that surround this basketball team nba free agency is just a couple of day a couple of weeks away at this point well I don’t even know what today is june 20th so we’re about 10 days away from NBA free agency opening up we all kind of know where the New York Knicks sit in their cap space situation last week on the live show we did dream free agent targets so on today’s show we’re going to do reasonable and realistic free agent targets you guys said you wanted that video so we’ll dive into that we also got to talk about some good news and some bad news that the New York Knicks have gotten over the last couple of days some updates to the head coaching search that revolve around Taylor Jenkins and Mike Brown and uh the NBA draft it’s next week to be honest with you I haven’t done much NBA draft prep because the New York Knicks do not pick in the first round they also do not pick in the first 19 picks of the second round they own the 50th overall pick but we are going to be live for look I’m not against trading Mitchell Robinson and I like Mitchell Robinson i like him a lot more after the playoff run he just had that was probably the best stretch of basketball that he has played in his NBA career i guess the reason I say I don’t hate the idea of trading Mitch is because I think it’s always a good idea to sell high on a player and Mitchell Robinson is entering the last year of his deal and we’ve kind of learned to understand how the New York Knicks operate when a player gets to the last year of their contract they are a front office and they are a team that really values control of players and they don’t want to be plain and simple ass out if Mitchell Robinson hits free agency next year and they run the risk of not getting anything back for him so if you could flip that into we’re trading him at his highest value right now after that great postseason run and you get a player back that’s under contract for next year the year after that or so on and so forth i could see them doing that and for a wing and a playmaker I think that could make a lot of sense um Knicks need a good bit of uh I I’ll just say this leon Rose told everybody that this organization is singularly focused on winning an NBA championship the only championship move cannot be firing Tom Teido because Tom Tibido is not the only reason you didn’t win the championship there’s going to be the New York Knicks are all that interested in um to my knowledge they’ve held two interviews one with Taylor Jenkins which went down this week um I know that that happened i also know that they have an interview set up with Mike Brown to my knowledge I don’t know if that’s happened yet um I’ve also been told and um that it seems kind of like and like breaking news you’ve interviewed one person and that guy seems to be the front runner at this point so Taylor Jenkins kind of seems like the guy uh right now but things could change very very quickly um but yeah it doesn’t seem like Malone is really in the running to be the next head coach for the New York Knicks um I’ve heard they want a little bit of a younger guy i don’t know how young that is they want someone that is going to have a better relationship with the front office malone did not have a good relationship with the front office in Denver that’s a large part of the reason why he ultimately got fired uh from being the coach of the Denver Nuggets so look it has been quiet it’s been extremely quiet what has it been three weeks now like when did the season end i don’t know oh has it been I think Monday will be three weeks since Tom Tibido was fired so yeah we’re coming up on 21 days uh it took Leon Rose 7 weeks to fire uh excuse me find the hire of Tom Tibido and back in 2020 i don’t think the Knicks are in any rush to get this done but the NBA draft is on the 25th it’s five days and I would think you would want a head coach by then but Leon Leon runs on Leon time and we’ve we’ve kind of we’ve kind of learned that could definitely see that um look with Male Bridges and Mitchell Robinson um like he we’ve seen what happens when the Knicks and a player are not close to extension terms they trade them that’s what happened with Julius Randall um if they don’t extend him there will be trade talks around Robinson going for five years in a row now i don’t mind extending him i also don’t love the idea of paying Mitchell Robinson a lot of money not because he’s not worth it but I think you could find other players that can bring similarish production for a lot less money but I don’t know it’s going to be interesting to see what they do with Robinson i would assume they have some talks if they can come to a number that he and the team both deemed to be fair I think a deal will get done but man like emarrassing to say this is the first time in my four years of covering this team that I have no idea what they’re doing and I have no idea what they’re going to do every other summer every other free agency every trade deadline I’ve had a pretty damn good idea of what they’re going to do and right now I just I don’t I don’t because there’s so many different ways that they could go johnson you Malone.” Look I think there’s some reasons to like Malone and I also think there’s a lot of reasons to have some pause for concerns about Malone he’s got a lot of Tom Tibido in him rough rugged set in his ways doesn’t play the bench all that much doesn’t place a huge priority on developing the young guys the Knicks want someone that’s going to play the young guys the Knicks want someone that’s going to listen when the front office tells them “You got to play this guy.” Um we’ll see we’ll see i don’t think Malone is in the running things are going to have to go bad if they get to Malone and I I think it’s more likely the Knicks hire a coach that’s coaching college at this point than hiring Malone i’ve heard that they’re going to look to the college ranks here uh pretty soon but it sounds like Taylor Jenkins is the lead dog right now and Mike Malone to my knowledge is the only other excuse me Mike Brown mike Brown not Malone Mike Brown is the coach that also has an interview set up not sure if it happened i know the Jenkins one at least first interview has already happened so we’ll see if anything comes out in the next coming days i don’t expect though a decision to be made soon could be wrong could come right now and I’m wrong but I think there’s going to be a little bit more length to this process and a couple of more coaches that are going to be able to throw their hat in Tibido’s evaluation of Obie Toppin i also didn’t like some of the things Obie did but he had some strengths that I think kind of minimize his weaknesses and he’s gone to the perfect team and the perfect coach that puts him in a spot to be successful and I I I like Tips you guys know how I feel about Tips i’ve told him to go f himself i’ I’ve gone and said he’s a horrible coach but I went on record the day he got fired saying I thought he earned another year and two things can be true at the same time but one of the downfalls of Tom Tibido was he didn’t adjust for his players he made his players adjust to him and I think that’s why Obie Topphen was traded and I think that’s a reason that Quinton Grimes was traded i don’t know we’ll talk about that in a little bit but Yuri yeah look you’re going to need development from the young guys Ariel Huckporty you’re gonna need development from Tyler Clark you’re gonna need development from Pomeier that’s first round pick man you got to get production from first round picks in this league look how many first round picks play well for the Thunder look how many first round picks have played well for the Indiana Pacers and and then you need Ariel Hawky to produce as well uh Kevin McCull Jr so especially with the Knicks and the way they’re set up salary capwise you need some of these young cheap rookies to at least produce and give Marshall Green on today’s show we’re going to go over some realistic free agent targets for the New York Knicks recently on the channel I think it was about a week ago about a week ago this time last week we did a video where we talked about dream free agent targets and we labeled them dream free agent targets because it was just a wet dream like it’s not going to happen malik Beasley is not going to sign for the taxpayer mid-level exception and I told you guys if we got to a thousand likes on that video we would do realistic free agent targets and here we are so let’s dive into it when you look at the Knicks and their off season and the things they could do the salary cap they have and the path that they could travel to get to the people that they want it comes down to this they are projected to be $4 million over the First Apron meaning they are a first apron team meaning they have no salary cap money they cannot go out and pay a free agent big-time money they are $8 million below the second apron which means they’ve got $8 million to spend before they get there but you can’t just go out and spend $8 million in free agency they do offer the NBA how kind they are thank you Adam Silver uh you ruined the league that I once loved the Knicks get the taxpayer mid-level exception but if you use that taxpayer mid-level exception there is some repercussions for that so I say all that to say the New York Knicks do not have any cap space so for all the people that have told me Marshall we just got to run it back and we got to add depth to the team it’s not possible it’s quite literally not possible because if you bring back campaign if you bring back Landry Shamut you bring back PJ Tucker you bring back every you run it back boys are back in town you’re not going to have the taxpayer mid-level exception to use because you’re going to be over the second apron and if you use it you are hardcapped at the second apron so let’s talk about how the Knicks can improve their roster you got the taxpayer mid-level exception a 2-year exception you get to use and if you use it you are hardcapped at that second apron it’s a two-year deal worth 11.6 million i kind of say this to say are the New York Knicks going to be championship contenders if they run it back and uh use a $5.6 million exception mind you they’re $8 million below the second apron and if you use this you’re hard capped so 8 million minus 5.6 2.4 $2.4 million the veteran minimum is like 1.2 so you get to bring back two veteran minimum guys and you barely might not even be able to squeeze this in the Knicks are going to have to be creative thinks they can sign vet minimum free agents but like we tried to paint the picture Picasso style um it’s going to be tough and I’m not so sure if any of these realistic taxpayer mid-level exception guys are going to move the needle to where the Knicks are definitely uh back in contention to win the NBA Finals let’s start with a veteran a rival Alford the big man out of Boston i talked to my guy producer Smitty today and he told me doesn’t sound like Al Horford is coming back to Boston sounds like Boston is done with him and he is done with Boston he told me it has been confirmed that he still wants to play next year and he wants to join a contender and how sweet would it be if the New York Knicks are able to steal How Al Horford from Boston and then go and beat Boston next year if they even get to where the Knicks are going to be now Horford’s not who he used to be he’s not the guy that was the foundational piece of the Atlanta Hawks or the guy that was a part of all of those Boston Celtics teams but there is still a player in Al Horford in my opinion that can help the New York Knicks he could still defend at a high level and he still could shoot the three ball at a high level and if the New York Knicks are going to get creative this off seasonason and maybe that includes trading Mitchell Robinson you could have a backup center in Horford and as we know Horford and Carl Anthony Towns are friends towns looks up to Al Horford they are both Dominican and I think that Cat could learn a lot from Horford how to be a champion how to be a winner how to be a big man how to fill lanes on fast breaks how to add to his game i like this as a potential pairing for the New York Knicks the question in my opinion is does it give you enough to win the NBA title i’m not so sure gary Trent Jr is also another player that I’m interested in for the New York Knicks to sign for two years and 1.6 million one thing I thought the New York Knicks did not do a good enough job of in the playoffs specifically against Indiana was shoot the basketball from three josh Hart shot 18% from three og Anobia and Male Bridges missed way more than they made the Knicks out of 16 teams that made the NBA playoffs had the 10th best three-point percentage simply just not good enough and Gary Trent Jr is someone that can shoot the ball from outside and he’s looked at as one of the better three-point shooters in the NBA this past year for the Bucks he shot 41.6% from three doing that on almost six attempts per night the year before at the Raptors shot 39.3% from three while getting up 6.4 threes per game he shot really well this year for Milwaukee and and when you look at a shot chart from the 2024 2025 season he shot 46% from the right corner he shot 46.9% or 48.9 48 48 there we go i might need some glasses i did fail the eyesight test on my driver’s license renewal 48% from the left corner he also shoots really well above the break that’s an area the Knicks don’t have a lot of good shooters there we know Muel Bridges does not shoot well above the break jaylen Brunson kind of struggles a little bit there as well he’s more of a wing three-point guy and he shot almost 40% from the top of the key that’s almost five percentage points higher than the league average so adding a guy like Trent who is known as a knockdown shooter in this league I think it could help this New York Knicks team off the bench another guy that could fill it up another swing man that interests me is Air Coffee from the Los Angeles Clippers not the most sexiest names on this list like some people may not even know who Amamir Coffee is but he’s a 6’7 wing that can get up and down the floor and he’s shot the ball pretty well throughout his career not a good defender by any means but he is more than capable and if he is your eighth man off the bench you’re in a good spot and those are the kind of guys that you’re looking for when you’re trying to pay someone two years $11 million shot 41% from three this year he’s gotten better there each of the last three seasons um he’s kind of your three and okayish on defense type of guy not the highest volume uh when it comes to air coffee shooting the ball from downtown this past year he did shoot 41% from three but he did it on just 3.4 attempts per game in 24 minutes so not a lot of volume there but good efficiency this past year and a guy on the wing that could help the Knicks could use a 6’8 wing that can get up and down i’m interested in him the Knicks were interested in Taius Jones last off season and I’m sure they will be interested again in him again interested again in him this off seasonason that’s how words work that’s how you got to talk marshall um Tus Jones one of the best players in the NBA when it comes to assist to turnover ratio he is the ultimate point guard in the sense of I’m going to take care of the ball i’m going to get the ball to my guys in spots they could be successful and I am not going to turn the pill over he’s also become one of the better shooters in the NBA as well i’ve always been a fan of Taius Jones’s game dating all the way back to his days at Duke i just thought he played the game how you would want the game to be played from a point guard’s perspective this year averaging 5.3 assists per game he averaged 1.1 turnover so that’s a 5:1 assist to turnover ratio the year prior he averaged 7.3 assists to one turnover that’s a 7 to1 assist to turnover ratio and the Knicks could always use another guy that can handle the ball spread it out and knock down threes coming off the bench for Jaylen Brunson i’m hoping that that’s Tyler Kick this year but if you’re looking for a guy that’s ready to plug and play a veteran that’s done it every stop of the way in his career Jones fits that bill i know the Knicks were interested in him last year they were trying to sign him but he ultimately decided to go join Phoenix and what a dumpster fire decision that was i can’t believe I’m including Spencer Shitwitty on this list uh I hate Spencer Denwitty any Knicks fan hates Spencer Denwitty he hates the Knicks and maybe the Knicks need a guy on this team that hates the Knicks because I’m sick of the country club attitude that this team has the daddy’s ball team and I love Brunson but they feel a little private school country club vibeish a little bit to me and they could benefit in my opinion for bringing in a guy that is going to ruffle some feathers exactly he can handle the ball he can create for others he can run your bench unit he’s done that for the Mavs a couple of times he’s done that for the Nets i don’t love him for the two years $10.6 million i like him a lot more for the veteran minimum but he’s someone that’s on my list another player that would be on my list maybe the Knicks uh can get him to accept this contract Chris Paul if Chris Paul wants to come play here for two years $10.6 million I would absolutely do it i I think the Knicks could benefit a lot from having a veteran like him that can handle the ball run the pick and roll orchestrate the offense but I I don’t know if he would sign for that cheap of a deal and maybe he wants to go somewhere else i don’t know but Chris Paul is someone I am absolutely interested in i just gave you five guys and a bonus piece in CP3 name a free agent $10.6 $6 million i’m all in on that i’m all in on that i feel like Dennis Oh man I’m loud uh I feel like Dennis Shruder has always been a uh a solid like if he’s coming off the bench you’re okay yeah absolutely like your team is in a good spot if he’s coming off the bench he’s a scrappy competitive hard-nosed well-rounded player he’s played in a lot of big games i’m a fan of his and I thought he played really well for the Detroit Pistons um against the Knicks uh JRock says “What about Bones Highland?” I’m not all that interested in Bones Highland to be honest with you to be honest with you take a guess how old Dennis Schroeder is 32 31 31 31 i actually was surprised that Tyus Jones was 29 yeah and it seems like he’s been in the league forever has been here forever agreed anthony Clark that up on screen marvin why don’t the Knicks get Mark Jackson to coach the Knicks because he’s not i know i I I know we love this stuff mark Jackson he he was a Nick um and we love that but there’s a reason he hasn’t coached in the NBA in 10 years now 10 years now um and I also like while he did a really good job with the Warriors I think there’s something to be said that the very next year after he got fired they won the NBA title mark Jackson is not on my list mark Jackson is not on my list john Pett let’s be real guys triple J is not getting traded why would the Grizzlies trade a 25-year-old even at the rebuild this is not 2K to throw names out yeah I agree with that but um there’s been some chatter from some people that maybe they would have been interested i don’t think it’s that realistic at this point i said that in the video um it it’s would you trade Bridges Robinson and your first round pick that you have coming from the Wizards for Jiren Jackson Jr and some salary also in line to get a major payday in NBA free agency and I believe the New York Knicks are getting kind of a dose of good and bad news and I think the way you’re seeing Obie Topphen playing is kind of a major reason why Tom Tibido was fired there’s been reports that have come out that there was a disconnect between the front office and Tom Tibido and the new the front office is looking for a head coach that is going to listen to them and they can be more in line in their beliefs i know this for a fact tom Tibido’s refusal to play young guys was big and why he was ultimately relieved of his duties um that’s about all I can say on that the front office did not like the way that Tom Tibido did not prioritize not only playing young guys but adjusting to young guys it was Tom Tibido’s way or the highway and the Knicks don’t want their next head coach to be like that and we’re all watching the finals and I tweeted it out on Thursday game six every OB topping bucket it stings a little bit and I was wrong about Obi-Wan thought he was not a winning player but he got to a team and a head coach that put him in a spot to maximize his potential and to make him a winning player rick Carile adjusted to get the most out of a player tom Tibido rarely ever did that and trading Obi for two second round picks right now that sure does look bad on this New York Knicks front office uh Leon tried his best that trade was a Tom Tibido trade leon Rose did his best to get Tom Tibido Tom Tibido players he made moves that would fit Tom Tibido players because Leon learned if I go out and get Evan Fornier Tibs is not going to play him because Forier is not a Tibs guy i can go out and get Kemell Walker who was washed absolutely rightfully so did not play but I’m just trying to let you know Leon learned working with Tom Tibido that I have to get players tips is going to play and in the OB situation it didn’t work out and I believed in Tibs’ evaluation of him but I was wrong and I’m never afraid to admit when I was wrong as was Tom Tibido on that bench players with 70 plus points 30 plus rebounds and 12 plus threes made in NBA Finals there’s two people to ever do it robert Ary and Obie Toppin and Obie Toppin is a major reason why this series is going seven and might be a major reason why they are going to win the NBA Finals it’s averaging 13 and six on 48 and 40 from the field um Knicks don’t look too smart right now on that move and I’m someone that like loves Leon Rose how many times have we said it leon did it again leon did it again in this situation like he did with Evan Fornier and Kemma Walker it didn’t work out but something that still stings is Tib’s never adjusted for Obie like and I think that is part of the reason like I I want to choose my words carefully here because Tom Tibido is a good coach but a skill set of a good coach not saying Tipp is not a good coach don’t get your panties in a wad good coaches adjust to their players good coaches know how to put their players in position to be successful tom Tibido never did that for Obie Toppin and and is losing Obie the reason he didn’t win no I don’t want that to be the understanding of this video either but the Knicks never under Tom Tibido did anything to accommodate their young players it was you’re gonna play Tibs this way or or you’re not going to play for Tibs and that’s ultimately why there was a fight which has been well documented why there was a cursing out of Obie cussing out Tibs and why it’s been reported widely that Obie Topphen threw a punch at a Knicks coach i don’t know was Obie great as a Knick no but he absolutely had his moments 30 point games they may even had a 40-point game scoring 15 points in 10 minutes it was clear and obvious to see what Obie was good at running the floor winning with athleticism growing as a three-point shooter being a microwave scorer off the bench that was evident when he was here and he went to a team um that is maximizing his skill set now and he’s one win away from forever being an NBA champion we also know that the Quinton Grimes deal was a doom and if you’ve watched this channel since the start of this channel you know that I was one of the biggest Quinton Grimes fans that there was and so was this front office the Knicks did not trade for Donovan Mitchell you know why because they would not include Quinton Grimes and what did they do 18 months later they traded him to the Detroit Pistons for Buon Bogdanovich and Alec Burks uh two guys that were on this team for four months and there was clearly some headbutting at the end of the tenure between Grimes and Tivido grimes was no longer in the rotation grimes somehow went from playing 48 minutes in game five against the Miami Heat in the playoffs to not playing for the New York Knicks and I say all this to say why that is bad news like it’s bad news it’s bad that you made this trade it’s bad that you let Obie Topping go think about think like this you traded Quinton Grimes and Obie Toppin you traded Grimes Toppin and two second round picks for two second round picks like you didn’t get [ __ ] you got nothing to show for these guys but it’s good news in the sense of Taylor Jenkins sounds like he is now the favorite to be the head coach of the New York Knicks and Taylor Jenkins is known as someone that’s not afraid to go 10 deep taylor Jenkins is known as someone that develops young guys that takes pride in developing young guys look at all the young players that are on the Grizzlies roster that are now playing well and that’s great news for Tyler Kick that’s great news for PCOM Dier and Kevin McCuller Jr and Ariel Hucky so why it was unfortunate to see the Knicks get nothing from Obi and not maximizing him and not getting anything for Quinton Grimes and not maximizing him now you’re potentially going to bring it to coaching Jenkins or whoever that next head coach is going to place an importance on development and getting young players involved and putting them in spots to be successful like it is going to be a breath of fresh air having a coach that wants to develop young talent knows they have to develop young talent like the Knicks need young guys to grow you need Kolk to produce next year you need Pomeier to be a player you took him in round one you need round one picks to produce Ero Porter you can see that there’s a player down the line we haven’t seen much from Kevin McCuller Jr but hopefully you could turn him into a rotational NBA piece like with the way the Knicks are set up in their salary cap we all know they don’t have cap space they’ve got the taxpayer mid-level exception so you’re going to need these young guys on cheap deals to produce you’re going to need a Dier to grow you’re going to need a KO to produce you’re going to need an Ariel Hugporter to be here so if you hire Taylor Jenkins that’s good news for them and I think it’s honestly good news whoever the coach is because the Knicks are not going to hire another head coach that does not value growing young players that’s why Mike Malone is not in the search why Mike Malone is not a candidate at this time of recording this video the Knicks know that they’ve got to get young guys to grow to develop and to produce for this organization i thought Tom Tibido earned another year by getting to the conference finals i think there’s something in life worth rewarding achievement and he achieved something and I don’t give a [ __ ] if it wasn’t how long they did it but he achieved something that’s damn hard to do in this league four teams every single year get to do it and I thought he earned that but there’s also enough reasons to move on as well i see both sides of the coin here and I understand why they fired him we’ll see we’ll see if it works out my question is do you want the Knicks to hire Taylor Jenkins seems like he’s the favorite to be the head coach right now we’re also very early in the to sign that deal they’re going to look to trade him leon Rose has operated under a couple of principles and one of those is he wants to have team control over players he doesn’t like to have players go into final years of their contract because he doesn’t want to head into free agency where he may lose that player for nothing he’d rather trade a player that’s on a expiring $14 million deal for a guy that’s making two years $28 million so I think there is a world where they could trade Mitchell Robinson and I don’t mind trading Robinson because you’re going to be selling at an all-time high is his value ever going to be higher i still worry about the injury history for him for him i worry that he can’t make a free throw i worry that he does not contribute on offense outside of dunks and offensive rebounds which he does great he is a hell of a defender but it might be better for this Knicks team to trade him i can’t say that and stone without knowing what’s coming back via a trade so I’m not saying go out and trade him but I’m also not saying no way we could trade Robinson i’m I’m listening to calls i may even make some john Thddy what’s happening my man $5 super chat shout out to New York Knicks is they’ve got interviews scheduled with Taylor Jenkins Mike Brown sounds like some more interviews could be coming next week i’ve been told they could look at some college coaches following the OKC path with developing rookies and going younger we do need depth off the bench yeah like I don’t know if we’re going the OKC route but I I get what you’re trying to say the Knicks need someone that’s going to come in and develop a Tyrron Kick develop an Ariel Hucky develop a Pakcom Dier and develop a Kevin McCuller Jr part of the reason Tom Pivot was fired is because he didn’t do anything to make Tyler Ko a better player this year or Pakome Doier a better player this year or Kevin McCuller Jr or Air Hook Porty a better player and with the way the Knicks salary cap is set up and there’s not a lot of dollars to spend you need the guys that are already on the team on cheap costc controlled contracts to produce um they want a guy that’s going to prioritize depth that’s going to prioritize playing young players extending the rotation adjusting to fit the talent on the team uh and we’ll see who that is but I do think we’re going to see a lot more Hucky a lot more Kick and Dier next year it’s a good thing you want to see young players play because you need to continue to look forward and think forward as you grow a team and try to get them to be NBA champions levi’s the best what’s up bro always a real one people that say we should go get DVO I’m not sure about that because who would we give up it would be Mitch and is that worth DVO and was the year he had with the i feel like I see him doing great work everywhere he said that he had heard the Knicks had some conversations back in January about a Dante even trading trying to map and outline a way to bring him back in the off season off season’s here and it’s just not a clear path for the Knicks to travel down at this point because how are the Knicks going to acquire Don Vincenzo he signed a four-year $46 million deal with the Knicks in 2025 2026 is making 11.9 million reed could you pop up the cap sheet graphic again for me as we know the way the CBA works you got a match salary and a trade and if $1.9 million let’s look at the way the Knicks could acquire him how like Mitchell Robinson and then you get a player back and do the Timberwolves want to trade for Mitchell Robinson if they have the Rudy Goar maybe they trade away Rudy Gobear and then they trade DVO to us and we get Robinson maybe we send them Josh Hart we get somebody back i don’t know do they want Josh Hart do they want Male Bridges and we get DVO back and we get another player worth $10 million i I don’t know there’s just not a clear way right now I see the Knicks being able to acquire Devenzo i would love for it to happen i love Steven Chenzo like that brother can hoop he He He can shoot the piss out of the ball he’s not scared he plays with moxy and ferocity and and there wasn’t as much of a country club private school AAOU team coached by their dad feel with Dven Chenzo and I love that the Knicks need a guy that’s willing to go against the grain but just because I want it doesn’t mean it’s going to happen and I don’t see how they make it happen johnson what’s up my man is the Johnny Bryant trade officially dead i would say it’s not dead but I don’t think it’s as likely as a lot of people was were hoping and believing it was when the Knicks offic uh initially fired Tom Tibido i had been I’ve been told that there are fans inside the building of Johnny Bryant i was told that Johnny Bryant was a Knicks organizational hire not a Tom Tibido hire um I don’t know if the Knicks love the way that Johnny Bryant left i’ll just say that they could always fall back on Johnny Bryant but I don’t know if the relationship is as good as maybe it once was noah what’s up should the Knicks target Gary Trent Jr i think so i think so look if you can get Gary Trent Jr for the veteran minimum that would be dope absolutely if you have to use the taxpayer mid-level exception I don’t mind that either really i could shoot the piss out of the ball he shoots 40% from three knicks were the 10th best three-point shooting team in the playoffs only 16 teams make the playoffs they left a lot of points on the board because of miss shots and this is an offense that creates a lot of open shots because Brunson gets doubleteamed and Carlante Towns gets double teamed and if you can add a guy off the bench that shoots 40% from three on north of 5.8 attempts per night that’s going to help you out so yeah Gary Tren Jr is on my short list of realistic free agent targets for the New York Knicks peter what’s up man would love to see male gone from the team for Triple J i just don’t know if the Grizzlies are going to trade him he’s 25 he’s a deep boy i I don’t know if they’re going to be all that motivated to trade him at this point maybe like I would love to have him he’s a hell of a player he He’s one of the best defenders in the NBA two-time all defense he’s a decoy and he’s growing as a shooter and a scorer every single year like we did a video check it out on the channel people believe that he in the next front office he’s a perfect pairing next Carl Anthony Towns if you could acquire Jiren Jackson you’re gonna have to give up Bridges and if you could roll out a starting robinson and Bridges is probably the starting point and is even that enough or would they just sell him off to the highest bidder he is CIA or the mafia maybe they make it happen last question allan
