i am honestly dumbfounded here now at this point as this Kevin Durant saga all the news about Messiah Jiri’s pursuit of some of the biggest names across the NBA the players he’s willing to toss out in these trade negotiations these trade situations it does not stop it is getting to the point where fans are frustrated fans are fired up people are going at me people are frustrated out there on Twitter with all these rumors 60% of people I did a poll out here on Twitter on X where it said 58% of Raptors fans at least in my small community that I’ve uh had on Twitter definitely check us out on Twitter cuz we’re delivering all the latest Raptors updates there as well but people don’t want Kevin Durant people don’t want me talking about Kevin Durant but it just keeps coming out with more and more information this saga is getting completely crazy and it’s my job to cover all the latest Toronto Raptors news it’s why a lot of people are subscribed to this channel so again hit that subscribe button you want all the latest updates cuz we’re to continue delivering all these updates and frankly they just keep getting wilder even if they don’t make sense for this Toronto Raptors team so let’s dive into it all and also don’t shoot the messenger folks i I get people being frustrated about this i just put together the reports that are out there in the public aggregate them together put them in a nice package for you guys so you guys can get all the latest updates on this Raptor team try to throw some uh humor and some memes out there on top of it you know all these weird animations and graphics here but I’m just as dumbfounded as you guys with this whole KD situation everything that’s going on with this team everything that’s going on with this current situation so what’s going on with this team so uh basically over the past 24 hours we’ve heard Kevin Durant has no desire to play with the Minnesota Timberwolves as they are one of the teams that are heavily interested talked about the same way the Toronto Raptors have been in terms of their pursuit of acquiring Kevin Durant so KD is coming out trying to use his leverage as a big name across the NBA to force his play into a destination that he wants to go now as we brought up multiple times Shams has revealed that Katie’s preferred trade destinations are the Miami Heat the San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets and today Kevin Durant has doubled down tripled down quadrupled down that he not only those three teams he wants to play for the San Antonio Spurs and he’s trying to force his way there now Mark Stein a bunch of reporters have come out and essentially said that the Phoenix Suns don’t they’re going to try to appease Kevin Durant try to get him the right destinations but their priority is to get the best package possible for their superstar for their you know top 20 player all time of course he’s older there’s a lot of uh things to take into account with Katie’s future and situation as he’s going to be 37 years old next year but averaged 27 six and four last season on remarkable efficiency still out there on the offensive end katie is still a phenomenal basketball player but things are the what’s happened with the Toronto Raptors now at this point because everyone wants the the Raptors updates basically right now the Toronto Raptors have moved up in the odds in terms of uh you know they jump from 1,200 to from plus 1,200 to plus 500 on DraftKings yesterday and you know these odds essentially reveal all they aggreate all the information how people are feeling and the reason the draft the odds in terms of the betting stuff cuz again I’m not a sports gambler i don’t actually put money on this stuff but the reason it’s relevant is because everyone can posture everyone can say different things in regards to reports in regards to media and push a narrative right kd can leak certain teams to Sham’s Trannia to really force his way into a certain direction and keep teams off it and really push different narratives no one’s playing with their money no one’s betting on things and these lines adjust based off of where the money’s actually going so there’s no incentive to be wrong to put out false information out there in regards to these betting odds and that’s why when you see the Toronto Raptors jump it is very very significant and then on top of it we have this report here from Grant Abset saying that league sources say the Raptors have explored a range of trade concepts that could involve a framework including a combination of RJ Barrett Emanuel Quickley Yaka Purle and number nine overall pick while nothing appears to be imminent there is internal openness to parting ways with one of Barrett or Quickly in a larger package and Purle could be included depending on the structure so Grant Absith is a guy that is pretty soft soaking he’s a friend of the network marcel and Raptors i just know Marcel he’s covered the Mavericks for us right now grant Abs is very big out there in those southern markets and Marcel’s had him on the channel a few times knows what he’s talking about it doesn’t push out but he’s not Jake Fischer kind of you know throwing out a ton of different narratives and things like that but drops some pretty uh he’s pretty credible in terms of regard information of course it’s not Chs it’s not Winhorse but no one believes anything you know at this point so it it is what it is but basically the Toronto Raptors right now there’s so much smoke there’s so much stuff going on that they are in the pursuit like it is clear that this team because we’ve heard Brian Winhor say that they’re serious about pursuing they’re lurking for Kevin Durant we’ve seen Mark Stein come out on Sportsnet and directly state that the Kevin Durant is seriously pursued by Messiah Euguri you know they’re trying to get in these conversations try to get into the situation it is a legitimate pursuit that Messiah is on here right now and you know Raptors insider Josh Loomberg had a lot to say on this as well saying that uh you see a post about the conversation uh and so basically this is I copy pasted there but Durant and the Suns were going to work together to find a trade partner right so much for that lots of games and ship happening here kd clearly trying to dissuade some interested non-preferred teams the Suns are firing back essentially telling the preferred teams to pay up basically as for the Raptors yes they’ve gambled on pending free agents before but important to consider what they paid an expendable vet a young rotation player and a first round pick hard to see them offering more than that and hard to see them being um it being enough unless the KD market has cooled considerably and it may have so Loomberg’s essentially coming out and saying that yes that the Raptors have gambled in the past that this reporting isn’t completely out of left field messiah Jerry has out of history of things like that but Messiah Jerry always makes intelligent trades for this team he makes moves without sacrificing a ton of assets a ton of value even the ones he’s kind of got meme formed or trashed on the the deals he made with the San Antonio Spurs those ended up being fine out there in the long run the only one that kind of uh you know bit us is the the deal so that uh that is what it is you know in terms of that jump back we lost Walker Kesler and stuff you know the Yaka Purle trade we did give up a first but it was in a bad draft ron Dillingham would have been the selection he’s very good at basketball but didn’t get a ton of run with the Timberwolves last season it’s uh you know Messiah Jerry likes to make sure that this team’s getting value so the you know scary reports about all these players being thrown in these trade discussions you know now Emanuel Quickley’s name has been tossed out a lot more as of late now he is a different scenario because just looking at the pulse of Toronto Raptors fandom and everything that’s going on you know he’s averaging 174 and six last season doubled a ton of injuries and he is on a very very expensive contract it feels like out of everyone on this team Emanuel Quickley is the guy that a lot of people don’t mind parting ways with just given how expensive his contract is and the lack of production he had last year of course I think he’s become underrated by the Toronto Raptors fan base solely off the fact that last season was complete turmoil in terms of him being able to stay on the court stay healthy and then he was when he was healthy this team was in an overt tank they were full tilt down the tank and mountain trying to get one of those picks you know so Emanuel quickly be tossed out in these trade discussions does make sense the Suns are looking for a point guard they’re looking for a center it’s why Jaka Purle’s name’s been brought up it’s why Nick Claxton’s name’s been brought up as a team that could be a part of a three team deal if a trade’s going to happen you know with the well a trade is going to happen the Phoenix Suns that’s essentially been declared here now at this point so they want a center they want a point guard so that’s why Yakapurto Emanuel Quickler are being brought up in all these trade discussions and you know as you know this is like an aggregation as well but compared to Jerrett’s preferred options Toronto might actually have the best uh offer currently available for the Suns and if that’s what the Suns are prioritizing as per Mark Stein that is what they are prioritizing the Phoenix Suns don’t be shocked if Kevin Durant ends up making his way to the Toronto Raptors now again a lot of stuff has to happen it’s always difficult to make these trades go down and I’ll double down on this again because I think some people think that I just make this stuff up i I always source the reports i get this stuff going so you know this is coming from a lot of different places i agree i talk about it give my opinions on all this type of stuff it’s still unlikely that Kevin Durant ends up the same way any superstar trade is unlikely the same way any trade when there’s in the
