LSU vs Coastal Carolina CWS Preview | 2025 College World Series Breakdown & Predictions

hey man what is going on goo sports here and man it’s time it’s time for the championship series in the College World Series as it’s going to be LSU versus Coastal Carolina both teams swept through their both their brackets so both teams are going to be well rested both pitching staffs should be good to go with a series that’s going to start on Saturday Sunday and possibly Monday in a three-game set lsu is going for their eighth national championship coastal Carolina’s going for their second national championship and Coastal Carolina won their championship back in 2016 they beat LSU in the super regional in Baton Rouge so little history between the two teams all right so let’s look at let’s look at their we’ll look at the uh their this team’s uh their journey through the College World Series and then we’ll look at some of their stats all right so Coastal Carolina they started off they beat Arizona 7 to 7 to four in the opening game then they beat Oregon State 6-2 to go to the two to go to the 2- game and then they beat Louisville 11 to three so they lot so they really didn’t so they kind of breezed through their bracket a little bit but LSU they beat uh Arkansas 4 to one in the first game then UCLA they beat the second game they beat nine to five and the third game they came back and beat Arkansas six to five as they had to score with three runs in a bottom of the ninth to win six to five so both teams are going to be uh both teams are going to be well rested coming to this uh coming into this matchup on Saturday and I think the uh the uh the pitching matchups have already been uh already been set i’m pretty sure it’s going to be Kate Anderson for LSU and Coastal Carolina said they’re going to start Cameron Folky he’s seven and one on the season for the Shant Clear but uh yeah this should be this should be a very very good good series let’s go look over at the stats real quick at Coastal Carolina because their pitching staff their pitching staff is really good as well they got some guys that can throw just like LSU uh they got Jacob Morrison he’s 12 and0 on the year of 2.08 has made 17 starts on the season and uh he has 102ks and 22 walks on the season uh now Cameron Folk is going to start game one he’s 7-1 and near 3.34 16 games started he has 108 strikeouts 22 walks and the other other starter they have is Riley Iikoff he’s 72 RA of 3.10 10 71 Ks and 11 walks on the season so uh those are probably I mean of course the first order is going to be is going to be Folky but if I if I had to guess who Colts was going to pitch it’s going to be Jacob Morrison in game two that’s just what I assume i mean I don’t know what I don’t know what they’re going to do but that’s just what I uh that’s what I assume that they’re going to do so let’s look over some of the uh other stats for Coastal Carolina as uh All right that’s good with their battings okay all right so uh Kaden Boddine leads the team with a 326 average he has five homers 41 RBI’s and then you have uh Dean Myos 324 average he has two homers 22 RBI’s then you got Sebastian Alexander 314 average he has 10 homers 54 RBI’s then uh Colby Thorndikeke 314 average he has four homers 48 RBI’s on the season ty Dy batting 296 he has six homers and 38 RBI’s then you have uh see West Sykes he’s batting uh 293 he has uh three homers 35 RBI’s barthol 283 on the season 12 homers 51 RBI’s you got Mitchell adding 278 uh he’s bad i look at the home runs here four homers 45 RBI’s then you have uh HO 269 eight homers cozy has seven homers running 268 so uh this team is a really really good hitting team as you can tell they hit a lot of lot of home runs as uh Odine has five home runs Thornike has four Mitchell has four Sykes has two so they got a lot of guys that can hit hit the baseball and their their leading RBI getter is Alexander with 54 so I think this is going to be a really really good matchup for the uh for the Tigers so let’s go over here look at the Tigers and look at uh their stats second to pull this up all right so LSU is Anthony Einson probably going to get the start on Saturday he’s 11-2 with an RA of 2.92 he has 17 starts 143 strikeouts 35 walks i’m sorry backtrack that’s Anthony this is Anthony this is Anthony’s stats apologize he’s 11 he’s 11-2 with an area of 2.9 to 143ks 35 walks kate Anderson’s 11-1 an area of at 3.44 170ks and 30 walks uh now that’s that’s our best two guys Anderson then Einson and probably if I’m if I’m going to assume it goes to a third game I think they’re gonna know it all depends upon depends if Case Evans know pitches in game one or game two it’s either going to be Evans or Cowan that’s going to pitch game three for LS if it goes that far as Evans is 5-1 with an air of two 2.05 05 and Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Zack Howen who just pitched a really good game against Arkansas 3 and three area of 2.92 he has 60ks on the season evans has uh 71 on the season now uh so I think this is I think I think I think this is going to go three games so uh I think I think we’re I think we’re going to see a really good matchup between these two baseball teams i think it’s going to go three games so LSU was led by Derek Curiel with a 348 average Ethan Fry batting 331 Jones batting 330 Brown batting 327 Dickson 306 Stanfield batting 300 uh Milm batting see 292 his average is up a little his his average is up from what it once was then you got uh see Josh Pearson batting 285 Hernandez 274 and uh look for any other uh Brazwell batting uh Brazwell the other starter batting 189 so he’s he’s had a really rough go at it uh this season lsu is led by Jerry Jones with 22 homers 76 RBI’s ethan Fry has 13 homers 49 RBI’s uh Dickson 12 49 11 homers 56 RBI’s hernandez has nine homers 33 RBI’s jake Brown has eight and 48 RBI curiel has seven homers 53 RBI’s josh Pearson seven homers and he also has 33 RBI’s aaron Bey has four homers tanner Ree has three john Pearson Ashton Larson BR Price will all have two homers and Stanfield has one homer for the Tigers so uh I think this is going to be a really really good matchup i think both these teams are kind of evenly matched especially in the in the pitching department i think this is going to be a really good really good pitching matchup it’s going to be a hot one in Omaha going to be an going to be a hot one but I had the Tigers in three i’ll be a homer but I do think this is going to go three games i don’t I I’ll be I’ll be really shocked if LSU sweeps them or if Coastal sweeps them but look both these teams are capable of doing that it’s don’t be surprised if it happens i just don’t think it’s going to happen because I think both these teams are just really good i think this is going to be a really good entertaining series that’s going to go until Monday night but have a good one uh go Tigers
