Who MUST the Portland Trail Blazers TRADE?

Who MUST the Portland Trail Blazers TRADE?

who must the Portland Trailblazers trade this off seasonason what is going on everyone i hope you guys are all having a great day so far first things first I know it’s been a while since I last uploaded i don’t want to take a long time getting back into the rhythm but I do want to say the plan and the hope is going to be to upload one video per week throughout the off season and depending on each week maybe we’ll get a second or third video in there um but I just want to say I appreciate you guys i’m back and let’s jump right into the video so before we get into the players that I think this team must trade there’s kind of a few things we need to talk about there’s a lot of talk on if the Blazers should keep or trade the 11th pick in the draft coming up here in a couple weeks specifically around who would they even draft with it and what is the timeline like for this Blazers team right because if they’re in a position where they’re hopefully and from what we’ve seen from Joe Cronin and Chanty Bilips even towards the end of last season I think the hope is that they want to make the playoffs this upcoming year and so drafting a young 19 or 20 yearear-old rookie doesn’t really feel like it makes sense but there’s a few guys that I could definitely see the Blazers drafting who I think could at least be positive contributors to this team and might even be a benefit to this team even if they do decide to go for the playoffs i have three guys here I want to talk about real quick and the first of those being Derek Queen he is the most skilled big man in the draft and that’s one area that if the Blazers do decide to trade DeAndre Aan and Robert Williams which could definitely be a possibility then bringing in another rookie center like Derek Queen could definitely have its ups and downs and who knows maybe he goes on to become you know one of the better players from this draft i don’t think it would be too bad to take a swing on that and then we have a guy who I would probably prefer the Blazers draft if they end up taking the pick and using it and that would be Igor Demon eigor is one of those guys that in previous years uh even going back as far as a year or two had been mocked somewhere in the top five of the draft for this upcoming year and lately on big boards he’s fallen quite a bit there’s been a lot of talent that has risen up the draft board so it’s kind of kicked Igor down a bit um but he is a very large I believe 6’9 point guard/forward so he’s very versatile and he can kind of flex between any of those uh smaller positions point guard shooting guard small forward and he has a bit of a shooting touch and so he’d be a guy that if the Blazers brought him in he’d kind of be able to fit in wherever is needed and he’d be a really good bench player right away um and he’s someone that I could definitely see the Blazers drafting and he’s someone that you know I believe in some mock drafts is going as high as eight and so there’s no promise that he would even fall to us at 11 but if he’s there at 11 and the Blazers are using the draft pick then he would definitely be my overall choice and then another guy I could see the Blazers drafting and one that may benefit the team honestly is none other than Carter Bryant he is a 68 wing who can shoot and if the Blazers end up going on to trade Anthony Simons this off seasonason which we’ll get into in a little bit then bringing in a shooter of some sort would be definitely beneficial this team doesn’t have much shooting and is honestly this team’s biggest weakness so a guy like Carter Bryant is a rookie who’s already shown some pretty good shooting flashes in his college time uh would definitely be beneficial and something that I would hope the Blazers do maybe if both Derrick Queen and Igor are off the table at 11 and they’re not going to trade the pick then Carter Bryant could be a safe bet there now over the time I’ve kind of taken a break here on YouTube the Blazers have actually been sold which is pretty crazy comment below let me know if you want a whole video about this but it sounds like the Blazers are going to be sold here in the coming year or so these kind of things take a while and I don’t expect any big difference to uh be noticed at least from a fan or team perspective in this upcoming year but I think in the coming years having new ownership depending on who buys it will definitely be a benefit to this team and Lord willing we get a ownership team who wants to actually spend some money on the Blazers and uh put a little bit of money towards the team instead of being like Jody Allen who’s pretty cheap and then finally before we get into the trade stuff something not super important but something notable here is that Chanty Bilips was extended which I kind of have mixed emotions on i think he did end the season coaching pretty well and if they weren’t looking to spend a lot of money then extending him probably is the best bet considering that this was kind of the off seasonason they either extended him or we’re going to let him go since he only has one more year on his contract um but in my opinion there were a lot of really good coaches out there that would have been really nice to bring in however if they weren’t planning on paying big money for any of those coaches and who knows maybe none of those coaches even wanted to come play in Portland Chanty is honestly probably the best bet and I’m just hoping that what we saw in the last half of this uh the second half of this last season I should say hopefully that’s something that he can carry over into this upcoming year and now let’s talk about who the Portland Trailblazers must trade there’s three players here I want to talk about and for all these guys make sure to comment below and let me know uh what your thoughts are should these players be traded should they keep them and give a couple mock trades i’d love to look at the comments and see a bunch of mock trades for these guys um but again I have three players the first of which being Jeremy Grant jeremy Grant is the guy who I think you you have to trade him even if it’s not for that much value the Blazers should have traded him probably a year or so ago arguably shouldn’t have even extended his contract because of how long it was and how much money was on his contract and how much there still is um but Jeremy Grant’s just a guy who you have to get rid of he’s going to start if he’s here and I just don’t believe he should be starting in front of Denny or Tummani denny and Tomani have proved they are the Blazers forward duo of the future denny especially and so I just don’t see a world where Jeremy Grant should take literally any minutes over those guys and especially if the Blazers end up drafting a forward like Igor or Carter Bryant or someone else or trading for a forward then it just does not make any sense for them to keep Jeremy Grant he could be valuable to a playoff team out there um just maybe needing a little bit of wing depth but as of right now he serves no purpose on the Blazers and I think teams know that so again even just including his contract the fact he has no value here I don’t see him being worth very much but hey you never know he’s also a larger salary so maybe he could help facilitate a bigger move if the Blazers you know want to make a move for a star player or if a star player’s traded in general the Blazers could likely try and get involved and get off Jeremy’s contract next up we have a guy who I bet a lot of you hope we don’t trade and some of you probably think we should have traded this guy a while ago and that is Anthony Simons anthony Simons he is a good player he’s the best shooter on this team by far mini Dame Jr And I know there’s a lot of good feelings towards Anthony he’s arguably the Blazers best player if not top two or three but at this point he just takes up minutes from both Scoot and Shaden and maybe if the Blazers got the second or third pick and they wanted to draft a guy like Dylan Harper then maybe you could have made an argument that the Blazers actually just try and bench scoot trade Anthony and then start Dylan Harper um but with the 11th pick I don’t see the Blazers drafting a guard that’s probably the least likely thing I see happening and so given that Anthony is a guy who would need to start he’s too good not to start but he also just takes up too many minutes from Scoot and Shaden and as of right now at least it seems like he is likely at his peak trade value i don’t really see his value going up much more uh it doesn’t seem like Anthony is getting much better yearbyear he actually had slightly worse of a year this past season than he did the year prior and so I think just this idea that Anthony is going to be this team’s best player or the number one or number two option on a playoff/contending team I just really don’t think that’s going to happen and I feel like that train has already taken off so Anthony Simons is a guy that I think we may as well trade now i’ll put a couple reports up on the screen but it seems like there’s even interest from the Magic Memphis and a few other teams that have inquired about Anthony and so if you have multiple teams contacting you you got to trade him especially when it frees up minutes for our young guard rotation and then finally we have a guy who could be traded could not be traded and I honestly probably won’t bat an eye either way i don’t think it’s too big of a deal but that is none other than DeAndre Aen now I know some of you are probably already flying to the comments to tell me how I’m wrong and Aan has to be traded at all costs but just think about it for a sec the Blazers have three centers and arguably the most valuable of those three on the trademark at least is Robert Williams and if the Blazers trade Robert Williams and they don’t draft a center with the draft pick then having an eight in Klingan rotation would honestly be pretty nice and Aon might end up having a little bit more trade value when the trade deadline comes around so if they don’t decide to trade him this off season they trade Robert Williams instead and then clinging comes off the bench for the first half of the season i think in a perfect world Klingan shows that he’s way too good to come off the bench and then the Blazers have to move Aiden at the deadline i don’t think that would be that big of an issue and if anything Aiden might have a good stretch there in the first half of the season i don’t think anything he would do would lower his trade value necessarily and once February comes around he’ll have a bit more value due to being an expiring contract some teams may see that value already and might just try and get on it a little bit early by trading for him plus there’s teams like the Lakers who desperately need a center same thing goes for the Pelicans and so if the Blazers can work with one of those teams who need a center and can get decent value from A& then I I think you definitely should do it but also if there’s not much value for him and teams aren’t really wanting him then I don’t I don’t see a problem holding on to him for a little bit longer as I mentioned with Klingan this last year he showed that he’s definitely ready to take on a bit more of a role and assuming he goes through the offseason cuts a little bit of weight and comes in a little more well conditioned for the season i mean you got to remember this was an 82 game season whereas in college you’re used to almost half that amount of games and so this was such a big change especially for a big guy like Klingan and I think that was kind of the biggest flaw in his game he didn’t have uh the best conditioning but his defense we saw was elite and if he can just put a little bit of an offensive bag together uh and kind of get that scoring up into the double digit range while locking it down on defense then he could definitely be the starting center so he definitely showed he’s ready to take on more and especially in a world where we want him to be the number one option if he ends up being the number one option and he starts the season off as the starting center and we keep Robert Williams then Aan definitely would need to be traded at that point and so who knows what the team is thinking through but I’m sure these are all options they are debating on right now and just kind of test who who and what team would want a guy like Aan what’s the value looking like because if the value is 30% say of what he should be traded at then you definitely shouldn’t force a trade the only guy I would do that with is probably Jeremy Grant even if his value is pretty low in like a super late first round pick almost like Josh Hart level value then honestly the benefit that the team gets from just getting rid of him is more than even the pick and maybe a player you’d get in return uh but Aan isn’t isn’t that guy i’d say the same with Anthony train them if the value is right but if not there there isn’t a ton of cons by holding on to them and having a guy like Scoot or Clean come off the bench when you could argue that they should start just gives them a little bit more of a fire under them to hopefully make them want to prove it and prove that they deserve the starting spot so there you have it those are the three players that I think the Blazers must trade this off seasonason jeremy Grant Anthony Simons and DeAndre Aen make sure to comment below and let me know what players you think the Blazers should trade you could definitely put Robert Williams in there as well um but I kind of just assume they’re going to trade him maybe more likely Aiden who knows um but make sure to comment and let me know what you want the Blazers to do this off seasonason also please consider supporting the video with a like and a comment please let me know if you are looking 1. RWlll Thybulle Murray.. Ayton Grant seems extremely difficult… Grant maybe next season, Ayton prob stay since Clingan cant play over 30min and C are very injury prone..
Draft Demin, and if we can get late 1st draft Rasheer Fleming.

Mock trade: Thybulle RWlll and a 2nd to Boston for Porzingis and 28th pick.

  2. Three team trade idea

    Orlando gets: Anfernee Simons
2028 Golden state second rounder via Philadelphia

Portland gets: Paul George, Eric Gordon, Jonathan Isaac, Cole Anthony
    2025 Pick #3 From Philadelphia
2028 Los Angles Clippers First round pick via Philadelphia
2029 First round pick from Orlando top 6 protected

Philadelphia gets: Deandre Ayton, Jerami Grant

  3. Blazers beat the Pacers twice last season. Portland could be sneaky good next year. Don't need to change much, just keep throwing wood on the fire

  4. Ayton,.. J.g.,.. or
    Williams!
we cant keep $30+M contracts, for guys 'not' worth that level of money!

Better to trade, get younger, & build up a few assets / picks!

  5. Clingan is not a starting center in this league. We lost every game against good teams when Ayton went down. Clingan was unplayable at times. He also got outplayed by backup centers. If Clingan is the starting center the Blazers are in big trouble

  6. ant is genuinely the only player that needs to be traded this summer how does everybody not understand this. we should NOT be trading ayton and timelord unless we’re receiving other expiring contracts because that 50-60mil is set aside for toumani and shaedon. jerami will come off the bench and be better next season, his money when it runs out will be there to give to deni and clingan. we have nobody with 2 years left besides scoot so where are we going to get his extension money. ant needs to be traded for somebody with 2 years left on his deal

  7. I disagree that a rookie wouldn't fit our timeline. We should have one of the youngest timelines in the league. Our expensive vets don't interest me much as a Blazer fan. Their ceiling is a play-in loss.

  8. Rebuild draft Carter Bryant from Arizona this year and the year after go pick cam boozer with the 3rd pick in the 2026 draft and get rid of buillups as coach

  9. grant is getting benched if he stays so he's the only must trade on the roster, moving simons for value would be nice but keeping him is also fine, but trading ayton isnt a good idea because of how low his trade value is compared to how good he is, if the blazers trade any centre it should def be robwill

  10. Ideal Blazers draft night:
-Trade Simons to Orlando for pick 16
    – Draft Jakucionis, Bryant, or Essengue at 11
    – Demin, Fleming, or Wolf at 16

  11. locked for me are sharpe, deni, scoot, camarra, clingan. all interesting going forward. id trade simons and grant and ayton for kuminga and gpII and picks.

  12. Carter Bryant can stretch the floor and then we got Deni to secure the bag! I would still pick Grant but he’s too expensive for our future..
