this is such a weird phenomenon now Wolf because it it’s um you know we’re early in the off season really but with the draft coming up next week and the expectation that the Suns are going to trade Kevin Durant this week it feels like we’re deep into this like it feels like man it’s Thursday like what a saga this has been it’s it’s June 19th i mean they don’t have to trade him until they don’t ever have to trade him please don’t say that we have a push point coming up here i We have a push point it’s the NBA draft it is a push point what do you think general managers out there they’re going to just blow right by the NBA draft without making a deal um oh I hope not i hope this is not the case Wolf this is Wolf’s way of saying he’ll be off next Thursday if there’s not a trade by next Wednesday and why couldn’t I have lost my voice next week at some point in time and travel amongst the Amish and suddenly lose your voice command and Control is this the first time you’ve ever heard a host ask to lose his voice because he’s so fed up with the story yeah it’s just my goodness kevin Durant um and trading Kevin Durant and the possibilities that are out there right now the speculation I listen I understand speculation is so important in our business it’s every day for how long now i honestly that’s what I’m saying it feels like it’s been like two years it’s been it’s been only really a couple weeks really i mean well but where it’s been like this specific feeling of like it’s going to happen it could happen any minute and it could it could happen before the end of the segment he could get traded i mean it is supposed to happen this week yes uh we’re going to play a game here first of all I want to know Rick did you say there are other hosts that ask to lose their voice on the air or is this just Wolf and No I meant to say no i’ve never heard it before okay good that’s what I meant to say all right nice clarification wolf I’m going to throw this at you okay there’s four teams here so uh they did this on First Things First yesterday they they looked at what trades would look like to four teams that aren’t on all these lists not not Miami not Houston not San Antonio not the Knicks not the T- Wolves okay who are the four teams so I’m going to I’m going to throw the four teams at you you’re going to pick which one you want and then I’ll fire off what the trade would sound like okay okay a little game here yeah okay so you can have the Magic the Nuggets the Clippers or the Sixers um give me the Nuggets okay i thought you were going to ask for a team that wasn’t on there and just break the game all right give me the Nuggets so here’s here’s what a trade could look like with the Denver Nuggets according to First Things First yesterday Denver gets KD the Suns get Michael Porter Jr in his huge contract payton Watson Strawther Hunter Tyson and a 2031 first round pick durant in Denver if I’m Phoenix I’m still trying i’m trying to get more but I like this of all the pick the trades we’ve seen so far this is the best one at least I get a MPJ payton Watson’s valuable strawther’s got some talent like that’s better than the other two all right we haven’t played the other one michael Porter Jr i didn’t school we’d be playing that a lot i don’t know about that man i um your initial reaction to that one because I don’t love it i don’t love it but um I don’t hate it either i Watson and Strawther I mean yeah there’s there’s there’s some value there um Michael Porter Jr i mean it feels like he misses a ton of games too doesn’t he i feel like he’s almost does he i know he misses games a lot better than he is yeah I you know I guess he has played more the last two years than I really thought he he missed he missed 73 games in 20 uh 22 but last year he only missed five games and the year before he only missed one wow so he has been playing a lot more okay um Michael Porter Jr feels like he’s always questionable the year before though he missed 20 games like I said the year before he missed 73 so he’s he is um in injury risk I guess and a guy that is on a max deal if I remember right so that doesn’t really help you moneywise no uh all right that that was the Denver one yeah um I’m gonna Denver one i just kind of feel like that’s trying to reload once again don’t you think yeah there’s there’s um gonna feel that way yeah i I mean if you’re going to reload I got to get a player i got to get multiple players that are combined better than Kevin Durant yes all right you want the Magic the Clippers or the Sixers um give me the Sixers please this This one I know this one I know okay here we go kevin Durant to Philadelphia feels like this was talked about years ago now the Suns getting Paul George and three future firsts like it well I do want He didn’t make it clear i mean Philly has the third the third pick of this year’s draft so that’s I mean that is a whether it’s Ace Ba Bailey or Edgecomb or whomever that’s a highly valuable asset you would be including stuff just to get them to take Paul George’s contract which is underwater but they also I think HBO doesn’t care if the contract’s underwater they’re like “Hey that guy could be and and Paul George the Paul George that the Sixers thought they were signing would fit well next to Devin Booker.” These people know that Deon Booker and Paul George don’t like each other right yeah I don’t think so honestly I thought that was pretty public yeah I thought that was pretty public as well i I I don’t know why they I don’t like that i do like the three future first round picks i do I I am intrigued by that i mean I wonder if there’s a way if you traded for Paul George if you could then flip him for something else i mean he is a good player oh that’s a good idea um and think of that and I think that was Nick Wright that brought this up he uh he he said like “Can we get some clarification if that’s the number three overall pick in this year’s draft?” because nobody’s trading the number one pick in this year’s draft it’s Cooper Flag san Antonio doesn’t sound like it’s trading the number two pick in this year’s draft and it’s Dylan Harper like typically when you know who the player is going to be before the draft even happens you’re not getting that pick but when you get past the first two picks well if there are players that people like at three but there’s not a clear cut at three so I do wonder if that would be something you could really push for if you were the Suns yeah you know I love the idea of moving Paul George again acquiring him and then moving him for something uh I do like that so this this feels like a rebuild the other one a reload at the Denver this this feels like a rebuild and I kind of like that if you could move Paul George I don’t know if there’s some weird like new rule like some other apron the third apron or the chef’s apron or I don’t know like but if you could if you could give me three first round picks and one of them was the number three pick in the draft on Wednesday coming up yeah all right that’s now we’re now we’re talking uh we got time for one more do you want the Clippers or the Magic clippers clippers durant to the Clippers the Suns getting Norman Powell who Norman Pow people were people were crying a river that he didn’t get that all which heavich is good contractually he has to be traded every two years buyu Banks the 30th pick and 2031 first round pick another one I don’t hate for Phoenix i don’t like Norman as much i like Norman Pal i love Norman Paul i do i like Norman Paul bogdanovich not so much you have to be linked to a Bogdanovich every year if you’re the Suns yeah can you move Bogdanovich could you pull one of your Paul George uh move the second you get Bogdanovich he’ll be linked to other teams um I do like getting some draft capital once again um Norman Paul I do like him a lot i don’t love the draft capital there capital there though that’s the 30th pick like okay cool and then you do get another firstrounder wolf in six years so that’ll really help us out also Norman Paulo is 32 it’s another one of these really 3 yeah that’s crazy 30 i thought he was like 28 32 you do get Drew Eubanks back though we know he can take a punch from Isaiah Stewart that’s true so maybe it’s worth it just for that I didn’t I didn’t love any of those square the jaw Drew literally you know what we have time to play the magic one for whatever reason kept blocking out the Magic one but here it is bear in mind the Magic just traded everything they own for Desmond Bane so I don’t even know what they can offer first one the Magic get Kevin Durant um the Suns get Jonathan Isaac Anthony Black Jet Howard uh 25th overall pick on Goati yeah go ahead in any event bro what are you doing you’re making memes out here what are you doing if that’s the trade sign a brother up i mean really what what was the trade i missed it all I heard is Jonathan Isaac and Jonathan Isaac he misses so many games but when he does play he is an incredible defensive player yeah that’s great we don’t need anymore when he does play but he’s so good on defense when he does play you know that’s great i understand this how many guys I’ve saw base owning who were ballers how many guys that were so talented they were so good offensively of course defensively great football players just one problem not available yeah this this team already has He played 71 games this past year maybe he’s turning a corner in his health man for Kevin Durant though I don’t know i like some of those other I like the energy and defense though yeah no I love the energy and defense again listen that’s the type of human being you want to bring in here but is he going to be available where he can show the energy in the defense i I maintain though we’re all on board that you want the energy and defense guys i maintain I do that you can draft them you could draft one next Wednesday with the 29th pick if you draft well they basically did that with Ryan Dunn and I maintain that those are guys you could add in free agency once you have some actual like roster flexibility i I’m not trading Kevin Durant for guys I can get you know what’s what’s really interesting too there there are a lot of guys that I’m talking to in regard to the NBA who are talking about this new idea of taking a team like the Indiana Pacers where you don’t have a ton of talent you don’t have a ton of talent but what you have is a bunch of great defenders guys that are athletes guys who run the floor would you say they run with the tempo and uptempo they get a lot of points off the break it’s what they do that’s who they are yeah play defense score off of your defense that’s That’s interesting but the the one thing in addition to that the Pacers have done really well traded for Pascal Seakkum trader for Tyresese Hallebert you do have to have a couple guys like that that aren’t like elite but can lead the way but
