breaking news mavericks assistant coach Shawn Sweeney has agreed to become the new associate head coach of the San Antonio Spurs so Sweeney leaves the Mavericks after four seasons two of which the Mavericks made the NBA Finals and the Western Conference Finals and Sweeney has worked with Jason Kidd for over a decade in Brooklyn and in Milwaukee as well so the Mavericks will be looking for a new head assistant and it sounds like that’s going to be Jay Triano who has already agreed to become part of the Mavericks coaching staff frank Vogle who spent last season as a consultant with the Mavericks could also be an option to join DE Kids bench on a full-time basis so we’ll see what happens but some coaching news and coaching changes coming for the Dallas Mavericks next season
