Bucks expected to sign D’ANGELO RUSSELL

so the reports have been swirling with the Bucks pursuing D’Angelo Russell and when I first saw this I kind of panicked because I didn’t realize D’Angelo Russell was a free agent and so now that I see he’s a free agent it’s something that I’m a little less panicky about because at least you wouldn’t be giving up any assets or players to go and get him but I will start it off real quick just by saying I’m still against it and I’m pretty hardcore against it reason being I mean this is a guy that has a historically terrible playoff resume in terms of his per his performances in the playoffs and you could say you know well you know that could always turn around and you know that could always change and this that and the other sure maybe i guess you never know but even the regular season last year was really rough for him i mean he didn’t he didn’t get to the playoffs but 39 from the field 31 from three a veteran player that has a terrible playoff resume why in the world would the Bucks be pursuing him i get the argument is like oh they need a guard dame’s going to be out a scoring guard and you know he’ll help you get you through the regular season but I mean if you look at his numbers from last year that wasn’t even the case and so when you when you have a guy that wasn’t as good in the regular season last year as even Kevin Porter Jr or Ryan Rollins or any of the Bucks guys the guards that they had last year he wasn’t as good as the other guards that we’ve talked about for the Bucks that are available in free agency as Taius Jones as Dennis Shruder why would you want to go and get D’Angelo Russell like for me guard isn’t even that much of a much of a need i know Dame Lillard’s going to be out but I just think that we saw some po point Giannis and I think that in today’s NBA do you really need a points guard at all times be nice but like D’Angelo Russell I don’t think that’s that much of a need like I think it’d be better to just bring back Ryan Rollins better call Rollins pay Gary bring him back bring back Kevin Porter Jr bring back Jericho Sims and just say you know Kevin Porter Jr will play some guard he’ll get you 15 ryan Rollins will play some guard he’ll get you 12 aj Green will get you 12 um Gary Trent Jr will get you 15 16 giannis will get you 30 like you’ll get enough points i think like I don’t think you need to go and get an inefficient shot chucker that doesn’t play defense that’s old and or fairly old at this point not like washed old but like not improving any more old um yeah I just don’t think it makes any sense for the Bucks i would love to go and get like a two-way wing like a Nikquila Alexander Walker with that available money but that might not be realistic but even worse comes to worse go get Dennis Shruder go get Ty Jones those are guys that have been impact players on very winning teams where I guess you could say D’Angelo Russell has been with the Lakers but he wasn’t like he he was actually very good a couple seasons ago for the Lakers in the regular season i remember I went to a Bucks Lakers game he gave the Bucks like 40 i think he had the game winner he was going insane so there’s definitely talent in there but he’s a guy that he could have a bounceback season and average 18 for the Bucks and be an efficient scorer but I mean it’s just most likely going to go down in the playoffs and then when Dame gets back it makes no sense whatsoever dameon D’Angelo Russell where a guy like Dennis Shruder you could potentially put him on the floor with Damen Lillard tai Jones might be a little tough but offensively it’s not tough at all i mean Ty Jones would help create for Damen Lillard whereas D’Angelo Russell I mean I guess offensively it could kind of work but defensively it would be very rough and so I just think that for D’Angelo Russell he’d be less comfortable shifting roles as like a Tai Jones and I just think that if I’m going to spend money I’d rather spend it on our younger guys that are improving and if I’m going to go and spend money on a veteran guard I’m going to get a guy that’s steady that doesn’t have playoff disasters um such as a Dennis Shruder who we’ve seen step up in the Olympics and we’ve seen have some nice playoff moments was pretty good for the Pistons last year i believe in that playoff series he might not have been actually but I’ve we’ve seen him be okay in the playoffs before and uh Tai Jones who for the Grizzlies was very solid back in the day so um back in the day like three years ago and so I think that those would be the guys that I’d be looking for um if I was a GM and I would be very much against D’Angelo Russell i’m like the last guy I’d want the Bucks to get as um trading in in a trade the last guy I’d want the Bucks to get would be a uh Demar D Rozan in free agency i think D’Angelo Russell would be my nightmare scenario so please Johnny just don’t do D frozen D’Angelo Russell please but let me know what you all think
