ESPN’s Dave McMenamin on the Suns’ Asking Price for Kevin Durant | The Rich Eisen Show
let’s talk about what’s going on outside of the NBA finals right now um Kevin Durant in play yay or nay and with who and and are the Suns finding it difficult to get what they’re asking are they asking too much um I’m hearing so much and I’m wondering what’s going on Dave no he’s certainly in play and uh they will move on from Kevin Durant i anticipate at some point probably you know as as early as draft night uh when they hired Jordan Knot uh their new head coach a brilliant guy 40 years old was really had a lot to do with the success that the he clavier had this past season um the idea that Kevin Durant’s got to be moved on from and there’s the handful of teams that has been whittleled down to Kevin Durant’s top three according to Sham Shirania you have the Houston Rockets the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat um listen I I’ve reported um that the Minnesota Timberwolves made an offer to the Suns back around the trade deadline they maintain interest in Kevin Durant not only to certainly uh recognize that he’s someone that their star in Anthony Edwards looks up to but I covered that Western Conference Finals uh about a month ago and their offense just ground to a halt they need more scoring with that group and you know if you can do it the salaries match up for someone like Rooney Gobear you throw in maybe either Mike Connley or Dante Devanchenzo and then you can you sweeten the deal with Rob Dillingham who was a highly touted rookie last year didn’t get a ton of burn but that could be looked at like a highlevel first round pick a little draft compensation and then you look around what the other offers might be that that could be as good as any of the others now the question mark is will the Suns be willing to move Durant to a destination that he doesn’t consider his top three or they want to really be um great trade partners with him to find that spot and can Kevin Durant and his representative Rich Kimman make it be known that by no chance would he be signing an extension if he doesn’t go to one of those top three markets if that’s the case then maybe Minnesota says “You know what i’m not going to give you all that in the package because we can’t get a guarantee here so that’s the dance that’s going on right now um one thing I I found interesting top three destinations no state taxes in Houston San Antonio and Florida so perhaps he’s starting to think about um how he can maximize the money he can earn uh recognizing he doesn’t have that much time left in this league yeah I I hear you is it is it true that um the the Suns asked for Steph Castle in the second overall pick for Durant is that a is that is that true D i I I I cannot confirm that right that would be certainly a steep ask for a guy who’s you know on the other side of 35 and Kevin Durant is one of the best scorers we’ve ever seen it’s nothing against him but I mean listen if you start the conversation there right uh all you can do is is go on down the roster now again I I can’t confirm that that was the ask but yeah I think that would be a bit of an awkward ask for where Kevin Durant is right now kevin Durant coming off of you know two championships of the Warriors that’s a different conversation yeah I know for sure catch the Rich Eisen Show live weekdays from 12 to 3:00 p.m

Best I can do is DiVincenzo and two 2nds
Phoenix trippin'
It's wild that KD got to see firsthand how necessary Elite Leadership is in a Front Office with GS. Going from that to multiple dumpster fire organizations just blows me away
Mr Malika Andrews is a shoddy journalist. Nobody trusts his nonsense.
Call his bluff and just let it be known if you’re gone after the year….
You’re on your own, no sign and trade
Why does this dude always look sunburned
Everyone moves on from Kevin Durant.
Suns dont need to do what kd says they gave up too much for him already
wemby and KD!
that would be crazy
Kevin is to old to be hopping from team to team. He should retire where he is. He won't help any team win a chip. The only reason why he won anything is because he joined the Warriors, who were already a winning team before he got there. And continued winning chips after he left..
Is the guy on the right wearing a mask?
Weirdest career for a top 10 superstar ever
Ware Wiggins and jjj for kd that's the deal.
“As early as draft night” yea yall not serious about the draft why tf would you wait until draft night to move from Kd and start focusing on who you’re picking 😂
the suns shouldn't expect a big package for KD considering his age and injury history you might be able to get some role players and a draft pick that's about it. i don see anyone forking over multiple picks for him.
the Book/KD/Beal duo was a failure PHX flopped bad with those deals
Why does he need to max out his $? He is on a lifetime Nike deal.
Durant has made literally hundreds of million dollars over his career. He does not need to think about maximizing his money because he’s near the end of his career.
KD is done. Bit of a waste of a brilliant career. Ever stuck around to build something. Never happy.
