Bleacher Report’s trades to make the Bucks CONTENDERS

so Bleacher Report now has five new trade ideas to rebuild the Bucks into a contender around Giannis And they did a pretty good job because a lot of these have me really thinking where I had to record a video and now I’m re-recording it because what I thought in my head changed as I started to say it and I was going back and forth but now I’m ready to give my real take on all these trades because they all seem somewhat realistic And the first one right here is actually one of the few where pretty easily No No Like Simon’s more expensive than Koozma Not sure if he’s that good or like a winning player Like he scores a lot of points but not super efficiently Doesn’t play a lot of defense Not a great for creator for others Does he even work with Dame like on a championship type team maybe not Maybe if you had like a prime Brook Lopez rib protector behind him but that’s not the case anymore And so giving up the last real first round pick two second round picks Heck no I love getting off Koozma but I’m not giving up all that to take on another player that I think is overpaid that isn’t that good Another one The first two were the ones where I’m like heck no There’s been a little scuttle but about D’Angelo Russell to the Bucks and haven’t covered that yet Maybe I’ll do a video on it tomorrow just because haven’t seen anything super like any like super valid reporting on it But my two nightmare scenarios right now are the Bucks trading for D Rozan and trading for D’Angelo Russell D Demart Rozan is more expensive than Koozma His contract is a year longer than Koozma’s and he’s 36 years old Why in the world would we be giving up a first round pick to go get him i’m the biggest original first Koozma hater Everybody told me give him a chance No he was the worst player in the NBA before we got him He was the worst player on the Wizards the worst team in the league He stinks Kyle Kosma is trash But you can’t just look at player for player Look at the contracts D Rozan’s more expensive Another year longer He’s 36 years old I wouldn’t do Koozma for D Rozan Straight up I wouldn’t D Rozan can’t shoot a three Doesn’t play defense Going the wrong direction at this age No shot Am I doing that no Koozma would be easier to trade next year D Rozan’s going to be impossible to trade as he gets older and older And do I think that he’s a championship type player at this age heck no Heck no Please John Horst do not consider trading for Demar D Rozan unless they’re giving us assets and taking Kyle Kosma In that case if it was D Rozan for Koosma and they’re also throwing us a first round pick okay yes do it But that’s the only scenario I wouldn’t even do it like D Rozan and a second round pick for Koozma No keep D Rozan away from the Bucks Now here’s the one where we’re starting to talk At first I was thinking no but I don’t really know why Give me Collie Sexy Yeah Um I’ll give up if we’re all we’re giving up his second round picks I think from what I’m seeing on Bucks Twitter people are like a little bit overvaluing Col Colin Saxon as there’s been a little bit of trade talk with the Jazz Um at least online there’s been trade talk and I’m a guy that really liked Colin Saxon out of college Um I thought that he’d be a better defender than he has been Um and there might still be something untapped there on a contender There could be a level he could reach defensively that he hasn’t yet So I’d be excited about trading for him And yeah if we could just give up Koozma and no first round picks you got to get get a guy that’s cheaper younger better You know like I said he might be a little bit overvalued by some to where like I’m not so sure that he’s much better than Ryan Rollins I’m not so sure that he’s much better than like AJ Green or even Kevin Porter Jr the way he was playing the regular season I’m not sure if he’s much better than them I think he is but I’m not sure But even worse comes to worse Cohen Saxon is at least like a guy that you could throw out there for some minutes and he’s not bad He’s definitely like not like a guy that is just going to tank the unit when he’s out there the way Kyle Kosma does whenever he’s on the floor against a good team And so to be able to get a better player cheaper without giving up any first- round picks and you move off of Kyle Kosma if you can move off Kyle Kosma in a situation like this and get a guy that isn’t bad um and is on a better contract and without giving up a first round pick that’s a scenario where I would love to move off Kyle Koosma this off season if something like this were possible for the Jazz I just don’t think they would do it Like I think they would say Colin Ston is just it’s a better contract to have you could hold on to him a little bit longer rather than having to be weighed down by Koozma this year and next year with his contract But maybe I’m wrong And now this one right here KD for Damen Lillard AJ Green Andre Jackson and all the picks And I would try and stay hard on I would try and hold it down where I’m not giving up AJ Green That would be where I try to hold on even if it me meant giving up Ryan Rollins I do like Ryan Rollins but I just think if we’re trying to contend next year which obviously you are if you get Kevin Durant I think AJ Green is just too important for his spacing I think he’s a championship type role player Um so I’m not giving up AJ Green And I even if it was Ryan Rollins instead I wouldn’t do this unless we do the following trade I wouldn’t do this by itself But if we could do this then I’m in Because if it’s like even AJ Green Koozma Kevin Durant Giannis it’s like that’s not winning a championship and Kevin Durant’s 38 on a one-year deal It’s just going to make things worse in the future But if I could find a way to do to move off of Kyle Kosma and then get some assets back to make it a little bit more feasible moving off of all the assets that you do to get Kevin Durant then I’m doing it because Yousef Nerkich while it was not good with the Suns and he’s not a good starting center at all He’s not a bad basket like he’s not a bad center He’s a I would say he’s a very good backup center where Kyle Kosma is just trash He’s garbage The problem is with Ysef Nerkach he’s a well below average uh starting center and his strengths were not really what the Suns needed and his weaknesses are what the Suns desperately needed What I mean by that is they had Bradley Beal Devin Booker and Taius Jones and what they really needed at the center position was a defensive anchor and that’s not what he is But he is a really good rebounder and he’s a guy that you know can hit a little jumper kind of and you know he can finish around the rim He’s got a little touch to where like he’s a very solid backup center He’s a guy that you could throw out there for 20 minutes and that’d be fine in most matchups and he’ll get you eight rebounds And if he can move off of Koozma and get what I think is a better player and get picks in return then I’m like all right at least we have a little bit of something left if we go all in for Kevin Durant And so that would make me say you know what f it Let’s throw away everything Hold on AJ Green Change that to Ryan Rollins or something else But um I’m willing to do this trade as long as we get um keep AJ Green Um and then you have something like uh Kevin Durant Giannis Jericho Sims AJ Green Um maybe Kevin Porter Jr maybe you could go sign Tai Jones Um but I think that this would be something that I’d be willing to do if you could go get assets while also getting off Kyle Koosma with another trade But if you’re holding on to Kyle Kosma then no I’m definitely not doing this for a 38-year-old on a one-year deal no shot No shot But if you can get a couple assets while moving off Koozma I think Kevin Durant and Giannis gives you a shot and I’d be open to doing it Last one is I I saw this is just one I saw on Twitter but I thought it was interesting because I was thinking yesterday about sleeper guys that could be available because the reporting has been that this is might be like one of the craziest offseasons ever And we’ve already seen the first trade being a guy that no one was really talking about getting traded and Desmond Bane which led me to think of what other sleeper guys could get traded John Mor’s been a little bit discussed out there but I think there also guards like Darius Garland that could get traded that nobody’s really talking about Maybe even like Tyrese’s Maxi but anyway John Mor after the Desmond Bane trade leads you to think the Grizzlies could potentially go rebuild Maybe not but it’s possible And so this is something that was thrown out there Um and this is one where another one where I’m really torn on I go back and forth On one hand the Bucks are in a spot with very few assets and you move off of Kyle Koosma Pat Coneton and yes you throw in every asset but you go get a young star that was a superstar a few years ago Um and so a lot of me says “Yes go do this.” The other part of me does say he’s been trending in the wrong direction for the last three years He’s almost never been able to stay healthy for a full season I don’t think he ever has for a full season His jump shots getting worse not better He’s getting to the rim Less not more He keeps on getting hurt That stuff adds up for an undersized guard It’s a really risky thing to do to go and get John Morant right now And so I just don’t think I do it unless there’s like a Damian Lillard trade out there where you could go get real assets back because I don’t think Damon and John really make sense together If there is that type of trade out there to make happen then I’d be open to it Um it’s just tough for me because you’re giving up Tyler Smith and every pick H I’m just not I don’t want to bet my whole future on John Morant right now But if the Bucks did it I would get behind it and I would be hopeful about it If I’m the GM I just don’t think I would pull this trigger So overall I wouldn’t pull the trigger on the Kevin Durant or John move unless there were other asset building moves to help you recover from giving up all your assets in those Um and the other one I would do would be the Colin Saxon one or the use of Nerkage one straight up Overall the idea of this offseason has to be yes you’re trying to contend around Giannis but you’ve got to be patient and you can’t just I don’t know you can’t throw away everything for something that’s not going to get you into a championship level Um especially like a Demard Rozan or uh um D’Angelo Russell where there’s no world where those guys get you to any championship level At least Kevin Durant or John Marant even if they’re throwing away everything I could maybe I could talk myself into it But just please do not give up assets for Demar Rosen or D’Angelo Russell But let me know what you all think Drop a comment hit that like and subscribe if you want
