Will JOHNNIE BRYANT be the next NEW YORK KNICKS head coach?

i do believe the New York Knicks have a real plan i don’t know why anybody thinks differently i know everybody’s sitting here right now and thinking “Hey the Knicks reached out to Jay Wright or Danny Hurley or Rick Patino.” The only reason why they reached out to them is because they’re considered New York guys they’re from this area and we all know Patino actually had this do job danny Hurley’s from Connecticut he grew up a Knicks fan so and Jay Wright the Villanova Knicks you have all these Villanova players so you would have thought I didn’t think Jay Ry was coming out of retirement there was no chance he was doing that as far as the other teams like Jason Kidd if Jason Kidd was available to interview with the Knicks he’d probably get the job because the Knicks are trying to get Giannis so I don’t believe that the Mavericks will give the Knicks an opportunity to interview Jason Kidd because they have control of where they believe Jason Kid should go so I I don’t I didn’t think Billy Donovan he’s from this area is from Long Island New York i didn’t think if the Knicks really wanted a New York Long Island guy you should have went after Kenny Atinson last off season he was the best available coach he went to the Cavaliers now he fell short obviously against this Indiana Pacer team nevertheless he had a great season he had one of the best records in the league this coach search I do not want Mike Brown stay the hell away from Mike Brown i do not want him i’ve seen him enough with the Cavaliers i’ve seen him enough over there with Sacramento if you want to go after a guy like Taylor Jenkins he’s an interesting guy he did a very good job over there with the Grizzlies the Grizzlies should have never fired him but again the guy that I’m looking at is Johnny Bryant and I think that is the guy the Knicks are obviously staring at and and believe they’re going to get now they’re going to Everybody thinks that the Knicks are stupid and even if the Knicks go with Johnny Bryant the Knicks are still going to look like a bunch of idiots because they went to the Eastern Conference Finals they fired the coach that got them there they’ve had the best record the teams had or for the last five years in their existence over the last 25 years they’ve made run after run in the playoffs and fell short going as further as far as they’ve gone this this season and now you’re going into an offseason where you’re questioning where do they go do they go with a veteran coach like Mike Malone or Taylor Jenkins or Mike Brown or do you go after the rookie and and bring in a Johnny Bryant where a lot of people are going to be questioning why didn’t you just fire Tom Tibido and hire Johnny Bryant why are you waiting this long to make the hire it makes the Knicks look like a stupid organization because everybody knows they’ve targeted a bunch of coaches they wanted to interview for the job but they already know who they were going to hire mike Malone it doesn’t seem like was the guy because if Mike Malone was the guy they would have hired him already it seems like Johnny Bryan is the guy that they’re going to hire but right now what they’re trying to do is interview guys so it doesn’t look like the Knicks didn’t have a plan but now they look like they didn’t have a plan and they’re still going to hire Johnny Bryant and they’re going to look like an idiot organization because they parted ways with a coach that got him to the Eastern Conference Finals none of this makes any sense and what is the New York Post doing what are all these newspapers doing in magazines writing the New York Knicks the Daily News what they’re doing is they’re making the Knicks look like a half-ass organization run by a guy like James Dolan who’s been made fun of saying that he doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing he doesn’t know the position and staying away from the position as an owner to a GM he has Leon Rose who’s been getting a lot of the praise but now when the team is not doing or didn’t do what they were supposed to do with the team that they put together this off seasonason with Carl Anthony Towns and MueL Bridges they didn’t go to the finals when they had the best chance to get to that position so right now the Knicks are going to be the target of laughter the the target of jokes because right now the Knicks have not made a hire and they’re sitting here wondering if Johnny Bryan’s the guy i would like Taylor Jenkins over guys like Mike Brown even Mike Malone because Taylor Jenkins is still kind of a young guy he’s not an old gentleman mike Brown’s getting up there in age he’s closer to 50 right i obviously all know what Johnny Bryant is i think Johnny Bryant’s in his mid-40s right and again Taylor Jenkins I think is there too i think he’s in his mid mid-40s so you would want the younger guy you want to bring in the younger guy that could give you that that different outlook to your offensive side of the ball i also think that the defense they played throughout the playoffs did not work it didn’t work and you’re not going to beat Indiana that way you’re not going to beat the Caval Cavaliers that way if the Cavaliers were 100% healthy maybe the Cavaliers this would be the Cavaliers right now against the Thunder so I’m just saying it that’s been the problem and and that also has something to do with coaching kenny Atinson ran that team up and down the court all season long i think that got him tired and then obviously you saw what happened to Darius Garland at the end of the season throughout the playoffs a guy that couldn’t stay healthy and and that has something to do with coaching you you got to bring in the right guy the right guy has to fit the culture there johnny Bryant’s been there before he’s worked under Tom Tibido he understands the defensive side of the ball i think he’d be great over there for the New York Knicks and he’s done wonders for the Cavaliers who went from I think ranked defensively 13th or 12th last year to one of the top three defenses in the league this year i think you go with a guy like Johnny Bryant i think Johnny Bryant’s been there before he understands how he can run this offense in this defense i think he understands the game and the and the way the new style of basketball is played and I think if you have Johnny Bryant in this s this past series against the Pacers the Knicks probably make the series a little bit more closer because he would be telling his guys like OG Anobi and Muel Bridges fight through those picks fight through the picks don’t shift and transition from one player to another that doesn’t work in the NBA as you’re seeing right now what the Pacers are doing to Shay Alexander they have one guy sticking him on the perimeter if it shifts to another side or he’s moving up they have a big man taking him that’s what they’re doing but they’re doing it in such a good way where Shay Alexander doesn’t understand how the rotation is working and he can’t get those open three-point shots that he’s done over the last really for the last five years in the NBA they’re not going with Taylor Jenkins they’re not going with Mike Brown i know obviously the betting man will tell you that they’re going to go with one of these guys i think they’re only saying that right now because everybody doesn’t think that Johnny Bryant is the hot name nobody thinks “Oh you fired Tom Tibido for Johnny Bryant who’s never coached in the NBA before.” Nobody likes that hire but it seems like the more interesting hire out of all of this you’re going to bring in Mike Brown that’s an interesting hire nobody wants Mike Brown i don’t want to hear what he did with the Cavaliers i don’t want to hear about his background as an NBA head coach he’s not good he wasn’t good with San wasn’t he there at San No he wasn’t San Antonio he was an assistant in San Antonio he was an assistant in San Antonio golden State he wasn’t Golden State golden State that was where he was with Kenny Atinson and all that other stuff so I I just I don’t think he’s a good head coach and I I don’t the the hottest one out of all of this is Taylor Jenkins but I don’t think Taylor Jenkins has any background here in New York i don’t think he’s going to New York it makes a lot of sense what the Knicks are doing even though they look stupid right now they’re going with Johnny Bryant and it’s not Mike Malone anymore i thought it was Mike Malone it’s not going to be Mike Malone because if it was gonna be Mike Malone they would have hired his ass already well I like they’re doing their due diligence and asking about literally everybody that’s people that are already have jobs so even though it does look kind of ridiculous in the media to ask some these teams are just like “No of course you can’t talk to Jason Kid no of course you can’t talk to Eay Udoka no that guy’s a great coach we’re not g getting rid of him what are you talking about what are you even asking us?” It’s kind of ridiculous but you got to find someone it just I worry that they got rid of Tibs and they didn’t really have a plan on who who does it and whenever that happens it makes me think this was a James Dolan decision and not a Leon Rose decision he’s he’s worried about singing the blues with his band you know and a audience that he paid to be there you know and with a two drink minimum or something like that he doesn’t give a damn he he likes his teams to win he doesn’t know how to do it and then he meddles and he always screws it up i really hope he doesn’t screw this up i really want Taylor Jenkins if it was me i want an offensive coach bryant’s a defensive coach i want to see offense i want to see more than just Jaylen Iso and then hope that they just have like that that connection from Villanova days to make a good pass which they do every once in a while it’s just not good enough i think whoever it is they hire Errol has to answer this question in a job interview how do you hide Carl Anthony Towns on defense because the defensive system that Tom Tibido had exposed him especially in the playoffs because the switching now look you’re going to have to switch on a pick and roll that’s that’s part of basketball but you can’t if you’re going to switch every single guy and a coach like Carile is going to make you do that enough times to the point where Towns now has to step up on the perimeter now you look like an idiot or if Towns has to then rotate back you know he’s not going to rotate back fast enough so you have to come up with a better defensive scheme and I want to hear that as like the first order of business how are you going to protect our not so great defensive big and if the answer is I can’t I think you should trade him and this is what you should get that’s not maybe the wrong answer but I would like to hear a real answer from somebody because they got to come in with that answer i I I agree with you i think somebody’s going to have to come in come with an answer of Carl Anthony Towns i still don’t think Carl Anthony Towns is going to be a part of this team or this organization i think that the Knicks realize that Carl Anthony Towns is just going to be an offensive option and it doesn’t work with Jaylen Brunson on the court with him so if you’re going to get if you’re going to pay a guy 50s something million dollars to come off the bench to give you that secondary offense to be on that second team then you need to trade Carl Anthony Towns i think Giannis is in in the play in play for the New York Knicks the question is is Giannis gonna like Jenkins is Giannis gonna like Brian are is Giannis going to like any of these coaching options or do they wait until the draft is over and they run and gun for Giannis get Giannis and ask Giannis who he wants so I I don’t I don’t know exactly how the Knicks are handling this but I think they absolutely know where they’re going i don’t know why anybody thinks differently
