Desmond Bane TRADED to the Magic!
all right we had a bombshell this morning desmond Bane has been traded to the Orlando Magic here’s who I think won the deal so in case you missed it here are the full trade details and I’ve seen a lot of people calling this a fleece it’s not the healthy Desmond Bane is really really good can we also just stop being surprised at the trade value of 26-year-old top 50 players but like this was the Magic’s big move this is them pushing all their chips into the center of the table and saying “We think we can go win the title now.” And to that I’m kind of just like I don’t know and and why now paulo and Fron are still so young why not wait a year and see who else is available especially because I still think this team needed more of a true point guard and I don’t like Dezbane’s injury history and then for the Grizzlies it’s kind of sad that we never got to see this team fully healthy but also you can’t turn this kind of deal down this is great business oh yeah and the real winner here might just be the Milwaukee Bucks because this is a reminder of how much Giannis is going to

nah man. unless that player in question is getting mvp votes or at least all-nba im not trading 2 role players and FOUR 1ST ROUND PICKS for anyone.
I think that Bane is a really good fit with the two young stars in Orlando. I think he provides a layer of shooting that Orlando has lacked the whole Paulo era thus far. He also relieves ball handling duties for the pair and provides real playoff experience to a young squad.
Stop stop stop stop.
I think it has to do with the salary cap changes coming next year- he’s booked up for four years and they’ll have more money to spend next summer to add or extend someone
GIANNIS IS NOT 4 SALE
Mikail was a bad trade and this one is bad as well. Its just plain stupid. Two solid players and 4 first round pick for an injury prone slightly more solid player.
What are you talking about? If they wait a year, they wont be able to make a big move. Paolo’s max will kick in next year!
The Griz won. Bane for two solid role players and 4 unprotected 1st round picks? AND a swap?
Overpay, bane shoots terrible shots and doesn’t make them. He also isn’t a great defender
Bane is a sg
Suggs is the point
Dane puts up complementary numbers, but I don't think he has the cojones to win a title.
Idk bout the trade but 3-Rex is such a tuff ass nickname
As a magic fan I love this deal magic fans have been criticizing Jeff welt man (the gm) for years because we won’t do anything and I think that this was a great move and now we have a great core for at least 3 years and adding Clayton could make the team even better if he’s the next Peyton Prichard
This reminded me about how rudy gobery ruined the trade market a couple years ago
Fairly accurate grades my friend. If Bridges didn't get the Knicks past the Conference Finals, I certainly don't see Bane pushing the Magic further than the Conference Semis. My only argument would be Memphis deserving an A+ rather than just an A. Cole Anthony and 2(!) Firsts would have been an A.
A healthy Desmond bane is not even better than 2025 Bradley Beal
As a suns fan the suns need more assets and the rockets offer the most so go to the rockets kd
I don't think Orlando is done just yet i can see them making a another trade or if they went after chris paul for a solid PG
Going all in to be the 5 seed and get eliminated round one would be crazy
the grizzlies could offer Ja and edey for giannis ang 8 first
If the Magic stay healthy this year, they will eat the East.
This reminds me of the Knicks getting Jalen Brunson. In no way shape or form am I comparing the two players, but it feels like people are really underestimating Banes the way they did Brunson, and he's a solid player. He definitely helped me out this year on FanDuel
it’s not Desmond Bane that’s bad, or what they gave up for him, it’s who they could’ve got with all that. could’ve had Giannis or Ant with 4 firsts.
This is going to be a textbook example of why you don't trade for needs because you always overpay.
You trade for luxury, to go from good to great so the picks you trade away won't mean anything because it's a certainty you'll be a top seeded team. This isn't a 100% certainty for Orlando, considering their injury luck.
And considering the Mavs were a play-in team and just got the number 1 overall pick. If the Magic have bad injury luck and lose the play-in or don't make the postseason (unlikely) and the lottery balls bounce in the Grizzlies' favor, they can end up with a top pick.
