welcome to another episode of just another year’s Chicago Bulls my name is Philip Charles Vanderhen the fourth and on this episode it is all about trades baby the Los Angeles Lakers sold bus family is selling to Mark Walters kickstarting that trade market and we’re going to be talking about Jaylen Green trade rumors as well as some Jonathan Kamingo ones as well on this episode of just another year Chicago Bulls if you think the Lakers being sold is a wild thing to hear hit that like button because I don’t know about you but I was like wait what no not the Lakers why crazy days crazy days here in the uh in the modern day NBA but maybe that means that you know maybe it means that the Ride Source might sell someday who knows i don’t want to get my hopes up but hey but will there be a ripple so the Lakers being sold to Mark Walter I would normally say that it’s business as usual because Mark Walter is not any different than the Bus family like you can’t you you shouldn’t expect anything to change you shouldn’t expect like it’s not like the Lakers are being sold to um a cheap family or a family that wants to peel back anything mark Walter wants to win for anyone that doesn’t know like he’s got his fingers in all kinds of different teams including the Los Angeles Dodgers and if you know anything about the way that they’ve been operating how they’ve acquired Show Atani as well as others they’re not afraid to pay to win and that’s why I think that Mark Walter if anything is going to expedite some of the uh requests if if it if it’s a money issue Mark Walter is going to pony up luxury tax whatever i I’m pretty sure you can expect him to pull the trigger so that’s why I say a Nicole Vousvich trade might have just gotten a lot easier with these guys um I do want to say before I before I expand a little bit more on these thoughts that the Bus family will forever be like NBA royalty dr jerry Bus is a legend and even though he’s no longer with us his daughter Genie has carried the title like a queen and I just wanted to I got to pay proper respects to the Bus family because they’re an amazing NBA family that we would love to have in Chicago and um you know proper send off to those guys uh Jeanie is still going to be acting as the I think it said their governor or something like that she’s still got a power position over there so good for her and uh it’s but it’s a new day in Los Angeles but with that being said like I said Mark Walter he’s going to pony up to win so if there was ever a question about Nicole Vousvich being traded to the Lakers um in terms of salary or in terms of money on the Lakers end I don’t think it’s going to be a question at all anymore um they’re going to say yes now is Nicole Vousvich the answer for what the Lakers want i don’t know vousvich is a hot name on the market right now believe it or not and I’ve heard his name mentioned with many other teams as well and in fact he’s a part of this next trade rumor that we’re going to get to but would you like to see the Bulls trade Vousvich to the Lakers why for S n for no um if it’s because you want him to go somewhere else go ahead and leave that in the comments and we’ll talk about it um all right so the next piece of this Jaylen Green a bull ah that came out of left field for me so we had a report um that Jaylen Green Well okay that Chicago is being considered in three team deals that would end up with Kevin Durant going to another team i seen one rumor where he was going where Durant was going to the Spurs and and the Bulls were the third team and then another where he’s going to the Rockets and the Bulls are the third team let me tell you I like these rumors because they all involve us getting rid of like Vousvich and another guy but so far like all the like mock trades I’ve seen out there have us getting back a really good player and a pick or two picks and I’m like for those guys here’s a here’s one such uh one such trade uh this is from Jake Weinback who is an NBA analyst and writer been covering the league since 2019 he’s worked for Fanid been featured on ESPN NBC SI he’s the real deal Lucille but right here what we’re going to talk about he has a three-team mock draft trade between Phoenix Houston and Chicago where the Rockets get Kevin Durant the Suns get Vousvich Jabari Smith Jr from the Rockets and Lonzo Ball as well as a number 10 pick from Houston and get this the Bulls would receive Jaylen Green and 2027 first round pick via one of those teams via Utah Cleveland or Minnesota from Phoenix are you kidding me like there’s reasons why this is a weird trade none of them have to do with the fact that it’s not a good deal for Chicago that is an absolute fleecing on our behalf like we send out like I love Lonzo i am a Lonzo fan i believe in Lonzo Ball and I think he has value but to get rid of him and Vousvich and no picks and receive back a firstrounder and Jaylen Green who has massive potential that is wild now here’s what I’m thinking though guys because this is still just a rumor and real quick we’re going to run through Jaylen Green stats 32 minutes 33 minutes a game we’ll round up there 21 points a game um in this was his fourth year in the NBA if I’m not mistaken yeah he’s 23 years old um yes this was his fourth season overall I think yeah he just completed his fourth season so 42% from the field 35% from downtown 81% from the line uh about four and a half rebounds three and a half assists a steal and about half a block a game so his Jaylen Green has started every single game that he’s been a professional he started since day one and he’s had various levels of of success but his rookie season he averaged 17 points a game then he averaged 22 19.6 and 21 so he’s been consistently around a 20 point scorer per game he shoots about 80% from the line on average so all of these averages are actually pretty much on par he hasn’t really taken a jump his second year he did average 22 which is his highest average um that being said he did average 21 this year on a much better Houston team this team was very good here’s the issue with Jayla Green he disappeared in the playoffs in the playoffs he was nowhere to be found in terms of the guy that he was in the regular season in the playoffs he averaged 13 points a game and only three assists and uh five he averaged a little more rebounds but he shot 37% from the field including 29% from three-point so he did not have the type of postseason performance that would indicate and this was his first postseason this year that would indicate that he’s a clutch player that being said he’s still very young he’s 23 years old like we can’t hold Kobe White to one standard and Jaylen Green to another they’re both very similar players and therein lies the issue with this trade rumor as much as I’d love to get Jaylen Green back for dang near nothing what does that do for Kobe White if we make this move the writing’s on the wall for Kobe at that point because there’s you could play Giddy next to Green and Kobe but you’d have a you’d be running a real small lineup like and it wouldn’t be the normal small lineup that Billy likes to run like if IO started with Gideon and Kobe you could justify that because of IO’s defensive versatility he can guard a three no problem to my knowledge Jaylen Green is not known as a great defender um I’ve got I I I really don’t think so um No no he’s he’s a scorer overall like I think he’s a decent defender but he’s not he’s not he’s not great at it cuz he’s not known for it and overall it just would it would be a very weird fit for him to be with Kobe so I don’t know if these trade rumors are real but I’m inclined to believe that they’re just that rumors i don’t know if you know it says in this tweet I’m bring it back up it says in this tweet that the Suns have been exploring his value in case they’re able to get or the Green’s value in case they can get a deal done with Houston for Durant but I don’t know if that means that Phoenix wants him back or if they’re exploring his value in terms of the other teams that might be interested to make this deal work um I feel like a deal like this would somehow end up involving Kobe because how do you trade for Jaylen Green with while keeping Kobe unless you’re going to deal him later i don’t know i just I I I don’t know and I really don’t know if I like Jaylen Green instead of Kobe like we’ve watched Kobe grow every year while being while being given different roles and he his year this past year is better than anything that Jaylen Green has done so far that said Jaylen Green is younger so it’s it’s a catch 22 um but it is exciting to see the Bulls in these rumors i’m very happy that they’re at least being talked about it seems like we’re being active we’re in the conversation guys are going to get moved especially Vousvich it’s just a matter of to whom we also heard I have a I have a quick report here from uh from Anthony Slater or no sorry Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report believes that the Chicago Bulls are one of the logical landing spots for Jonathan Kaminga so again we’re being talked about in the in a and that’s another if it’s if we’re going after Kaminga that might be where Vousvich is going so if if you can believe it Bulls Nation Nicole Vusvich is the lynch pin right now that is holding all of these trade talks in the NBA together when he goes a lot of other dominoes seem like they might fall along after that so whether or not where where Nicole Vousvich goes is the burning question amongst NBA fans everybody nobody including Vousvich himself would have ever thought that’d be the case but that’ll do it for this episode just talking about some trade rumors i will have Rebold number 11 coming for you soon
