so could the Phoenix Suns be trading away Kevin Durant to the San Antonio Spurs this 2025N NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the San Antonio Spurs receiving Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns receiving Devin Vel Kell Johnson Jeremy Sohan and the number 14 overall draft pick so as I’ve talked about in some other videos I truthfully do think that Kevin Durant wants to go to the Spurs but also too that the Spurs if they really wanted to can probably put together the best package for him now you can make the argument from a Spurs perspective that Kevin Durant doesn’t quite fit the timeline for this group as of course their prize position is Victor Wyama as well as De’aran Fox so adding a 37year-old Kevin Durant for the last little bit of his career like sure he’s you know still playing at a very high level offensively speaking he’s one of the best in basketball but if it doesn’t work out you’re getting rid of a lot of your core uh for the long term and I think that if you’re you know goal at the end of the day is to build around Lanyama you want to retain players like Devin Facel Kell Johnson Jeremy Sohan and lottery draft picks so I’m not 100% sure if this makes the most sense in my opinion at the end of the day from uh the Spurs perspective but I think Kevin Durant going to the Spurs playing alongside De’arren Fox and Victor Wanyama would be fun to see and this would definitely elevate Wanyama’s career and make the Spurs championship contenders sooner compared to later but uh from the Suns perspective as well like I love this trade uh for them getting all these guys back like if you can surround Deon Booker with some more depth in the form of Deon Vacel Kelvin Johnson and Jeremy Sohan that is pretty fantastic as well as getting back a 14th overall draft pick this year for a team in Phoenix that is pretty deprived of draft picks if they hit on that draft pick which is very possible they would be laughing at the end of the day so this might sound crazy because I know Kevin Durant is the best player in this deal uh but if I had to pick a winner of this trade I’m going to go with the Phoenix Suns because I love the depth um I love the draft capital and for an aging player in Durant he might just be a little bit outside of the timeline for the Spurs franchise at the end of the day so those are just my thoughts leave yours down below
