams and as we conclude the third quarter what a game neither team giving ground pacers lead by three and we’re just moments away from the start of the fourth quarter stay with us here now a chance to show you our assist of the game and it’s presented as always by State Farm and how about the floor general ship right here i mean showing us why they’re always in good hands when he’s the man in charge well clearly he’s the guy that stirs the drink for him and that’s how he does it with his dynamite passing skills well this has been a great contest so far and I imagine the fourth quarter could have even more action in store for us we’ve got Jay Gilis Alexander isaiah Joe is out there with Aaron Wiggins then there’s Wallace and it’s Williams at center that’s the lineup in the game for Oklahoma City hallebertton outside the three the Thunder pull it in and here is Gilgis Alexander and he makes good on the layup gilis Alexander’s got the fourth quarter going with the first basket of the period here for the Thunder and here’s Hallebertton he’ll bring it up for the Indiana Pacers the biggest lead of the game 15 points now here is Hallebertton hallebertton so versatile and skilled this guy finds ways to keep the defense off balance pretty consistently and some stats here guys is the scoring breakdown for the Pacers well you know throughout this game they’ve shot the ball extremely well from downtown their shooters are getting open and letting it fly and their passing has been great as well ball movement is key in getting good looks and they’ve had that down tonight that’s good from Hallebert and Oklahoma City making a change here jiang’s checked in hallebertton hits them both and we’ve played through about a minute here in the fourth mcconnell against Gilg Alexander wiggins sets a screen for Wallace [Applause] gilas Alexander against McConnell you can’t look at the result of that shot they’ll take that whenever they get it well you know I hear you that’s a good look but when you’re that wide open I think you got to knock it down toppin can’t get it to go and even without that three ball dropping for him the defense should have done more on that last play and he’s an automatic finisher when he gets into that area he is and he picks the simple one-hand stop to get the two points hey guys I know I’m stating the obvious here but those could be an important two points considering how close this game is two points that one goes whenever that mid-range jump shot is available Hallebertton is going to take advantage of it he’s a really good passer but also an opportunistic scoreer that makes it 10 of their last 12 coming from inside the paint indiana’s gotten off to an 0 for two start from downtown here in the fourth quarter now here’s Burks pass to Topphen latrey buries the long range jumper and the Pacers lead by four well making threes is vital for Tophin developing his stretch big skill inside here’s Jen kicks it out to Wiggins now here’s Wallace he’s covered by Hallebertton tries again wallace good nice play call the open look yeah I put that one on the defense i mean they can’t leave him open at this stage now here is Hallebertton switch outside Jackson back to Hallebertton pull the shot a little but the bounce goes his way hallebertton’s got 30 strong work for him at the offensive end helping them to maintain that lead outside gil Alexander and foul on the shot he’ll shoot two at the free throw line and Gilis Alexander understands how to draw contact especially when he’s looking to score take a break take a break two shots let’s get it get it and he can’t get the first one a different look for Oklahoma City williams comes in for Jen and it’s Alex Caruso in for Wallace and Indiana with a change here too neards checked in got it out you got it out and he sinks the second pacers leading by three [Applause] [Music] well if you’re just tuning in welcome we’ve got about three and a half minutes gone here in the fourth quarter jackson a screen on Gilis Alexander hallebertton no good he’s really slowed down a bit here in the second half he hasn’t converted a three yet after the tremendous first half he had here’s Gilas Alexander from down in the low post it goes gilas Alexander’s got 36 and this is SGA’s role he He’s out here to score and score often hallebertton outside no good with the triple and Gilgish Alexander’s got the ball here for Oklahoma City it’s a one-point game back to Joe that balls nice feed that time from Wiggins not a lot of resistance on the inside and they’re taking full advantage the play in the paint has gone almost entirely all their way now here’s McConnell pass to Hallebertton [Applause] to the inside and the basket by Jackson and uh now looks like we’ve got an injury here guys we’ll likely see him come out of the game well I mean you really feel for him i mean and the the entire team just you got to hope for the best yeah absolutely of course this is why you build out your depth as best you can i mean you just never know when injuries might show up jones checked in for Oklahoma City [Applause] now Joe Wiggins outside [Applause] to the middle here’s Gilis Alexander the shot no good the Pacers have gotten just under 45% of their attempts to drop in the fourth or of nine jackson kicks to Hallebertton another shot an easy two points on the layup hallebertton’s got eight points in the quarter that shot by Hallebertton not easy taking the hit and still finishing the play those plays can make a difference in a game like this well you know it’s going to fire up Greg everybody on that bench making a statement for sure i mean we’ll see if they can maintain that aggressive approach guys now here is Hallebertton and Jackson throws it down hard what a pass by Hallebert he’s so comfortable running the screen and roll excellent wiggins outside pass to Gilg Alexander and here’s Jones top and covering and contact on the shot so he’ll be shooting free throws here a moment now to see how the schedule is looking for the Indiana Pacers on Monday they’ll be taking on Yonas Valenunis and the Sacramento Kings and then on Wednesday they’ll host the Charlotte Hornets and the matchup against the Nuggets that’s a contest that could easily go either way small mistakes could be the difference and both teams will need to be at their best and he knocks down the first one hartinstein he’s checked in for the Thunder jaylen Williams comes in for Isaiah Joe miles Turner he’s checked in for Indiana pascal Seakum comes in for Tophin and so Jones nails both of them [Applause] indiana’s gone into a funk from downtown in the fourth only one of their five three-pointers has found the bottom of the bucket nehard with it he’s guarded by Williams driving the lane it’s stolen by Hartinstein [Applause] williams finds Caro and again no good by Oklahoma City the Pacers have gone six of 12 from the field here in the fourth and even 50% here’s Turner outside for Hallebertton [Music] Seakkum with it six to shoot trains it from beyond the ark seakum’s got 24 and yeah you got to get out on that see demonstrating that ability to hurt you from beyond here’s Williams and it’s sent back by Turner mcconnell against Gilis Alexander mcconnell kicks to Hallebertton turner with a screen for Hallebertton launches a three knocks down the three ball hallebertton’s got 13 points in the second half and the D has gotten a little bit laxed here defending the triple and Mark Dagnold calls timeout he’s clearly intent on wanting to lock in and make sure everyone’s on the same page heat [Applause] [Applause] heat [Applause] dort he’s checked in for Jones benedict Matan he’s checked in for the Pacers and let’s head over to the sideline and catch up with David Aldridge during that last break coach Mark Dagno talked to his team now he talked about keeping confidence he said “This game is close but we know we’re the better team now it’s time to go out there and prove it.” We’ll see if they can come back in this one guys thank you David now here’s Williams breaks a big height bounce and goes in williams has got 15 points in just the second half pass to Nemhar turner with it fires from deep rebound by Williams and close to making the defense pay for the lack coverage that time hartinstein with the screen for Williams turner with the steel here’s Allebertton i’m up i’m up puts the move on and it’s blocked and the ball goes out of bounds last touch by Hardenstein and now let’s take a look again at that incredible rejection and that has got to help the morale of this team let’s see if that sets up a run here [Applause] clock at six turner with a screen on Caruso and it’s slammed in by Turner turner doing a nice job setting himself up for a shot off that pick and roll thunder trailing by seven gilg Alexander passes to Hart and shot pass to Gilis Alexander the kick out to Williams [Applause] shoots the three it’s rebounded by Indiana [Applause] now Nemard Hallebertton outside [Applause] screen on Gilis Alexander and that’ll be Indiana as it goes out of bounds pacers retain possession [Applause] shot clock at six seakkum finds Matarin shoots over Dort on defense dort has great instincts helping him stay on top of the shooter here’s Williams doesn’t get it to drop for him good D by Seakum boy just not scoring with the efficiency he’d like to tough quarter for him actton Mhard from outside the arc caruso grabs the miss thunder trailing by seven here’s Williams not wasting any time and taking the shot and knocking it down williams has got 32 points outside Matin [Applause] back to Hallebertton uses the glass to finish the layup hallebertton’s got 13 points now in the quarter a terrific effort from Hallebertton so far offensively he’s not holding anything back on that end of the floor he got a chance to jack up on Jaylen Williams status david Kevin I caught up with the head athletic trainer for Oklahoma City he told me that although he twisted the knee pretty badly nothing looks like it’s torn if he were to miss time right now it would really hurt this team especially during the latter stages of the season kevin thanks for the status report there David at least we now know Greg how he’s doing yeah when you talk injury the unknown factor is always a difficult thing to deal with and you know for him just watching his teammates unable to contribute that’s really a helpless feeling and Mark Dagno calls timeout the magnitude at this juncture in the game clearly warranting a timeout [Applause] heat heat [Applause] heat heat [Applause] and the Thunder making a switch here wiggins has checked in [Applause] thunder trailing by five now here’s Gilis Alexander with the floater and they’ll get another chance caruso no good and they are really racking up the assists in this one and their team chemistry is evident these guys enjoy playing with one another hallebertton inside the three-point line nice shot from the wing hallebertton’s got 39 and Caruso’s got the ball here for the Thunder on the wing gilis Alexander pass to Wiggins and that one clearly a foul gets the whistle and two shots coming up it’s going to be on Miles Turner take a break take a break two shots first free throw is good and that trims the lead to six [Applause] [Music] second free throw no good that time he really wanted that one not nearly as productive a trip to the line as he’d have liked they need all their free throws to go down at this point and we have to take another glance at that powerful rejection boy he is all over that shot i mean had it read the whole way got himself into position and then was able to make the play a bucket here would give them a bit more room true but but no need to rush it play smart matan passes to Hallebertton back to Matan there’s the double team with Dorch caruso with the steal only one player gets credit for the steal but really both defenders made it happen on that one gilas Alexander with it now guarded by Seakum gilis Alexander kicks to Williams and again no good by Oklahoma City and they go to the intentional foul So the first one drops and that makes it a seven-point lead [Applause] he’s off on the free throw unable to get that second one to drop in and an intentional foul right there two shots on the first he hits the first one and that stretches their lead to eight [Applause] so he goes two for two at the line and it’s a nine-point ball game here i think it’s a wrap when the game’s on the line he knows how to deliver the crushing blow so it’s Indiana picking up the win and in the win a comfortable win in what was I think g a pretty hostile environment it really was you know it’s never going to be easy on the road but they didn’t have too many problems with that tonight thank you for joining us that’ll do it for now for Greg Anthony Clark Kellogg and David Aldridge this is Kevin Harland saying thanks for watching and as we leave you we give you our player of the game Tyrese Hallebertton
