uh obviously rough result but sometimes even within the game of basketball there’s just like a bigger picture and I think tonight um it’s an honor to be able to give the game ball to a man that has played in his 17th season eight different teams 71 playoff games when we talk about like love and gratitude and controlling what you can control and embracing adversity um he’s been through it all and I think that it’s a testament to his hard work on and off the court that he’s still here standing he’s still evolving he’s still growing he’s pushing us all to be the best possible players and people that we can be and I mean as a first year head coach it’s like an inspiration to get to coach a guy like you and you’re still out here blocking shots and talking and bringing that professional attitude to our gym every day and I know from all of us in this organization we can’t thank you enough there is so much love and gratitude to you and you’ve given so much to this game even outside of the Hornets and the game of basketball and we just absolutely love you and thank you man [Applause] [Applause] first thing first I just want to just just thank y’all man every day I come in here I’m just so gracious and just to be around y’all just compete every day y’all make me feel like I was a rookie coming to this league i’m just so grateful i love y’all family on three forever man family family 1 2 [Applause] 3 man
