Lakers Are The Orlando Magic Best Trade Partner! MAGIC Must Shed Salary

what’s going on everyone so one of the teams that could potentially solve a lot of needs for the Los Angeles Lakers are the Orlando Magic now we know Orlando they’re probably going to make some other moves right ideally for them and their pursuit to compete in a very wide openen Eastern Conference right you have the Boston Celtics who are probably going to be in a little bit of a a hiatus year they’re looking to maybe trade some key pieces on that roster and kind of retool uh you know obviously you’ll have Cleveland and Indiana and the Knicks but Orlando very well could be in the mix of it they went and got Desmond Bane who is an excellent pickup for them kind of fits a big need and a big role for that team um but Orlando’s a team that they have to and I mean like as soon as this trade deadline at the latest have to make some moves to potentially shed some salary and the reason for that is that they are 17 million under the second apron so they’re fine right now but Paulo Beno is going into a contract year they’re going to have to pay him and it’s very possible depending on how this year shapes up he could end up uh you know being all NBA something like that so he’s a guy that’s very likely going to make 40 plus million a year which means that they would be potentially very heavily and that’s just counting him very heavily into that second apron right so they’re a team that may have to make some decisions and look they just traded for Desmond Bane so obviously he’s going to be a big piece paulo Beno France Wagner right they have those three guys as like their core right beyond that it’s just kind of what direction do they want to go with certain guys right like what guys do they value over others right what is the approach and I’ve talked about you know Orlando potentially being the best trade option for the Los Angeles Lakers well could the Lakers maybe work something out to get one two three pieces uh from a team like the Orlando Magic who the Lakers by the way could end up being Orlando’s best friend one Lakers have made several trades throughout the history with Orlando right and two the Lakers have the expiring contracts so it’s like hey you’re going to have to pay Paulo Beno well we can trade you you know Rui Hatimura and Maxi Kleba and some of these guys right obviously they’re not going to want to get rid of any of like the key core guys but like a Jaylen Suggs could you maybe get a Jaylen Suggs who’s making you know 30 plus million a year and it’s like you know hey maybe get off his contract yes he’s excellent defensively but you need better playmaking right like you you could probably use a better kind of you know playmaker you have the defense you have all those things you know would they maybe part with a Jaylen Suggs even not right like okay well window Carter Jr right he’s a guy that’s inching into a contract so you know could you maybe get him right goa is another piece maybe you could just solve your center position in that manner right or you know Jonathan Isaac is another guy that I’ve talked about right jonathan Isaac I think would be great if you could get Jonathan Isaac and Wendell Carter Jr and now you have that just versatile switchable defensive wing that’s 610 that could slot in basically three through five for you and be that defensive piece and then go get that you know center essentially and they still would have multiple guys that they could have i mean if they want to keep Goa they’d have Goa they have Mo Wagner right they have several guys that they could still have not counting you know whatever other moves and trades or anything else that they potentially do right orlando’s pro again Orlando’s probably gonna maybe make some other trades but regardless they might need to make those trades to shed salary now again they don’t have to necessarily do it this offse or at this off season right they could kind of go into the year evaluate see what kind of guys they they really want to stick around okay you know maybe you know they’re like “Hey you know what goa’s taking some strides or Wagner’s taking some stride or maybe a center becomes available that they just like more than those guys so maybe Lakers get involved right like I’m not saying that necessarily Orlando has to do and make these moves this off season right but come the trade deadline it’s a very real possibility right it’s very possible that Orlando is one of those teams that we should keep an eye on now obviously it depends on what the Lakers do till that time right now if you can make some moves with Orlando right now then make the moves with Orlando right now but there’s also a real potential that you know they don’t want to do anything like that like any salary shedding moves or anything until they kind of evaluate this year with a Desmond Bane you know with a full year of like everybody together half a year whatever and and where are they at in the standings and whatnot but it’s a very real possibility right and then at that point the Lakers could end up being a team that they might have already solved everything right if they already go trade for Nick Claxton well then you don’t really need a go and a and a window Carter Jr right like but again maybe you could go work out a Jaylen Suggs do you look to maybe take Austin Reeves and go hey again you got a Desmond Bane you got you know all these defense you got guy like you know what you could use is a better playmaker right the problem is is a lot of the offense kind of flows through Fron as well as Paulo Beno right like so Jaylen Suggs operates as their point guard but he’s not out there you know wheeling and dealing like he’s not like the the playmaking point guard right because he’s just basically the guy that will bring the ball up be the initiator it’s part of the reason why they went and got a guy in Desmond Bane who can make some moves or make some plays for others as well right like he’s not Austin Reeves level but he’s a guy that can you know run the basics do the basics right be a sween man um but a lot of their offense just runs through when uh um Paulo Beno and you know uh uh France right so you know would somebody like an Austin Reeves be necessary for them right where but again their playmaker or the lack thereof has been kind of a question mark it’s been one of the bigger question marks for that team the last few years as they’re kind of trying to figure some stuff out making some tool moves and whatnot right it’s just it’s what are the value on certain guys like how do they value guys but like Wendle Carter Jr they were you know there was trade talks last off season around the trade deadline right to where you know hey maybe he could be an option right jonathan Isaac we know that they’re shopping like they’re shopping guys for sure so it’s like could maybe potentially um the Lakers kind of make a play i if I’m Rob Pelinka I am at least picking up the phone if I’m Rob Pink I’m at least like hey you know like where are you at with Jonathan Isaac where are you at with you know a window Carter Jr is there maybe something there that we can kind of work on right cuz again like you Lakers have exactly what Orlando needs yes they don’t have all the picks and all this other stuff but it’s like hey your biggest need is to shed some salary your three main guys are Fron Bane and uh Paulo fine keep them we don’t we’re not after any of those guys but what about all the other guys right jaylen Suggs is the guy I’d really try to get after i mean you’re talking about one of the best on ball defenders in all of basketball one of the best guard defenders in all of I mean he is ideal slotted in next to Luca i mean that’s the guy like that’s the guy really like if you could get a Jaylen Suggs and a window Carter Jr I’d probably give up whatever you have to to go get those guys right because again Jaylen Suggs gives you that legit 3 andd style guard that’s slotted alongside Luca and LeBron that can initiate like he is everything this team needs literally and then go get a guy on Carter Jr who gives you that skilled big that can do you know multiple things and it’s like hey Jaylen Suggs got multiple years on his deal making 30 plus million you’re going to have to pay Winnow Carter Jr here pretty soon you’re going to be I mean just just Paulo Beno’s deal alone is going to put you in the in the second apron just his deal alone is going to put you in that luxury tax right so you know are you going to be one of the highest payroll teams in all the basketball is like the fourth team in in in the east right like no I just can you can you kind of spin it in a way to where maybe they they’re willing to but again it’s just would they would they make those moves right now is the question maybe right maybe they you know a lot of teams they want to get their roster set a lot of team you know especially a team Orlando that’s trying to be in the mix in the in the Eastern Conference and be a team that maybe can go on a run like Indiana and now we’re in the NBA finals right orlando’s a team that’s trying to make some strides to do that so it might be in their best interest to go you know what let’s get all this stuff out of the way now so that way we can you know get into the season and our teams in order and then if we have to make if we want to make any minor move we want to make any minor changes then we can do as such right rather than like okay we’re going to go in you know to the season and then now we’re going to make a big swing trade or a big move or whatever they they might look at it in the sense of like hey let’s just let’s kind of get who we’re having this season together right let’s get that right and then kind of take it from there right it’s just what would that team want what would that team be looking for right i think a Ruy Hachimura makes some sense as a guy off the bench for them um like obviously Austin Reeves makes some sense uh you know they don’t really need guards their guard play is pretty good outside of like I said in Austin Reeves just because you know the the playmaking right so like a Gabe Vincent I don’t really think makes sense for them but if they’re trading a big man maybe a Maxi KBA floor stretching one of the things that they need desperately is three-point shooting right so you know a maxi cleba Dalton connect is a guy that they could really use right so maybe you could kind of do something work something out where you know you’re adding like hey you need more shooting here’s another shooter in Dalton connect who’s young and can be a foundation piece and is going to be cheap for the next few years for you right so maybe that could be an incentive like hey we got some expiring contracts or you can get you Dton Connects contract right and you know that’s the equivalent of a first and all that stuff maybe you give up some other assets again it’s just to me it just depends on you know what what is Orlando looking for outside of shooting all right and cuz I I don’t think that they’re just going to want a pure salary shed but again if they’re if they’re not where they want to become the trade deadline it’s possible anyway as always this is a discussion best question to you let me know your thoughts and opinions down in the comments that being said if you 1. You Lakers fans are delusional as hell. There’s no way the Nets will trade any of the picks they have in the first round to you guys.

  2. If you look all the good teams they have a shooting big but wendall had a down year on defense and he didn’t shoot well so would u go Jonathan Isaac n goga or Isaac and wendall and they draft a shooting big with 55 like maxime raynaud

  3. Lakers better call and asked for a trade package for Issac, Houston and Harris. Harris can defend and creat his own shot and for others. Houston is 6’8 he hits the three and he can defend. And Issac his Vando just with a better offensive upside and is 7 tall.

  4. Marcus Smart could be a option. Maxi, Vando for Smart could work. Also, Gabe and 1st could be enough to get Wendell Carter Jr. Orlando only has 1 pg now

  5. Gary Harris is a free agent now. Orlando declined his option. We may not get our center at a discount. But we could get our 3 and D guard at a discount

  6. Hear me out, really hear me out.

    3 team Trade!

    Wizards, Lakers, Heat

    Wizards- Love, Kleber, DK,

    Heat- Rui, Vando😢, Vincent, Milton

Lakers- Wiggins, Smart, Highsmith, Bey, 25 1st via WAS (18)

    Why would they do this?

Heat – Riley stated that the team wanted to shake things up bit, this trade does just that.

Rui actually being able to get minutes in at the 4 with Bam/ Ware at the 5, the floor spacing would be crazy.

Tell me Vando isn't the type of player that would embody "Heat Culture" they'd absolutely love him. Really would rather not trade him but at least he'd be in the east lol.

Gabe is familiar with the franchise and is highly respected there so yeah welcome home.

    Wizards!

They want to get off of the Smart & Middleton contracts but in order to do so I think they'd be more than open to move the (18) pick for a player like DK.

They get Love & Kleber in to make the money work, just to reroute both by the deadline for maybe a 2nd a piece.

    Lakers!

Win now mode and need two athletic players to cover for the less fleet of foot.

Wiggins & Smart are both gritty enough defensively to cover for AR & Luka night in and out.

Smart is on an expiring contract and will be back on a big stage to show he still belongs. Injuries are definitely a concern, but under the circumstances I would bank on the positives and just hope we can get him for the majority of the season and playoffs.

Wiggins not much to say he's fills a major need and would excel as the 4th guy.

Bey was injured the entire year but it was stated that he would be ready to go at the start of the season. At 6 million I'd take a chance on his upside/versatility off the bench.

Haywood Highsmith another dog for the depth purposes he fights defensively and is solid spotting up from 3.

Lastly I feel that taking on the Smart could net us a 1st especially since we essentially gave them one in DK.

    Luka, Smart, Wiggins, Bron, (18)
    AR, Good, Bey, DFS, Kolo/Jem
    Bronny, Highsmith

Lakers just became one of the deeper teams overnight.

    FA- Capela or Brook
