so could the Washington Wizards be trading away Jordan Pool to the Charlotte Hornets this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Charlotte Hornets receiving Jordan P and the Washington Wizards receiving Grant Williams Josh Green and a 2030 first round draft pick so just my immediate thoughts here is that I understand the Hornets perspective here in wanting to acquire a star player like this team in Charlotte has a pretty hard time attracting players through free agency their draft record you know for the most part hasn’t been that spectacular and they do have a pretty good young core right now uh with Brandon Miller as well as Lamelo Ball so if you want to add a third player a very polarizing player for that matter offensively speaking in Jordan Pool this could be a pretty cool fit or it could be a complete disaster one or the other it’s not just going to be okay no doubts in my opinion it’s going to be one or the other and I’m not too sure what this would look like like I understand the Hornets perspective here they want to get better they want to acquire players that they probably wouldn’t be able to acquire in free agency so Jordan Pool kind of fits the bill there like Jordan Pool offensively speaking he makes a lot of sense uh this could also mean that maybe they want to hand the keys off to Brandon Miller add Jordan Pool to the mix and maybe someone like the Mellow Ball is on the trademark and they can go ahead and flip him maybe get back some other assets in return just have a bit of a new look that way so this opens up the doors for the uh for the Hornets to go through a bunch of different moves this off season if they wanted to now if you’re the Wizards it’s honestly a pretty solid trade package all things considered uh that 2030 first round draft pick from Charlotte which historically speaking uh they’ve been out of the playoffs in the lottery consistently that could be a very good pick uh Grant Williams and Josh Green of course make the money work here but uh yeah I’m not 100% sure how a backcourt of LaMelo Ball and Jordan Pool would look like there’s only one ball split between these two players will contribute to winning basketball i don’t know your guess is pretty much as good as mine but you have to kind of respect it because if you are the Hornets you are acquiring a pretty talented player and that’s a hard thing for this franchise to get historically speaking here but uh if I had to pick a winner of this deal I’m going to bet on talent i’m going to go with the Hornets it opens up doors for some other things but as always leave your thoughts
