Kevin Durant Trade Watch: Spurs, Wolves, Heat, Clippers, Raptors All in the Mix
yo what’s going on guys and today we’re going to be discussing the latest reporting from my colleague at hopeshype.com Michael Scott regarding the Kevin Durant sweep stakes so what is the latest reporting saying spurs Wolves Heat Clippers Raptors are all in the mix for Kevin Durant now I’d like to hear your guys’ thoughts down below in the comments section what do you guys expect and why in terms of like what the deals could look like and where it’s going to be Durant’s destination but besides that yeah that’s everything I have to say and in the description should be the link to my colleague Michael Scott’s article so there’s real interest between Kevin Durant and the San Antonio Spurs and this isn’t some sort of flirtation this is the type of mutual interest that turns into headlines like we are doing now they drafted Victor Wemala to be their franchise pillar the Spurs always planned to be competitive by year three of his development the clock just hit zero san Antonio wasted no time jumpstarting the process landing allstar guard Darren Fox in a blockbuster deal fox is expected to ink long-term extension this summer they also scooped up rookie of the year Stefan Castle and insiders tell Hoops Hype that the Spurs don’t want Castle in any Durant talk like they should because let’s be honest this is a team that more than likely that clearly Castle wants or they want Castle to be a part of that core so the same goes for allegedly the number two pick where Dylan Harper widely seen as the foregone conclusion of who will be drafted with that pick and as the second best player in the draft class is there for the taking with that being said they also have the number 14 pick via Atlanta which rival teams believe is getable in the right deal executives across the league have flagged veterans like Harrison Barnes Kell Johnson and Jeremy Sohan as available for the right star become attainable now I have said that Jeremy Sohan is very likely to be traded because he’s extension eligible and it would make sense that they would probably include him in a deal cuz they could probably draft his replacement or sign his replacement in free agency while then dealing to a team that will extend him cuz he’s still a really good player and he had a great year like just taking that leap that people wanted however the extension especially with the cap gymnastics that would need to be done make it a bit hard to keep him if they were to trade for a star so I have said the best deal because Harrison Barnes is wife and Harrison Barnes’s wife is good friends with Darren Fox’s wife and Darren Fox is good friends with Harrison Barnes so I secretly think they would keep him and plus he’s kind of like that selfless player championship quality player role player that you want and I would honestly Kell Johnson and Deon Vel makes the most sense uh to do the package and then you can do Jeremy Sohan or a combination of like Blake Wise Blake Wesley and Mal Kai Bronnen but the real question would San Antonio actually put Deon Vel on the table that might be the tipping point either way even with no Deon Vel the Spurs have the ammo to get this deal done they got draft capital for days and the right blend of young talent and win now pieces and contracts to go get Kevin Durant if they really want to minnesota isn’t out either the Wolves were the loudest name chasing Durant before the trade deadline and they’re still circling the goal pair Kevin Durant with Anthony Edwards who idolized him since day one and now shares an Olympic jersey and medal with him but Wolves exec still will not budge on JD McDaniels he was off limits in the trade deadline and he’s off limits now rightfully so he is a dog one of the best perimeter defenders in the league and still a guy who I think has room to grow phoenix wants to upgrade at center and Minnesota can offer Rudy Gobear look Rudy Gobear had a little bit of a down year in terms of how he was the year before but that deal makes sense because he would still be an above average top 15 center in the NBA for the Suns and it would allow full minutes for Nas Reed who wants to be a starter and has that made that known they also want to stay he is also a priority for the Wolves to retain as reported earlier this month by Hooptight and if he starts it would allow them to put him at center Durant a power forward he probably have Jay Martinez Anthony Edwards and maybe a Mike Connley but a name to keep an eye on is Rob Dillingham the former top 10 pick barely played in the regular season or playoffs and he might quietly become a trade chip if things heat up in Phoenix originally deal the deal was Julius Randall Nas Reed and Dante Devenenzo but it seems like now I’ve always said I would try to get Mike Conley in this deal if I were the Timberwolves but I do know they value his leadership and they really don’t have an actual point guard to replace him with if they were to move him now Miami Heat remain in the Durant picture too they’ve had interest since before the deadline and would love to reunite KD with Bam out of Iowa and Eric Spolstra two fellow Olympians he trusts by the way I cover the Miami Heat for hoopside so I’m kind of like secretly cheering i’m not even a He fan but that Kevin Durant ends up in Miami because I would love to be able to cover Kevin Durant and Phoenix has done some homework on Andrew Wiggins who would be what the deal is built around who’s owed 28.22 million this upcoming season and would likely be the matching salary in any Miami deal but here’s the swing piece khalil Wear the young man who just came off his rookie deal has real fans within the Phoenix off Phoenix front office and the biggest thing is if Miami is serious about landing Durant the deal may hinge on whether they put Khalil Wear in the deal or not and to me I wouldn’t trade Khalil Wear the whole thing that entices me is Khalil Wear i’ve said it before look the best deal for the Miami V would be dumping Terry Rosier and their draft pick in this year’s draft to the Brooklyn Nets you basically send Rosier to get bought out and you send them this year’s draft pick to get that cap face then you send Haime Aquez and Andrew Wiggins to the Suns and that deal right there is possible now the Suns don’t get their center but they got a young guy in Hanehakez they get themselves who has two years left on his deal and will you know get these restricted free agents rights and bird rights who would probably thrive out there being an LA kid and you get Andrew Wiggins who’s uh who can be extension eligible or a guy that like has a shorter deal that works out really well so to me I think that’s something that makes sense and even if you don’t get a center you can run center by committee but Michael Scala says don’t sleep on the Clippers why LA has had quite interest or quiet interest in Durant and has even seen the Suns probe the value of Norman Powell across the league just in case something with the Clippers develop phoenix would absolutely ask for Ivika Zubats in the deal this is a guy who just averaged a double double as top 10 center and he might not be a household name for casual fans but he’s a household name for good people who pay attention to the NBA the Clippers value him highly and aren’t eager to let him go so if the Clippers decide to push for Kevin Durant other potential outgoing names would be Bardon Bardanovich Derrick Jones Jr and Norman Pal on the asset side the LA Clippers can offer an unprotected first in 2031 plus pick swaps in 2030 and 32 so to me I think that’s the interesting dark horse in all of this and then of course there’s Toronto the Raptors are always looking looking to swing for a big star and they’ve been eyeing a star level move since retooling around Scotty Barnes and bringing in Brandon Ingram and Duran fits the bill league sources say Toronto is expected to explore the market of RJ Barrett this summer whether it’s to bring in KD or to load up for another major play Toronto is clearly in the stars or bus business again and this saga is just heating up so I want to hear your guys’ thoughts again i think a Yaka Purle RJ Barrett deal would be the deal for Kevin Durant from Toronto i mean it could be Brandon Ingram because it would be weird to have Brandon Ingram but I don’t know how recently Brandon Ingram I think he can be traded but it just be weird i don’t know if he can be traded i cuz he did sign an extension so I know there’s like a 6 month is it from the extension you can’t be traded so that would make him like in August and that’s a bit more difficult for that deal to happen so let me hear your guys’ thoughts
Kevin Durant is officially on trade watch—and the San Antonio Spurs might be leading the charge. According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, there’s real mutual interest between KD and San Antonio. The Spurs are loaded with assets, including Victor Wembanyama, De’Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, and multiple picks. The question now: Would they move Devin Vassell to seal a deal?
But the Spurs aren’t alone. The Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, and Toronto Raptors are all in the mix for the former MVP. Minnesota remains interested in pairing Durant with Anthony Edwards, Miami may leverage Kel’el Ware and Andrew Wiggins, the Clippers could offer Ivica Zubac and draft capital, and Toronto has RJ Barrett as a potential chip in a blockbuster swing.
Who’s truly willing to go all-in for Durant—and will Phoenix finally pull the trigger?

Does anybody really believe that Kevin Durant is going to be happy anywhere very long? I don't! 🔥

My Guy what type of wolves fan are you 😂. Get it together bro 🌲🐺
15k subs i been here from start
I think KD will fit perfectly in Toronto's roster. He gets to be the primary scorer + end game closer. Scottie takes care of defense and passing thru the game. Ingram is the 2nd option for scoring.
KD will be a spur
