Kevin Durant Wants To Play For The San Antonio Spurs My Thoughts!!
yo what’s going on guys this houston sports talk back video today and today we’re going to be talking about the most recent kevin durant news i feel like i’m making a couple of these videos a day where it’s like the newest kevin durant news this the second time i’ve done this today i did one earlier when it was reported that the timberwolves had no or sorry that kevin durant had no desire to play for the minnesota timber and i’ve got one update for the san antonio spurs it was reported by the athletic that the team that kevin durant wants to play for and the team that his his or more i should have said this his top choice to play for is the san antonio spurs according to the athletic um you know i’m not shocked i mean it seemed like and this is what this was what one report had is that the knicks was the team that he wanted to go to they lost interest it didn’t seem like the knicks and something were going to be able to get a deal and then he picked the three teams that he would commit long term to that was the spurs the rockets and the heat and it seems like out of those three teams his top choice would be the san antonio spurs i think the team that they want to do a deal with at the phoenix suns is the minnesota turbull that’s why we heard they’re trying to get kevin durant to want to go to minnesota um because there were some talks about how they have a deal potentially a place where they’d give up where they where sorry where they get rudy gobear and um rudy goar and dante vicenzo i’m sure another player would be attached in that potential deal i think it’d be good uh i think it’d be good for the for the suns on for a couple reasons i think dante duchenzo would be a great addition next to deon booker but they really need a big man they they i’m not a huge fan of goar but i know he’s good defensively uh he’s he’s a good rebounder and you know i i think he could actually probably fit well with phoenix um and to get him and devontzo and some draft picks potentially and maybe another player uh with those two guys for kevin durant who is on expiring deal that might not be a bad trade um compared to maybe getting devin vel i mean you ask yourself would you rather devin vel jeremy sohan and harrison barnes with maybe pick 14 um in the spurs deal potentially or would you rather want rudy gobear dante chenzo let’s say maybe maybe you know phoenix gets one of terrence shannon jr or rob dillingham the two young players for uh the timberwolves and then multiple draft picks involved in that deal i don’t know it’s because it seems like they really want a big man and and want a big man for uh for um you know for kevin durant and i think it would make sense for minnesota cuz if you sign resign naz reed to a long-term deal and he finally gets to take over that starting role like he deserves then you know you’ve got a starting lineup of uh you know mike connley at point guard anthony edwards kevin durant julius randall nas reed um but you know i i don’t doesn’t seem like kevin durant wants to go to the timber wolves it seems like that’s the san antonio spurs is where he wants to go and i think you’re looking at maybe a devin vacel jeremy sohan harrison barnes pick 14 additional first and maybe multiple seconds for kevin durant potentially um i believe but we’ll see if if you know if the suns you know actually do what kevin durant wants like i i said this about giannis in the past the bucks if you’re if if if the if giannis requests a trade and he says i want to go here this is where i want to go and maybe even if you can get better somewhere else as long as you can still get a great a great package back for giannis you send him there because that’s where he wants to go you should respect him that much because you look at jan santoopo he has showed the bucks loyalty for his entire career and he’s brought them a championship i’m not saying anything bad about kevin durant i’m not going to say he hasn’t showed them loyalty um which i don’t i don’t know i i don’t know if i’d say he he has either but he he hasn’t brought them a championship i don’t think he’s done as much as phoenix has i don’t think he’s done as much for phoenix i mean the point where they’ve never made it past the second round with him i don’t think he’s done enough for phoenix to the point where you could look at it and say “well we should trade him here because this is where he wants to go.” even though maybe we can get a better package somewhere else like maybe they could get a better package from minnesota or houston instead of sending him to san antonio so that is something i i think about as well is like maybe san antonio is not the best package that you can get for maybe minnesota or houston’s package is better and even if durant i don’t i don’t think durant should be respected by the suns organization i’m not saying send the wizards i’m not saying send him to bad team but send him to a team that he can be happy on as long as it’s the best package for you maybe this person might might not be that um who knows but it it seems as that is his top choice is the san antonio spurs let me know your thoughts in the
