Insider DROPS BOMBSHELL On Knicks TRADE Plans! Teams Want OG Anunoby In ANY BIG TRADE | Knicks News

we have a huge update on the Knicks trade plans multiple reports indicate that the Knicks will be making a major roster move this off season but we never knew what the cost would be for the Knicks to make that move now we understand that if New York wants to make a blockbuster trade most teams are going to ask for OG and Anobi we’re going to break down all of these latest reports today but before schedule here for New York first hire your next head coach then explore free agency and then if available make a major trade happen but the main question is if New York wants to make that blockbuster trade happen what player or players are they going to have to give up in that deal well according to the latest reports if New York wants to make that blockbuster trade most teams are going to ask for a number of players one of those players being OG Anobi that means if you’re New York if you want to make that trade you’re going to have to pay to play let’s break down all of these latest reports here today shout out to James L edwards with The Athletic for this following information for us according to him two weeks into its search for its new head coach New York will interview leading candidates Taylor Jenkins and Mike Brown once that’s settled the franchise will shift to the NBA draft and then free agency with trades possibly intertwined with all of the chaos i just wanted to mention again as you can see there the schedule was just laid out for us first head coach then draft then free agency then if available New York is looking at all available trades edwards continues here by stating “There’s no way New York’s decision makers look in the mirror and believe that just changing the coach will get this roster over the top.” I don’t believe that the Knicks need to address at least one of these two things to get where they want to go the two things he’s talking about is defense and getting another player in the back court who can handle the ball for New York edwards continues here by answering the following question in his latest mailbag the question he was asked was “What percentage chance would you give one of the usual starters not being on the Knicks on opening night?” And here was James L edwards shocking response i think there’s a 40% chance one of the usual starters isn’t on the roster on opening night 40% 40% chance that one of the current starters of this Knicks team is not part of the organization next season i don’t know about you guys but I was not expecting to hear 40% 15% maybe as much as 20% okay 40% that almost guarantees that something is going to go down this off season that means New York is definitely making a move this off season they’re going to look at free agents they’re going to look how to improve this roster but they’re also going to be looking at trades and if the cost makes sense there’s about a 40% chance that New York will pull the trigger on that trade and make a deal happen let’s talk about the players that are safe when it comes to trades brunson is safe we know that i also think that Josh Hart will be around as well too he’s a good player who doesn’t make too much money relative to the other guys in the starting unit and is best friends with Jaylen Brunson never say never but I’d be surprised if Josh Hart isn’t on the team next season assuming he still wants to be here there has been no indication whatsoever that he doesn’t want to be that takes me to Mikuel Bridges OG Anobi and Carl Anthony Towns james L edwards gives us the following information here by stating Bridges is asked to do a lot defensively doesn’t miss games and moves the needle on offense as a third option so I don’t think it’s impossible for him to get traded if the two sides are off on extension talks the Knicks under Leon Rose have already shown they trade players they are far off on extension talks with and we definitely know that’s the case when it came to Julius Randall and trying to extend them when they couldn’t agree on a number they opted to trade him to Minnesota to get Carl Anthony Towns we know with Leon Rose he’s always going to do the best thing for the franchise that means if not paying somebody on this team right now is best for the franchise he is going to do it if retaining that player helps this team he is going to do it and if making a blockbuster trade needs to happen he is going to do that as well too and as you saw there New York if the right deal is on the table might include Mikuel Bridges in a deal and the same thing can be said of OG Anobi and Carl Anthony Towns now for me I think OG Anobi should be untouchable but as you can see here with James L edwards of the Athletic maybe he could be untouchable but if the Knicks want some more depth pieces OG Anobi may be the player they need to trade in order for that to happen edwards continues here by stating “As for Anobi he might be the player rival teams want the most if the Knicks attempt to make a big trade happen brunson is off the table.” Let me repeat that one more time for everybody og Anobi is the player that most teams around the league want if New York is going to make a big trade with them so that means those superstar trades that we have been talking about if New York wants to pull off one of those trades the teams are asking for OG Anobi and if I’m the Knicks I am hanging up the phone og Anobi is a gamecher for this team defensively he changes New York and offensively when he’s in his groove locked in and focused he is one of the best players on this team on both ends of the floor i am not I repeat not trading OG Anobi for anything in my opinion Jaylen Brunson and OG Anobi should be the two only untouchable players on this team depending on the superstar available everybody else should be on the table edwards continues here by stating “Also maybe New York wants to prioritize depth this off season and Anobi could be flipped for a few pieces i’m telling you guys if the Knicks flip OG Anobi for a couple of good role players I am going to be sick to my stomach that is a horrible trade that’s where I’m at with Towns as well anobi and Towns are very good players but both guys have lengthy deals and have dealt with injuries throughout their careers if you told me New York might try to get off one of those guys I wouldn’t be totally surprised it looks like it’s pretty clear at this point if the Knicks want to make a blockbuster trade happen it seems like the two players they might be more comfortable in trading is Muel Bridges and Carl Anthony Towns while I do see OG Anobi being listed there by James L edwards I cannot see Leon Rose in this Knicks front office trading OG Anobi for anyone carl Anthony Towns and Mikuel Bridges for a superstar maybe Carl Anthony Towns himself with a couple of role players for a superstar maybe I can see that happening but I can’t see New York trading OG Anobi the same way I can’t see them trading Jaylen Brunson or even for that matter Josh Hart but like I said before you’re going to have to pay to play when it comes to making these blockbuster trades and if the Knicks don’t want to pay then in my opinion just run it back do not make trades that you don’t need to make you don’t need to blow up this roster if the right superstar is not available and the only superstar New York should gut this team for is Giannis and last I checked he wants to stay with Milwaukee so as long as that’s the case keep this team together add some more depth pieces make some roster adjustments and changes but other than that keep this core together have a new head coach come in and see what that Knicks team can do next season because there is no reason at all to blow up this team if the right deal is not on the table and the right deal on the table will never include OG Anobi i’m sorry he’s untouchable for you maybe he’s not maybe somebody else is untouchable for you but that’s not the case for me i know the two best players on this team right now and it’s Jaylen Brunson and OG Anobi you can argue with yourself if you want to no way the Knicks should ever trade those two players everybody else it depends who’s on the table who’s available what’s the overall cost and after we make the trade are we better are we worse how much closer are we to a championship because that’s the criteria the Knicks need to have when making these moves you don’t make these moves without a plan in place you need to plan when you’re making superstar trades and each and every day I continue to count my lucky stars that Leon Rose and this Knicks front office is who we have making these decisions because each and every time they do that they are helping this team every step of the way we’ve seen it in the past and I promise you I guarantee you moving forward as we enter the off season we’re going to continue to see it because Leon Rose that’s his default helping this Knicks team no matter the cost but what about you guys
