The Ace Bailey Dilemma.
the Ace Bailey dilemma is no doubt the biggest story of this year’s NBA draft and today it just got a whole lot weirder so yeah a report came out today that Bailey has been refusing to work out with certain teams and the reason is because he wants to go to a team with a clear pathway to stardom sort of sounds like what Alex Sar did last year and here’s the thing about Ace Bailey he is no doubt one of the most talented guys in this draft i mean 68 freaky athlete threelevel score he’s the kind of guy you build on 2K he also has tunnel vision bad shot selection a loose handle and struggles to finish at the rim i mean look there’s a reason why I currently have him eighth on my big board there’s also a reason why VJ Edgecomb is now the pretty heavy favorite to be the Sixers pick at number three on Colch and Bailey to go sixth to my Wizards is picking up steam code Drew Fenny if you want to trade on the draft in all 50 states so if you’re a GM what do you do because Bailey is either going to be a worse MPJ or he’s going to be prime Paul George i don’t know if there’s any in

i wouldn’t even say his floor is mpj his floor is kyle kuzma. because mpj atleast is an elite shooter. kuz just does this and that on the court
Did he not learn from Shadeur?
He will not get a second contract.
Kyle Filipowski/Cam Whittier 2.0
MPJ is a champion 😂
Terrible comparison once again.
I’m a Lakers fan. I know they’re not in the lottery but do you think they have a chance for getting Walton Clayton Junior, if not, who do you think they will draft?
so rj barrett?
He’s got good defense, can score at every level, is one of the most talented mid range scorers I’ve ever seen coming out of college, and solid athleticism. But horrible basketball IQ, is 3 whole inches shorter than advertised, which can turn prospects from unicorns to Cam Reddish, and can’t playmake if his life depended on it
Though, watching him at Rutgers, he definitely seemed to be getting better game by game. He seems pretty coachable, and willing to put the work in. Plus, on the Shot Selection side of things, Rutgers sucked. No one was doing anything save Dylan Harper. There was no one to draw defensive attention.
If he can fix his flaws, then he has real star upside. And I think he can. If not, an inconsistent role player that can give you good rebounding and defense every night and twenty every other night is not horrible. Think big Harrison Barnes. Definitely top 5, and I think we are all overthinking it.
Star will be star in any team
I mean okay, it's seems pretentious, but like my counterpoint is the Hornets where like you had a team with no veteran presence, and Miles Bridges STILL plays for them. I can't even say The Suns have no idea what they're doing because even if they didn't, by sheer random chance they would fall ass-backwards into something, and they can't even do that. They might trade KD for literally some (definitely not all) of their own picks back and draft what? Another Dragon Bender? Josh Jackson? What are the Blazers, Kings and Bulls even doing? I know it's football, but the last thing a player that definitely needs reps and development wants to do is end up in Caleb Williams situation where he's watching film by himself trying to get better being the only one that cares. It's not a red flag to want to be in a situation that fosters growth. It'd be a red flag if he wanted to play AAU ball on a bad team like Jalen Green did.
he seems like a really hard worker who believes in himself can’t see him not doing well at next level
I still think Sixers take him.
Never thought I’d hear someone say my wizards 💀
Anything to mention the wizards lmao
Ace Bailey is like a less athletic Andrew wiggins . Ace can end being worse or better but I’d say that’s a good draft comparison
Spurs r a good pick
I love how even after you named the downsides it still sounded like someone I'd build in 2K
He Will just be like Fred vanleet 😂 Fred averages like 19 a game on like 38% from the field and like 32% from 3
Superstardom=Wizardz or Hornets aka
honestly the media hates the sixers he's the only being shit on because other forces at play wants another team to draft him. it's called politics. same reason sixers traded Mikhail Bridges on draft night to the suns lmao who wanted him. and Boston had taytum "locked" in from the get go no team had a chance to draft him
ace and Jalen green, yall synced somehow?
He went to my school. Praying he’s good.
Not worth the attitude issue. Shouldn’t be so worried about your stardom if you’re that good
I mean I don’t blame him.
He’s not gonna be able to become a real star in SA with Wemby, Castle, and Fox already there. In fact he stands no shot of getting a max contract with SA.
Same for the 76rs they already Maxey and Embiid, Bailey would have no shot at a max contract much less a Super max.
He’s better off falling in the draft to a team where he could at least be the second option. B
he not that good
I think an MPJ floor is super generous, floor is bust, ceiling is is brandon ingram with ace, is that worth the 6th pick, i say yes if he falls.
He sounds like a player similar to RJ Barret ig
"Freaky Athlete"
-Andrew Fenichel
I feel like part of y people don’t like him is just because he played next to Dylan Harper
But if anything that should show u how good he can be around a guard and as a second option
He's such a Paul George Clone and I love/hate that
As a sixers fan I still hope we actually get Ace, with Maxey and others being back next year Ace could learn from being a rookie by having less shots and learn about shot selection and become a really efficient player (probably gonna take at least 1 and probably at least 2 years though)
I thought the sixers weren’t one of the teams he declined a workout from
Comment dickhead
Bro is baked🥀
You know why I know you got paid to run this propaganda
? Every single question mark you raised about Ace applies to VJ as well, excpet that I can come back with 10 more about VJ on your way. Yet you "selectively" led the focus on Ace, and "selectively" divert the negative attention away from VJ red flags.
That’s a chance u take lol
I find it hard to believe that harper and bailey are supposed to be top nba prospects yet the Rutgers were trash last year? That's a red flag to me like u can't have two NBA caliber guys (both projected top 3) and not have close to a winning record together
i’m going to be completey honest i don’t get why him and harper are so highly rated. they were on the same team and couldn’t even make march madness or the big ten tourney there both going to be busts
Ace Bailey should train with Carmelo in the summer, he’s elite in triple threat and can score with not too many dribbles, that should be his focus as he try to improve his handles but we’ll see in the long run
This dude like 18-19 years old and is raw asf putting up numbers , if he works hard and train he’ll be a star forsure
Sounds like a Ben Simmons character trait. I’d stay away.
8th on the big board is insane disrespect
as a born Spurs fan living in the DC metro area, getting Ace Bailey on the Wizards would be amazing. The one Spurs game I get to go to every year would be the Harper & Bailey reunion/battle
Big boom or bust prospect, He lowk ass just like that whole Rutgers team except Dylan harper
Pair him & Jordan Poole & go get some respectfully championship vets. Could be a fun rebuild
