THIS Lakers Trade Report is the PERFECT Realistic Offseason Outcome! | Lakers Claxton/Wiggins Trade?

[Music] entering the off season many Laker fans want to trade but unfortunately not many of their trade targets are very realistic i mean talking about guys like Giannis Dubo Bamabio even guys like Miles Turner or Walker Kesler probably not going to happen unfortunately and if we’re talking about realistic ideal trade targets for the team we definitely have to turn it down a notch no not to targets like Brook Lopez or Clink Capella yes they’re realistic but wouldn’t call them the top of the iceberg for an ideal trade target or simply a target for their team those are free agents but if we’re talking about ideal trade targets and guys that would address their needs I think we can go a little bit deeper than that and according to Yoan Buha the Athletic there are two guys that would actually fit their needs perfectly would actually be realistic for their team too and I happen to agree with him citing both Nick Laxton and Andrew Wiggins saying they are the best realistic players the Lakers could get for each of their two big holes which both he’s agreeing with and I think as well are number one a center for their team at the current moment they don’t have a center on their contract unless you consider Maxi Cleba and then number two a bigger 3 and D wing that actually does both the three and D part of the 3 and D not like Rui Hatimra who does the three-point shooting part or Jared Vanderbilt who just does the defense part but in actual true 3 and wing a guy that could balance out their starting lineup and actually make a starting lineup with all three of Luca Donuch LeBron and Austin Reeves work a guy that could be a scoring option for them behind those three a guy that could play both on the ball and off the ball and then be their primary defender in their starting lineup and according to Yvan Duha which again I also agree with that guy might be Andrew Wiggins an ideal trade target for their team that actually would be realistic in my opinion so with that in mind here are they actually attainable and are they both attainable in the same offseason with the Lakers current trade assets we’ll talk about that and why it actually could be a possibility for their team and to begin I think we got to talk about the players we’re looking at here and what the pros and cons are to their game i mean after all any player the Lakers could target let alone two in the same offseason won’t be perfect and have absolutely no flaws we got to realize that I see again many fans that want the absolute tip of the iceberg the best players that have very few to any flaws and not giving up much to get them but simply put that’s not going to happen we’re not playing NBA 2K here with the trade sliders turned all the way down we’re actually trying to make a realistic trade work and one that could benefit their team and also the other team so they would actually accept the trade offer and well for Nick Laxon definitely would address their number one need and that’s simply being a reliable center option one that can be a good defender is a former top 10 fans in defensive player of the year voting back in 2022 23 is a good rebounder despite what a few comments might say i mean any guy grabbing roughly 11 rebounds per 36 minutes is not a bad defender or anywhere near it and then simply in regard to versatility is a versatile defender that can defend and switch one through five which not many true centers can say that about so definitely could address their need at center and specifically on defense then offensively might not be the best or most versatile offensive center but is a good long threat and that’s what the Lakers want to pair with Luca Donuch so he would have that covered then on top of that does have some skill with the ball does he have the ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim even bring the ball up the floor following a rebound and that would apply pretty nicely to the Lakers offense in my opinion however he does have consier and both on the court and off the court no not in regard to an attitude problem but the contract that would come with him i’m not going to say it’s a terrible contract i don’t believe that and anyone saying that doesn’t really understand the salary cap or the NBA’s future salary cap and the trend it’s been going with with pretty much every year being a 10% raise the maximum allowed raise per year and that’s been pretty much every year consistently for 5 years now and with Nick Claxton having a descending contract yes he did make 27.5 million last season but it’s dropping down to 25.3 million this season 23.1 in the season after that and then finally in 2027 28 down to only 20.9 million roughly only 10% of the salary cap projected in that year so yes you definitely can make a team work with Nick Claxton taking up only 10% of your team’s salary cap in the final year of that contract although I still would call it a minor problem not in regard to how much money he makes per year but more so about what it would take to get him through a trade and make the money work in a trade for Nick Claxton with the Lakers that would mean trading either both Maxi Cleba and Gabe Vincent or then having to trade either Jared Vanderbilt or Ruachimra which they either don’t want to do or the Nets don’t want to take back in a trade in regard to Jared Vanderbilt reports say that he’s a negative trade asset and even specifically from Yvon Buha that the Nets probably wouldn’t want him in a trade so that’s one problem then add in I guess the free throw shooting with him also another problem with him i will admit that is not a good free throw shooter you know he won’t have a problem defensively in the fourth quarter but he might have a problem with free throw shooting in the fourth quarter so that is one thing to point out with him again I think you shouldn’t point out every flaw and simply take that and run with it got to factor in both the pros and cons and I think the pros do outweigh the cons with Nick Laxon but there definitely are some cons with him as well overall though with Nick Laxon I think they would be getting an athletic vertical threat that does match the timeline of Luca Donuch and would not cost that much to a trade albeit with the contract and the free throw shooting as cons with him but then for Andy Wiggins not a problem with free throw shooting but there is a slight problem with the contract also wouldn’t call it a terrible contract but also not a very good contract next season he is set to make roughly $28.2 million then with an additional year after that one roughly 30 million in that season and for Andrew Wiggins I’m not sure he’s quite worth that amount definitely is a talented player and is a true 3 and D option coming off a season of averaging 18 points per game four and a half rebounds per game roughly three assists per game one steal per game shooting 45% from the field and 37.4% from three has become a very reliable three-point shooting option roughly 38% dating back to 2020 2021 has filled a primary 3 and option role on a championship caliber team with Golden State is still a very capable player and could still fill that role for a team in my opinion so I think he’d be a good trade option but the contract is not the greatest and there is some downside in regard to age I guess isn’t an old player by any means but not as young as Nick Claxton is 30 compared to Claxton being 26 not exactly on the timeline of Luca Donuch kind of in the middle between Luca Donuch and LeBron’s timeline wiggins probably having roughly 2 to four years left in his prime two on the more positive side four on the more optimistic side but somewhere in that timeline and to make it work in a trade for him it also would cost quite a bit definitely more than it would cost for Nick Claxton which really isn’t that much in my opinion for Andrew Wiggins it actually would take a true trade asset for them which would almost certainly be Ru Hachimra i mean if their Kenro plays Sachimur in the starting lineup then they’re probably going to be trading him for that player they trade for and that does happen to Riander Wiggins the trade would probably look something like Rui Aimra Gabe Vincent and then with the Claxton trade if we’re trading for both Wiggins and Claxton then we would have to be trading Maxi Kibba and Jared Vanderbilt but for the wing and straight again would be Ruachimra then Gabe Vincent as I think the Miami He would prefer him compared to Maxi Cleba then a future first on draic swap and again I think it definitely is a good fit and would be a worthwhile trade for them to make but it still would hurt trading Ru Hatchima in regard to both what he’s done for their team in regard to how much the fans like him and then about the chemistry with their team it would be giving up a little bit but talking about Wiggins and how much better of a fit for the team he would be in my opinion is the much better defender not even an argument there in my opinion not even close is even the better scoring option roughly equal in regard to three-point shooting when you factor in the higher volume that Wiggins takes him at Hutchimura taking roughly four per game compared to Wiggins taking roughly six per game last season at a 37.4% 4% clip and then even regard to simply making their starting lineup work and the fit between it is an upgrade in that regard too so yes there are cons with them the salaried being a little bit overpaid in my opinion is older than both Nick Claxon and even Ru Hatchima for that fact not quite on the timeline of Luca Donuch more for a short-term upgrade rather than a long-term fit and building their team from a 5 to 10year standpoint but I think it would be worth it nonetheless again we are not playing NBA 2K here got to have a little bit of give with the trades we make and the guys we’re trying to trade for they’re not going to be perfect in fact we actually need that if you’re talking about trying to trade for the perfect player without any flaws and that top tier trade target that’s Laker’s entire trade asset pool going to that one player if you would even be a possibility but if we’re talking about trading for two players not just simply one of them two guys that address their needs and are good fits for their team they have to be flawed whether that’s their contract whether it’s their age or whatever it might be they have to be flawed for the Lakers limited trade asset pool to be able to get two of them that directly address two of their biggest needs and in my opinion that’s where Nick Claxton and Andrew Wiggins come in the contract to both of them maybe the free throw shooting or whatever minor flaw or little complaint you want to find with them yes they definitely have some flaws compared to other perfect or dream trade targets per se but that actually helps Lakers out and actually makes it possible to trade for both of them directly addressing two of their biggest needs and actually being a realistic pathway in a trade scenario for their team and with their limited trade assets so with that in mind here what do you guys think how do you feel about an off seasonason of trading for Andrew Wiggins and Nick Claxton to address the Lakers needs and with their current trade asset pool do you like it or do you not like it and if you don’t like it what would be your actual better more realistic pathway for them to take as I’m genuinely curious let me know your thoughts in the comments down below but I think that’ll pretty much do it for this one and if you enjoyed the video then I’ll greatly appreciate it if you dropped a like subscribe to the channel if you have not already and hit that 1. What would your "perfect realistic offseason" trade look like for the Lakers? Comment down below!

Thanks for watching! Don't forget to drop a like + subscribe if you enjoyed ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I dont think we can afford both andrew wiggins and claxton I would love it but I think claxton will rightfully cost us a minimum 2 of rui, dalton and the 1st. possibly all 3.

So instead of andrew wiggins I would go after matisse thybulle and robert williams for a package around expirings and swaps.

Would give us that perimeter defender we need and a back up big thats better than clint capela (When healthy)

  3. Stop with Claxton wrong for 2 major reasons first he is 215lbs and second he costs 28m. Can't go against big 250+ centers and way too expensive for his cost. Kessler costs less than 5m bigger and better rebounder. Sure you'll say he is not available well trade AR and Maxi + for Kessler and Collins solve most of our problems add Bruce Brown and we still have Rui Gabe Vando

  4. I'd have no problem getting rid of Vincent & Milton. Guys havent done anything or at least when it matters compared to Hachimura. He's off limits in trading to me.

  5. Propaganda stuff conditioning fans to accept lanky overpaid low rebounding Hack-A-Claxton. Let's be real the Lakers will be worse with Hack-A-Claxton as the problem still exist who's their center in the 4th Qtr and playoffs when he is being hacked to brick free throws

  6. lebron paycut
    trade for lonzo
    trade for claxton
    sign capela vet min
    sign naw mle
    sign gary trent vet min
    luka,naw,dfs,bron,claxfon
    lonzo,reaves, rui,vando,cap

  7. if this can be pulled off without losing reeves, thats incredible. if we need to lose reeves, id want more.

  8. if we can get these guys without trading reeves, whats to say we don't do this, then toss in reeves + our 1st, and aim for a kessler or similar while signing a few vet min contracts. would love paul leading a second unit (don't know if that can happen). Also a ballhandler that can fill in for bron/luka when rest is needed, but also understands tempo & can maxamize a second unit, again why i instantly think of paul on vet min.

    Kessler (probably my ideal target)
    Lebron
    Wiggins
    Luka

Claxon and/or Williams — turner is probably the tier above, and we're priced out.
Reeves / knecht / CP3 / lonzo? (would need to get rid of reeves for any of the above to happen imo, kessler specifically, the question is could we support losing reeves with the vet min of CP3 or lonzo? can Knect take a bigger step?)
    herb? long-shot
Chris paul? (vet min) – would need massive buy in
Capella? (vet min) – possible? Can't be worse than jax can he?
lonzo ball (2 year contract focused on payed to play, low on guarentees) or a 1+1 show me?

    – i know we need shooting, but if lebron / luka playing on ball, bringing it up, thats 2 of the greatest of all time in bball iq, having the ability to get a 3rd leg there at the vet min in chris paul, i see as absolutely huge… always having correct pace, elevate everyone around them, and i think lebron and luka would be very comfortable there playing with the other and so forth, dictating rhythm, and allowing flexible coaching on-court changes.

Let go of Rui, all firsts and swaps, reeves if it makes sense (highest value is now, inevitable we will need to get rid of soon) hopefully for t1 center, jax hayes later doggie, and everyone else not in the starting 5 outside of knecht, and bronny.

[hottest take]: is there ever a scenario where a giannis says im only playing in LA and forces the trade? will we even be able to make salaries match if that 1%er did come to fruition?

All in all, i think we will be a better team than last year for sure. But its the years ahead too, while also maxamizing whats left of lebron's window. we've already got the most we can out of reeve's contract – now we need to extract that trade value.

  9. If we can't get Nic Claxton then Jalen Duren would be my 2nd option. He is a Ball Skilled center who can push the ball and can contribute Defensive Rebounds. ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿฆพ
The kid got all the tools for the Lakers ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›

  10. Honestly if you have to give up reaves, rui and some picks to get both of them i would do it, reeves skill in this team is kind redundant, wiggs and clax would literraly solve all their problems besides the bench

  11. Wiggins and Claxton without giving up AR or Dalton is actually the optimal (reasonable) offseason for the lakers. Get another center in the draft with Hayes as a proven lob threat if he is ever needed (he gets too much hate for a >2mill a year contract, he played well well above that last season). Or pick up Capela as your backup for something more traditional and proven.

  12. Thanks for the analysis! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). How can I transfer them to Binance?
