Dejounte Murray’s BRUTAL Truth Bomb About the Pelicans Will Leave You Speechless!

Dejounte Murray’s BRUTAL Truth Bomb About the Pelicans Will Leave You Speechless!

so Deontay Murray recently sat down Ryan Clark and the guys over there at the pivot and he had a lot of things to say about his time in New Orleans And honestly he peels back the layers of what’s really been going wrong with this franchise and the turmoil has caused him and who else knows whose story hasn’t been heard yet So we’re going to break that down right now in the Pelican Scoop Cue my music This is the Pelican Scoop with Jordan Kitchens breaking down everything under the sun about your New Orleans Pelicans Smash that like button leave a comment and subscribe to stay on top of your Pel’s content Now Running Point here’s Jordan What is good YouTube welcome back to another edition of the Pelican Scoop I am your host of the most Jordan Kitchens and ladies and gentlemen I don’t want to hold you guys too long with the intro because this is this might be a long video and we really and I really want everybody to understand what’s been going wrong with this franchise Let’s call it what let’s call it what it is this franchise So Desante Murray recently sat down like I said with Ryan Clark and the guys over there at the pivot And it was a very great moving interview Well I can say podcast interview whatever you want to call it interview right i’ll put the link in the description And he had a lot of things to say about the Pelicans organization what went wrong last year cuz you know last year was a season from hell not only for the team but for himself You know with his mother having a stroke his cousin dying him coming back breaking his hand and tearing his Achilles and just showing just the lack of support this franchise gives their players And honestly it’s eye opening and I want you guys to enjoy every single clip that I have to grab and show you today So first and foremost let’s not waste too much time Let’s dive right into this bad boy Here’s the first clip I want to show you today Achilles Mhm How frustrating must that have been this is probably the This is my worst the worst experience in the NBA Mhm This is my worst experience in the NBA Uh nothing but love for New Orleans Uh we talking about the city even organization I don’t badmouth nobody This is just my experience This is what Dejonte went through go through Mhm And that trade I it wasn’t even supposed to happen Like that wasn’t even the thing like last summer I was here last summer working out and Atlanta you know knew me and Trey Young you know that was you know they shouldn’t never did that and they were figuring out what they were doing you know they traded me but that wasn’t the team we were talking to That wasn’t even a option It happened I’m a competitor So when it happened I’m I’m like damn I’m I’m back in the driver’s seat like I was in San Antonio When I say that I’m the point guard I get to make the decisions for everybody around this room So the first clip basically explains what went down going with that Deonte Murray and Dyson Daniels trade over the summer last summer And it shows you that apparently the Pelicans wasn’t even on the radar Apparently he he knew he was getting traded cuz he knew that him and Trey Young should even been teamed up in the first place I will say this Dejante is I like this about Deonte He doesn’t hold nothing back He going to tell you how it is And I appreciate that because I I feel like a lot of people need to be more transparent especially what’s been going on with these franchises cuz from Boogie Cousins and Tony Allen and Lonzo Ball it’s like nobody has anything good to say about the Pelicans We going to get into that So apparently he wasn’t even looking to come here and had no idea he was going to come here but he’s like “You know what it’s the opportunity for me to be back in the driver’s seat.” Like I said back in San Antonio I’m the point guard They want me to be the point guard of the future I can say and orchestrate And that’s what we wanted That’s exactly what we wanted as a fan base Exactly what the team wanted exactly what David Griffin thought was going to be able to save his job necessarily He’s like “All right let me finally get a real point guard in here.” So I don’t I’m not Yeah Dyson popped off but I’m I don’t think the move was a bad move in the time Yeah Dejonte got hurt and everything went wrong but at the same time you still need a point guard Now you still need a point guard A year later you still need a point guard So I don’t think it was a bad move It’s just tragic that would happen So so now Deontay is going to start talking about the time period in between training camp up until the first game of the season As you know Dejonte mother had a stroke So he was dealing with that at the same time you know and he’s saying like man I’m in the hospital 10 plus days you know just by my mama’s side And I haven’t haven’t played a lick of basketball and practiced no basketball But he’s sitting there watching the game with her and she’s watching the WNBA and she’s like you know pointing at a screen like that’s what you need to be doing You’re a basketball player So that’s what Dejanti had to say about that I get to New Orleans you know training camp’s good Like I feel healthy everything’s good And I’m excited about what’s about to happen far as our roster and how camp went and everything went downhill From that moment my mom had a stroke seven days before the first game I leave I go back to Seattle I’m with her She wake up out of ICU She gets in the room and we’re watching the W I remember yesterday we watching the WNBA finals She’s just crying and she’s crying cuz I’m right there by her side and she’s just crying and she can’t really talk So I’m like “Damn why you why you what’s going on you good like you going to be good you good i’m right here We all here family here.” She pointing that basketball like need to go play You know what I’m saying like these is women playing No disrespect like I I’m one of the biggest fans of WNBA She’s looking like right So I’m like damn I’m like you want me to go play she’s like “Yeah.” And and it’s moving man Somebody that had you know my grandpa had a stroke before So it’s really crazy It’s crazy times Especially that how you know you feel like your body kind of betrayed you in in a sense But Deonte you know just being a team guy Like that’s one thing I got from Desante from this whole interview This ain’t no “Oh man you talk about the Pelicans F you and all.” No no no no Like he’s telling the real what what needs to be heard So and honestly nobody outside of the people that’s really covering the team and the people that’s really keeping up with team nobody really knew what was going on with him that he’s going that he was going through all this like yeah they said it was like family troubles and family problems going on you know family reasons and whatnot But your mother having a stroke you’re by her bedside and you know multiple times throughout the interview he always talked about how his mother is still this toughness in him like you know not to be dwelling on the sadness and go do what you’re supposed to be doing like handle your business Don’t let nothing slow you down So in his mind you know he just talked about like I’ve been not playing basketball Now I’m like you know what my mom want me to go like I’m I’m going to come back and play And he comes back and breaks his hand right so he talked to So he talks about breaking his hand And honestly that being a sign from God like you know this is not what’s important right now You know this is not this basketball is not important right now You need to be by your mom You need to be taking care of your mom So this is what Dejante had to say about that I go back to New Orleans literally a day before the first game without practicing anything I go play cuz not only my mom wanted me to go play there was that guilt that you talk about Yeah This team traded for me The point guard to run the show keep everything organized I got something to prove to them Back what you said You feel like you got to prove [ __ ] all pivot to the same It all comes to the pot You know what I’m saying so you know I get there and everything’s great I break my hand first game and I’m out And the [ __ ] that hurt me was that I felt like that was God saying “No you got to be with her.” Like she wanted you to go there but nah you broke your hand cuz you got to go rehab and be with her right she needs you more than this game needs you You know I go back with her and my mom And it’s powerful because God does show you things in ways that you just don’t see yourself But it does take you it does separate you and move you away Like you know what let me look back at what’s going on You know I’m I’m going 1,000 miles per hour Let me slow down Let me really analyze what’s going on and really understand the moment Right so I get that You know that might have been a sign from God You know what bro slow down Like let’s let’s relax You need to be by your mama This is way more important Like this you only get one mom You only get one mom So it’s it’s it was such a powerful and riveting interview up until you know he just starts cooking the franchise which needed to happen which needed to be happen because I think that this is going to finally put pressure on the franchise to clean yourself up man Clean yourself up So now this next clip this is where things start to get good Now Deontay starts to talk about the lack of support that the Pelicans organization has given him the lack of be able to get training time the lack of be able to get court time to even go get treatment And then when I hear that it just goes to shows like well damn is Zion really the one missing workouts and skipping practice and all this because it sounds like they don’t care It just sound like this franchise doesn’t care at all Like this is a guy that you traded for that you brought in to be a leader that you brought in to be the the motor that makes this car run You brought Deonte in to be the motor and you he can’t even get time to get on the court to go to go work out and do all that So this is what Dejonte had to say It’s a little lengthy but stick with it The organization it just it got bad man Like as you guys could see like such and such got fired another guy left they brought new people in and it was a situation to where like seriously like I got all these problems going on Not only my mom I broke my hand I recovered My mom had a stroke One of my cousins got killed Then my uncle overdosed Damn Back to back to back And in the meantime of all this like I’m not getting what I need in organization It’s hard for me to get my training table time It’s hard for me to get lifts It’s hard for me to get my own court time So you can only imagine where my mental is at Stress I’m stressed I’m mad every day I’m sad I’m angry I I just I don’t want to be there at that time Like it’s so much going on You feel what I’m saying and it’s crazy The day I tore my Achilles I’m in the car with my brother driving to the game All this stuff is just wearing on me because I’m seeing something that’s going on that I’ve never experienced in the NBA The NBA’s always been the ultimate professionals and everything How you work how you walk how you talk whatever you get everything You know what I’m saying that’s never going to be the problem to to to to people to come get your work You know they got food they got everything you need The problems usually come from outside of it or your play You produced or you didn’t You know what I’m saying it ain’t those things And I’m somebody that’s really detailed about my work You know my work is my work I don’t play about my work So not only I have my hand my mom my cousin my uncle I’m not even able to get what I need right my mind’s in a whole another world I don’t even know if I want to play basketball at that time And when you hear stuff like that it’s just a total failure at all fronts from the organization From the organization And this has been going on from Tony Allen saying that oh when I was on the Pel Tony Allen was on the Pelicans for a cup of coffee and a and a smoke That’s literally all Tony Allen was on the Pel how long he was on the Pelicans And he talked about oh yeah we getting we getting the leftovers from the Saints like they he’s like he was basically talking about how oh we we just like the little stepchild next to the Saints Like we get all the scraps the Saints don’t get We got to do everything after the Saints and do all that from Boogie Cousins just always trashing New Orleans Well not New Orleans the city but the franchise like always trashing the Pelicans talking about if Cooper Flag goes to the Pelicans he’ll be a bust You got him saying that between like Lonzo Ball Dyson Daniels who who you literally drafted You literally drafted this man This man has never been in America been in America less than five years And one of the main spice first comes to New Orleans talk about yeah the franchise is cursed You know everybody get hurt blah blah blah something going on You know you have all these negative bad stories come out about this team about this organization And at what point is enough enough at what point does this organization want to do better y’all know if y’all actually watch my videos y’all actually been here y’all know why I always say this We can want better for the Pelicans but until the Pelicans want to do better by themselves none of this matters None of it None of these videos I make none of these little type of you going to the games you spending money doing this all this If they don’t want to better themselves and they keep looking as this product as just a money grab for Gail Benson then what are we doing what are we doing you’re literally running all your best players out of town That’s why nobody wants to come play for the Pelicans That’s why nobody’s over here like Desante was one of the first people that I see in a long time that was actually like excited about going to the Pelicans Now maybe he was just putting on a front like now we kind of see maybe he’s put on a front you know just being you know a good guy you know being a want to be accepted by the fan base Maybe he was want to do that But at the same time this man was had a Pelican shirt on the second he got traded And this is how they do him This is how they treating him like this He can’t even get time to go work out in the court He can’t even get time to get some treatment Like it’s like all this It’s Why is that so hard as he’s talking about it’s like you know if it’s your own court like it’s the NBA bro They supposed to provide these things for you food all this Like you should be able to have a court at all times to be able to go get some shots up Simple If you’re in the NBA and your an organization you think at the Golden State Warriors if Steph Curry calls saying “Yeah I’m going to get some shots up gonna be some type of problems.” Do you think that LeBron James called the Lakers up yeah I’m about to go get some shots up in the gym It’s going to be some problems that they going to uh you know oh you know uh like what i’m not sitting there saying Dejonte is a franchise guy But this is how you’re supposed to treat your players So word of mouth goes around that other people want to come here Now you see why the Pelicans can never land a big time free agent Now you see why the Pelicans are never in the sweep stakes that oh yeah this guy wants to Nobody wants to play here because the organization People want to blame the city It’s not the city It’s the organization It’s the organization from top down Now you talked about now I get it It’s a new regime Joe Dummars is here Let’s see what they can do You know Griff all them people out the door right swin Cash everybody gone All right The the people that isn’t talking about they’re not here no more But this has been going on between Dale Demps back in there with the Hornets and David Griffin era And now hopefully Joe Dumar can come in and clean this up But and my confidence of him doing that I don’t think so I don’t I’m not really too high on it because hearing this is this is like a horror story hearing an NBA horror story about how organization literally does not have your back But he keeps going He’s not done there So this is what Dejonte had to say about you know leading up to Terence Achilles against the Boston Celtics and just the slap in the face the organization told him after the fact So here’s what Djante had to say Something was going to happen Like I told my agent too I’m like man if if something don’t shake like something’s going to happen I don’t know what it is The way that things is going and where my mental is at it wasn’t just me It was everybody’s mental every player like I hope this bring police to my brothers I hope you know they everybody gets what they need I hope the organization you know get it together like cuz you have the talent but it ain’t just the talent You need every dot to connect to have a chance to go win But even that game I just was mentally gone You know what I’m saying like I was just gone It I’ve never felt this way I don’t smoke or drink right so I’m feeling something that I don’t even you know what I’m saying i don’t understand I’m like why i got hurt the first quarter Like right away Right away And then what hurt me the more about that situation is when I got hurt right there I got up walked it off went to the back My girls being told my brother’s being told “Whatever you need whatever you need You need anything Whatever you need.” I’m sitting on the bed like damn whatever I need after I tear my Achilles right you know so you know that that that was that But like I said I could be a little crazy I laughed at it honestly My Achilles it is what it is Yeah Yo uh it is what it is And look there’s going to be people that watch this video I was like “Oh these guys get paid millions of dollars.” Like who cares that they’re going through family problems who cares that you know his uncle getting shot and his mom got having strokes and got to go to the ICU who cares bro you’re getting paid millions of dollars I was getting paid millions of dollars I’ll be I’ll never hear peep out of me And like I hate people like you because at the end of the day these are still humans You still have emotion Just because you’re getting paid millions of dollars doesn’t mean you have emotion Now I’m not sitting there saying you got to sit there and and bootlick and kiss his shoes and kiss the feet he walk on kiss the ground he walks on Never said nothing like that But there’s going to be people that be like “Well who cares bro you getting millions If I had a million I’m over here uh kneede in concrete I got I’m getting I got my nuts in a steel meal and all this It’s a thousand You know it’s gonna be people that watch that There’s going to be people that say that about this But truthfully this man got all this going on and you have to go play a game Like he’s got all this going on The franchise doesn’t have his back He did say he had nothing to say bad about the city This all about the organization It’s not even saying it’s nothing bad He’s just bringing awareness to what the hell was going on with his situation and how last season was just a season from hell for him And honestly you can see why right the organization just did not have his back and just to tell him after the fact that after he tore Achilles that anything you need and it’s like well I’ve been begging to get all this stuff beforehand and it just so happens that this tragic event had to happen to me for y’all to really have my back and it was just and it’s it’s a little depressing I’m going to say guys it’s a little depressing because it’s like can this team ever be normal you know between Zion’s little off the court escapades and now we got the Dejante news like the Pelicans are just do they ever have good PR you know being a public relations specialist for the Pelican is must be a hell of a job right you got to cover up for Gail Benson and the Catholic Church You got to cover up for Zion’s little off the court escapades And now you got Deante talking about how the organization just never had his back And that he had to tear his Achilles for them to be like “Anything you need?” And he’s like “Damn anything I need after I’ve been asking and begging and pleading to get all this stuff and like now like now y’all care.” You know and say just an organizational failure Now granted Griff the guy that pulling the strings and running this this show is gone So there’s good news at the end of the day There’s good news But when is there ever going to be good news about the Pelicans because this is word of mouth man Like word goes around the league that these players talk I hope y’all know that Like this ain’t just some isolated incident You don’t think Dejonte’s telling these other players about this you don’t think other players have came here like I eat Lonzo Ball How he was just talking about the Pelicans once he left Josh Hart Josh Hart I forgot Like you got people like Josh Hart Josh Hart you’re nobody Cool You’re a zeroway rebounding wing 67 rebounding wing Like I’m give him a 2K build Like you’re a zero way You don’t not two-way You’re a zeroway rebounding wing And he talks bad about the Pelicans And he was here for what a cup of coffee too He got traded for CJ McCullum Like he was here for the AD trade and all that But at the same time it’s just like damn man When is this organization ever going to get that act together and I’m going to put the link in the description for the Desante F Now I don’t know how this copyright stuff’s going to work or whatever So you might just see a picture design table with words like just the audio behind it because I don’t know I might have to maneuver We gonna see But I felt like I would be doing a disservice if I didn’t bring attention to this if I didn’t bring attention to this Like this is just it’s inexcusable I’m sorry It’s inexcusable It’s inexcusable by the franchise and all fronts and they need to be better So y’all get down in the comments Y’all let me know what y’all think What do y’all think this franchise will do do y’all think the Pelicans will ever want better for themselves one day instead of just you know hey we we getting a check Who cares cool We got an NBA team Cool Until they until the Pelicans get moved Now it’s all like “Oh boohoo Oh man Why now the Pelicans are the Las Vegas rattlesnakes.” But it’s like when we was here the franchise didn’t care They didn’t care to want better They didn’t want to build a winner But we going to see man Y’all get down in the comments man Y’all let me know about DeJonte comments And y’all don’t get it Don’t send this man no hate He just being real And a lot of players wish they could be open like this So I appreciate Deante for being open and bringing awareness to this because it need to be it need to be brought to my attention And then I’mma bring it to y’all’s attention because this can’t happen Changes need to be changed Like I said changes did happen We got Joe Dumar’s but we shall see So I’m signing out man It’s been your boy Jordan Kitchens and I’m out Peace

  1. Dude, you are falling for a guy who is definitely average at best. The organization has bern trash since David Stern sabotage the trade with the Lakers.

  2. Gayle Benson needs to sell the team. You failed as an owner.
In the NBA you need structure. This organization is a waste of time and money. They continuously focus on loyalty instead of what's best for the team. Chris Paul , AD, Ingram , Dyson Daniels. Pelicans need new owners this is pathetic

  3. Pelicans need to structure there contracts around attendance …if you don't play you don't get paid. Pay them so much per game…or sell the team to a competent owner

  4. Murray is a bust trade..let's be honest …he ain't showed us ..nothing. so embarrassed to be a new orleanian. This franchise has sucked for a decade ..I started watching the hornets I was 40…I'm 52 and they still suck

  5. You could give the money back and go spend all the time you want with mom…that's cool…but give back the money you didn't earn ….it's called stealing ..is what you did stole money from an old lady

  6. Jordan it don't matter.at the end of the day the Pels paid this guy millions for nothing. No return on investment on top of losing good players like naji Marshall and Dyson Daniels and Jonas valenchunas all 3 of those players are more productive.

  7. I get your point about we all humans …tell him give back all the money he got paid to do nothing…i feel bad for your mom bro..but if I missed a whole year of work …I'd.be homeless ..so no I don't feel bad

  8. I think there’s some truth on both sides, but more importantly this will bring awareness to the Pelicans organization to do better. Like I say all the time “where there’s smoke there’s fire”. I’d like to keep DJM but if he feels we can’t give him the support he needs maybe both parties need to move on. The only issue now is that his value has decreased so we won’t be able to receive as much in return because he possibly wants out. He even said it himself that the talent is there and I agree, we just gotta figure out the other front office stuff asap.

  9. We are the laughing stock of the NBA, plus players talk. We are probably last on every free agent list as a destination. New Orleans Pelicans is a joke of an organization ❤

  10. You sound so stupid!!!! The whole starting lineup was injured last season. And it sounds like he was happy about being injured. He didn't wanna be in new orleans anyway. Dejounte is still on Pelicans payroll and you dont go on a podcast and down talk the people thats paying your injured ass. He's just another injured cry baby, just like Cousins, Ingram, Lonzo, and Zion fat ass. You can feel sorry for these soft ass players if you want, but I wont!!! You're super GREEN!!! These players are just as dysfunctional as the Pelicans organization. Get Dejounte tf out of here!!!! You and Dejounte murray both, are delusional!!!!!!

  11. Dejounte, Ingram, Murphy, Zion, CJ, Herb, Hawkins, Alvarado all injured last season. Some of them got injured 2 to 3 times. You sound crazy blaming the organization for that. I don't think any of them played more than 35 games. What the hell was the organization supposed to do with the top 8 to 10 players of the roster all OUT for dam near the whole season?!??! Stop the goofy talk

  12. If he don't want to be in NOLA just seek a trade. Get the bad apples out now. Why would you talk about the organization like that. When Pels traded for him he raved about the Pels, and now this. He did the same thing with San Antonio and Pop. Clean house and move on Dumars. Period!! But also, on the other hand Pelicans Brass need to get there 💩 together or just sale the damn team. I see RC want to ask questions. 3 sides to a story.

  13. Murray also said that "He couldn't stop smiling when he found out he got traded to NOLA" but wanna talk shyt in front of people…He also said during an interview after he broke his hand & he was back playing he said "He wanted to thank the Pelicans franchise for keeping what happen to his mom in house"…He said usually stuff like that gets out but the Pels didn't let it get out..They had a bad year with all th injuries but he was hardly their to be saying shyt like he couldn't get no table time,no court time, that shyt didn't make any sense…He only played 30 games…smh..Couple people from San Antonio said he's like this he will talk shyt one day then the next month try and say he didn't say nothing…

  14. The problem bro is Mickey Loomis. He should have never been over the Pels. Truth be told he really shouldn’t be over the Saints. His time over the organizations has been expired.
