LIVE: Thunder vs Pacers – Game 7 | 2025 NBA Finals πŸ”₯ Winner Takes All! | OKC vs Indiana 6/20/2025

anthony and Brent Barry david Aldridge will be reporting from the sidelines let’s see some of the numbers here for Miles Turner and guys this effective field goal percentage is trending in the wrong direction over the past five games shot discipline hasn’t been the best he’ll be looking to play a smarter game tonight here’s the starting group for the Indiana Pacers seakim is the four and he’ll be next to Turner at the five hallebertton in the back court nemar to his side and it’s knee smith in at the three slot and for the Thunder the four and the five the lengthy pair of Homegrren and Hartinstein kiljis Alexander runs things with Thor to his side and it’s Williams at the three the small forward we’ve got some great guards going headtohead in this one brent what will you keep your eye on in that matchup well Kevin you’re pointing out the guard play so this is when they have a chance to go one-on-one which of these tandemss can stand out against the other tons of pick and roll tons of creativity and we’ll see which of these guys can pair off tonight to win this contest now over here is clock at four homer with the steal it’s Dort on the wing mr covering here’s good Alexanders that one’s in his first shot this game excellent shot from SGA i like seeing them shake loose in the mid-range neard finds knee now here is Hallebertton he’ll just Alexander cover and he gets the whistle two free throws coming up in recent years Brent we’ve seen Oklahoma City turn into a contender simply by developing their own young talent yeah blocks on sticks on bricks on blocks and that’s what they’ve done they have not signed a free agent big game guy they’ve built from within uh they’ve built an incredible roster by drafting well and fostering the growth of these young players along with the coach who has given them a lot of belief it’s been pretty magical in OKC and Hallebertton a guy you just continue to see grow game by game an exceptional talent and a great mind and he’s good on the second and here’s George Alexander he’ll bring it up for Oklahoma City outside williams takes the 13-footer to it off to Mark Perry with the three-point shot and the great shooters know when they’ve got enough opening to go for the three i didn’t think it was a bad choice on that possession now here’s Turner he’s been playing a big part of their offensive scheme averaging around 15 and 12 points a game that is fantastic defense one of the best three-point shooters in the league didn’t give him an inch of room inver again right side Gilgus Alexander the kick out to Lewis now here’s Nesmith he’s guarded by Williams a nice shot by Hallebertton and that’s on the defense you cannot let Hallebertton get room to shoot from the corner with a short break in the action gives us a chance now to send it over to David Aldridge well I talked with head coach Mark Gagnol now in talking about Tyrese Hallebertton I wanted to know about the strategy for him out there coach said Hallebertton is so quick and such a tough ball handler i think it just comes down to keeping up with him matching his pace not letting him get one step ahead so that’s the game plan back to you all right David thanks parkerstein inside Turner covering and I like the fact that the defense is looking to protect the rim at all costs the Thunder shooting their first free throws of the game and one of the highlights on the season has been their ability to make free throws how about 82% as a unit and he knocks down the first one he hits one then misses the second attempt from the free throw line hallebertton for three gets the three-pointer to fall hallebertton’s got seven i love seeing Hallebertton shoot while he’s in that kind of rhythm this is when he’s at his absolute best out dagno calls timeout here he’s going to have a discussion here on the sideline heat heat heat as the playoffs near let’s take a look at the Western Conference standings you take a look at the Thunder they are the favorite right now to lock up the number one seed come playoff time sitting in first place right now and not looking like they you know are going to be slowing down at all and I think for Oklahoma City they’ve been taking no prisoners here in the early part of the season it’s been a very fast start and a lot of focus for this group yeah they’re using that F-word focus a lot of teams suffer from a lack of concentration in the early part of the season but not this team they’re ready to play right from the opening tip of the very first game to the middle homegrren kicks to Williams oklahoma City needs to get off and there’s Homegr that’s good on the assist from Alexander and playing up tempo prolevel ball can be hard for some guys but home has easily made the transition hellbertton that’s good boy he is looking confident love how they’re using him so far yeah right now I don’t see any letup think he’s going to just keep putting his foot on that gas pedal didn’t he now here’s Gojas Alexander a man off a 21-point game his last outing got a piece of it and stolen by Siako first quarter play and just over three and a half minutes in Hallebertton on the wing defended by Gorch hallebertton no good i don’t think the defense does enough out there to bother him i think that one’s all on him just a flatout miss cucious Alexander finds Homering over Eastman homer can’t hit he’s a guy they count on to produce from the mid-range he doesn’t miss too many open looks from there turner against Hartinstein it’s stolen by Gage Alexander here’s Williams it’s rebounded by Indiana well a lot of players in the league are going to make that shot and for him it’s pretty much automatic it’s a good defensive effort to prevent the layup now oh here is Hallebertton he’s got none dort against Hallebertton master Williams back to Dort down low and the basket by Pis Alexander you have a guard like Gilas Alexander that fights inside it can add some spunk to your team and so it’s Rick Carw here calling timeout he wants to talk to his guys looking ahead Brent how excited are you for the playoffs well just fired up for the level of competition that steps up 10fold Kevin and you know this we’ve seen so many great performances come playoff time teams are fired up young guys who are going to get this experience for the first time but it’s the stars that shine in the playoffs and we are that close heat heat looking now at some numbers for Shay Gilgis Alexander the last 10 games he has been on a heck of a run and his playmaking ability unquestioned one of the top 15 assist men in our league and what he’s doing right now carving up defensive schemes at will second best scoreer in the league it’s just a marvelous thing to watch and appreciate pass to Nemo back to Hallebert and here is Smith five on the clock indiana needs to get a shot off and he could not get that one to go out of contact and he’ll go to the line for two got one on Homegrren savvy move by Hallebertton sees opportunities so quickly for a young player he shot two free throws in the game made one and missed one an 85% mark from the line there aren’t too many players in the league who are going to sport a much better percentage first one falls for so valuable to this team hallebertton gives them whatever they need when they need it this guy is both patient and prolific good on both now Gilgus Alexander his scoring average of about 32 and a2 points a game tells you all you need to know about how dangerous a player he can be now this is Gilgus Alexander grant it seems like throughout his career Kilgish Alexander has an answer to whatever the defense might throw at him well the defenses don’t have answers to stop him Kevin i know that this guy is so quick with the basketball he’s so good at adapting on the fly with the ball getting around the initial defender to make plays superstars have that quality sga has it in space that’s good from Gilas Alexander brent there can’t be any question now that Shane Gilas Alexander has arrived as an NBA superstar no doubt about it Kevin i mean you finish in the top three of MVP voting that is a stamp of approval sga one of the more feared players in the game and this guy is on his way alexander hits him both a great player on a great role at the charity strike but he has got to be careful about being too aggressive on him and sending him back for freebies and the rejection by already set the summer league record for blocks in his first game human one of the best known shot blockers in the league now here’s Dougish Alexander he’s got six williams against shot is off well he’s just really struggling right now with everything he’s throwing up nothing really helping out in terms of his confidence i mean these ones aren’t even close now Siakum after Luke Horse three-pointer that didn’t hurt and it’s out of bounds and last touch by Hendry and we got to take a second look to admire that outstanding block and that is a huge block given how close this game is a stop like that was right on point hallelbertton finds Yakamard with it hallebertton deciding where to go with it shot clock at six it’s rebounded by Oklahoma City hartinstein’s got four rebounds in this game here’s Gilis Alexander and good got a friendly bounce off the right side of the rim gil Alexander’s got his third bucket of the night here’s Nemhard defended by Dorsch burton outside offline with his three and I thought that was going to drop but it looks good from here here’s Kilis Alexander that drops and it comes off an assist from Williams 10 points for Shade gil Alexander and so it’s Rick Carw here calling timeout looking for a breather and maybe just one or two things to talk about heat heat heat heat heat heat wallace has checked in for Gilg Alexander and a change for the Pacers bathrooms checked in pacers trail by three hard the pass to Turner and it’s slammed in by Turner hard to stop Turner in close as soon as he has prime positioning he is going for the slam homerren back to Wallace fires the three and the rebound goes to the Pacers turner’s got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight kneesmith with the ball he’s guarded by Williams pass to Matan that one misses good T by Williams oklahoma City’s gone just one of four from three-point range here in the first one for Dworth and the Thunder lead by three and Dort has a nose for the bucket seakum outside and there’s the call on Jet Homer that’ll be his second foul of the game now with two fouls here in the first quarter everything changes for him he’s got to be more careful on defense catching up on the changes for Oklahoma City williams he’s checked in for Hartinstein aaron Wiggins comes in for Homegrren and it’s Alex Caruso in for Dort indiana also making some changes obby Toppins checked in for Turner shepard comes in for Aaron Nesmith and it’s TJ McConnell in for Andrew Nemar now here’s Top playing Oklahoma City he was nearly unstoppable the shot by McConnell no good and that was almost a block still getting enough to alter the shot yeah altering the shot just as long as there’s a miss that kind of energy not wasted wallace against McConnell wiggins sends a screen for Wallace and three off the mark pacers trail by three yeah right here catherine with the ball no scoring in this one and the numbers now for Costakum tremendous numbers for him over the last 10 games and of course rim protection always at a premium that’s an important part of his game top 20 in Bloxburg as we’ve seen he’s a difficult defender to bring the ball up against quick feet quick hands always looking to force a mistake now here’s Williams and we know he can score he’s averaging around 21 and a half points a game here’s the drive and foul on the shot he’ll shoot two at the free throw line here we are sizing up GA Jaylen Williams and his shooting has got to be his biggest strength absolutely he’s great at spacing the floor for his teammates with his catch and shoot abilities but he’s equally gifted shooting off the dribble the first one falls he’s listed at 65 but Jaylen Williams seems so much bigger than that on the floor yeah Kevin one of those guys that has more presence on the floor than the measurements you look at on paper this guy plays bigger he’s got a great frame he’s got great strength he’s got great poise and there are a lot of people going to recognize just how talented Jaden is and Williams drops him both just keep seeing more and more evidence about Jaylen Williams being the total package swingman who scores it rebounds passes and can defend shepard with the ball wallace is covering here’s Matarin still without a basket over Williams it’s on target from the high post mats were comfortable there from the mid-range oklahoma City leading by three and here is Williams his last outing 16 points for him that’s a no-go and he’s still looking for his first bucket after two shots mcconnell against Caruso siakum kicks to tie it up as that one’s no good oklahoma City has gone one of five from downtown in the first quarter points out there have been hard to come by wiggins finds Wallace outside williams down to five on the shot clock shoots the three offensive rebound wiggins count that bucket and the Thunder lead by five yeah and there it is again on a lot of their possessions this first half they’ve established great inside position mcconnell passes now Shepard outside top of the screen on Williams against Williams inside the three-point line wiggins with the rebound i just have not seen him shoot this poorly guys in a game this season here’s Williams back in off the glass and now a sevenpoint Thunder and Jaylen Williams had a plan there to outwork the defense he knows you got to bring it to the paint they’ve been looking out of sync offensively yeah that their offense has ground to a standstill now here’s McCordless thus far pass to Siak lays it up off the glass about time he got one to fall there before that six straight misses to start this one here’s Williams pacers with the rebound they want to keep rolling here following the win against the Thunder and if you look at the box score from that game guys the first thing you’ll notice is how many turnovers they forced well all those turnovers made it a scrappy game which suits them they caused a lot of chaos with their defense which played right into their hands indiana shooting their fifth attempt at the line in the game and typically a strength of there 79% on the season that free throw good from Shepard shade Gis Alexander guys has been on display for Oklahoma City he got into double digits for the quarter with 10 points total and we’ve got more in 2K Sports coming your way after this break and close game underway so far we’ll see if either of these teams can jump out in the second quarter and when you consider how the Thunder are doing guys what do you think stingy on the defensive end in that first quarter they were just getting up into people just a a great job really of making the game ugly trying to muck it up a little bit out there and the Thunder with the possession here on the court for the Pacers as our second quarter gets underway tj McConnell is out there with Hallebertton then it’s Walker then there’s To Ming and at the Gil Alexander missing indiana trailing here mathan with the ball he’s picked up by Gilgus Alexander and Matan is good for three matine’s got five nothing a young guy who is ready to attack matine gets the ball and goes straight into his shot williams dishes to Wallace caruso sets the screen for Wallace and there wasted no time getting those three points back wallace has got himself going there his first points of the game on the deep ball and now the latest from our reporter David Aldridge hey Kevin the Thunder are young but they figured out how to win defensive ace Luke Bour talked about their chemistry he said “Nobody cries about shot selection or anything like that we know what each player can do we just really want to see the team win succeed kevin you see that they play you David every single game pulling in the right direction it is Hallebertton a three and the Pacers another three and he’s such an efficient three-point shooter hallebertton has an outstanding feel for what to fire from deep gilges Alexander against McConnell and it’s Williams with the jam making the most of the screen that’s how it’s done and it’s in the perfect spot greg frees him up to get all the way to the bucket really not enough help there lack of communication on the backside here’s McConnell the Thunder making the shot toppin passes to McConnell count the bucket coming off a perfectly placed assist mcconnell’s got his first two points well topping a big player i can see over the top of guys that time of good decision wallace looking for an opening and he drives in six on the shot clock caro a screen on Hbert he can’t hit that time and Nathan has got the ball here for the Pacers they trail by one pass to Hallebertton top of the screen on Coruso that puts them in the lead hallebertton has got six here in this quarter oh man this would be a different ball game if they didn’t have this type of scoring to rely on wiggins a screen on McConnell inside stolen by Walker now here’s Matan a fast break chance here’s Toppin and then Topphen with the jam and Toppin getting a little bit fancy with the throw down that time nice angle on that replay with the AT&T 5G fighting camp for Oklahoma City they’ve gone three of their first five shots to drop here in the second quarter hallebertton outside gilis Alexander shot clock at five they get it and it’s good on the way in gil Alexander’s got 14 points greg we know about the Euroep but is the Del more notice i think it is Kevin and you can see players have quickly incorporated that into their arsenal it’s been fun to watch and I tell you it creates some uncomfortable situations let’s take a moment now to check out the top scorers around the league shay Gil Alexander number one and all you have to do is point to his name at the top of that list does that tells the story well enough or what what a season and the first one at the line is good and the Thunder with some changes hartinstein comes in for Williams and it’s Dort in for Alex Caruso turner’s checked in for the Pacers andrew Nehard comes in for TJ McConnell and so he hits both for Indiana they’ve gone five of seven from the field here in a second pass to Chompin higgins against Matie missed inside for Oklahoma City they’ve gone 46 in from the fielder in the second wiggins has a screen for Gil Alexander it is good gil Alexander’s got six here in this quarter indiana’s gotten it going from downtown in the second quarter they’re three and three on three-pointers toppin passes to Hallebert fouled on the shot and picks up two points so one free throw coming up tenacious play by Hallebertton crashing into a foul and still sinking that shot this is his third trip to the free throw line in the game catching up on the changes for Oklahoma City kenri Williams he’s checked in for Wiggins and it’s Alex Caruso in for Wallace that’s good from Halbert oklahoma City trailing outside torch over in the corner williams outside kiljis Alexander and he finishes nicely on the way gil Alexander’s got 18 points he’s making plays all over the floor gildas Alexander will not be stopped turner against Hartinstein first shot by Turner no good for Oklahoma City they’ve gone six of eight from the field in the second quarter to the inside and with the pause here how about the stats for Hallebertton and he’s in the top 20 in steals bringing that focus and intensity at both ends and as you mentioned top three in assists right now he does a great job of running the offense spotting the open guy and making the sound delivery and the first one drops and they have yet to miss a shot from the line here this quarter a different look for Oklahoma City he’s checked in for Williams and Jaylen Williams is subbed in for Alex Caruso lefasers also changing it up pascal Seakum comes in for Toen and Aaron E smith subbed in for Benedict Nathan that one misses indiana’s gone to the three-pointer 11 times tonight nailed five of them hard the pass to Hallebertton now here’s Nmith not a lot of room hallebertton outside seakamus screen on Gilis Alexander releases and Siakum with the basket on the assist by Hallebertton seakans got it all tied up now for the bases outside Williams rebound by Turner turner’s got rebound number five here tonight hellbertton oh good on the triple really getting away with one there no one on him and that’s going to be good nine out of 10 times good on the triple alexander’s got 21 in the game he doesn’t look satisfied with the lead right now he wants more and he looks like he’s going to get it and so it’s Rick Carw here calling timeout he wants a minute here to get things straightened out with his team heat heat heat heat heat heat heat heat hallebertton finds Nish indiana moving the ball turner with the screen for Hallebertton and he’s fouled pretty hard on that shot but he’s got the chance to pick up the points at the line yeah that was bound to get ugly turner is so assertive working inside defense got me missing take a break take a break first free throw is good you just look at the trajectory of Turner’s career he was raw coming into the league up and down for a number of years but when he put it all together he became the total package wallace has checked in for Gilg Alexander he’s perfect from the line this time here is Williams and it’s denied sent back by Siakum pass to Nemo and looks like the illegal pick was set yep that’s right that’ll get their attention beyond the leaning you could see his feet more set on that screen easy call got to hold firm or you’re going to get a call and Oklahoma City making a change here caruso’s checked in the Thunder with the lead now here’s And you can see his scoring totals those are some pretty good numbers he’s putting up close to 15 points a game on average now here’s Dors six to shoot launches from deep no good he’s off to a slow start one for four so far the Pacers have gotten set on their 12 field goal attempts to drop here in the second quarter up over 50% allebertton outside lets it go with a three and home pulls it down oklahoma series gone to a three when they step beyond the arc in the second quarter here’s Dors count it how about the athleticism of Dort you see the width he has but man he can outwork you defensively caruso against Hallebert pass to Turner back to Hallebertton amnes had a chance to tie it and the rebound battle split evenly thus far here’s Kusha rejected by Hallebertton to the paint is Turner and the call on the shot sends him to the line they hit every one of their free throws here in the second quarter very important when you’re trailing and a moment to look at the scoring approach in terms of where the points are coming from for the Thunder right away they showed us they weren’t going to shy away from the mid-range game and it’s proving to be an effective tool for them i like it when a lot of guys are committed to attack to the inside because it’s going to get you to the line and they keep that up and the Thunder making a switch here joe’s checked in benedict Matherine he’s checked in for the bases that one falls so he hits both of Williams to Joe back to Williams now Caruso to the left side wing up the pass to Dort takes the assist and lays it in pick out the pass nicely and it’s six points for Lou Dort pacers trail by three well Brent we had to wait a year for it but Chad Homegrren had an incredible rookie season and I don’t think any talent evaluator is surprised at the way that Jet came in in his first year and was able to contribute and sometimes dominate in the ways that he did so coming back healthy making that immediate impact Chad Homegrren is going to be a superstar in this league now here is Siako following the miss by Miles Turner the drive by Siak misses from close range oklahoma City leading by three here’s Kuso it’s good from the top of the key they’ve settled into a nice groove offensively here in the second they’ve been struggling here on offense yeah a bit of a dry spell for sure here’s Matarin a shot missing nice defense from Torch oklahoma City’s gone to a three when they step beyond the arc in the second quarter they get it again here’s Hungry counting his second make in four attempts yeah they’ve come away from the triple as they look to protect this lead yan against passes to Hbert that’s a float one it’s his seventh of the contest seven for 15 from the floor defense doing their best to put Hallebertton off balance but he stays flexible kind of warps around the defense and adjusts to the contact now here’s Williams pass to Homer homer sets the screen for Caruso back to Homer the rebound by Turner turner’s got rebound number seven for him tonight hallebertton outside on the wing matan and that’ll be Oklahoma City’s B as it goes out of bounds 19 seconds left here in the second hallebertton against Wallace pass to Williams to the wing right side a fader no good shade Gilgis Alexander guys has been on display for the Oklahoma City Thunder he comes away with 11 points in the quarter and is showing no signs of fatigue and now we’ll send it over to David Aldrich who is standing by courtside david thanks Kevin rick what’s your analysis of how your defense has done so far well they’re getting too many open looks and threes we’re lucky they’re missing a few but you know with this team they stretch out so much you got to be really alert you got to pay close attention to details rick thanks for your time back to you Kevin thank you David we’ll be back after halftime for the start of the second half momentarily well when you look at how they’re getting their points a good portion come from inside they’re going right at the defense i like the aggressiveness don’t lose steam in the second half okay so now let’s talk about that point guard matchup from the first half their teams have leaned on them and they’ve been rock solid actually more than that they’ve been the catalyst leading by example we’re seeing it first thanks for joining us now let’s toss it to Kevin Harland for the start of the second half and if you’re just joining us we’ve played through the first half in a game that’s been fairly even so far tyrese Hallebertton has been sensational yeah and through the first two quarters he has been the offense for this team yeah he’s he’s shouldering the load right now and looking really comfortable while he’s doing it oklahoma City leading by five the four and the five the lengthy pair of Homer and Harden kiljis Alexander runs things with court to his side and it’s Williams at the three and that’s who Mark Dagnold starts the second half with check in with our reporter David Aldridge hey Kevin thanks chad Holgrren has a slender frame but he’s determined to still protect the rim coach Dagnald said he’ll get dumped on 10 straight times but that’s what the game calls for he paused and then added “He won’t actually get dumped on 10 straight times he’s going to get a couple of those too Kevin certainly worth i agree in a David he is fearless now here is Seako after the miss from Shay gilis Alexander and a wide open look for Hallebertton it’s good this game is all even hallebertton’s got 27 hallebertton has that kind of ability an awkward release but man is he consistent with it jones Alexander against Hallebertton the offensive rebound a put back home on the P and the Thunder lead by two there you go finally getting one to drop they have to be a little better now starting one for five in this half here’s Nehard defended by Dort and it’s Hallebertton missing and it’s Williams with the ball for Oklahoma City outside Kiljis Alexander down low and stolen by Seakum pass to Nemo and here’s Hallebert for the lead rebound by Williams and even with good coverage defensively that time he has confidence to drill the three now here’s Gas Alexander one points in the game and easy two points on the lane three points in the game and Shay put hitting on a string so hard to stay on top of him as a defender oliver outside turner with a string on Gilus Alexander he was all alone on that one shots are just flowing him right now having a really strong quart he’s made the decision he wants to huddle up with his guys heat heat heat heat i know Let’s check out the teams with the best free throw percentage number one the Thunder you can’t be careless when you play them i mean no wasted opportunities at the line it’s a team effort and they are getting it done a little over two and a half minutes off the clock in this final half of play back to Homegrren outside Williams dort with a screen for Williams over in the corner Dort and the three off target well defended that time he’s a shooter that the D has to close down on quickly but he’s ready to clear the Williams to Dors good great play by Williams to set it up williams has got three assists now in this one this is the area where Thor has really shown some massive improvement great touch from that range now here’s Nith still yet to score back to Hallebertton and two free throws coming up unable to get that one to go with all the contact and one on Julius Alexander can’t be overzealous with Hallebertton when you are he embraces that he got the whistle for Indiana they had gone nine of 10 from the line so making the most of their chances and he makes the first hellbertton hits them both oklahoma City leading by three pass to Hartinstein outside Williams gil Alexander with it ever Hallebertton and there’s Gil Alexander that’s good on the assist by Williams williams has got his fourth assist in this one hallebertton passes to Siako back to Hallebertton and it’s off from three-point range as Williams is denied same block by Siak a sensational block that definitely deserves another look and guys don’t think twice about attempting that shot again that was a big time rejection kilg Alexander kicks to Homegrren against Alexander this has not been a good quarter right here shot has been off the mark and now it looks Kevin like he’s pressing a bit pacers trail by five lebertton outside pass to Siakum and oh boy a lot of contact there but he gets the call and will shoot two i know he’s going to bring some intensity inside he’s embracing the chance to be fouled this is his first trip to the line tonight no good on that one pascal has really worked on his game over the years barely scored as a rookie and worked himself into an allNBA selection alex Caruso gets checked in for the Thunder he hits the second from the line and Gilgus Alexander’s got the ball here for the Thunder four-point game makes good on the way kilus Alexander’s got 27 well we’ve seen that movie a few times having an easy bucket in the paint siakum passes to Hellbert and Homer pulls it down homer’s got eight rebounds in the game a slight advantage for them in the rebound department but that often times is all it takes they’re going to have a nice little run here pacers trail by eight pass to Nemo seakov inside he’s guarded by Williams he gets it in there turner’s got eight and he is a load inside turner can back anybody down to get to his sweet spot williams kicks to Caruso george Alexander looking around outside george sinks the three-pointer george got the lead up to nine now for the Thunder three-point shooting since the half has been about as good as you could ask him for Denise here’s Meard now here is Hbert and the rejection by Hbert and the shot clock is not just about weak it’s about his positioning as well and let’s quickly check out the scoring breakdown here for the Thunder they bullied the defense here in the paint look at all of those buckets inside just hard to defend in the paint well if we add another thing to it it’s about the urgency they’ve played with i mean you look at the eyes of these guys they’re focused wanting to get up tempo and that’s helped them score on the fast break that free throw good from Turner Williams he’s checked in for the Thunder and the Pacers also making a change benedict Matin he’s checked in for Aaron Nesmith he makes one of two that time yeah just a solid job on the backboard they are really controlling the inside jesus Alexander against Hallebertton now here’s Gas Alexander he’s guarded close a chance there to push it to double digits but it’s off the mark and with that the Thunder lead has cut down now to just five on the bucket from Hallebertton he makes it look effortless out there until the defense actually presents a challenge for him expect those kind of results and Mark Dagno calls timeout he’s ready to talk things through with the team heat heat heat heat heat heat and while we’ve got a second here now let’s take a look at the real stats the real scores from the real NBA and find out who the steel leaders are well you look at Wallace one of the league’s best third in steals and of course Shay Gilis Alexander just two behind when you’ve got those two guys out there both with such quick hands one hiccup by a ball handler and they’re off to the races here’s Torch 12 points for him now Gilg Alexander Oklahoma City moving it around inside Russo and they call the foul so a chance at the line for one more coming up and Gil just Alexander with that height at his position allows him to do so many things other guys really pretty much dream of first trip to the free throw line for him tonight pacers trail by eight nehard with it hasn’t made one yet hallebertton outside no good on the three and and they’re controlling the boards Kevin that’s plus five in that category tor kicks to Gilis Alexander it’s rebounded by Indiana’s got his fourth rebound in this round pass to Turner fires for three and the three ball is good turner’s got 12 points in the game makes decisive decisions on the hardwood once Turner saw the catch and shoot opportunity he was locked and loaded back to Williams pocket six 14 ft away he squares up and sinks it williams has got four points in the quarter yeah as a shooter Williams is fairly flexible alexander against Hallebertton bounce pass is Matthew and slammed in by Turner they’ve worked hard to get this lead can’t start giving up easy slams all of a sudden yeah G that’s right and that was easy good round for him yeah we see this all too often the team gets a huge lead and then their guard gets let down so it’s the Thunder following the score by Indiana pastor Williams takes up a three a three-pointer is right on target he’s got 11 can we say he was playing a bit here in the first half because seems to be a different guy out there way more assertive hallebertton finds Turner seakum with it three-pointer that balls nice feed that time from Turner how about the confidence from Seakum coming back with a quick response and Mark Dagno calls timeout he wants to make some adjustments to the game plan clearly heat heat heat heat for the Thunder j is checked in for Williams aaron Wiggins comes in for Shane Gilis Alexander and it’s Casey Wallace in for Dort indiana also making some changes toins checked in for Turner shepard comes in for Andrew Nhar and it’s TJ McConnell in for Hallebertton the Thunder leading by five here’s Wallace he has five and he banks in the lead wallace has got seven points in the game and you’re going to take as many of those high percentage shots as you can get pass to Seakum buries it down low seakum being aggressive looking for his shot this time capitalizing from the inside williams passes to Chang wallace outside that one goes in he’s got none and after really leaning on that three-point shot in the first half seemed like they’re just getting away from it here in the second more of the shots coming from the interior to the inside toppin and Toppin throws it down and Toppin on top of the world there and here’s Williams now he’ll bring it up for Oklahoma City their biggest lead of the game was nine five to shoot that’s rebounded by Indiana his shooting has been a little bit below par you think about what this lead would look like if he was on goes up and lays it nice and easy williams has got nine points now in the quarter so quick in that open floor kaylin Williams mcconnell scanning the floor siako right side misses the lane their game plan needs to change if they’re going to get out of this hole because he is just not there offensively poked away it’s stolen by Matan mcconnell against Caruso mcconnell passes to Matin tapping a screen on Wiggins to the middle that’s it and the Oklahoma City leaders cut to just five points and the basket from jumping not being as aggressive from the three-point line anymore they’ve had a lot more attempts in that first half jane dishes to Ellis wiggins sets a screen for Wallace toppin pulls it in and really the smart thing would be to hold for the last shot yeah every second right now is valuable to you that should be their strategy to the inside no good on that one and that’s going to do it for the third quarter thunder out in front a And we’re coming right back be sure to stay with us as we get started for the fourth quarter and now we have a moment toh reveal our state font assist of the game and he sliced the knee wide open with this feed they had no chance to prevent that basket that’s what great passing will do for you right there dissecting the defense with that play and with three quarters behind us we start the fourth quarter what is still anybody’s ball game and a look at the five for the Pacers to start the fourth quarter benedict is out there with Walker then it’s Hallebertton it’s TJ McConnell and it’s Topin in at the five spot and the shot goes in hallebertton’s got 36 hallebertton one of those guys who’s always on his toes and plays the offensive end with a ton of energy hit by Williams here’s Wallace and contact on the shot so he’ll be shooting free throws here hands on Benedict Matherin the first free throw is good 62 free throws aces trail by five and here’s Hallebertton latrey bangs on the trifecta hallebertton’s got 39 what an exhibition he’s putting on today this is about as hot as you can get gilges Alexander against McConnell williams has a screen for Wallace shot clock at six back to Gilas Alexander over McConn and Gil Alexander the bucket on the assist by Wallace and it’s 29 points for Shay Gilas Alexander now here is Hallebertton covered by Joe inside and stolen by Williams wallace against Matray pass to Gilg Alexander into the lane shooting foul as the whistle blows he’ll shoot two free throws just Alexander coming at you so a thorn in the defens’s side shoot that’s good from Gilas Alexander and if they continue Kevin their outstanding free throw shooting that’ll help them seal the deal just Alexander hits them both in that 2018 draft you think about those names Donic Jiren Jackson Jr and Shay Gilis Alexander but it’s a lot to begin with and that one is good hallebertton’s got 41 and they’re forcing the ball inside and it’s working like a charm williams up on top first quarter of play about two minutes in now here’s Alexander toppin pulls it in toppin’s got four rebounds in this game hallebertton outside always going up for the LU here and Tophin throws it down and for a big guy Obie is quick off the floor oklahoma City’s gone six of 14 with the three ball tonight just a little over 40% here is Alexander the bucket is good he’ll have a chance for one more it’s going to be on Obie to strongh he’s checked in for Isaiah Joe and Indiana with a change here too neard’s checked in find the lane good shot that’s good from Jo Alexander and the growth that Shay has shown over the years it has come on so fast with how he has improved and he’s adding to his game top of his screen on Gil Alexander Hallebertton no good oklahoma City leading by five punches a three walker with the rebound the patients have gone an outstanding four or five from the field in the fourth quarter so far indiana moving it around julius Alexander with the steel drops in the breakaway lane jesus Alexander’s got 15 points here in the second half sga able to slip out with that speed escape up the court from there it’s easy work here’s Hbert indiana again turning it over and Oklahoma City looking a change here jones has checked in for Oklahoma City they’ve gone three of five here in the fourth quarter pretty good numbers coming out of the break hallelbertton against George Alexander over Hallebertton and the rebound goes to the Pacers near’s got five rebounds tonight down low here’s Walker and finished off by Walker when Jarus Walker stuffs it we feel those bucks over here jesus Alexander against Hallebertton and good that time kil Alexander’s got 38 points all night they’ve asked him to shoulder the scoring load and he is not disappointed here’s Hallebert and he drops in the layup off the glass he is just self-willing his team right now doing everything he can to keep him alive wallace outside to the paint wants to get it over to Nort and does those kind of dunks get your team going and Luden Stewart find the pressure and so it’s Albertton who brings up the ball for Indiana they trail by seven down low here’s Walker and the dunk by Walker and way to finish and cut into that lead a little bit have a look at the the basket guys still shaking wallace with a screen on Hellbert here’s Gilgis Alexander makes it off the glass gilg Alexander’s got 40 points he is at his best when it matters most this game is theirs as long as he can keep this up walker finds Matin it’s Mehard on the wing just five on the clock over Bliss a shot by Nhard no good the Thunder leading by seven now here’s Gas Alexander from outside the arc walker with the rebound the three-pointer has not been his weapon in this one he had one in the first quarter and still zero here in the second hallebertton kicks to Chompin he falls nice feet that time from Hallebertton hallebertton who’s got assist number five here for tonight outside Alexander outside Jones and they come right back with their own three-point Jones has got his first bucket of the game and he’s on the board for three here’s Nehard wallace covering no good and even without that three ball dropping for him the confidence should have done more on that last play it’s alive great positioning on the football oh this has got the lead up to nine now for Oklahoma City could come down to selection bad shots in the first half here in the second using his head finding some more efficient opportunities to score and your point guard’s got to be the catalyst great job getting to the tape well Greg he knows when they need a lift did you see how much air he had under him lap now here’s Gas Alexander and he can’t bank that one in Matan against Dort now Matarin pass to Chomp taught that one and now it’s only a fivepoint Thunder lead and I like this don’t just put Obie on the perimeter or have him spot up use that length use that toughness let him make plays inside now here’s Walt tries it from the top of the key and he connects with the jumper wallace has got six here in this quarter pacers trail by seven and so it’s Carile here calling timeout he’s not taking any chances and wants to huddle him up right away heat heat heat heat a different look for Oklahoma City martin Stein’s checked in for Jones comes in for Wiggins and Jaylen Williams is subbed in for Waltz leaser is also changing it up turner’s checked in for Chompin pascal Seakum comes in for Walker and Aaron E smith subbed in for Benedict Mathan a moment now to hear from our sideline reporter Hall of Famer David Aldridge david hey Kevin i heard Brick Carlile during that last break talking with the team now he preached the importance of patience down the stretch coach said “We’re not going to get it all back at once let’s take it one step at a time make it simple make it easy.” Kevin back to you thank you David and the replay demonstrating once again how aggressive that defense was and a block like that sends a message up one that says we’re not giving up this lead now here is Hallebertton to the middle first shot by Turner no good solid rebound there and with the score like it is that’s an area where they can’t afford to get lazy and you could tell he thought that triple was going to fall knees with the ball he’s against Williams for three seakum a thunder pour in talk about hurting your teeth i mean you just can’t get anything to go out there shine with the screen for Jordan the rebound by Hallebertton the defense better tighten up on the mid-range they’re much much tighter you expect him to make every single one of those wow what a rough second half for him shooting the basketball maybe you adopt a pass first at this point and the dunk by Hardenstein not the kind of aggressive defense they need to cut into the lead yeah you have to protect the rim Greg a little bit good job to recognize the opportunity it’s just very solid offense the Thunder leading by nine here’s Gil Alexander and he gets that one to go off the front kilus Alexander’s got 42 in the game gil Alexander against Allebertton got a piece of it gil Alexander against Albert two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul shoot two that free throw missing and he sinks the second pacers trail by 12 pass to Siakum to end the drought good T by Homer oklahoma City’s gotten just one or four three-pointers to go down for them here in the fourth and the dunk by Kilis Alexander kilgus Alexander has blossomed into this forceful guard just look at this performance and so it’s Hallebertton who brings up the ball for the Pacers to the inside seakum and finished off by Seakkum there are only a few players who can hit a teammate like that in stride beautiful assistard the pass to Seakum and Seakum throws it down yes Spicy P getting up oklahoma City leading by 10 thor passes to Gilgish Alexander try and 10 and Oklahoma City again with the bucket another good play this is how they built the lead calling on the right guys at the right time basketball IQ is something that gets talked about but it’s importance to a team showing up here running plays and turning to score kept alive both shooting up 52% from the field as to Hartenstein there’s the pick here’s Dor and that’ll be two free throws coming up officials on the call with the foul it’s going to be on Miles Turn and that’s just Dort being tort i mean the guy plays so physical and bullies his way inside the first one falls for Dort is a guy who puts his head down and goes to work he gives every bit of focus on every play and teammates love what he brings to the court is no good ruben Stewart continues to find ways to impress you and expand his offensive game but he knows he’s coming to the league as a defender and takes a tremendous amount of pride tonight now here is Seako inside for Hellbertton back to Seako and that’s out of bounds it was last touch by Hbert and so only one team answered the bell tonight guys not a monster blowout by any means but still a double- digit victory for Oklahoma City this was a physical physical game yeah I mean they were aware of the rotations defensively and were able to attack the rim well in a dominant year where we’ve watched this team battle night in and night out all season long this will bring their win total to an impressive 69 and once it becomes official this win gives them a nice confidence boost against this team they’ll face them twice more this season and what a tremendous standout performance it was for Shis Alexander it was tough to cover all game long one of those nights when he felt like nobody could stop him and they didn’t yeah way to get there first and be willing to absorb the contact we’ve got 33 seconds left to play in the final quarter caruso kicks to Wiggins wallace with the ball the shot from the low post is good and the Thunder lead by 15 an impressive job by the players coaches and don’t discount the impact of these fans awesome to see their output tonight trying to urge their team on and that can always help that that home advantage of home fans getting you going fully on display here so no problem for Oklahoma City as they get the win a confident win and one where they clearly showed the greater effort yeah I I mean it was a solid performance uh particularly here at home and I think they built off that edge of being here and playing with just a little more confidence than their opponent and that’ll wrap it up folks for Greg Anthony Brett Barry and David Aldridge this is Kevin Harland thanks for watching the NBA presented by 2K Sports and now our player of the game Sheay Gilgis Alexander all right Doris how about teams like these who can really run their offense through their bigs ba over the years one of the things I’ve heard from coaches quite often is how effective a threetool big man can be when you can drive it pass it shoot it score it do all the things they can it changes the geometry of the floor a look at Indiana starting group seakum at power forward with Turner in its center hallebertton and Nhard the one and the two and it’s kneemith in at the three small forward now here’s Hallebertton the shot comes out gil just Alexander against Hallebertton 11 ft out gilis Alexander good shay Gil just Alexander that threelevel scoring ability that time working the mid-range turner a screen on Gilis Alexander hallebertton misses and Williams has got the ball here for Oklahoma City and this match up with the Pacers their first meeting of the season and they were able to come away with wins in both games last season impressive to say the least now these two teams could easily end up needing to decide the NBA championship tonight could be a preview of something with more on the line down the road now here’s Hallebertton last game for him he had 14 five to shoot fires away from way outside the Thunder with the rebound i know that he has the ability and confidence to sink that shot but better leg next time maybe and for most guys I think you’re only going to take that shot if you’ve hit a few in a row that is absolutely a heat check now here’s Hallebertton you know his stats have been solid averaging around 18 and a half points a game turner passes to Hallebertton come on jacks up a three sinks it from distance you know that’s what he wants more of up until now the accuracy just hadn’t been there and let’s swing it over to the sideline and hear from Ally a bit ago Mark Dagnol and I were able to chat i asked coach what his plan was for trying to slow down Pascal Seakum and he said to make him into a jump shooter he does the most damage around the rim so we want to force him out on the perimeter whenever possible it’s not an easy task by any means we’ll see if they’re able to do this back to you guys appreciate the report Ally now here’s Hallebertton over Gil’s Alexander another miss by Hallebertton and the shooter had very little space on that attempt right he stays connected and great timing on the contest the shot by Gordon no good boy the offensive flow just isn’t there right now one for five to start the game and Dora is such an important guy on the defensive end lou Dorton he is strong he plays hard he’s willing to mix it up physically he’s a tremendous athlete this guy is tough to score on all right Doris where do you think Hallebertton ranks among the NBA’s best point guards well he’s certainly BA got to be near the top of the list number one his vision is absolutely tremendous he can create on the fly as importantly to me it’s his spirit and presence the joy he brings to the game the first free throw is good well the Thunder will be building a new arena doors right across the street from their current home well how exciting that the downtown arena is set to open in the 2930 season with a 25year lease this secures the team’s long-term future in Oklahoma City and honestly BA this fan base is so passionate they deserve it one thing about the Pacers Doris they can flat out score the basketball it is incredible to me BA how infrequently the ball sticks they play fast whether in transition or in the half court they make defenses work and we’ve got a timeout called by Mark Dull and we might see some changes coach potentially looking to adjust heat heat heat heat heat heat and a quick look at the teams who repeatedly get the job done from the line oklahoma City number one this squad will punish you every time you let them get to the line it’s something they’ve worked on as a team and now they’re reaping the rewards and here’s Gilg Alexander coming in off 21 points in his last outing pass to Dort and all around the rim that time before dropping beldor touched the paint and he was immediately thinking score down low here’s Nimhart that drops and it comes off an assist from Seakam and setting the tempo with an assertive move like where was the defense on that play to me that’s a complete lack of communication on that side of the ball these guys need to be talking to each other now here’s Williams no points so far but it’s Homer missing he didn’t make them pay for that weak defense but they just can’t rely on him to miss those kind of shots seakum pass to Nmith there’s a screen by Turner clock at six here’s Nimhart drilled from 11 ft out nimhart’s gotten his second bucket smooth offense gets them the perfect low wrist look to the left side wing it’s Homegrren high post working on Seiakum here’s Williams the rebound by Turner turner’s got four rebounds now here’s Seakum oh a clear foul there on the miss shot so he’ll get a pair at the line you know Doris the last few years Seakum has gotten back to attacking the rim like he once did to me BA that’s where he’s at his best he’s got such length and creativity you don’t want to have to step in his path as a defender listen he knows he’s got to shoot the three but go to your first strength that’s good from Seakkum all eyes on this contest tonight Doris as these two squads duke it out for playoff positioning brian good teams know who their competition is and when that happens even in a regular season game the quality of competition and the intensity gets immediately ramped up and guess who gets to benefit from that you and I and that’s good as he hits both shots I think the value of Pascal Seakum is the skill set on both ends of the floor he can play multiple positions either end and he can lift his team in any number of ways now here’s Dor giving this team some energy averaging a little over 10 points a game homegrren finds Williams shoots over Nmith and another miss by Oklahoma City indiana leading by seven the shot off that time solid defense from Williams boy they’d love if anyone can get a bucket yeah their offense has been grinding to a halt rolls it in from the elbow williams on the wing from downtown nails it and he’s one for five with that one after missing his first four shots he finally gets one to drop seakum outside turner a screen on homegr with the block you can’t forget about homegr especially when he’s nearby on defense hallebertton outside the three is up indiana again missing so far rebounding has been a focal point for them just a superb read on defense to come up with a block and this is exactly why he’s out here in order to block shots in tight games like this Racers leading by four no one near him and the shot is good dropping in off the front of the rim hallebertton’s got seven points that’s his second make in seven attempts not a pretty start and we’ve got a timeout called by Mark Dagnel i think right now he must be looking at some adjustments heat heat heat heat and let’s check out a breakdown looking at some stats for Tyrese Hallebertton here’s Dort pass to Hardenstein outside Williams hardenstein a screen to the middle yeah Hardenstein slams it in jesus’s man has the angle on the interior and drops a dime right there now Nimhard they set the pick puts up a three drills it from deep nimhart’s got seven points in the game defensively you have to stay connected to him on the perimeter wallace outside pass to Dort and here’s Homegrren he’s covered by Seakkum homer with a screen on Hallebertton wallace misses indiana leading by seven hallebertton on the wing nimart outside there’s a screen by Turner here’s Yakam over it with the block chad Hogan sending it back he is willing to take on any kind of challenge and despite the size mismatch getting a little aggressive down there in the paint some guys just relish the challenge find a way and he does oklahoma City shooting their first free throw tonight mather’s checked in for Indiana on the network well OKC has a great track record with their draft picks and it seems like they got another one in case of Wallace wallace was the 10th pick in 2023 he’s going to give you great physical pressure defense on the perimeter and then he’s going to play to his strength offensively okc rarely misses with their draft picks and they didn’t on this guy outside pass to Williams and here’s Homegrren door to screen on Seakkum back to Williams just five on the clock screen by Homer lets it go from 11 williams misses boy a tough go for him in this quarter you can see how desperately he wants to get things started he just can’t make a shot nice one-handed jam there Ba hey little exclamation point wallace the pass to Harderstein outside Williams inside Homer against Turner he’s moved and Turner with the block how about the reach of Miles Turner he covers so much ground to come up with these blocks back to Seakum there’s a screen by Turner the three Turner with the dunk man that was fast they’re already up by double digits wow they’ve come out strong control the pace assert their will nice now here’s Williams in his last outing 16 points for him turner against Hardstein dor for three knocks it down from distance so Dorch got his second bucket on the night boy nice rise and fire from Lou Dort all right let’s check in with Alli Le Force tim Hol makes up for his light frame with aggression he said quote “You don’t have to take a second look at me now to know that I’m not the biggest dude widthwise so I have to hit first otherwise the game’s not going to go in my favor when things get physical.” Brian you agree i do and you can tell he just refuses to back down alan to the paint there’s Hardenstein pass to Williams arinstein goes and there’s a whistle he’ll head to the line to shoot two and they’ll give that one to Miles Turner doris not only is the Thunder roster full of young talent they also have a ridiculous amount of draft capital ea you’ve got to give a ton of credit to the front office they’ve got multiple options going forward continue to draft and develop their talent or perhaps use those picks to trade for a superstar you believe fits first one falls for him so for Oklahoma City Wiggins comes in for homer and it’s Caruso in for the Pacers making a switch here and so Hardenstein nails both of them indiana leading by six mcconnell with it in his last outing with 12 points pass to Thompson mcconnell right side six on the shot clock shoots over Caruso martin Stein pulls it in listen simply put he’s got a finish it’s not like the defender was right on top of him wallace misses despite the miss those are the kind of looks coaches hope to create mcconnell passes to Tophen knocked away and that’s out of bounds indiana will retain possession as the playoffs draw closer here’s what the East looks like you look at the Pacers they’re currently in fourth place a solid spot to be in late in the year checking out Indiana they’ve stayed within arms length of the conference leaders that in itself is an accomplishment at this point in the season yeah even so though I’m sure they’re not satisfied just being near the top of the standings they’re going to be looking to make a major push as the season winds down the Thunder making a switch here williams has checked in and the basket by Hallebertton when Hallebertton gets this close to the cup he’s got that little tear drop very tough to stop it wallace outside caruso outside wiggins with a screen on McConnell caruso against McConnell from 17 aries the jump shot wallace has got five now looked like some confusion defensively that time left him wide open for a nice look on the jumper pass toppen now Van Williams defending hallebertton looking over the floor lets it go rebound by Wiggins boy a really tough quarter for this guy just struggling to make shots right now williams passes to Caruso back to Williams williams finds Williams lets it go from 11 gets rebounded by Indiana they come into this one having outplayed the Thunder in their last game they had a lot of breaks go their way in that game and hey they cashed in when they could well you have to capitalize when your opponent has miscues and give this team some credit every time that opponent turned it over they capitalized and we’ve reached the end of the first quarter the Pacers out in front up by six quarter number two coming up right after this break don’t go anywhere and thanks again for tuning in if you’re just joining us we played through one quarter of action so far all right guys what do you think so far on the offensive approach for the Pacers well they found a groove and it’s from distance so knocking them down from the three-point lane never hurts yeah and in addition their ball movement has really unleashed their offense boy they’ve been fun to watch thunder trail by six two Jaylen Williams out there for them jaylen with an E at the three and Jaylen with an eye at the five jason Wallace out there with Alex Caruso and it’s Wiggins in at the power forward position that’s the group for Oklahoma City getting going in the second williams a screen on Hallebertton here’s Wallace using his post moves to get the two points wallace has got seven points in the game pick works well there but the defense left a lot to be desired it takes incredible effort to stay connected to the hip of the offensive player you’ve got to want to work hallebertton boy he just hasn’t been able to get a shot to fall listen that’s a looking hit but right now he can’t throw it in the ocean caruso outside williams on the wing banked it in off the glass williams has got his second bucket on the night man he is stronger than he looks trust me i mean Williams has the bulk to win those tough battles inside hallebertton outside lets it go from deep it’s rebounded by Oklahoma City i’ll tell you he’s trying to help them extend this lead but it’s been a tough night for him individually pass to Williams shot is good and this game is back to even williams has got four points in the corner we talk about Williams versatility as a scorer he can get his points from just about any spot on the floor here’s Matherin top screen on Williams is Matherin driving inside after missing his first attempt now one for two yeah this is Matherin at his best driving hard to the cup and finishing in style outside Williams oh there’s the alley aliu up top hammer it home a beautiful setup on the alley great catch great flush for Indiana they’ve gone just one of three to begin the second quarter mcconnell passes to Matherin and it falls two for three from the field so far great body control allows Matherin to finish through contact oklahoma City trailing doris no secret how talented the international players are in the NBA especially those from Canada yeah we’ve seen a number of Canadians come in and have a high level of impact for their team for Matarin think about his availability as rookie year played in almost every game and this guy is a legit scorer at this level well when the money’s on the line the mid-range is still a big part of the elite players game you’re right BA and really it comes down to touch obviously and size certainly helps and then the savvy in balance to create that space and he drops a first boy when you think about Benedict Matron this guy is a talented aggressive scorer his ceiling very high he’s going to have to be a little more efficient joe’s checked in for Oklahoma City shay Gilchis Alexander comes in for Williams he’s perfect from the line this time quarter number two and around 3 minutes gone by gil just Alexander on the wing he’s marked by McConnell and Gil just Alexander missing i’m sure he’s kicking himself he hates to blow that kind of opportunity mcconnell finds Hallebertton letter williams grabs the board oh man he can’t get anything to fall you can feel his frustration he is trying to shoot his way out of it and it might be better for him to pass the basketball at this point very little resistance around the rim right now that’s the fifth straight bucket they’ve given up in the paint pass to Matherin and he’ll draw a foul he’ll head to the line for two pause here let’s take a look at some guys who have been on fire it’s the real stats real scores from the real NBA shay Gilis Alexander on top he’s the guy every defense fears can’t even slow him down right now no good on the free throw one thing that’s apparent about Matarin is his athleticism he’s got a good blend of agility and strength which gives him multiple ways to beat you hardenstein he’s checked in for Oklahoma City thor comes in for Joe turner he’s checked in for Indiana nimhard comes in for McConnell he hits the second from the line he does a great job of drawing contact and getting himself to the line something he didn’t do in the first period gilis Alexander passes to Dort back to Gilas Alexander strong finish by Gilas Alexander man that’s now 10 straight points in the paint i’m not sure what’s happened to their defense master Turner outside Matherin shot clock at six from deep rebound by Shay Gil Alexander for Oklahoma City they’ve got six of their seven shots to go in the second quarter pass to Dort back to Gilas Alexander carterstein with a screen on Hallebertton here’s Gilis Alexander and a foul called on the way up so he’ll take two from the free throw line and Doris no doubt about it shay Gilis Alexander is an absolute monster on offense very quietly one of the most dangerous offensive players in the game is Shay Gildas Alexander he’s got size he’s got speed he’s got handle he can score from three levels this guy is a legit force that one drops he ties it up boy the more you watch Shake Gold Alexander play the more he shows you the aspects of his game just getting better and better and better walker he’s checked in for Turner and now they lead as the free throw drops in for him he’s making the most of every trip to the line providing for his team hallebertton the pass to Walker knocks it loose here’s Nimhart dort defending there’s a screen by Toppen and the ball out of play the Thunder will have it boy not sure what happened on that one just an unforced error so for Oklahoma City Homegrren he’s checked in for Wiggins and it’s Jaylen Williams in for Caruso seakum he’s checked in for Indiana knee Smith comes in for Matherin here’s Gilas Alexander give him eight to the inside here’s Holren over to the put back hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points homer’s gotten his first bucket of the night and talk about imposing your will that’s 10 straight points in the paint to the paint it’s tipped and stolen by Hartstein williams finds Homegr that doesn’t go either for Homegr i’ll tell you his shot is just lost right now there’s just no consistency amazing that they’re still up in this basketball game and they just keep making mistakes i mean that’s back-to- back turnovers which easily could have been prevented here’s Oklahoma City now they’re on a 16-7 run here’s Gilg’s Alexander look at Shay play it big inside well I absolutely love the way this guy has controlled the pace tonight they’ve been able to play the style they want and we’ll have a timeout here called by Rick Carlile he’s going to talk it over with his guys heat heat heat heat heat heat and Hallebertton has got the ball here for for the Indiana Pacers it’s a five-point game nimhard outside a screen on Dorton here’s Nimhard misses and the drive spell continues thunder leading by five dort the pass to Gilis Alexander hardenstein with a screen on Hallebertton just Alexander from outside here’s Harding so it’ll be two free throws he was fouled in the act of shooting he’ll pin that one on Pascal Seakum all right guys what do you think about the offensive approach we’ve seen so far for the Thunder well they found their offensive openings in the mid-range and they continue to find ways to open up those jump shot opportunities the other thing they’re doing is making plays off the bounce and boy once they get a step they’re getting all the way that one misses and he’s good on the second pacers trail by six hallebertton outside spins toppin outside that’s good and Hallebertton gets the assist wow from the arc toppin shoots with real authority you can tell it’s the area of the floor that he’s comfortable let’s go now to the sideline and catch up with Ally Leforce hey Brian defender has to be coach Mark Dagnel said we compete and on nights we aren’t we get back to that very quickly the competition level and the willingness to do it together is the foundational piece brian all right Ally good stuff there thank you the hard to pass to Got a piece of it for right side to home indiana with a rebound toppton’s got four rebounds now lee Smith with it now here’s Hallebertton just Alexander defending hallebertton the pass to Seakam now here’s Tophin and here’s N down to five on the shot clock shoots a fade away the long distance three is buried kneesmith’s got five well if you offer no resistance defensively he’s going to knock down the three it’s really that simple guys back to Gilis Alexander down low here’s Hardenstein and Hardenstein slams it in it’s so nice to see a young star creating for another guy congra making good use of the pick and roll now Hallebertton nine points in the game to outside here’s Nith good on the shot nmith’s got five points now this quarter credit their discipline they’ve been working for high percentage shots pass to Hardenstein now homes Alexander with a ball defended by Hallebertton 11 ft out that one a tad off line but it drops in for him he’s got 12 we all know that SGA is very capable of averaging 30 for a season tonight’s exploit should come as no surprise topped it outside from behind the arc and again it’s Indiana with a three well the versatility he possesses makes him a very tough cover guys hartinstein with a screen on Hallebertton and there’s a whistle that’ll belong to Shay Gil Alexander that’s his third foul so far and just a great job of getting there first and absorbing the contact and we’ll have a timeout here called by Rick Carile he wants to give him a breather and talk things over heat heat heat heat caruso he’s checked in for Oklahoma City the Pacers also with a sub mather’s checked in indiana trailing here seakum left side and it’s out of bounds they say it was last touch by Seakum and it’s Caruso with the ball for the Oklahoma City Thunder they’re moving on after a tough loss they took at the hands of the Pacers they had a tough time beyond the ark a lot of their possessions ended in miss threes what was most disturbing to me was they didn’t have a tackle right the threes aren’t falling what do you do next yeah Parker Sky gets it to go got to love how they’ve been crashing the boards fighting hard for every miss nimhard outside on the elbow and it’s out of bounds to Indiana here are the NBA’s premier passing teams the league leaders in assist in third the Pacers this is a squad that understands the importance of being unselfish and moving the ball you love to watch smart basketball like that arstein against Siaka and what’s surprising during the second quarter he hasn’t really looked like himself no matter what he’s tried it hasn’t worked unfortunately the team is suffering from that that’s the homegrown screen here’s Williams they get the rebound 125 left to play in the second quarter second chance effort and it’s good on the layup williams has got six here in the quarter they’re finding ways to get the ball into the paint five consecutive buckets and basing the layup now this is where the length of Pascal Siaka makes him so hard to stop even with contact he’s able to get through or around hardenstein with it and it’s Tophin picking him up caruso pass to Homegrren with the clear drop and he was fouled while in the act of shooting so he’ll take two free throws that one on Nimhart he’s getting his first free throw attempts of the night now big go and the first one at the line is good indiana making a switch here mcconnell’s checked in he does not get the second one hardenstein passes to Caruso store a screen on Matherin oklahoma City’s got to hurry they got to get up a shot williams from long range counted from distance williams has got 12 well you got to be able to shoot fast in the league so it’s nice to see Williams doesn’t need a lot of setup time foul against Caruso Mining Court grabs the miss and they just continue to dominate the boards and stolen by McConnell here’s Nimhart and it’s in there nine points in the game good ball pressure and fast plays like that will tighten this up quick what a performance for Shay Gilis Alexander he has been the story for Oklahoma City and that quarter was all about him leading the comeback charge now they’re up in this one more NBA on 2K Sports right after this they’ve done a lot of things well but I look at the second chance points that’s where they’re doing the most damage guys comes down to one two right now they wanted more and now as the regular season marches on here’s how things look in the West as we near the final stretch taking a look here at the Thunder with the playoffs right around the corner they’re in tremendous shape they’re right on top in the first half glad you could join us brian Anderson and crew are ready to take it away for the start of the third quarter we’ve got second half action for you and if the next couple of quarters are similar to the first this one could go down to the last possession you have to like what we’re seeing from Shay Gilis Alexander the numbers say it all he spent the first half playing efficient ball i think they’ve taken their time they’ve showed incredible patience it’s a sign of a well coached ball club thunder leading by five on the floor for Indiana may Smith and Seakum are the forwards hallebertton and Nhard the one and the two and it’s Turner in at the five down low back to Gilis Alexander great D that time from Hallebertton indiana’s gone six of 14 from the perimeter tonight seakum with it now guarded by Homegr seakum gets the bucket now this guy continues to build his offensive skill set pascal Seakum with the mid-range jumper now here’s Williams Smith covering now here’s Gilis Alexander five on the clock here’s Williams from V homegr the rebound by Turner turner’s got his fifth rebound in this one well Doris Chad Homegrren was one of the more highly touted guys coming into the league in a long time he was BA and he has lived up to the billing at that size to be able to shoot the ball put it on the deck be a force at the rim defensively but maybe his best attribute he is a tough competitor and he got the whistle on the way up so he’ll be headed to the line for a pair boy Pascal Sakin can put a ton of pressure on the defense this guy has a physicality that you love and this is his second trip to the line tonight he makes a first one of the things that we’re watching happen with Pascal Seakum is the willingness to accept more and more responsibility both from a leadership and a productivity standpoint guys and it has been something else to watch that growth seakum hits them both and Gilis Alexander’s got the ball here for the Oklahoma City Thunder they lead by one lands soft on the front of the rim and drops in gilg Alexander’s got 14 well that’s SGA in a nutshell right there quickness length guile finishing on the interior pass to Nimhart n Smith with it inside here’s Seakum and it’s good for two 13 points in the game man that is tenacity from Pascal Siaka he was simply undeterred outside Williams to the middle and Hartenstein slams it in that gives him a double double and plays like that one can make the difference in a close game and it definitely got the bench on their feet too well credit him for going for it not settling saying I’m going to attack and the basket by Hallebertton wow what a start to this half three for three dictating the pace on the offensive end they’re rolling early alexander looking it over the rebound by Turner turner’s got six rebounds here tonight seakum draws the double hallebertton for three that drops and it comes off an assist from Seakum seakum’s got four assists now tonight great play calling great execution leads to four for four to start this half pass to Dort here’s Holdren for three bullseye champing for three and you can already tell Homegrren has an edge to his game hits the three right back that’s the competitive streak you need as a young player seakum the pass to Hallebertton nimhard outside shot clock at five from deep three-point land oklahoma City grabs a miss harderstein’s got rebound number 12 here already in the game williams shot is good and now a three-point Oklahoma City lead it doesn’t matter what position Jaylen Williams happens to be playing on any given night this guy’s a force offensively turner screen on Gilis Alexander fires the three and it’s Homer will rebound got his fourth rebound in this one here’s Williams oh that one makes him seven for 14 got a nice rhythm going here today yeah I mean Jaylen Williams got as great a basketball frame as you could hope for that’s strength right there there’s a screen pass to Seakum to stop the run connects from downtown seakum’s got nine points now in the second half defensively you can’t afford to get stuck on the pick you know exactly what that takes it takes energy it takes activity it takes intensity williams with it and the foul is called he missed it so he’s got a couple of free throws coming his way aaron Nith picks one up i mean Jaylen Williams is a guy who a lot of people are excited about he has the talent to be a multi-time all-star and perhaps an even higher ceiling than that shoot two that free throw misses the 12th overall pick in 2022 jaylen Williams what a find by the Thunderdors this is so exciting for this organization because even though JDub went to a mid- major school wasn’t a big high school recruit he ended up being second in rookie of the year voting he’s getting better and better he has got an unbelievable future sinks the second here’s Nimhart he’s got nine to the wing on the left to the inside with a steel outside williams Dor outside lets the three fly and Williams gets the bucket on the assist from Dort so Dorch got three assists tonight a shot that Williams continues to work on you love seeing these type of results here’s Hallebertton oklahoma City grabs a miss williams has got four rebounds now i’ll tell you what they’ve been aggressive and they’ve been physical pass to Dor turner against Hartstein short a screen on Hallebertton pocket four williams in the post defended by Hallebertton williams misses count it and one he’ll have a chance in a three-point play lou Door picks one up hallebertton’s vision and then the ability to thread the needle there makes the defense pay and a chance to catch up on some numbers here the scoring breakdown for the Thunder they feel like they have an advantage inside and so far they have done an excellent job exploiting it the other thing that’s been impressive is really just relentless driving the basketball doesn’t matter if the defense is there they are challenging them and getting it done and free throw no good but certain guys are just solid with what they do doris I think that applies to Angel yeah I think it does BA because whenever he’s out there there’s this steadying presence he brings and that is while competing at a high level on the defensive end his competitive toughness might be his best attribute this will be his third trip to the free throw line toppin he’s checked in for Indiana pacers trail by seven and here’s Hallebertton 14 points for him top of the screen on Caruso hather passes to Tophen marked it down low that time got hit with the 3second call and these are the best teams this season when it comes to converting points off turnovers number one the Thunder it’s one thing to cause turnovers but the key is turning those takeaways into points and this team is the best in the league at doing that here’s Oklahoma City now they’re on a 14-5 run williams on the wing caruso against Matherin back to Williams just five to shoot and there’s the screen going outside three-pointer fires in the triple dors got his third bucket of the night boy a tremendous job having hands ready be prepared catch and shoot opportunity for Lou Dort is good just Alexander against Hallebertton and there’s a whistle that’s going to go on Lou Dort that’ll be a second foul of the game and there’s just one foul now away from the pinnacle mather with a ball guarded now by Williams and it’s Matherin missing you have to credit their effort i mean they’ve done an amazing job on the glass down low sga showing off the athleticism there and they’re refusing to take a break even with a nice lead they just continue to attack you got to love it and that to me is a sign of excellent coaching there’s an attention to detail there is valuing of every possession top of the screen on Gilis Alexander here’s Hallebertton oh it’s blocked by Gilus Alexander sgaa an outstanding defender that time sends it back williams misses pacers trail by 12 nimhard with it 11 points in the game seakum with a screen on Dort down to five on the shot clock here’s Nimhart and Indiana misses again well terrific defense they obviously respect his ability and just want to make it tough and he was camped in the lane there he gets a 3second call williams has checked in for Oklahoma City wallace comes in for Shay Gil Alexander mcconnell he’s checked in for Indiana indiana’s gotten two of four threes to fall here in this third quarter pass to Seakum seakum draws the double on the wing nimhard williams defending and stolen by Williams outside Williams back to Wallace williams with the screen from the high post wallace misses i’m sure if he had the chance to do that possession over again he would not have taken the shot seakum outside finds it again six for 12 and remaining assertive can’t blame the deficit on him he’s been scoring at will this period williams shot is good williams has got 10 points in the quarter and he’s carried them this quarter a dominant offensive stretch pass to Seakum now here’s Nimhard this one for three that drops and it comes off an assist from Seakum nimart’s got 14 points well that’s his second three of the game one in the first half one here now Caruso Caruso a screen on McConnell here’s Williams oh the Thunder tap on two more defensively they’ve got to get more bodies in the paint that’s three straight field goals from below the free throw line top and outside pass to Maller fades and shoots williams grabs the board williams has got four rebounds now and I’ll tell you they’re going to need more from this guy if they’re going to cut into this deficit the shot by Gordon no good pacers trail by 11 here’s Seakum williams defending baseline drive and there’s Seakum that one’s good on the assist from McConnell seakum’s got 13 points here in the second half alone a minute 29 left to play in the third quarter of basketball pass to Williams now Limhard 14 points for him mather with a ball now mcconnell inside here’s Seakum williams grabs the board williams has got his fifth rebound in this one to the paint and he’s going to the line for two the officials saw contact while he was going up i don’t mind that i mean they met him at the rim and temporarily prevented the points shoot two first free throw is good wiggins he’s checked in for Dor and the Pacers also making a change shepard he’s checked in for Nimhart and Williams drops them both he’s forcing the action now finally getting to the charity strike after no freebies in the first half inside here’s Seakum yes and it’s McConnell with the assist that time mcconnell’s got three assists now in this one oklahoma City leading by nine now here’s Wallace seven points in the game we’ve got 33 seconds left in the third that’s a very good look and converts wallace has got nine points got to fight harder to get over those screens you know we see this all the time you’re basically as a defender hoping the man misses rather than putting in the work to get over screens there’s Seiaka with the slam well the athletic ability of Pascal Seakum with a little sauce there might be a good idea to run the clock hold it for the last shot it’s all about patience right here patience and execution get a good look there’s the three he’s off on that one and we’ve reached the end of the third oklahoma City ahead up by nine and we’ll be back right after this and while we have a chance let’s go to our State Farm assist of the game talk about painting a magnificent picture with that dime just a great decision and a perfect delivery we call that putting it right in the pocket and he knew what to do with it once it was there fourth quarter action is upon us thanks as always for joining us we’ve got Aaron Wiggins shay Gilis Alexander is out there with Case Wallace then it’s Alex Caruso and it’s Williams in at the center position that’s the lineup for Oklahoma City it’s good that’s three buckets in a row off assist oklahoma City leading by seven here’s Wallace pass to Caruso back to Wallace oh and that one no question powered it down woo defensively you can’t afford to let him get to the rim that easily well that might be why their deficit is what it is right now i’ll tell you you can’t get stops if you’re unwilling to put in the work mcconnell outside the kick out to Walker hallebert against Gilis Alexander hallebertton the pass to Walker over Wiggins walker shot is off there is one principal reason why they’re sitting on this lead rebounders Alexander from outside and it’s Shay hitting the three puts one in the eye of the defense first triple of the year pacers trail by 12 mcconnell outside hallebertton outside the three ball williams grabs the board well you’re trying to answer the three but if you force up a shot he would have been better off passing up top it against Wiggins outside Gilis Alexander five to shoot launches it and Wiggins gets it to go the assist by Gilas Alexander backing up that last three with another three the defense has to stop giving them so many clean looks mcconnell against Gilg Alexander out left to the wing mcconnell left side the kick out to Walker Cin passes to Matherin nothing falling for them right now and here’s Gilas Alexander he’ll bring it up for Oklahoma City a great fourth quarter just giving up two points gilas Alexander double teams williams from long range and that comes off the assist by Gilis Alexander gilas Alexander’s got four assists in the game pacers trail by 18 and we’ll have a timeout here called by Rick Carile coach clearly has something he wants to say to his team right now heat heat heat heat heat heat for the Thunder chang comes in for Williams and it’s Lou Dort in for Wallace and the Pacers also making a change nimhart’s checked in and here’s Hallebertton walker a screen on Gilas Alexander here’s Hallebertton no good and they can’t put it into the drought and they’re up considerably because of their efforts on the glass deflects the pass it’s stolen by Hallebertton them hard the pass to Hallebertton the shot one fall it’s obvious they’re becoming frustrated nothing seems to be going their way it just been one of those games and they need to find a way to turn it around before it gets completely away from them but outside the arc Indiana with the rebound dolphins got seven rebounds in the game and there’s the lock stolen by Caruso pass to Gilas Alexander now Dort Jen passes to Dort clock at six back to Jen fires top of the key and the rebound goes to the Pacers and here’s Nimart back to Hallebertton toppin outside looking to get it going from the arc down it goes and a great assist by Hallebertton hallebertton’s got four assists now tonight the very definition of a stretch four toppen is a knockdown shooter so vital for the spacing to his basketball team scored outside pass to Wiggins the three is up catherine with a rebound pacers trail by 15 up top nim hard outside walker down low here’s Toppin and a fly out by Toppen boy the explosiveness of Obie Topphen can really shock the defense this guy gets excellent airspace and Mark Dagnel has called a timeout he wants to make sure they’re purposeful with the game plan heat heat so for Oklahoma City williams has checked in for Jen and it’s Wallace in for Caruso time now to hear from our reporter Ally Leforce hi guys well Mark Dagnel was just reviewing the plan with his team he told them “No time to celebrate the work is not finished we’ve got to stick with it and keep growing what we’ve got here.” Words of wisdom for his squad back to you okay thanks Ally outside gilis Alexander double team on Gilis Alexander nimhard with it now Gil just Alexander defending to the inside walker and it goes as the official calls the foul count it and he’ll shoot one more at the line hardenstein he’s checked in for Oklahoma City jaylen Williams comes in for Wiggins miles Turner he’s checked in for Indiana pascal Seakum comes in for Matherin free throw no good for Walker well Doris with so many franchises the star player has a lot of sway well to me VA so much of this speaks to which star are we talking about if you take someone like Stephen H who historically has welcomed other stars to play alongside him or has at moments in his career had to elevate young players who maybe have to play through some mistakes he welcomes both it depends on the star we’re talking about turner against Harduststein nimhard left side it’s not going to go for him good D by Wallace williams passes to Wallace outside Gilis Alexander outside Williams hartinstein with a screen on Seakkum from 11 ft away williams misses pacers trail by 14 pass to Turner hallebertton against Gilis Alexander launches a three the Pacers again can’t hit and guys this has got to be more of a team effort right now he’s playing all for himself oh wasted no time on that one williams has got 17 now just in the second half and looking to shoot as many threes as possible this kind of confidence impressive to see Nhard the pass to Seakum williams grabs the board williams has got rebound number eight here already in the game just Alexander passes to Hartenstein wallace outside let’s go with a three the rebound by Nimhard he is too good a shooter guys to be left open like that the defense just dodged a bullet there williams against Hallebertton walker a screen on Williams hallebertton for three kicks it out to Seakum over Gilg Alexander seakum no good thunder leading by 17 wallace right side back to Dorton to the middle outside for Gilis Alexander knocks down the long K gilas Alexander’s got 25 points in the game well he’s certainly got all the tools sga proving to be increasingly a threat from deep hallebertton against Gilis Alexander back to Seakkum that’s good and Hallebertton gets the assist hallebertton’s got assist number five here tonight the Thunder have gotten seven of 12 shots to drop in this fourth quarter here’s Gilg Alexander and that one’s good he’s got 27 what an aggressive mindset in this period he’s starting to take over hallebertton pass to Seakum nimhard outside oh plenty of contact on that shot officials call the foul and he’ll take two free throws now and you look at the development of AI how might it affect the league going forward Doris i think there’s so much to be learned Brian about that exact thing whether we are talking about the league or whether we’re talking about society to a greater extent as it relates to the league how will teams employ it for scouting does it impact shot selection or player contracts maybe even the negotiation of the next CBA truth is we really don’t know what we do know it’s coming fast and he knocks down the first one oklahoma City making a switch here homegrren’s checked in n Smith he’s checked in for Indiana and that one goes in two from the line that time and Gilis Alexander’s got the ball here for the Thunder to the inside oh still a night Turner lee Smith with it working on Williams and then Turner with the dunk now that’s called positioning and Turner has the verticality to make it easy just Alexander passes to Hartstein dor outside pass to Williams homer with it d finds Homer shot clock at five outside williams shoots over the Smith and the rebound goes to the Pacers hallebertton pass to Seakum great D that time from Homegrren oklahoma City leading by 16 that was good and so Gilg Alexander with the assist a beautiful finish through contact that’s the dog in home hallebertton against Gilis Alexander hallebertton outside here’s the three oklahoma City grabs a miss hardenstein’s got his 18th rebound here tonight all over the place julius Alexander passes to Hardenstein now here’s Dor he’s guarded by Nimhard williams from long range sher from three-point range williams has got six in the quarter it’s safe to say they have dominated this game the game wasn’t even as close as the score says in a great win for the Thunder and you don’t usually see this kind of blowout but tonight they delivered the punishment i mean what’s so impressive is they never wavered in their approach they just kept at it and showed they were without a doubt the better team and this is one of the best teams we have ever seen 69 wins this year wow and having this win on the books might give them a little mental advantage the next two times these squads meet and one of the league superstars producing as he always does what a terrific game for Jaylen Williams no doubt he came to play tonight this guy has been aggressive and effective inside here’s Turner and then Turner with the dunk 36 seconds left in the fourth now Williams to the paint here’s Hardenstein and Hartenstein slams it in they got a big lift from their crowd tonight giving them the energy they needed what an impressive performance to say the least at this point it looks insurmountable limhard the pass to Hallebertton oh it’s blocked by Julius Alexander and so it’s the Thunder taking care of business in this one we saw two different teams tonight one played with confidence operating flawlessly the other just went lost and the energy in this building was awesome the crowd was involved from the jump and once they started to really pour it on it was fun to see how it all came together and that’ll do it folks for Doris Burke Alli Leforce and Grant Hill and our entire crew this is Brian Anderson thanking you for tuning in and now time for our player of the game Jaylen Williams
