Bucks are AGGRESSIVELY building around Giannis

so the media’s basically given up on the idea that the Bucks are going to be trading Giannis seems like that’s almost definitely not going to happen unless there’s just some absolutely insane deal that’s offered to the Bucks doesn’t seem like Giannis is wanting out and so the Bucks are reportedly reportedly going to be aggressive this off season to build around Giannis which is interesting potentially exciting but has me a little bit nervous so I’m going to go through some mock trades from ESPN and give you my take on the Bucks being aggressive this off season i actually just recorded this video reacted to these and these trades are very interesting they’re pretty realistic to where I feel like they’re pretty even value and I’ve gone back and forth on all of them and I’m re-recording it because I’m back again to against what I was saying in the last time I recorded this and the reason being I think I’m actually against the Bucks being aggressive i’ve mentioned this in the past like I don’t think moving off Kyle Kosma right now is a good idea because I just think his values at the floor and I think that come trade deadline even if he does stink in the regular season a it will at least get a little bit different distance from the absolute catastrophe in the playoffs that was last year and also it’s just makes it so a team will only have to take on a year and a half of Koozma’s contract rather than two full years same thing with Pat Conetonin it’ll be much easier to move an expiring contract with half a season left than it will for an entire season paying Patton nine 10 million and so I’m kind of standing down on these moves but we’ll get into these in particular this one right here it’s like Wendell Carter who I’ve always been a believer in i believed in him coming out of the draft i thought that he would be like the next Al Horford like just a solid player and he is very solid when he’s healthy there’s a little bit of shades of El Horford but he hasn’t been quite that level i thought he’d be more like an 18 and 10 guy really he’s more of like a 15 and N guy and then he’s just hurt a lot too to where you can’t count on him so you know I thought he’d be a great player when healthy he’s just good and he’s just not healthy a lot so I’m not that interested in him uh Danmu I’m not even sure he’s better than Ryan Rollins i kind of feel like he’s the Bulls fans version of Andre Jackson where they just overrate him out the wazoo maybe they’re done doing that now but I remember they used to be spamming my chat talking about Dam who’s underrated i think I saw that from Bucks fans and to me he’s just like a worse shooting Ryan Rollins there’s not much there he’s fine he’s okay maybe he’s kind of good but he’s nothing he’s not that good um and then Jet Howard is actually a guy I kind of liked going into the draft he got drafted higher than I thought he would but there’s something there but I’m just not I don’t know if there’s much there and so I’m not giving up the 2031 first round pick a pick swap a second rounder and Andre Jackson to get mid overall backer return so I’m good on a trade like this even if it gets off Koozma i just don’t think that like you’re really going anywhere with that as your core and that and then having no more picks at all left and this is another one I’ve gone back and forth on but I just feel like for one I don’t think that this gets you over the top as I’ve said before and like the Nets would be still willing to move off of him I’m sure at the trade deadline and so I’d like to like kind of evaluate where the team’s at let the young guys go to start the season then throw away your last two picks for not a finishing move where there’s a tiny chance where Dame comes back off a torn Achilles and he’s the best version of himself because he’s not trying to do as much and you just get his shooting there’s that version and then Ryan Rollins develops cam Johnson at three Giannis at the four you figure it out at center somehow and maybe that’s a contender there’s a tiny chance of that but I’d rather start the season see what you have and then see what direction to go and make sense um you never know like what Andre Jackson would give you if he has the minutes you don’t know maybe he has a breakout i don’t believe in it but like you just don’t know um what you’ll have and so throwing away your last picks for a great role player but a role player like I think on a championship team he’s like your fourth best player and he’d be in the role to be the Buck second guy uh I I love getting off Kyle Kosma don’t get me wrong I do so I could be talked into that like I said last video I was for doing both these trades but then I’ve gone back and I’m like eh I just don’t like the idea of being aggressive right now for moves that could basically be the last moves that you have available to make by giving up your last picks for players that are very risky this is another one that’s very risky where I could talk myself into doing both those deals that’s what I did the last time I recorded i’m like “All right we give up those picks but we get a pick back.” We get Bradley Beal who’s at a low right now and he’s actually still a good player his numbers were even good last year he was just on a team with Devin Booker Tai Jones Kevin Durant they needed defense and not scoring and he’s a scorer the Bucks with Ryan Rollins Jericho Sims Andre Jackson they will just need scoring and I could see him going in there and and actually being really good and then you also get a pick that makes up for you throwing away your last picks so I can justify this and I’ll go back and forth on it but this time around I’m going to say no just because there’s still the chance that Damen Lord comes back and he’s better than Bradley Beal um but Bradley Beal only has two years left on his deal i would definitely prefer him to Kyle Koozma and so these are deals that I really am toward on and I can’t give a strong take either way hey I know most people would be strongly say keep me away but if it lets us bring back an asset and make the Koozma move a little bit easier then I could kind of see it a little bit um I could see that and I could see Bradley Beal I think he’s better than people think right now i think he’s like better than Zack Lavine who all the Bucks fans were clamoring for at the trade deadline look what happened when he left the Bulls they took off look at what happened when he came to the Kings they fell apart um but and you know Bucks fans were clamoring for him but it’s all about the right player at the right time um Bradley Beal not that long ago led a playoff team led the team to the playoffs and led the league in scoring he was in a bad situation not to just give him full on excuse but like to trade a player with a torn Achilles and then a guy that we don’t want in content and get a first round pick back it’s something to consider overall my point of this is it’s a risky offseason because you’re playing with not that many cards in terms of picks you don’t want to be super patient with Giannis in his prime but you don’t want to throw away your last assets for something you know isn’t like being a worldchanging move so boy am I could I go back and forth on what the Bucks should do but I would say John Horst don’t be so aggressive that you throw away any chance for the Bucks to contend in Giannis’s rest of his career by like throwing away our last picks for like a Demard Rosen or a guy that you just know is not a top tier championship piece so keep your ears open stay on those phones i’m interested in Bradley Beal maybe if we get two first round picks back but uh right now I’m not loving the outlook for mock trades that I’m seeing for the Bucks but let me know what you all think drop a comment
