so could the Boston Celtics be trading away Jaylen Brown to the Cleveland Cavaliers this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Boston Celtics receiving Darius Garland Jared Allen a number 49 overall draft pick this year and the number 58 overall draft pick and the Cleveland Cavaliers receiving Jaylen Brown and Sam Hower now in my personal opinion this trade just doesn’t make a lot of sense from a team’s perspective like I don’t really see a world where the Celtics and the Cavaliers two of the top premier teams in the Eastern Conference are going to come together and make a trade of this magnitude with the fear of losing the trade and seeing the other team uh win maybe a championship in the near future so I don’t see this happening just from a Cleveland Boston perspective but hypothetically if it did I actually love this trade for the Celtics like if you’re the Celtics you’re getting back Darius Garland a awesome point guard Jared Allen an awesome center two second round draft picks for a team in Boston that does a really good job uh accumulating draft picks and hitting on those draft picks especially in the second and later rounds I guess later picks in the first and second rounds this is a steal like you stay competitive next year you hope that Tatum comes back from his injury and this is an awesome move for them uh this also opens up the door for them to trade players like Porzingis and Drew Holiday for maybe less of a package because you are still are getting back the depth in this scenario uh by getting Garland and Allen now for the Cleveland Cavaliers I understand them wanting to maybe shake up this roster and win a championship maximizing this window with Donovan Mitchell playing um at a very high level as well as the emergence of Evan Mobley like having a big three of Evan Mobley uh Jaylen Brown and uh Donovan Mitchell this could be awesome for next year but what happens when Tatum comes back from his injury maybe some other teams in the Eastern Conference get better i think that there’s a risk here that Cleveland may find may fall behind the pack a little bit and maybe not win a championship when it’s all said and done so if I had to pick a winner of this deal I’m going to go with the Boston Celtics because I just trust that this front office will make the right moves when it comes to a Jaylen Brown trade and I don’t see them making a trade with a division rival um at the end of the day so in my personal opinion the winner of this deal would be the Boston Celtics but as always leave your thoughts
