so could the Washington Wizards be trading away Jordan Pool to the Miami Heats this 2025 NBA off season well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from Fadeaway World.net The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Miami Heat receiving Jordan Pool and the Washington Wizards receiving Terry Roier Haywood Highmith and a 2029 first round draft pick So I definitely do understand the Heat and maybe their want to go after a star player this off season Uh currently they are being linked and are sort of in the final three I guess you can say uh for the Kevin Durant sweep stakes with the Houston Rockets as well as the San Antonio Spurs So there’s a pretty good chance that he will go to one of those teams this off season Now in my personal opinion I’m not too sure if the Heat have the uh have the assets and have what it takes to acquire Kevin Durant So that’s where maybe pivoting to someone like Jordan Pool who may not cost them as much per se on the trade market could make some sense Now if you’re able to hold on to a lot of your you know core players which in this case you know Haywood Highmith letting him go not ideal as well as that first round draft in 2029 that’s pretty valuable as well but uh it definitely helps when you keep your current core intact uh you know in this case you know Jordan Pool would be teaming up with Tyler Herro and Bam Adobio and this definitely improves their team adds a little bit more flash to their team like offensively speaking Jordan Pool he brings a lot to the table uh you probably want him in more of a secondary role uh compared to where he kind of stands right now in Washington where he kind of is the primary guy there offensively speaking so if he were to play behind Bam Adobio and Tyler Hero and maybe be a third man on this team offensively speaking this could be a pretty cool fit for him Now if you’re the Wizards I actually do like this because you are capitalizing on Jordan Pool being a pretty good scorer and you’re getting back some future draft capital which helps their rebuild You’re getting back two pretty important veterans And like Haywood Highmith for example he’s a pretty good player He could definitely fetch a lot on the trademark if they were to flip him And same goes for Terry Roier If he were to go to Washington ball out they could flip him for some more draft capital So in my opinion it’s a pretty good trade for the Wizards Truthfully speaking if I’m the Heat I would try to get Durant obviously maybe some other players I won’t settle on Jordan P but for the most part not a terrible deal If I had to pick a winner for this trade I would probably side with the Wizards But as always leave your thoughts
